It was excellent value for money. On the minus side, the rooms were slightly cramped and got quite warm at night. We weren’t aware until the day of arrival that no lunch or dining facilities would be available because of private functions, although it wasn’t a problem.

I didn't realise I'd booked a 'small double ' and that's exactly what I got. My six foot husband didn't appreciate the tight fit to get into the bathroom or the 4ft 6in bed! Room was very clean. As was the whole venue. Staff friendly. Nice breakfast. Plenty of easy parking.

A hotel who doesn’t sell food on a Friday night. On Thursday restaurant was closed before 20:00 bar meals should have been until 20:30 but wasn’t so not good after a long day. Tiny room very cramped. Would not recommend this place at all.

Great value, in lovely surroundings. Rooms are bright and very clean. Fabulous shower. Plenty of secure parking. Breakfast good selection and good quality. Evening meals really good value for the price. Staff are helpful and friendly. All in all excellent value for the price

I came here with my daughter for one night. We couldn't get into the reception and another guest had to let us in. We then waited 15 minutes before somebody came to the desk to check us in. The room was absolutely tiny and in a horrible building it was like student budget accommodation as cheap as you can imagine .....just horrible The bed was very uncomfortable The shower was dirty and so was the bedroom floor. The service at breakfast was existent . I wouldn't recommend this place to anybody.

Very expensive for what it is. Very small room. Sideways shuffle to get round the bed. Tea bags already opened, so I avoided those. Thick layers of dust on the skirting boards. Expected much more for the price. Breakfast was reasonable; no hash browns but overall a decent selection. WiFi not the best either. Would I stay again? Probably not, I’d be looking for alternatives.

The cleanliness was questionable; the hand basin plug hole was filthy, large cobwebs hanging from the ceiling, dirty tide mark in the toilet and window handle broken. The rooms are VERY small and suited for one person. There are no dressers and a few small drawers. Good for one to two days. My room was not cleaned for a few days. The grounds are beautiful. House menu is limited and is the same every day. They are inevitably out of a few menu items. Bottom line: perfect for a short business stay.

The rooms are set within an office type environment and are similar to dorm rooms, its very strange. You have to park up, walk to reception, walk back to your car, and drive round to the bedroom block, and the same in reverse when you leave. Rooms are extremely small, you have to shimmy past the bed to get to the bathroom, the bed was uncomfortable, and cleanliness is an issue, the TV remote in my room was disgustingly dirty, so much so I did not use the TV at all. Breakfast was an absolute joke, again disgusting, lukewarm, looked like it has been sat out for a while. On the plus side, the wifi is decent, and there is plenty of free parking. All in all I would not stay there again.

So much good about this hotel but a few things they could improve on. Reception staff helpful & informative. Double rooms are very small but adequate. Would be a bit of a squeeze with two people in. All very clean, warm & a modern bathroom. Great shower & comfy bed. I could hear the person & bathroom a bit next door. Good parking. Lots of light & CCTV covering. Bar food was just ok. Breakfast was good in general with enough choice, however, the morning staff clearly need to set their alarms a little earlier. Both mornings they struggled to be up & running for 0700. Still running about setting up. No coffee, cups or glasses for juice. Would not have been a big issue but we were on a tight schedule to get to a job. Liked the table cloths, Made it feel more upmarket. Fire alarm also went off at 0620 one morning! Chef rushing maybe? In comparison to many hotels ive stayed in, good value & more than sufficient. A few tweaks needed.

Room is tiny. About 1 foot from end of bed to wall. Shower barely worked, and no hand held hose so you have to wash your hair whether you like it or not. Water barely trickled out so it took half an hour to wash soap off. Kept going from scolding hot to stone cold. Literally a traumatic shower. Lastly room was like a sauna with no aircon and a broken fan. It got so uncomfortable I had to stand in the car park to cool down. Breakfast was great. Parking is great. Shame they can't spend a bit of money and make the rooms liveable

I have to say that this was a last minuet booking, and as soon as I arrived at the picture perfect village, I knew I had made the right choice. Great location, plenty of parking, friendly staff, relaxing bar area, good food, and room was clean & comfy ! .... and recomend you take time to expore the local village too.

Excellent facilities, exceptionally clean, friendly staff, good food. Checkin put me in a room the was occupied - had to start over - frustrating and worrying from a systems/data perspective. Would recommend and stay again.

We were looking for an overnight stay near London outside the M25 to make an easy start driving to Wales. This was excellent value with a good large breakfast included. Interesting old buildings, friendly staff, easy parking. Right on the edge of Cookham which is a beautiful village on the Thames. Plenty of places to eat even on a Sunday evening. I can definitely recommend this rather than the better known towns which are too busy and expensive.

We were looking for an overnight stay near London outside the M25 to make an easy start driving to Wales. This was excellent value with a good large breakfast included. Interesting old buildings, friendly staff, easy parking. Right on the edge of Cookham which is a beautiful village on the Thames. Plenty of places to eat even on a Sunday evening. I can definitely recommend this rather than the better known towns which are too busy and expensive.

