The grounds on this property were really nice and well maintained. The staff was always super friendly and accomodating. I would give this resort a 4.5. The suite was just a wee bit dated.

First off it's possible to get here without a car! I'm not going to explain in detail, look it up if it interests you. The front desk told me it was okay to walk on the highway to get to trails. I DO NOT recommend this. It was extremely dangerous. I luckily found a way back that was a little safer. As a VIP member, I'm supposed to get a bottle of wine. I don't drink so I sent the resort a message before the stay. They left me non-alcoholic sparkling apple cider on ice! Overall the resort is like it's own little town with restaurants, a market, gas station, post office, and so much more. You really don't need to leave the resort if you didnt want to. The lake is pretty and so are the sunsets.

Loved the resort! Walkable, friendly and fun! Relaxed by pool and lake! Boat rentals was easy! Loved the store too and breakfast!!

Check in was easy $15 dollar resort fee which i thought was completely reasonable they have a pool and hot tub we got a chalet bedrooms downstairs kitchen was nice balcony was nice the only issue was we wanted smores but the fire pits were closed due to a wedding we will definitely visit again

Room was clean and comfy. Kitchen had everything we needed. There was a basketball court and other outdoor activities. We enjoyed our stay and will be back!

My husband felt the furniture was out dated , old and musty. I felt like it was the whole cabin experience and I really enjoyed it. They have lots of amenities like an activity room, a playground with a grill and a fire pit. Also have a really nice pool and spa. I would definitely go back!

The area around the resort, hiking trails, and beaches were full of litter. The resort itself was very clean. The bar close to our room started playing music at 7 am so we had to close the door and windows.

I used to love visiting Bass Lake when I was younger. Overall, the stay was okay, but left much to be desired. The chalet we stayed in was in need of a deep cleaning. Dust on the furniture, thick dust on the AC/heater units, cobwebs on the kitchen sconces & bedroom, dirty kitchen appliances, dirty/dingy white bedding and a clogged bath and bath sink. Maintenance did respond quickly but a fix it ticket isn’t the responsibility of paying customers. There was a lot of cigarette/pot smoking around the lodging and restaurants, kinda ruins sitting on the deck at the chalet and dining on the patio. The food and service at Ducey’s bar and grill was great. The patio seating gave a beautiful view of the lake. Unfortunately, the food at Ducey’s restaurant for my husband’s birthday was poor and the service was “meh.” My steak was a slab of fat and my husband’s fish was rubbery with an overpriced glass of ice as a cocktail. The lake view window was filthy and the window shade was covered in grime and food. The resort needs some cleaning, “rustic” does not mean dirty. I will not return to the lake chalet’s or Ducey’s restaurant. I’m glad I have fond memories at Bass Lake, but this last one was a bit of a bummer.

There were ants all over kitchen there was dust flying off fan there was stuff splattered all over the roof of the kitchen both TVs did not work had to use tablets to watch tv overall this was the worst time that I stayed here and I have been here a lot times just disappointed I had booked a room for next month still debating on canceling cause of my experience this time

We have stayed at the Chalets 3 times know and it never seems to disappoint. Clean, quiet and we have always been greeted with great customer service. We will definitely keep coming back!

This hotel could certianly use some updating. The floors were dingy and creaky throughout the hotel. We were woken up to creaking footsteps from the room above us. The couch was pretty gross. Also, the microwave was not properly working, the TV was on its way out, and the bathroom exhaust fan was really loud. I probably won't be staying here again unless I hear it was heavily renovated.

Beautiful scenery very nice facilities,spectacular views. Great food in the steakhouse, except that during the meal water started dripping from the ceiling and we had to move tables, no one seemed worried that the ceiling lamp was flickering , probably due to water in the wiring. One area of concern was in the suite rooms , very poor condition, needs a college overhaul, especially considering the price. Broken floor tiles in the bathroom area, rusty metal plate in the toilet area. Glass plate under the tv hadn’t been dusted in weeks. But overall we enjoyed it, not sure we would return unless the rooms are upgraded.

