The property was misrepresented. Received numerous emails that breakfast was provided as cook to order - when we got there were informed that it was just a basic buffet. The staff were aware that info on website was incorrect but were not able to change it. Pool was supposed to be heated and it was not. Informed we were "safe" walking towards the downtown but do not go the other way. The floors were not carpeted and were not clean - feet got extremely dirty walking on them. Most of staff was very good and professional.

Hector, at the front desk, was very friendly and kind. After we got to our room, he called to make sure everything was okay. He provided me with a toothbrush and brought it to my room. I told Hector the Jacuzzi was not clean, and the pool guy was out there the next morning cleaning it. Breakfast was good with a lot of options. The young lady in the cafeteria was attentive and kept everything clean.

We had a very nice stay. The suite was large and set up well for our needs. It could probably use an update, but everything worked and it was clean. We couldn't hear people next to us, but definitely heard them above us. The breakfast was delicious with lots of choices. The pool was heated, so we were able to swim in April! The staff was very kind and helpful. We will definitely be staying here again!

The room was old and rundown. Window faces walkway so you have to leave it closed. Scratchy towels. Poor water pressure. TV didn't work -- but to staff's credit they tried to fix it and offered to move us to a suite, but we were already settled in and tired. Sheets rather rough although OK. Noisy nearby bar kept us up one night with heavy bass. Breakfast at co-located restaurant was free but bad -- weak coffee, watery oatmeal, underdone bacon, untempting sausage patty, out of yogurt. BTW, no elevator to second floor.

After speaking to the front area clerk to request for a bottom floor room due to a recent surgery and no elevator available at the facilities, Expedia was not able to cancel the reservation which was done late at night due to recent hospital discharge times. Being a unique situation, we expected understanding by cancelling our reservation even though my husband mistakenly got the keys to the room before knowing there was no elevator available at the premises. The Best Western employee was very accesible to cancel the reservation and the person helping from Expedia did not want to accept the cancellation of the room because my husband had already received the keys to the room. I am very disappointed for this decision since we constantly use Expedia for our reservations. Again, it was unique circumstances where a manager could have been able to make an exemption and cancel the room. We were going to use Expedia for another hotel that could accommodate our needs anyway. The negatives of the hotel were not having an elevator available, but Expedia disappointed us for not being able to understand the situation and cancel the reservation. We ended up keeping the room due to this and the time, but I definitely risked opening my surgery incision by using the hotel’s stairs.

- First off staff was lovely and accommodating - 5 star for that - First room smelled bad but in fairness the moved us - Hot-tub was lukewarm - Gym was out of order - Rooms not as nice as photos - One of our rooms the sink was clogged - how was this not noticed when they cleaned it? - neighbourhood has a big homeless community - decent restaurant down the street

The room was nice as well as clean, with a large comfortable bed. The staff were all polite and check us in pretty quickly. Had a lot of fun hanging out at the bar and restaurant "Bumstead's" attached to the hotel, where we all sang Karaoke with some friends eating delicious food and good drinks. Didn't have the time to enjoy the pool and jacuzzi, but it looked refreshing. Would definitely stay again.

Staff at check in and breakfast staff friendly. Unfortunately the room extremely not sanitary had to unfortunately swat a roach in the bathroom and getting woken up each morning with a leaf blower and in the middle of the night with the train passing not the greatest.

Room was ok. Beds were comfy. Floor needed to be mopped. Shower head was close to wall, so I had to shower in the corner. Also, not much water pressure- water just kinda fell out of the shower head. Not the best location either.

Clean, updated, quick and friendly check-in. Didn't care for the many train horns throughout the night. Did appreciate the 3M earplugs provided by the hotel. :)

We booked this during the Gem & Mineral Show in Tucson, so we paid very high rates for the room. The property has very nice garden area to sit in with shade and water features. The rooms are tired, though, with the fixtures showing their age (very loose handles) and dim lighting. The beds are very good, however. Parking was not a problem even though the hotel was fully booked. The breakfast provided was second class, with bargain brand cereals and reconstituted scrambled eggs. Nice fruit choices, though. The hot choices did not vary over three mornings. Overall I would rate this an average hotel experience.

Nice older hotel, well maintaned to a point. Very noisey if you're on the 1st floor you can hear any movement people make upstairs. Wi-Fi was awful, worse than the old dial-up on AOL. Couldnt connect to email or anything, terrible. I've enjoyed staying here for years but im done. reported the wi-fi and nothing was done. also had a broken light switch 6 inches away from the shower VERY DANGEROUS! I always liked staying there because of the retro design etc, and the food is decent at the adjacent restaurant for Breakfast. The staff is nice enough, but dealing with a lot of things out of their reach and the owners probably don't care about things like Wi-Fi access in the 21st Century

The staff was amazing and the room super clean, however, we were in a corner room that had the ice machine right outside. With no security, there were homeless individuals constantly refilling ice throughout the night. We didnt feel safe unfortunately and wont return to this hotel.

Staff was very friendly. Check in was easy. The front desk called our room within 30 minutes of our arrival to make sure everything was to our satisfaction. The breakfast provided at the restaurant next door was tasty and a made our stay enjoyable.

customer service was very poor, we kept getting told two different things based off late check out, the lady at the desk who was there mornings named Angela we weren’t very sure if she was rude or nice, she was nice enough to not charge us early check in but her tone was very off, we were told that late check out is a $30 fee by this lady but with Angela she said that there wasn’t any late check out after 12pm but then told us that we can check out at 2pm for $75 , she was also rude when I told her our room number when we checked out we had said the correct number but she heard a different one. we didn’t like her customer service at all but overall the room she gave us was very neat.

