Our room was unfortunately noisy as we were on the bottom floor. No parking on site makes it challenging as well but the location is close to shopping and restaurants downtown Carmel. We liked the high pressure shower too.

The good: great location, within walking distance of everything in Carmel. The room was very clean and well decorated. The bad; no parking.This can be a real problem. I know a lot of inns located in Carmel don't have much parking but a lot do; Pine Inn, Coachman Inn, Carriage House, Wayside Inn to name a few. Also, this place can be noisy. Make sure you stay upstairs. They have ear plugs in the room for a reason.

Amazing property, service, staff, overall experience! Loved that it was off the beaten path, enough and quiet. But easily walkable to everything & the beach! There’s not much parking, but we didn’t have an issue the whole time! Loved the rooms, decor and breakfast Would stay again!

Le Petit Pali is absolutely adorable. The aesthetic is perfect. We loved the evening cookies and breakfast in the morning. The bed was extremely comfortable. The only issue we had was finding a place to park. There is no dedicated parking and if it is a busy weekend, you may have to park a few blocks away. However, that small issue would not deter us from returning. We will definitely be back!

Pros: Beautiful property, room and great location. Cons: Parking, breakfast selection and thin walls. Although the room was nice and the location was great, the walls were thin. Our upstairs neighbors were stomping around as soon as it hit 6:30 am which was frustrating. You can hear their voices upstairs as well as your neighbors sneezing. They do have breakfast but I thought the selection was very minimal and the parking was not ideal. You’ll be lucky to find a spot out front. The staff however was kind and helpful. We’re glad to have tried out the hotel but it is one that we won’t be rebooking.

Absolutely loved my stay here! The staff was so friendly, quick to offer support and kind. The room was so cute and cozy. I loved the snacks available for purchase and the tv channels offered! The complimentary breakfast was 10/10!!! I never felt the need to go to a cafe nearby. The morning breakfast and evening cookies sent to the room daily were such a good touch and offered that traditional customer service and care that I have missed a lot lately. Lastly the location was 10/10! Nothing to note here. It's perfect for your stay at Carmel. The only downside was no parking but it wasn't too hard to find. Overall, would definitely recommend to a friend or family member.

Le Petit Pali is a FABULOUS hotel! It's in a primo location that is walking distance to anything in downtown Carmel. The staff was all super friendly, they give you a complimentary glass of bubbly on check in, and have a daily cookie delivery service to all the rooms! The whole hotel is decorated in such a quaint and cute way, we loved it. We stayed here for our wedding weekend, and got ready in the fireplace suites on the morning of, and it was perfect! They also gave us a free bottle of champagne in our room as a surprise for the weekend :) We will definitely stay here whenever we are back in Carmel! Only thing to be aware of is there is no dedicated parking lot, however that is very very common for Carmel as it's such a small town.

My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights and loved it. Everything about this hotel is so charming. The lobby, the courtyard, the rooms- all embodied that quaint bed & breakfast vibe that Carmel by the Sea is known for. From the moment we checked in (thank you, Alex, for the great service and complimentary welcome Rosè!), to the moment we checked out and everything in between, the service was warm, friendly, and professional. We will definitely be staying here again the next time we come to Carmel by the Sea!

Property is very charming and the attention to detail is excellent. The morning breakfast is beautiful and delicious. Only a few cons- downstairs room- we could hear upstairs walking quiet loudly- the bathroom door did not fully close and the tub did not seal to hold water.

Quaint rooms. Lovely breakfast staff. Lovely breakfast and a proper teapot. Lacks bathroom shelving. Soft towels. Liked the plantation shutters. Our room was accessible from the interior only, so I felt safer than the exterior rooms. Quite location. Soft mattress. Lots of attention to detail.

We really liked the room and, especially the bed. The room was quiet and clean and nicely large. When we arrived, we could not find a parking space nearby and the host moved his car so that we could park very close to the entrance. We enjoyed our first breakfast; service was quite good. The breakfast on our second day did not go well, because there were too many people for the staff to handle. We eventually got our tea and juice and the other breakfast items were supplied. Parking is a big problem. And some sidewalks are dirt paths. On the positive side, again, all the staff at the front desk were extremely helpful. We especially are grateful to the manager who helped us with TV problems and recommended two very good restaurants for dinners. Overall, we were very happy with our stay.

Absolutely beautiful property! The staff were very welcoming and there for any questions that came up. The whole decor from the front desk to the courtyard to our room was super cute. There are two things that I would recommend. One, fixing the water pressuring in the shower and the other is to have a gluten free pastry option in the morning. Looking forward to next time!

The front desk service was terrible - one person was unfriendly and when we went to leave there was NO one at the front desk for 20 minutes when we were needing to get our bags. The bathroom fan was broken and wouldn't turn off so housekeeping had to come at night to disconnect it from the wall.