Booked on the day due to a change in plans. Positive: Staff very helpful, room clean and modern, nice location and good atmosphere at 'hotel' (which is really a conference centre), very convenient to walk along river, into Cookham, ample free parking. There was an function at the hotel but I was warned and noise was minimal. Nice breakfast included. Positive: Staff very helpful, room clean and modern, nice location and good atmosphere at 'hotel' (which is really a conference centre), very convenient to walk along river, into Cookham, ample free parking. There was an function at the hotel but I was warned and noise was minimal. Nice breakfast included. Good location for Marlow and Maidenhead. Really nice looking place. Room was spotless but very small. Bed was ok but again very small . Breakfast was amazing. Would probably stay again.

Lovely part of the country. Both Cookham and Maidenhead offered a lot of quality evening options. I didn't realise how close the hotel was to the Elizebeth Line. It was peaceful, quiet and pretty much perfect if you're planning meetings/"space to work"/events/team building venue etc.

We stayed hear for 3 nights as a base to explore the surrounding area . Your 10 minutes from maidenhead where you can catch the trains to London your a 4 minute walk from the Thames and 25 minutes from Windsor. realy convenient hotel with great breakfast included and there are plenty of options to eat in the village which are all walkable within a few minutes The rooms are a little small and would benefit from air conditioning as it gets extremely hot in them as the small fan doesn't help but as a base to sleep at the prices we paid cant grumble . Recommended

It was excellent value for money. On the minus side, the rooms were slightly cramped and got quite warm at night. We weren’t aware until the day of arrival that no lunch or dining facilities would be available because of private functions, although it wasn’t a problem.

Very clean rooms with tea/coffee facilities which was good, restaurant was not open evening we stayed due to a function in restaurant but there was plenty of places to eat near by. Breakfast was included which was excellent. Only downside was the space between bed to wall was very tight and made it difficult to walk into bathroom, not ideal if you have issues with walking and Fire Alarms went off twice during night which woke us up.

A hotel who doesn’t sell food on a Friday night. On Thursday restaurant was closed before 20:00 bar meals should have been until 20:30 but wasn’t so not good after a long day. Tiny room very cramped. Would not recommend this place at all.

The hotel’s picturesque grounds—complete with a charming bridge over the water—were lovely and helped offset some disappointments during our stay. The room was very warm and, without air conditioning, became quite unbearable at times. A fan was provided, but it mostly circulated the hot air. The room was small; ordinarily, that wouldn’t matter, but the heat made it feel even more uncomfortable. We also noticed (too late) there wasn’t enough toilet roll, so we had to use shared facilities down the corridor in the morning, which wasn’t ideal. On a positive note, the bed was comfortable and the bathroom pleasant, with a decent shower. Our evening plans were affected when we returned at 10 p.m. to find the bar—advertised as open until 11—already closing. The staff member, somewhat abruptly, explained they were short-staffed due to a wedding and blocked toilets, so the bar had to shut. She reluctantly served us one round but refused Baileys as it had already been locked away. While operational challenges are understandable, all guests deserve equal consideration—not just those attending weddings. Breakfast the next morning was frustrating: the buffet was out of fried eggs, bacon and mushrooms. Although we waited patiently, the mushrooms took too long to appear (so we went without), and by the time we ate, the rest of the food was cold. Given these issues, we'd consider other options when staying in Cookham again.

The Rooms are very small, with very little room for anything other than the bed, OK for a nights stay but not ideal for anything much longer. The desk wasnt big enough for me as I needed to study, however they did offer me space elsewhere to do this, just not ideal. I arrived on a Sunday, no food or bar available Food wise I was disappointed, I ordered a Pizza at the bar/restaurant and it arrived in a box, i.e looked like it had just come from a takeaway

Lovely location and room. However the cooked breakfast was not the best. I was waiting for bacon, which the staff knew I was waiting for bacon until I enquired again to be told that the bacon was the mashed up stuff on the top with a load of other potato, tomato and other stuff - not sure what as to be honest it didn't look good. It actually put me off the breakfast. Was so disappointed. I'm not into cake or breads so didn't try them but was so looking forward to the cooked breakfast.

I would never stay at this hotel again. I made my booking about 12 hours before arrival. The hotel had a power outage the next morning, but they already had my confirmed reservation and my contact details. They never informed me at any time during the day. When I arrived at around 8:30 pm, they simply told me they could not accommodate me. At that time of night, in a remote location, I had no choice but to pay much more for a much worse hotel. The hotel showed no concern for its guests. When I asked for a refund, they told me I had to email them myself. This was completely unacceptable. In the end, I received an email saying they would refund me without any cancellation charge. That is not compensation – it is simply returning money for a room they could not provide. Very poor customer service. I cannot recommend this hotel.
