The Lucia server staff was excellent, but food seriously overpriced and menu was fairly unimaginative. Prices on alcohol drinks very high. Front desk staff seems reactive rather than proactive. Check in process was overly lengthy and clumsy.

Stayed here four years ago and loved it. Came back this time for our anniversary, let the front desk know the occasion upon arrival. Resort didn’t make any gestures to make the occasion special the entire stay. I let the front desk know that the glass divider for the shower had a large crack running through it. There was a stain on the bench at the in room dining table and the outdoor fireplace wasn’t working. The resort was not busy. The only offer provided was to move us into a room with a less desirable view. I declined, they completely ignored the inoperable outdoor fireplace for three days. Calling room service often took 2-3 calls to get someone to answer the phone. The stay was underwhelming. For this price I’ve had better experiences and service. We also traveled with our kids. At times it felt like we were at a 60+ resort, did not feel family friendly.

Bernardus is top notch. Cozy, intimate, great for a retreat. Would recommend