The most charming and special little spot! The decor is very grandma-chic meets french-country. Everything was so curated and thoughtful. The staff was very friendly and we loved the freshly baked evening cookies they brought to the room! The room and grounds were immaculate and the small details were so appreciated. The only negative aspects would be no AC in rooms and no screens on the windows, so it felt a bit stuffy at times. The walls are pretty thin too but luckily our neighbors were all pretty quiet. Overall we would gladly stay here again!

Wonderful stay! The staff was amazing, our room was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. Complementary breakfast was delicious and a great way to start our day. The location was excellent, easily walkable to all the shops/restaurants. Dog bed, treats, feeding bowls, and toy was a lovely touch. We’ll definitely be back!

Pros: Beautiful property, room and great location. Cons: Parking, breakfast selection and thin walls. Although the room was nice and the location was great, the walls were thin. Our upstairs neighbors were stomping around as soon as it hit 6:30 am which was frustrating. You can hear their voices upstairs as well as your neighbors sneezing. They do have breakfast but I thought the selection was very minimal and the parking was not ideal. You’ll be lucky to find a spot out front. The staff however was kind and helpful. We’re glad to have tried out the hotel but it is one that we won’t be rebooking.

Absolutely loved my stay here! The staff was so friendly, quick to offer support and kind. The room was so cute and cozy. I loved the snacks available for purchase and the tv channels offered! The complimentary breakfast was 10/10!!! I never felt the need to go to a cafe nearby. The morning breakfast and evening cookies sent to the room daily were such a good touch and offered that traditional customer service and care that I have missed a lot lately. Lastly the location was 10/10! Nothing to note here. It's perfect for your stay at Carmel. The only downside was no parking but it wasn't too hard to find. So adorable, so noisy. This is one of the cutest, most instagramable hotels I’ve ever seen. The staff was wonderful and so polite, the courtyard was gorgeous, the location perfect. The problem was the acoustics. Zero insulation wood floors = a very noisy night. We could hear every move/sound/sneeze from the surrounding rooms. Could also hear every word from people in the courtyard (who were speaking at a reasonable level). The hotel provided ear plugs but they weren’t much help. I wanted to love this place, but unfortunately it was not a very restful, relaxing stay.

The most charming and special little spot! The decor is very grandma-chic meets french-country. Everything was so curated and thoughtful. The staff was very friendly and we loved the freshly baked evening cookies they brought to the room! The room and grounds were immaculate and the small details were so appreciated. The only negative aspects would be no AC in rooms and no screens on the windows, so it felt a bit stuffy at times. The walls are pretty thin too but luckily our neighbors were all pretty quiet. Overall we would gladly stay here again!

The hotel is as advertised, nicely designed and well located. They make clear there is no on-site parking. The staff are friendly but many seemed not to be well trained. We arrived on 6/26 just before 4. Check in is 3:30. At reception a guest was waiting. She said she had arrived at 3 and was told her room was not ready – fair enough – so now she was back. No staff were in evidence. I rang a ship’s bell on the wall and went to the restroom. When I returned, my wife and this guest were still standing there waiting. I opened a door behind the check-in desk. Two women working on a computer and talking. I said “you have customers out here,” they hardly looked up, said “we know, someone will help you.” Eventually someone came and helped us check in. She had offered the guest ahead of us a glass of wine but not us. I asked about that and she quickly poured us 2 glasses. Our room wasn’t ready, even though it was well past check-in. After we had our wine, I went back to ask about the room and she offered to check. It was ready but I don’t think she ever would have checked and let us know if I had not asked. She did ask if we wanted help with our bags (no elevator). I said yes and she called to a guy who I heard answer but he never appeared so we carried our own bags.

Le Petit Pali is even better than a home away from home... I cannot think of anything they could improve... the front desk attendant, the waiter durial social hour event, the waitress during the exquisite breakfast were just nice, customer-oriented and well fabulous.. I also highly recommend the playlist Le Petit Pali has put together on Spotify... best place to stay in Carmel!

We really liked the room and, especially the bed. The room was quiet and clean and nicely large. When we arrived, we could not find a parking space nearby and the host moved his car so that we could park very close to the entrance. We enjoyed our first breakfast; service was quite good. The breakfast on our second day did not go well, because there were too many people for the staff to handle. We eventually got our tea and juice and the other breakfast items were supplied. Parking is a big problem. And some sidewalks are dirt paths. On the positive side, again, all the staff at the front desk were extremely helpful. We especially are grateful to the manager who helped us with TV problems and recommended two very good restaurants for dinners. Overall, we were very happy with our stay.

