Cozy and friendly. Convenient to restaurants and shopping. On the downside, the walls are thin and you can hear everyone's shower. Parking is not provided and I often had to park more than a block away.

I love this place! It was quaint, you could walk to Orange Av (just a block away and yet it is so quiet!) and so pretty inside. The breakfast parlor was a nice surprise and there were so many nice options in the fridge (yogurts, hard boiled eggs, cheese) on top of fruit and toast, bagels, coffee, tea, pastries... You have a fridge in your room and there is a microwave outside. My only complaint is that the pillows were hard and uncomfortable. I requested a softer one and they offered me a better one but still that is something for the property to work on because they were terrible. Mattress is okay, a bit hard but nothing terrible. Would I return here? In a heartbeat. I am already planning the return trip and staying more days there.

Quaint, cute, no frills and comfortable! Location was perfect, nestled on a beautiful street, within walking distance of Coronado Resort, the beach, as well as a tone of restaurants and shops. I arrived around 3:30pm; check-in was self-serviced after 3pm. I kind of wished there was someone there to touch base when I arrived, but everything was easy to figure out I understand having staff there would probably drive the cost up. Added points for being pet-friendly! My Terrier enjoyed taking walking around the block. The area felt safe even during the evening and early morning hours. My favorite thing was the snacks, coffee bar, and little fridge with yogurt, boiled eggs that was left for us downstairs. Love those little details that make a place feel more homey.

Anna was so kind and helpful, she received my amazon packages and had them in our room when we arrived. This place has charm, especially in the small back courtyard and the ground and front porch. The building is dated, but they have upgraded adequately the bathrooms, bed was comfortable and sheets and towels very clean and clean smelling. It is an old house and there are about 12 rooms inside. I believe all the rooms have an on-suite with the exception of number 12 which has a private bath across and adjacent from the room. 10-12 are in the lower front of the house and 1-2 are in the lower back. I believe 3-10 are all upstairs. Floors are creaky in this older home, so we were careful not be too loud as we were in 3 above 2. Even tho there was a breeze and a window unit, we were warm with the covers so just used the sheet. Great for a one night stay and very close to downtown, one street away. we walked to breakfast and shopping. Parking can be tricky as all the spots are residential and first come, but there are two spots in the alley in the back that we were able to use for unloading. By evening other spots open up. tons of great coffee and breakfast places. Do NOT miss visiting the Hotel Del Coronado!

Cherokee Lodge has charm. This old house has been divided into multiple rooms, including a parlor to have breakfadt in, outdoor courtyard and front porch with rocking chairs. Breakfast was help yourself. Hard boiled eggs, coffee, yogurt, fruit and pastries. Thank you for the bananas! We utilized the beach chairs and umbrellas available to guests. We saw a bike rack- but no bikes. Would have loved a few bike crusiers to explore the island, as the beach is just a few blocks away.

This is a great little historic inn conveniently located near restaurants, shops and most importantly, the beach. The inn is on a quiet residential street with free parking and a nice front porch and backyard, complete with a lime tree, for morning breakfast or afternoon happy hour. The inn is consistently stocked with baked goods, yogurt, water, fruit and breakfast bars. Just make sure to be careful when booking, because some of the rooms come with a bathroom accessible only from across the hall, and not connected to the room. The bathroom was also very small in our room, and the water temperature in the shower was difficult to adjust.. But overall, this was a great place to stay, and if I ever come back to Coronado, I would definitely stay there again.

We didn't know quite what to expect, booking a stay at a bed and breakfast on an island we had never visited before. The curb appeal of the house instantly pleased us. We were met by the beautiful scent of blooming flowers everywhere mixed with the most magnificent collection of butterflies darting about. Anna made us feel welcome immediately. And, since we arrived early, she called us to let us know our room was ready. The things that impressed us the very most are the cleanliness and total welcoming warmth and home-like charm of the house. The beautiful living room/sitting room with a bowl of fresh fruit, a bowl of healthy snacks and the coffemaker to brew fresh coffee any time of day or night was impressive. The ambience and comfort of the sitting room with fresh flowers and the fresh pastries available day and evening were just another added touch of welcome and charm. Our room was impeccably clean and decorated perfectly. The bed, very comfortable and any amenity we might need including hair dryer and magnifying mirror for makeup. We also appreciated very much different sitting spaces outside the house. We chose our breakfast fruit and pastries and fresh coffee and sat on the front porch to enjoy it. At night we sat on the patio under the party lights sipping our cocktail, talking with other guests. The quiet, peace and total comfort of the home was perfect. We hope to return one day!

Clean! Super Clean! White towels and white bedsheets that smell clean and fresh. Love the bed comfort and how sharp and clean was the room. Carpet a bit old needs upgrade but did not bother me.

Very very clean. Small shower stall, but hubby & I took turns, so it was doable. Plenty of fresh pastries to choose from for breakfast! Charming landscape. Close to live theater and restaurants and shopping. Happily recommend!

Location is great, staff is helpful. Garden and around the house is beautiful. Room is mostly clean. Only concern is the smell in the room; probably a mixture of old carpet and cleaning product.