We love the Pines, we’ve stayed there before. Only negative I saw were some areas within the rooms that were not as clean, such as corners or beside nightstands that just need a little vacuuming or dusting otherwise, it is an older resort, but it is very clean and comfortable. Staff was very friendly and amenities were great

I had stay at these facilities with my family in the past and used to be way better.. prices have gone up (understandable) but quality has come way down... hotel looked like it hasn't been vacuum for a few month, dust and spider webs everywhere in the kitchen.. I get is a cabin like stay but at least keep it clean. Place was quiet and staff were politeat out arrival, didn't have the chance to walked around property got in late and left early.. after seeing the inside didn't really had a good expectation on the exterior.

The Inn is on the Lake but our room had no view of anything with trees right up against the balcony. Everything is quite old. Not what I expect for $400/night.

We spent two nights at The Pines Resort the week before Christmas. We had a roomy suite with a king size bed, a large jetted tub, and a sunken living room area that included a kitchenette with a small sink, refrigerator, microwave, and coffee maker. There was also a desk, in addition to the living room furniture in that area. The resort wasn't crowded (which is my preference), and although the lake was low, we still enjoyed being by the water. We ate all of our meals other than breakfast at the two on-site restaurants, which we found to be good. The wall unit kept us plenty warm, but it was noisy when it cycled on and off. The room darkening curtains worked well, even with the Christmas tree lights that were left on all night, and I really appreciated the feature that allowed me to completely darken the two digital clocks at night. However, I would recommend that you check the clocks to make sure that no alarms are set. Overall, we enjoyed our stay, and will keep it in mind for future stays near Yosemite.

Nice atmosphere, can enjoy nature and Lake. The floor plan of the odge was nice, but stair was too stiff. The balcony and view were excellent!

Super cute and quaint! Loved waking up to it snowing. We will definitely be back in the Spring/Summer. Only bummer was the wifi wasn’t working; perhaps due to the weather. Otherwise we enjoyed our stay!!

I used to love visiting Bass Lake when I was younger. Overall, the stay was okay, but left much to be desired. The chalet we stayed in was in need of a deep cleaning. Dust on the furniture, thick dust on the AC/heater units, cobwebs on the kitchen sconces & bedroom, dirty kitchen appliances, dirty/dingy white bedding and a clogged bath and bath sink. Maintenance did respond quickly but a fix it ticket isn’t the responsibility of paying customers. There was a lot of cigarette/pot smoking around the lodging and restaurants, kinda ruins sitting on the deck at the chalet and dining on the patio. The food and service at Ducey’s bar and grill was great. The patio seating gave a beautiful view of the lake. Unfortunately, the food at Ducey’s restaurant for my husband’s birthday was poor and the service was “meh.” My steak was a slab of fat and my husband’s fish was rubbery with an overpriced glass of ice as a cocktail. The lake view window was filthy and the window shade was covered in grime and food. The resort needs some cleaning, “rustic” does not mean dirty. I will not return to the lake chalet’s or Ducey’s restaurant. I’m glad I have fond memories at Bass Lake, but this last one was a bit of a bummer.

The Pines Resort charges $50 for early checkin… lost power @ 8:30pm.. Trouble paying after Ducey’s breakfast and attempted checking out. Common occurrence per employees at the resort.

Staff are friendly. We were given the wrong chalet and the staff took it upon themselves to go the the registration so we dont have to go back and get new keys. The area is beautiful. The restaurants are walking distance though limited. The view of the lake is so serene during winter time. Will definitely come back here.

Run down and dirty hotel with unhelpful staff who were more interested to talk among themselves than serve clients. In the restaurant - waiters didn’t listen to our order and had to remind him twice to bring over the correct drinks. Waiters uniform and apron very dirty. No wonder the hotel was voted one of the best in 2001 (they have posters everywhere to show this) and nothing since. Having taken account of covid 19, hotel needs a complete revamp and staff training and until this is done, don’t charge the amount you do. Many other better places to stay on the area

My family and I arrived early before check in around 1:30 and pre-registered. We were given a map and told what chalet number we were getting and I would get a text message when it was ready. We decided to walk around and explore the property while we waited. We drove around and passed by our designated chalet and made sure it had a fireplace. Mean while other people arriving were getting rooms right away. I went back to the front desk and was finally given keys and was told we got a different chalet number. The chalet they gave us did not have a fireplace. We were very disappointed with that. When I asked why they changed our chalet I was told it was given to somebody else. I felt the staff discriminated against my family. They definitely give preference to certain people. I’m disappointed with the staff and hope they do better and treat everyone equally.

