Cons: Pool was down for maintenance for our entire stay of 5 nights. This was an important reason of staying here, since it was snowing back home in Montana. Bed was not very comfortable, felt old. Pros: Super nice staff in all areas. Breakfast was good. Convenient location to visit our family.

Great people and clean property. It’s a bit dated and worn. The single elevator with distant stairs can cause some congestion. Very nice breakfast area and friendly staff make it a pleasant stay.

Unfortunately the pool was not working. We were not aware until the day after we checked in. We would have stayed somewhere else had we been told. That was what my son was looking forward too. Also, the dead bolt would not lock on our door. Great restaurant right next door. Breakfast was great. The cleanliness and staff were friendly.

The Fairfield Inn and Suites was fantastic. We will definitely stay there again on our next trip to Tucson. Check in and out was easy. We used the safety deposit box at the front desk while travelling and that worked out great. The breakfast, it was awesome. A variety of hot food was always available along with make your own waffles, cereal, hot oatmeal, fruit. More than enough to keep picky eaters happy (both young and old) Fernando the person who kept everything filled and hot was a great person to talk to as he was from the area and could give excellent suggestions for restaurants and places to visit. The housekeepers were great and kept everything neat and tidy and super clean. The bed was really comfortable and the room we chose had plenty of room for the two of us. The blackout curtains worked really well and we slept well which was a surprise to both of us. The pool was lovely but there was a broken umbrella and the trash didn't seem to get removed until it was super full. Where are the towels?? This is a really nice hotel in the foothills of the Catalina Mountains with a beautiful view from the pool deck. Definitely a good pick for the price.

While I loved the proximity to our event, the place itself is showing signs of wear, especially at the pool area. Everything felt old, dirty and in disrepair outside the property.

A little disappointed with the pool area, but it was great for a night stop. Parking lot on the other side of the fence, small area and hot tub out of commission. Rooms are large and bed was comfortable.

The property is in a great location for hiking, playing pickleball and seeing other sights. The breakfast options were very good. The only problem was the carpet was very dirty. So much so that we wore shoes at all times while walking in our room.

The rugs were very old, dark and damp. I felt that they were dirty and moldy. The bed mattress was uncomfortable and the bedding and decor needs a big makeover The orange sofa looked dirty. I didn’t sit on it due to the appearance

Did not get the room I reserved and paid for in advance, a king. I was told at checkin they "sold out of them" before my stay. Service staff were friendly, breakfast had wide variety of options and staff kept food refilled throughout service time. Room's overall appearance was worn. Beds were comfortable and room temp was comfortable. Bathroom had mold on the wall and ceiling, dirty exhaust vent, and was dimly let. Did not feel I got the value for my money and will stay elsewhere when I'm back in Tucson.

Very dated and in serious need of a facelift. We had to go to the front desk and complain about an ant infestation in our room. I asked if there were any rooms we could switch to but he said only available ones were on the 2nd floor. My wife has stage 4 renal cell cancer and wasn’t feeling well enough for a big room switch! He then gave me a can of bug spray!!

Property was in a good area and was convenient for my stay. Hotel is rundown and has various maintenance issues. Housekeeping didn’t service the room during our stay, which is still common for lower end hotels post pandemic. Front doors of hotel were not operational and had to be operated manually which is ridiculous. Room toilet ran constantly because it needs a new float. Furniture is worn and needs to be replaced. Better hotels nearby. Guessing this is a franchised property and owners don’t put any money to it.

All was excellent and everyone was friendly and professional. Room and breakfast area was clean. Only suggestion is light on bathroom mirror was very dim with no side light so difficult to put make-up on. Minimal complaint, but was surprised about that, given the nice hotel.

Every member of staff I met was warm, kind, and solicitous. Rooms were quiet and clean. The sofa bed had a mattress that was little more than a filthy sheet stretched over springs, noisy and uncomfortable. But if you don’t need the sofa bed, it’s great value.

No warm water in the tub/shower in the morning around 7 to 9. Food was ok. Air conditioning is cold or off until room equalizes. Then cold. Always a bit loud and hard to sleep with if you are a light sleeper.

It was fine. A little worn. Biggest problem is there is no grit for solid footing in the step in bath tub. Very slippery. Shower was lovely once footing is established. Hang on!

The hotel's location was great, near Naranja Park where we watched our granddaughter play soccer and near a bike path where could connect to almost anywhere in Tucson. Also, the bed was comfortable and the breakfast was yummy. The only downside was that we reserved a king-bed room, which they didn't have, so we had to settle for a two-queen room. Also, the carpet and paint in our room were a bit worn; time for an update.

Stayed there 6 days. Had hot water 2 days, luke warm 2 days and cold 2 days. Complained to front desk with no resolution. Heater sounded like Jet engine. Probably got the only room without a view. Food was quite good.

This location had close parking and all the staff were nice. Decent breakfast was included. The room was small, dark and had a peculiar smell. Wasn’t a very inviting room.

This place is run by a kind and hardworking staff. They even took the time to remember my name and I was greeted every time. The breakfast is delicious and has a very wide variety of foods, something for everyone. The building is very nice and clean but I give them a 10 out of 10, because of the staff. From administration, to the cleaning crew, I was always given an honest smile

Grill and ice machines both down. Day two had a male hotel staff member follow us all morning and as soon as we left, with my 16 year old niece hanging back, he entered our room without even knocking! Then proceeded to question my niece. When brought to the GMs attention he laughed and stated he believed his employee and that he followed protocol/procedure. We were then PROMISED no entrance to our room and three nights later we returned to our door open! I think they have thieves there stocking when you leave to take items and rummage through your personal items. Called to complain and still awaiting a return call! Do not stay here! We felt violated, unheard, and insecure the ENTIRE stay!

