Staff were great, especially Kirby. Other holiday inn I've stayed at had more breakfast options but the food was adequate. Bed was extremely comfortable, room was very clean. The sauna was wonderful. Only down side was it's a little on the expensive side for what it is.

Our second Holiday Inn Express stay in Bishop, CA. 9/28-10/2/26 four night base for daily E Sierra hiking, after four nights in Mammoth Lakes. Our King room was spacious, clean, with lots of well designed storage space, very comfortable bed, and plenty of room for stretching, yoga, etc. Staff—reception, housekeeping, breakfast, maintenance, management—were really friendly and helpful. Onsite free parking easy. Breakfast starts at 5:30AM, great if you want to get out early. Selection fairly typical and good quality. We supplement with our own fruit (berries, banana, etc) and cereal. Coffee is a cut above, with freshly ground beans for every cup—regular and decaf, available 24/7. Centrally located, 5-10 minute drive to most restaurants or takeout. Of note, Yamatani, a great Japanese restaurant, across the street. Mountain Rambler Brewery, Holy Smoke Texas Barbeque. So many great hikes within 30-60 min drive, with a wide range of distances, climbing, effort. Fall colors were popping!