Bed was so comfortable that I was actually able to sleep. When I called about a room on 1st floor because of hurt knee she upgraded me to a suite. Highly recommend

Is an older BW property, but maintained well. Beds were comfortable, a/c worked great, clean room and most impressive how friendly and helpful the staff were. All greeted you with a 'good morning' or hello as they encountered you. A bit disappointed with the surrounding area...homeless camps across street in park area...not the BW's fault.

The staff is great, rooms old but nice and clean. The park across the street is often full of unwashed, fragrant homeless. The city is cleaning it up though.

Property was super close and convenient to university for move in weekend. We had the place to ourselves, not too busy. It was nice. Some train noise at night, but not bad. Facilities were older but well maintained. Only negatives were that there were homeless across the street at the park but they never bothered us at all ( and it was just me and my daughter at times). The only real negative was that the hotel still states cooked to order breakfast- this hasn’t been true since July 2024, I believe. They offer a decent breakfast bar with several warm and cold options but not cooked to order.

Right across the street from park with lots of homeless. Found a person scavenging in a trash can next to my room when I came home one night. Did not feel safe and did not feel safe leaving my car parked. Was provided ear plugs upon arrival. That’s never a good sign. Since I was right next to a noisy ice machine I needed to use them. Very poor experience. The employees were nice which was their only redeeming quality.

The staff was amazing and the room super clean, however, we were in a corner room that had the ice machine right outside. With no security, there were homeless individuals constantly refilling ice throughout the night. We didnt feel safe unfortunately and wont return to this hotel.

The property is centrally located, close to Pima Community College, U of A., and downtown. Very comfortable rooms. Staff was very friendly. Free breakfast is a nice bonus.

Nice little last minute stopover stay for the night. Location near University of Arizona. Very nice change of the usual breakfast scene, where a voucher is given to have breakfast cook to order from a selected menu in an on-site restaurant👍!

Staff was very friendly. Check in was easy. The front desk called our room within 30 minutes of our arrival to make sure everything was to our satisfaction. The breakfast provided at the restaurant next door was tasty and a made our stay enjoyable.

The property was misrepresented. Received numerous emails that breakfast was provided as cook to order - when we got there were informed that it was just a basic buffet. The staff were aware that info on website was incorrect but were not able to change it. Pool was supposed to be heated and it was not. Informed we were "safe" walking towards the downtown but do not go the other way. The floors were not carpeted and were not clean - feet got extremely dirty walking on them. Most of staff was very good and professional.

We booked this during the Gem & Mineral Show in Tucson, so we paid very high rates for the room. The property has very nice garden area to sit in with shade and water features. The rooms are tired, though, with the fixtures showing their age (very loose handles) and dim lighting. The beds are very good, however. Parking was not a problem even though the hotel was fully booked. The breakfast provided was second class, with bargain brand cereals and reconstituted scrambled eggs. Nice fruit choices, though. The hot choices did not vary over three mornings. Overall I would rate this an average hotel experience.

Cramped space in bathroom. The made to order breakfast was a buffet breakfast. It was your average breakfast, definitely not made to order. Not that it was bad, but they sent a message building it up.

It was advertised with free made to order breakfast and that was not true. They had self serve toast and pastries with only decaf coffee and apple juice. That was it. They shouldn’t even offer breakfast because that was terrible. No coffee?!?!?!?! The room was clean but in disrepair. The drawers wouldn’t close and the door stuck so you really had to put your shoulder into it to open it.

Room key didn't work right away but front desk fixed asap, bathroom was small and awkward with the floor peeling in spots, hot tub was broken with a work order put in but nothing posted. Pool was lovely and attached eatery was fabulous!

Set your expectations low. The room had an awful odor-stale and must that almost felt unsafe to breath. Upon arrival a spider climbed out of the drain, which was quite jarring and honestly flat out gross. I was nervous to take off my shoes and had to convince myself to get in the bed to sleep. While very reasonable in price, it goes to show that you get what you pay for. Wouldn't recommend and will likely never stay here again. The front desk staff was friendly, and it was close to UofA, which were its only redeeming qualities.

This was a shockingly old hotel, we had ants in our room, We could barely open and close our door in and out of the room it stuck to bad, I could not open it but my husband could. I don't know that there are very many hotels in this area that are worth staying in we looked around while we were driving aound that the area is so run down. The college campus is very nice but it's impossible to get a reservation at the hotel on campus I'm sure that one is nice but can't confirm.

Unfortunately they move me 2 times after the first room was dirty bed undone and more then in the second one all of sudden all the lights when off even ac third room was good the girl in the froon desk was very polite and got us a nice room after everything else was good

The hotel is not in great shape but the price was right. The walkways are crumbling and the fountain was dry but the rooms were comfortable enough with some somewhat recent upgrades, a working AC and TV. Couple issues with the bathroom, water filled soap/shampoo bottles and a small roach nest under the wash cloth on the soap dish holder and in the corner of the ceiling, nothing we couldn't work around and not the best of visuals.