Le Petit Pali is a FABULOUS hotel! It's in a primo location that is walking distance to anything in downtown Carmel. The staff was all super friendly, they give you a complimentary glass of bubbly on check in, and have a daily cookie delivery service to all the rooms! The whole hotel is decorated in such a quaint and cute way, we loved it. We stayed here for our wedding weekend, and got ready in the fireplace suites on the morning of, and it was perfect! They also gave us a free bottle of champagne in our room as a surprise for the weekend :) We will definitely stay here whenever we are back in Carmel! Only thing to be aware of is there is no dedicated parking lot, however that is very very common for Carmel as it's such a small town.

Basically a flipped motel and not worth the price. Be prepared to hear people in other rooms. The service was not great. We did not get a warm welcome, my wife was basically ignored in the lobby when we arrived. They charged us for something from the mini bar that we did not use and when I called they were kind of rude about it.

The front desk service was terrible - one person was unfriendly and when we went to leave there was NO one at the front desk for 20 minutes when we were needing to get our bags. The bathroom fan was broken and wouldn't turn off so housekeeping had to come at night to disconnect it from the wall.

My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights and loved it. Everything about this hotel is so charming. The lobby, the courtyard, the rooms- all embodied that quaint bed & breakfast vibe that Carmel by the Sea is known for. Our room was unfortunately noisy as we were on the bottom floor. No parking on site makes it challenging as well but the location is close to shopping and restaurants downtown Carmel. We liked the high pressure shower too.

We really enjoyed our stay! The hotel was in a great location that we able to walk to the Main Street. There is no parking on site so you either have to park on the street or there is a free public parking spot about a 5 minute walk from the hotel. From the beach to the hotel it is an uphill climb so for those with mobility issues I would recommend driving. There is a lot of public parking nearby the beach.
We really enjoyed our stay! The hotel was in a great location that we able to walk to the Main Street. Wonderful stay! The staff was amazing, our room was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. Complementary breakfast was delicious and a great way to start our day. The location was excellent, easily walkable to all the shops/restaurants. Dog bed, treats, feeding bowls, and toy was a lovely touch. We’ll definitely be back!

We had a great stay at Le Petit Pali on 8th Ave. Accommodations were very comfortable, great breakfast, excellent hotel staff, incl front desk, breakfast staff, housekeeping staff. Great location, very close to Ocean Ave, with all the shops, restaurants, the beach, yet very quiet. Highly recommended.

This hotel is beautiful and well located for Carmel. The room decor is stunning and there are lovely touches like nightly cookies. The reasons for the four stars are the breakfast is described as a champagne breakfast but no champagne was offered and the hotel is significantly more expensive than other cutesy accommodations in Carmel without there being an obvious reason. That said we really enjoyed it, just don’t think it presents the best value.

Such a great inn that makes Carmel so walkable. The decor was so charming and we loved the fireplace in our room. Le Petit Pali is a FABULOUS hotel! It's in a primo location that is walking distance to anything in downtown Carmel. The staff was all super friendly, they give you a complimentary glass of bubbly on check in, and have a daily cookie delivery service to all the rooms! The whole hotel is decorated in such a quaint and cute way, we loved it. We stayed here for our wedding weekend, and got ready in the fireplace suites on the morning of, and it was perfect! They also gave us a free bottle of champagne in our room as a surprise for the weekend :) We will definitely stay here whenever we are back in Carmel! Absolutely beautiful property! The staff were very welcoming and there for any questions that came up. The whole decor from the front desk to the courtyard to our room was super cute. There are two things that I would recommend. One, fixing the water pressuring in the shower and the other is to have a gluten free pastry option in the morning. Looking forward to next time!

Absolutely darling boutique hotel with thoughtful touches throughout. Excellent staff. High quality Continental breakfast in the morning. Sparkling rose at check in and fresh baked cookies in the evening delivered to your door. Will absolutely return!

Le Petit Pali was very nice and easy to stay for downtown access. The front desk staff could have been a little more friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable but really no closet for hanging clothes. We enjoyed our stay, but thought there were a few things that could have been a bit more personalized or special.

The property is very cute. Great location to walk to shops and restaurants. Clean and quiet. Constructive feedback; the towels are thin and cheap. For a high end property the towels should be thick and high quality. And why just two ? I have long hair, I use two towels a day and my husband needs one towel. There is no iron only a steamer. That’s not the same and when you are traveling and want to go out to dinner you need an iron. The closet is only a cupboard so dresses and pants cannot fully hang. There is no air conditioning. The room was stuffy. The champagne breakfast is false advertising. No one was drinking champagne at breakfast and it wasn’t offered. You have to ask for coffee and wait for them to bring it in little cups. Why not have an urn? The evening reception was nice but service was slow and nothing is complimentary. They didn’t refill the Nespresso coffee pods in the room daily so we had to ask for them. The tissues and toilet paper were also poor quality. Franco the morning sever was great!