The Pines Resort was perfect for what we wanted. Situated on the beautiful Bass Lake and conveniently close to Yosemite with everything you need at hand. Hiking, boating, dining, relaxation, grilling; everythinh at an affordable price with great service by the helpful and welcoming staff.

Our room overlooked the lake and it was beautiful to wake up and look out. I liked that it was like a little town where you can walk around and do grocery shopping or just go to a restaurant. If your going to visit Yosemite I would recommend this place

Overall would give this place a 3/5 stars. Be aware that if you plan to go to Yosemite it’s almost a 2 hour drive from the resort from the horse fall trail head. Also be aware kings canyon is equally as far. The resort was beautiful. The views of the lake were awesome. The restaurants on site were good but close early. It really felt like a small little town. The market on site was reasonably priced. The resort was near a bigger town which was helpful. Bed was comfy and suite was big!

We spent two nights at The Pines Resort the week before Christmas. We had a roomy suite with a king size bed, a large jetted tub, and a sunken living room area that included a kitchenette with a small sink, refrigerator, microwave, and coffee maker. There was also a desk, in addition to the living room furniture in that area. The resort wasn't crowded (which is my preference), and although the lake was low, we still enjoyed being by the water. We ate all of our meals other than breakfast at the two on-site restaurants, which we found to be good. The wall unit kept us plenty warm, but it was noisy when it cycled on and off. The room darkening curtains worked well, even with the Christmas tree lights that were left on all night, and I really appreciated the feature that allowed me to completely darken the two digital clocks at night. However, I would recommend that you check the clocks to make sure that no alarms are set. Overall, we enjoyed our stay, and will keep it in mind for future stays near Yosemite.

MY wife and I went to the Pines Resort for a quick get away. It was ideal and exactly what we wanted. This place is usually very busy in the summer time but not as much during the winter which Is a perfect spot for a quiet relaxing get a away for couples who need to get away from it all. The room is spacious and relaxing. The staff goes above and beyond to make your stay a great experience and the food no matter where you eat is fantastic. Duecys restaurant dinning is top notch and the grill serves up really good quick eats. The pines store has everything you could potentially need along with a huge breakfast burrito for quick breakfast on the go. We will definitely visit in summer time even though it sure to be busy.

Beautiful scenery very nice facilities,spectacular views. Great food in the steakhouse, except that during the meal water started dripping from the ceiling and we had to move tables, no one seemed worried that the ceiling lamp was flickering , probably due to water in the wiring. One area of concern was in the suite rooms , very poor condition, needs a college overhaul, especially considering the price. Broken floor tiles in the bathroom area, rusty metal plate in the toilet area. Glass plate under the tv hadn’t been dusted in weeks. But overall we enjoyed it, not sure we would return unless the rooms are upgraded.

Enjoy our quick trip up to Bass Lake. Very quiet this time of year which we enjoyed. Cabin was a little cold at first and we couldn’t get the heater to work but had an extra blanket and were warm enough. Food at the restaurant was very yummy for breakfast and dinner. Loved the views.

The resort has everything you might need right on property. There is also cute little town just down the road. The onsite restaurant was nice and staff there were very friendly as well. Food was good. The lake is beautiful and the kayaking is easy (not turbulent or too windy). We did not rent from the onsite marina, but its nice that it is an option for outdoor stuff. The only thing I would suggest is they should let you know about the very steep staircase down to the bedroom area. The kitchen had the barest of plates bowls and silverware. It was enough, but just. However, the whole place was very clean, didn't smell in any way (even though it was "pet friendly" as we had brought our dog. I will definitely go back.

Resort was great everything is conveniently located. You have access to the lake the pool, which overseas the lake the restaurants there’s a coffee shop. There was a wedding going on and we couldn’t hear it from our house. It was a pretty busy weekend and we couldn’t really hear any of the neighbors.

Our bathroom was downstairs and the toilet was leaking water. Very steep stairs to the bedroom downstairs. If anyone was walking upstairs, it sounded like the ceiling was coming down. Very noisy. The resort itself is beautiful. Staff are the friendliest. Will not be staying in these chalets again.

La Hwy 120 (Passo Tioga) chiude da ottobre a fine giugno, limitando l'attraversamento del parco da est verso ovest. Quando il passo Tioga è chiuso, l'Eastern Gate o il Tuolumne Meadows di Yosemite non sono accessibili.