This old historic boarding house is quaint, and offers all of the typical amenities of a chain hotel. The room itself did not smell, but the hallways have a musty odor. Nothing a little Febreeze couldn't fix. The convenient breakfast offerings were nice. Would happily stay here again!

I\'m not sure how this place has good reviews. The Cherokee Lodge is basically a revamped house turned into a hostel. The entire check in process consisted of getting a door code emailed to us and inside a plain old key to our room. Once we opened the door to our room, we were hit with a horrible smell, which my wife identified as mothballs. The furniture and decor in the room can only be described as "grandma style" and pretty barebones. The paint in the room was peeling and the windows looked like the original ones that came with the house from a hundred years ago. Maybe the vibe was supposed to be rustic charm, but it was just run down with no effort put into maintaining it. We visited San Diego during a chilly time (40s at night, 50s during the day) and climate control provided was a $20 space heater from Walmart. The bathroom toilet, sink, and tub were clean, however there was mold on the ceiling. You know why? Because the bathroom had no ventilation fan! The moisture from showers was trapped in there. Long story short, I\'ve never had reviews lead me astray like this place did. I\'d give this a 5/10 (and my wife says that\'s too generous). We only stayed a couple nights, and I\'ve never been so glad to leave a hotel. The ONLY positive I can give is that it\'s in a quiet location and within walkable distance of everything.

Cute B&B. The breakfast was okay - prepackaged muffins and pastries, yogurt, fruit, etc. but they did have this nifty pancake machine. My room was comfortable and quiet. The air-conditioning worked pretty hard and didn't cool the room down all the way but it was okay. There was a ceiling fan in the room too. I had room #7. Keep in mind the bathroom for that room is in the hall, but it's private for that room.

Location, location, location!!! Super walkable to the mainstrip and the beach. The place is warm and welcoming. It’s an old school lodge that is in a good condition. It’s clean and well-maintained. Staff was super friendly. Reasonably priced. The only con was that the place was not soundproof, but I felt all the guests at the time were mindful of noise.

The Cherokee Lounge is an affordable boutique hotel. The room was very clean and the bed comfortable. The location is in walking distance to several restaurants and bars. The hotel was also very quiet. Rooms differ in size. Mine was a bit larger with a fireplace. Definitely recommended!

Convenient location. Off the main drag for quiet atmosphere. Simple, just what we were looking for in an overnight get away. Well kept for age of the property. Nice help yourself continental breakfast with variety of choices of food: fruit, yogurts and plenty of fresh baked goods. Coffee in room was a nice touch. Comfortable bed. Would stay again and recommend this bed and breakfast.

Really cute place. Small but perfect for my solo stay after coming for a birthday celebration. A little loud with kids running in my hallway in the morning but otherwise perfect. Walked to the Hotel Del and restaurants. Great location. Nothing fancy but very nice and cozy.

This is a great little historic inn conveniently located near restaurants, shops and most importantly, the beach. The inn is on a quiet residential street with free parking and a nice front porch and backyard, complete with a lime tree, for morning breakfast or afternoon happy hour. The inn is consistently stocked with baked goods, yogurt, water, fruit and breakfast bars. Just make sure to be careful when booking, because some of the rooms come with a bathroom accessible only from across the hall, and not connected to the room. The bathroom was also very small in our room, and the water temperature in the shower was difficult to adjust.. But overall, this was a great place to stay, and if I ever come back to Coronado, I would definitely stay there again.

I\'m not sure how this place has good reviews. The Cherokee Lodge is basically a revamped house turned into a hostel. The entire check in process consisted of getting a door code emailed to us and inside a plain old key to our room. Once we opened the door to our room, we were hit with a horrible smell, which my wife identified as mothballs. The furniture and decor in the room can only be described as "grandma style" and pretty barebones. The paint in the room was peeling and the windows looked like the original ones that came with the house from a hundred years ago. Maybe the vibe was supposed to be rustic charm, but it was just run down with no effort put into maintaining it. We visited San Diego during a chilly time (40s at night, 50s during the day) and climate control provided was a $20 space heater from Walmart. The bathroom toilet, sink, and tub were clean, however there was mold on the ceiling. You know why? Because the bathroom had no ventilation fan! The moisture from showers was trapped in there. Long story short, I\'ve never had reviews lead me astray like this place did. I\'d give this a 5/10 (and my wife says that\'s too generous). We didn't know quite what to expect, booking a stay at a bed and breakfast on an island we had never visited before. The curb appeal of the house instantly pleased us. We were met by the beautiful scent of blooming flowers everywhere mixed with the most magnificent collection of butterflies darting about. Anna made us feel welcome immediately. And, since we arrived early, she called us to let us know our room was ready. The things that impressed us the very most are the cleanliness and total welcoming warmth and home-like charm of the house. The beautiful living room/sitting room with a bowl of fresh fruit, a bowl of healthy snacks and the coffemaker to brew fresh coffee any time of day or night was impressive. The ambience and comfort of the sitting room with fresh flowers and the fresh pastries available day and evening were just another added touch of welcome and charm. Our room was impeccably clean and decorated perfectly. The bed, very comfortable and any amenity we might need including hair dryer and magnifying mirror for makeup. We also appreciated very much different sitting spaces outside the house. We chose our breakfast fruit and pastries and fresh coffee and sat on the front porch to enjoy it. At night we sat on the patio under the party lights sipping our cocktail, talking with other guests. The quiet, peace and total comfort of the home was perfect. We hope to return one day!