AWFUL. The front desk staff were NOT friendly, at all. They made 3 errors over the course of my stay regarding my booking, and never apologized for a HUGE inconvenience they caused. This hotel needs to be updated, and for the price you pay, and considering how impolite the staff is, it is NOT worth it.

I would rate this much higher if I could. The front staff was absolutely amazing, very kind, accommodating, knowledgeable, friendly & welcoming. Really all of the staff was great. The breakfasts were awesome, pool was nice, room was super spacious & comfortable…. Highly recommend!!

I would rate this much higher if I could. The front staff was absolutely amazing, very kind, accommodating, knowledgeable, friendly & welcoming. Really all of the staff was great. The breakfasts were awesome, pool was nice, room was super spacious & comfortable…. Highly recommend!!

All was excellent and everyone was friendly and professional. Room and breakfast area was clean. Only suggestion is light on bathroom mirror was very dim with no side light so difficult to put make-up on. Minimal complaint, but was surprised about that, given the nice hotel.

Good value for money hotel in the Oro Valley with great Mountain Views. There were a couple of restaurants close by but generally you would want a car to get around.

So easy to find! Lots of restaurants and shops close by. The elevator was old and slow; the stairs were very far from our room. Those were the only drawbacks. Super clean and remodeled nicely with a tasty breakfast that slightly changed each day we were there.

The hotel's location was great, near Naranja Park where we watched our granddaughter play soccer and near a bike path where could connect to almost anywhere in Tucson. Also, the bed was comfortable and the breakfast was yummy. The only downside was that we reserved a king-bed room, which they didn't have, so we had to settle for a two-queen room. Also, the carpet and paint in our room were a bit worn; time for an update.

Excellent location! Set against a backdrop of red-rock cliffs, this hotel is quite affordable considering that there are several high-end resorts nearby. Nice facility, very quiet area, helpful staff, decent free breakfast. Not near the local freeways, but that's also a plus if you don't mind a short scenic drive.

Even thought 3 pm was the stated check in time there was no problem checking in early. The staff were all very friendly and we were impressed with the variety and tastiness of the free breakfast. Sausage, scrambled eggs, bacon, egg,cheese and sausage biscuit sandwiches and lots of condiments good juice selection along with the waffles, bagles and muffins. They had a great cereal selection with fruit and yogurt, oatmeal and lots of toppings. Excellent variety. We would definitely stay again!

Did not get the room I reserved and paid for in advance, a king. I was told at checkin they "sold out of them" before my stay. Service staff were friendly, breakfast had wide variety of options and staff kept food refilled throughout service time. Room's overall appearance was worn. Beds were comfortable and room temp was comfortable. Bathroom had mold on the wall and ceiling, dirty exhaust vent, and was dimly let. Did not feel I got the value for my money and will stay elsewhere when I'm back in Tucson.

The Fairfield Inn and Suites was fantastic. We will definitely stay there again on our next trip to Tucson. Check in and out was easy. We used the safety deposit box at the front desk while travelling and that worked out great. The breakfast, it was awesome. A variety of hot food was always available along with make your own waffles, cereal, hot oatmeal, fruit. More than enough to keep picky eaters happy (both young and old) Fernando the person who kept everything filled and hot was a great person to talk to as he was from the area and could give excellent suggestions for restaurants and places to visit. The housekeepers were great and kept everything neat and tidy and super clean. The bed was really comfortable and the room we chose had plenty of room for the two of us. The blackout curtains worked really well and we slept well which was a surprise to both of us. The pool was lovely but there was a broken umbrella and the trash didn't seem to get removed until it was super full. Where are the towels?? This is a really nice hotel in the foothills of the Catalina Mountains with a beautiful view from the pool deck. Definitely a good pick for the price.

The room was awful. Shower tub didn’t drain fully, partial caulking disintegrates, shower head corroded, no room cleaning the first day. Shades didn’t easily open or close. Occasional rattling sound throughout the night. Could hear sounds, foot steps from surrounding rooms. First day breakfast was great, second day seemed to feature leftover eggs from prior day: crusted over and revolting.

The towels smelled like rotten eggs. The breakfast was boring. Sometimes the eggs were like rubber, other times smelled like they were cooked in the same dish that bacon or sausage was prepared. There was no variety. Almost the same thing every day, and every day there was something they ran out, such as coffee creamer, or tea.

This is a typical Fairfield budget hotel, but the Oro Valley location is in desperate need of refurbishing. The in-room furniture and fixtures are in need of replacement. The property does not look like or feel any work has been done in years. The bathroom (shower curtain) smelled of mildew. I was also disappointed that the hotel's record of my Hotels.com reservation was purportedly for a different room type, but when I showed them my confirmation they miraculously found the proper room that was previously unavailable.

The breakfast was terrible. No butter for the pancakes or toast . Scrambled eggs were dry and crusty. We stayed 3 days and both morning breakfast were the same. The 3rd morning we went to a restaurant down the street.

The room was on the 2nd floor above the pool. A bunch of little league kids were staying at the hotel for a tournament and the pool was happening at 11:30 pm. And there was constant running up and down the halls. Not the hotels fault but nothing was done to calm them down. Parents fault of course.
