Cabin S02 was very comfortable, cozy and efficient. My only complaint would be that there is No AC downstairs. Very uncomfortable on Sat. Night.

Wonderful customer service. Cottages very clean, complimentary coffee. Refrigerator, microwave. Beautiful fireplace. Will definitely be back. Lights outside when it’s dark. Picnic table bbq area. I love it. Very cozy, welcoming. Me and my husband really enjoyed our stay. We will definitely be back.

It was very clean. Bed was great - firm! Fireplace, double shower heads, jetted tub, small kitchenette (microwave, coffeemaker, fridge, sink). We never saw the staff - everything was ready when we got there. Communication was through text with a code for the door lock. They checked on us from time to time. Needed a lot of cosmetic work! Cracked ceiling, peeling paint, cracked bathroom tiles, wifi a little slow, sink and bathtub showed some porcelain damage, chintzy door lock.

Had some trouble with WiFi not working properly, and door getting stuck. Overall was clean, and very nice cottage. I would recommend or come again in the near future.

I took a trip up to Big Bear to get away from the Los Angeles heat wave. I had never stayed at Sleepy Forest but my friend booked her cabin here. I was so happy I was introduced to this place and will be a return customer! The cabin was so cute and cozy! The kitchen was stocked with all of the necessities. It was like having a little home away from home. Check-in and check-out was super easy and the staff were courteous and caring.

This was my first experience with 'hands-off' business dealings for an accommodation. I found it a bit impersonal. There were little things in the room that could have used some attention but there was no one to tell. These are cabins in a rustic setting and the exterior light was burned out, I tripped one evening coming back to the room. Luckily I didn't get hurt. But there was no one to tell about the light.

It’s old and needs a lot of work. The shades were all broken so privacy was def an issue. The spa tub was gross. We ran the jets four times to clean it out and it blew nasty out each time. Decided not to use afterall. The property overall needs work. Probably won’t stay again.

The spa tub was very large and worked well. The bed was comfortable the shower in the bathroom was walk in and had 3 shower heads! The kitchen was very nice. It had a good sized refrigerator and freezer and coffee maker and microwave plus stove and oven with utensils and pots and pans , plates and cups and glasses. Really big fireplace and large flat screen tv. Very quiet area and handy to many restaurants!

This place was amazing, the staff is attentive and super helpful, super easy check in process. 10/10 would stay again. Super close to the village so that’s a plus, on site parking is always nice! The bed was a little stiff but everything about the Sleepy Forest Cottages was great

Location was great, compared to last time i stayed 2018. Maintenance has gone done hill. Unfortunate pest due to cleanliness. Its quite unfortunate. Please see photo of roach i killed in frig. Guess your site wont let me upload photo

This property is in a great central location in town. However, the cabin itself was in disrepair. The chain on the door was broken, there was broken tile in the kitchen, and we didn’t even use the hot tub because the paint was chipped all over and it didn’t seem safe or sanitary. Additionally, there were cobwebs in all the corners of the rooms. Worst of all there was a large red stain on the blanket that I can only assume was blood? Basically, I will rather sleep in my car than stay at this cabin again.

The property and cottage were cute. The bathroom had cracked and broken tile in the floor, but if you put bathmat over it, it was ok. The bed was horrible to sleep on defiantly time for new mattress. Parking at our cottage was not very easy to maneuver but if you jockey a few trees, it's doable. All in all, it was Not worth the money, and we will not revisit again.

I enjoyed my stay, beautiful scenery, very peaceful environment. I liked how convenient and close the grocery stores were. Everything was accesible to us during our stay. The cabin we stayed in was a little run down in some areas of the home. Windows we’re dirty and dusty and had cobwebs. The carpet was old and stained in areas.

Pros: cheap and conveniently located. Tub and fireplace are cool perks. Spacious. Easy check-in. Cons: Dirty and outdated. Our feet were black after walking around barefoot. Holes in the wall left unpainted, cracks in the flooring, baseboards hadn’t been cleaned in a long time. The property by us (cabin S01) looked like a junkyard.

Overall good stay. I did notice some ants coming in from one of the sink locations but it’s not an issue. You’re out in the wilderness so it’s to be expected that you might see some insects here and there. Overall really enjoyed the stay.