It was well maintained and very good for our circumstances. What I didn't care for was that there was no personal representative for the property. We never knew who was in charge--no one to welcome us or say goodbye to us or anything in between. We did talk to the gardener and he was very nice. I guess electronic communication works for many people, just not me. Otherwise, it was a good experience and I thank those who took care of things for us...whoever you are.

We had an amazing stay at Cherokee lodge. The staff was so friendly and helpful and the room was perfect for what we wanted during our stay. The property is near many restaurants and shops and walkable to Coronado beach. We highly recommend this property and plan to stay here when we come back to San Diego.

The Cherokee Lodge is located in a very nice and quiet area that is conveniently located a block away from the main street. The main street offered a lot of variety of restaurants and places to visit, including the Del Coronado Hotel and the beach. The price was very affordable in a upper middle class area.

Very very clean. Small shower stall, but hubby & I took turns, so it was doable. Plenty of fresh pastries to choose from for breakfast! Charming landscape. Close to live theater and restaurants and shopping. Happily recommend!

This was a very basic place with a great location. I wouldn’t call it a B and B. There is no owner at the property. You’re given a code and you let yourself in. There is no breakfast like in a typical B and B. I felt that it shouldn’t be allowed call itself a B and B. The “breakfast” was left out the night before - fruit, yogurt, granola bars. The water that was in my fridge must have been there for years. Pics on line are very flattering. Rooms are tiny. AC in the main hallway but not in the bedroom. I’d some filthy curtain over my very old and not working AC unit. Shower water burns you when someone flushes their toilet or uses their showers. I’d expect this from a hostel. Over priced for what you get and how they present their place. Location great.

I love this place! It was quaint, you could walk to Orange Av (just a block away and yet it is so quiet!) and so pretty inside. The breakfast parlor was a nice surprise and there were so many nice options in the fridge (yogurts, hard boiled eggs, cheese) on top of fruit and toast, bagels, coffee, tea, pastries... You have a fridge in your room and there is a microwave outside. My only complaint is that the pillows were hard and uncomfortable. I requested a softer one and they offered me a better one but still that is something for the property to work on because they were terrible. Mattress is okay, a bit hard but nothing terrible. Would I return here? In a heartbeat. I am already planning the return trip and staying more days there.

The location is perfect, just a short 5-10 minute walk to restaurants, Hotel del Coronado, the beach. On street parking was convenient. The bed was very comfortable Breakfast is adequate but basic. Other than pancakes and a toaster there are no other conveniences. Admittedly, we are not early risers but hot water availability was barely adequate. During a shower the hot water would run out and then return intermittently, not surprising given the historic nature of the facility. the hot ware system needs an upgrade.
The location is perfect, just a short 5-10 minute walk to restaurants, Hotel del Coronado, the beach. On street parking was convenient. The bed was very comfortable Breakfast is adequate but basic. Other than pancakes and a toaster there are no other conveniences. Admittedly, we are not early risers but hot water availability was barely adequate. During a shower the hot water would run out and then return intermittently, not surprising given the historic nature of the facility. the hot ware system needs an upgrade.

Cherokee Lodge has charm. This old house has been divided into multiple rooms, including a parlor to have breakfadt in, outdoor courtyard and front porch with rocking chairs. Breakfast was help yourself. Hard boiled eggs, coffee, yogurt, fruit and pastries. Thank you for the bananas! We utilized the beach chairs and umbrellas available to guests. We saw a bike rack- but no bikes. Would have loved a few bike crusiers to explore the island, as the beach is just a few blocks away.

My daughter and Granddaughter spent a night here before our flight home. It was absolutely the perfect place for us. We walked to the beach the first evening, it took us maybe 8 minutes and the walk is beautiful. They had snacks and the perfect breakfast assortment that got us on our way the next morning. It was clean, the bed was very comfortable, and the house was so cute. The employees as well as the other guests were so kind and welcoming. Thank you!!!

What size of the property was a great location for Coronado and San Diego. The location was in a walkable area to restaurants, shopping, hotel, del, and the beach. The property was well maintained and clean. Breakfast was sufficient. The staff was very helpful and easy to interact with. The rooms were clean. It was nice to have a different experience than just a hotel, especially in a small quaint area like Coronado. I would definitely stay there again.

The room was clean and spacious. Location is absolutely incredible for walking everywhere in town. They had beach chairs and towels and bikes so everything that you would need to enjoy your stay on the island. I had a room that had a detached private bathroom across the hall. At first, I thought it was going be an issue, but it turned out to be not a problem at all. I didn’t mind it one bit. So don’t let that scare you. I will definitely stay here again for many, many reasons!
