I like that this is one of the only properties that still serve breakfast and provides drinks throughout the day. It is friendly. I don't like that the pool has been under construction for years. There are no plans to make it functional. Should remove it from advertisements.

It is the middle of July and the pool was closed. There should be a way to denote this on the Expedia site. Also, the site claims they have cribs but then we were told that now they are suddenly a fire hazard. After a long day out with family, we could not immediately get into our rooms because when we were checked in the first clerk did not activate our keys for our full stay. The breakfast and the breakfast lady however was great.

Hotel is ok. Some confusion when I checked in because I reserved the room through Ex. Pool was empty and closed. Numerous men coming and going at all hours of the day and night. Loud! This hotel used by train co in area for all of there staff to stay.

We have two large dogs. Finding a place to stay without being charged an arm & a leg is tough. This place fit our needs. Check in we easy, only charged $20 per dog with a $100 refundable deposit. Most places charge $150 non refundable per dog. Most won’t allow large dogs, which I find crazy. Statistically, more dog bites are committed by small dogs. Not to mention, if you have a large dog in your house, you make sure it's housebroken. We have many friends with small dogs...always a mess to clean up! From the outside it's a little meh. No water in the pool and a lot of the landscape was cut down. It is in CA in the desert, no water. Room was a bit dated and worn, but the bed was pretty comfortable. There was a coffee maker, microwave and mini fridge in the room. I can never travel without my own pillow because I am picky, but there were plenty of pillows to chose from. The breakfast area is nice and clean & breakfast was pretty good too. Sausage and scrambled eggs, pancakes (cool pancake machine), yogurt, fruit, cold cereal, toast, juice and coffee from what I remember. We all slept well, even the dogs.

This was the dirtiest hotel I've ever visited. We needed to stop while coming back from Las Vegas and I booked a room here based on the price. Apparently, this hotel is mostly used by BNSF train crews, and since they don't have any other options, the hotel doesn't seem to bother with any kind of guest considerations. When we checked in, we found that our first-floor room only had blackout curtains and no liner, which meant that everyone in the parking lot could see into our room if we wanted natural light :( My wife took one look in the bathroom and said she couldn't take a shower there, as there was an ancient rubber mat in the tub with mold and stains along all the edges of it. We went to the front desk and showed her a picture of the filthy tub and said we can't stay in that room, so she gave us a new room a few doors down. We checked the bathroom right away and saw another filthy tub mat and went straight back to the front desk and told her that bathroom was also not suitable. She then upgraded us to a "suite" on the 3rd floor, but that room had a heavy plastic odor and was very stuffy. It smelled like it hadn't been used in years, so we went back to the front desk again and said that we didn't think the hotel was a good choice for us. The rep said she understood and would email Orbitz to refund our deposit, but the hotel manager declined to refund our money even after I called Orbitz to try to resolve the situation. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THIS FILTHY HOTEL!

The room was totally unappealing and in need of a lot of work. The window was moldy, table had a chunk of wood missing, heater was coming off the wall, the wall had assorted holes in the paper, no soap at the sink, etc. This was our last time to use Expedia!

Breakfast was good and front desk staff were polite. Cleaning person not so polite and room was dirty. Floor would leave the bottom of your feet black. Had used wash clothes and towel upon arrival. Television was small and remote didn't work well.

This was easy to access off the freeway late at night. The staff was extremely friendly. The hotel is very old and tired. It is dirty and falling apart. The beds, pillows, towels and sheets all are past their best.

Do not, I repeat, DO NOT stay in the room right across from the lobby & travel pamplets if you can. Its so noisy from people coming in and out. The room overall was great & staff was very friendly. So I think it deserves 5 stars still.

Checked in @ 3pm. Carpet on stairs needed vacuuming. Lights out in foyer for rooms 231 & 229. Not quite up to the Ramada standards. Rooms has a cracked frame on the artwork hanging on the wall. Bathroom has paint peeling off the walls. Room carpet seems to lack the cushion underneath it.

This place is in serious need of updating. Furniture looks like garage sale rejects. The wall heat/air unit was old and very noisy...couldn't sleep with it on. The bathroom was clean, but needed maintenance. Bed coverings were clean but smelled of bleach. The bed was cheap, hard, and uncomfortable. Hallways contained litter. We didn't want to try the breakfast because of the overall appearance of the place...old and in need of maintenance. We travel through Barstow a couple times per year, and booked this place because our usual hotel was booked up. We will not ever book this place again.

Night staff was new and not lnowledgeable on reservations. I was given a standard queen room when I had resrved and paid for a king suite. I was told there were no king suites at t g is location. After we aiting I n line twice she finally found a king suite. 3 times I had to get new jeys as they did not scan at the door. The roo. The decor is from the 70s, the coroded faucet sprayed water everywhere. The exhaust fan sounded like a diesel train. Ar 230am the were kids running around the lobby, screaming and adults talking very loud. The staff did nothing to quiet them down. The night reception had little concern for my issues. I would not stay here again. I think one of the route 66 motels would have been a much better choice.

When I checked in Carmil, had informed me that my reservation was cancelled. He stated that was what the system told him. He stated I had to call someone. I asked who, he stated the third party that I booked with. He stated he could walk me in at a rate and that hotels.com would refund me. I informed him that I booked a non refundable. And it wasn’t refundable. He stated I had to call. I called and of course they were closed with it being almost midnight. I called Wyndham and closed. I texted the Wyndham customer care number and they stated my reservation was active. Carmil told me I had to call them. I informed him it was a text line. He stated that Wyndham didn’t have that. And that my reservation was still cancelled and that he couldn’t find it. Then it turned out from the other worker, that my reservation was accidentally checked in not cancelled.

When I checked in Carmil, had informed me that my reservation was cancelled. He stated that was what the system told him. He stated I had to call someone. And it wasn’t refundable. He stated I had to call. I called and of course they were closed with it being almost midnight. I called Wyndham and closed. I texted the Wyndham customer care number and they stated my reservation was active. Carmil told me I had to call them. I informed him it was a text line. He stated that Wyndham didn’t have that. And that my reservation was still cancelled and that he couldn’t find it. Then it turned out from the other worker, that my reservation was accidentally checked in not cancelled.

We are moving my daughter. I arrived at 3 and confirmed that the room for her was marked, late check in. I said she would not arrive until 11:30 pm at the earliest. The clerk made notes and said it was all covered. My daughter and her 4yo son arrived at 12:15am. She was made to wait 30 minutes while they cleaned a room. Hers was given away at midnight! I am not a happy mama.

The property is very outdated and not kept up at all. The pictures on the website are very deceiving. They are not even close. This property is really run down. The location was close to a older movie theater and plenty of places to eat. Will never stay there again.

The walls are super thin and you can hear everything. There was a dead cockroach in our room on the floor. The bathroom was very dingy and not very clean. The train track is right by the hotel and is extremely loud.

Our room was big. The property was in decent repair and was obviously being kept up and even upgraded in some areas. Night check-in ent very smoothly. Morning desk staff was unable to answer a simple question about our pet deposit. Hot breakfast options: oatmeal, toast, scrambled eggs, seasoned potatoes.

The hotel seems to be mainly used by railroad workers and is the dirtiest I’ve ever stayed at. The staff were friendly and helpful but at no point did I feel clean and I certainly wouldn’t walk around the room without something on my feet.