I liked the location which was quiet with a lot of trees. But the room has seen better days. The bed is so worn out that I had to sleep crossways because it sagged so badly.The bathroom has a steep slant and the floor tiles are all cracking. The room was clean except no one thought to clean the ceiling fan, which when turned on, spewed a layer of dirt all over the bed.

This little cabin is so cute and quaint. When I walked in, I was impressed by the cleanliness and coziness. The bed is very big and comfy. There is a cozy little sofa and very nice, clean bathroom. The problems were these: you can't change channels on the t.v. from the bed because of the height of the t.v. The mattress kept moving around on the base of the bed. At around 3pm, the cabin got hot and stuffy but there's no air conditioner. It would have been nice to have shampoo, conditioner and lotion like most hotels.

I stayed in the cabin that had a whirlpool bath and fireplace. The whole cabin desperately needs an upgrade. The whirlpool bath had cracks, the bathroom was very run down, and the whole cabin felt claustrophobic.

Very communicative which was nice. The cabin was spacious and comfortable. It could use some light maintenance here and there as it’s fairly old, but all the important things were clean, functional and comfortable.

great location in a quieter part of town. Close to a number of good food options and the usual fastfood outlets Parking right outside the cabin and easy access. The cabin is simple and adequate for a weekend getaway. In our cabin #15, the mattress has seen better days, quite uncomfortable, completely crushed in the middle and should have been replaced long ago, but it did have 6 pillows. The overhead fan clicked constantly at any speed other than OFF and made it difficult to get a solid nights sleep. The other option for airflow was a noisy window mounted fan.

Wow I don't like leaving bad reviews I feel that most bad reviews are vindictive. This place is cute and quiet but here comes the issues. The bed is like sleeping on a cement slab. Nothing comforting about it. We arrived late and everything was closed I almost felt like sleeping in my car the bed was that uncomfortable. I paid for a two night stay but ended up going to another establishment with better beds. Now let's talk about the bugs. The front door has a 1/4 inch gap at the bottom of the door sill that allows any creepy crawling spiders or bug into your cabin. Pull the sheets back on my concrete slab and seen a couple of bugs tucked in the corner. Not a bug expert cannot confirm or deny if it was a bed bug. Could have been a Forrest bug for all I know. The bathroom floor tiles are loose. If you are looking for that outdoor experience but being indoors this is the place for you. On the plus side I will give you a 1 star rating because your showers and the water pressure and how hot the water gets will sanitize your body after laying on that slab. If I can give you any feedback. Change the mattresses and box spring and seal the place up. And I'm sure you will have better reviews. You made money off me and I don't even care. Use that money for some improvements. Wish you guys the best. I will never use this place again.

Wonderful customer service. Cottages very clean, complimentary coffee. Refrigerator, microwave. Beautiful fireplace. Will definitely be back. Lights outside when it’s dark. Picnic table bbq area. I love it. Very cozy, welcoming. Me and my husband really enjoyed our stay. We will definitely be back.

Wow! AMAZING!!! From the moment we booked to the moment of check out has been an amazing experience. The reservations manager, Tatyana, is so incredibly kid, knowledgeable and quick with he responses! Check in and check out were SUPER easy and our stay was absolutely wonderful. The are is gorgeous, the rooms are so cute and functional and the jacuzzis are amazing!! We will certainly be coming back again and again and I HIGHLY recommend this property!!! Very decent prices and a vacation you’ll never forget! Thank you so so much to Tatyana and Sleepy Forest Cottages for the awesome time! We will be back soon!

- I arrived there at the time of check in 4 PM - They had maintanance issues (ok, it happens, fine) and asked for 30 minutes - 30 minutes later, another 30, then another 30. - Ok, I think, sometimes things break, and I asked for a refund as it was getting late and I needed a place. - That's where they made it difficult, made it my problem with Expedia, and I go find another place. - Notice I didn't ask to cancel for convenience, but because they didn't have a product to deliver. - I understand bad things happen, but not taking responsibility, and trying to keep me waiting was not ok. - I am trying to figure this out with Expedia yet.

I took a trip up to Big Bear to get away from the Los Angeles heat wave. I had never stayed at Sleepy Forest but my friend booked her cabin here. I was so happy I was introduced to this place and will be a return customer! The cabin was so cute and cozy! The kitchen was stocked with all of the necessities. It was like having a little home away from home. Check-in and check-out was super easy and the staff were courteous and caring.

This was my first experience with 'hands-off' business dealings for an accommodation. I found it a bit impersonal. There were little things in the room that could have used some attention but there was no one to tell. These are cabins in a rustic setting and the exterior light was burned out, I tripped one evening coming back to the room. Luckily I didn't get hurt. But there was no one to tell about the light.

There is no office/employee on site. Check-in was handled via text/email. Couldn't reach anyone by phone to address issues. Very frustrating. The cabin was small, dark and hot...no AC...couldn't open the window for ventilation because there was no screen...The tub was so dirty (old bar of soap stuck in drain). We do not recommend this property.

This place was amazing, the staff is attentive and super helpful, super easy check in process. 10/10 would stay again. Super close to the village so that’s a plus, on site parking is always nice! The bed was a little stiff but everything about the Sleepy Forest Cottages was great

Check in was odd. They never reached out to me ahead of the check-in time, when we arrived there, we had to scan a QR code and upload info. During check, in the web site / text messages we triggered with the QR code —mentioned we should have received a message so we could have processed that earlier than day of check-in. That would have been nice because then we would have already had our room information and code beforehand rather than having to do it at Sleepy Forest Cottages, outside the front desk (which had no one inside at 730pm). Otherwise. Nice stay.

All in all nice little cozy cottage very close to the lake. Customer service was great ask for a fan and they got it to us fast. It was warmer than normal up in big bear. But all in all not a bad cottage if the weather wasn’t so hot.

This property is in a great central location in town. However, the cabin itself was in disrepair. The chain on the door was broken, there was broken tile in the kitchen, and we didn’t even use the hot tub because the paint was chipped all over and it didn’t seem safe or sanitary. Additionally, there were cobwebs in all the corners of the rooms. Worst of all there was a large red stain on the blanket that I can only assume was blood? Basically, I will rather sleep in my car than stay at this cabin again.

I enjoyed my stay, beautiful scenery, very peaceful environment. I liked how convenient and close the grocery stores were. Everything was accesible to us during our stay. The cabin we stayed in was a little run down in some areas of the home. Windows we’re dirty and dusty and had cobwebs. The carpet was old and stained in areas.

I stayed for 4 days. It was very quiet. The area is very chill. Luckily, the other guests were also very quiet. The cottages are also just a short walk away from big bear lake, a must see! I love this town and will visit again soon! And if sleepy cottages has vacancies, i just may book a stay. Note: Food, dinning & shopping isnt as expensive in big bear as you would think. Spend spend spend! Support the economy! 🤗

great location in a quieter part of town. Close to a number of good food options and the usual fastfood outlets Parking right outside the cabin and easy access. The cabin is simple and adequate for a weekend getaway. In our cabin #15, the mattress has seen better days, quite uncomfortable, completely crushed in the middle and should have been replaced long ago, but it did have 6 pillows. The overhead fan clicked constantly at any speed other than OFF and made it difficult to get a solid nights sleep. The other option for airflow was a noisy window mounted fan.

We didn’t like anything about it. It was a dump a block away from the main drag of an old mostly run down tourist town. It was advertised as a cottage in the woods. It was a shabby motel room with trees.

The spa tub was very large and worked well. The bed was comfortable the shower in the bathroom was walk in and had 3 shower heads! The kitchen was very nice. It had a good sized refrigerator and freezer and coffee maker and microwave plus stove and oven with utensils and pots and pans , plates and cups and glasses. Really big fireplace and large flat screen tv. Very quiet area and handy to many restaurants!

There was no staff around no room service to ask for towels, only one put one set of towels, the room had tons of ants all over. When I told the mgr they said thank you, that was it WiFi was slow.

Excellent location, walkable, lively but quiet neighborhood, plenty of dining options around. Bring an extra fan in the summer months. Fortunately, we planned to spend most of our time at the lake because the toomwas stuffy and didn't have AC.

Check-in was quick and easy. Cabin was clean and well-stocked with everything needed. Towels were clean and plush. Bed was comfortable. Plenty of strong, hot water in the shower. Hotel grounds were clean and had plenty of tables and BBQs. Very nice overall and I highly recommend.
