Terrible dumpy hotel, we wanted a place with a hot tub only to discover it didn't work, the sauna didn't work, the gym was out of order, dried paint was on the floor in the pool room from a bad paint job, elevator even barley worked. Would never recommend especially for the cost.

This used to be a very nice place, well worth the money, and I was excited to stay. I was very disappointed and would not recommend staying here. Motel 6 is cleaner and has nicer beds and is half the price! For the price of this hotel, the bare minimum is that it should be clean! There was dirt in the corners of the room, the windows were dirty(paid extra for an ocean view), the beds are a foam mattress, and the sheets are weird feeling. The pool area( which was part of the draw of this hotel) was filthy! Dirt on the floor, empty drink cups, torn up pool noodle, things floating in the pool and tub (I’m assuming the filter wasn’t working), the pool was cloudy, no controls for the tub (no jets, just a warm tub). The shower head was broken off making it unusable to rinse off. The next day nothing had been cleaned and there was a homeless person sitting outside of the pool area (not bad, but as he was sitting by the exit door, I was uncomfortable)

The sauna was not working properly, the jacuzzi was not working at all, the pool was dirty, and the whole area where these amenities were, was dirty. The room was big, the ocean view was ok from the room, but it was great from the dining area.

The landscaping is unkept tall weeds in back supposed to have a view, but the unkept rear yard is what we could see! The bath tub has stains in it that look like blood I paid full price and the jacuzzi and pool were closed! The advertisement says breakfast is available. But they do not tell you that it is NOt included (misleading people. Instead of just saying that there is a restaurant on site that you can my all your meals at) I feel cheated! I should get at least a partial refund because I paid for a jacuzzi and pool but was denied use of it.

My room was nice and the view was good from it. Was disappointed that the pool and hot tub were "out of service"... seemed like they've been out of service for a while was the vibe that I got. The fact that they were supposedly the only hotel in town with a hot tub and swimming pool was the main reason I booked there

Pet friendly meant chemical cleaner smells to mask the unpleasant smells. The cat grooming itself on the checking counter was not interested in catching the mouse running in the lobby. No towels in the dirty swimming pool. No heat in the sauna no jets in the hot tub. Tattered torn wash clothes & towels. Sand in drawers. Ocean view was at angle thru filthy glass. I had asthma attack had to check out early find a healthier alternative. The coffee in restaurant same pods as the room charge $4.50 a cup. Run down and in disrepair. NOT WORTH THE MONEY. Clerks were lack luster not helpful!

The hot tub and pool were out of order. The dining room did have very good food with nice view. The building needs maintenance. Our screen door was off and rusty. Deteriorated around the window frames. Beautiful ocean front view however

Beautiful view of the ocean from our room. Hot tub and pool both had sand, bugs and just wasn’t kept as clean as I would think for the amount they charge per room. The restaurant and bar was confidently located right in the hotel. But I expected the hotel to much more updated, modern and clean for the price.

I was disappointed with my stay. The room had several cleanliness issues, including mold in the bathroom, urine stains around the toilet, and cobwebs throughout. There was also missing tile by the bathtub, which made the bathroom feel poorly maintained. Additionally, for the price we paid, I expected at least complementary coffee, but none was provided. Our room was the dirtiest room I’ve ever stayed in (unsanitary, there was no obvious trash or mess). There was dog hair on our sheets on arrival. My husband asked for a new sheet and the one they gave him (to replace ourselves) also had hair all over it. All of the surfaces of the room were sticky and dirty. The walls had food/snot and god knows what smeared all over. I ended up taking a bottle of disinfectant wipes I had to the room and was disgusted by what I saw. The room came stocked with two towels, being a family of 4 we asked for extra towels and not only would they not bring them to us, they asked we exchange the ones we had for new ones. I’ve never had a hotel ration towels two per room before. The hotel states it’s “pet friendly” online (that explains the hair on our sheets) but I was disappointed to walk around the hotel and see huge piles of poop all over the place.. I guess that is mostly up to responsible dog owners but still unfortunate that they don’t take pride in the cleanliness and appearance of their facilities.

Staff was friendly but the property was beyond filthy. Trash was stacked outside the elevator, the elevator inspection was expired, furniture was broken, bathroom was covered in black mold, cleaning spray was so overwhelming we slept with the balcony door open. We watched kitchen staff touch their face and clothing and then touch the food. We overhead staff complaining about customers over and over- the customers were upset for being charged for items they never received and reservations that were cancelled without notifying the guest. Two sets of guests in front of us who had confirmation numbers were told they didn’t have reservations and there were no rooms. The pool was filthy and not properly kept up.

Very outdated and not very clean. Pool is dirty and freezing. Hot tub is freezing cold water. Sauna took 40 minutes to even warm. Every single window is dirty in the whole building, can barely see the ocean out there. Flooring is awful looking and the installation is so poor it’s pinched my children’s feet while walking in our room. No screen in window, super dangerous. The hallway reeks of urine. Not even trying the restaurant, the hanging Christmas lights in June are a bad sign. Dirty and disappointing. Don’t waste your money!

The heat in the room didn't work and it was really cold. We complained to the front desk and they finally sent someone after 3 compaints. We ended up buying a space heater because we were so cold. They said the heater couldnt be fixed and they refused to give us another comparable room. The whole place smells old and moldy. The hallways were loud and smelled like dog pee. There was dog hair everywhere. The breakfast at the restaurant was poorly made, and it took over an hr for just scrambled eggs and bacon. The TV doesn't even have cable, and good luck if you want to try any streaming services, the TV just kept buffering. Never stay here!

The veiws from this hotel are wonderful best to be found in any hotel in Crecent City. Unfortunately the hotel itself is not as clean as one would hope. There was trash left in the resttroom trash can from a previous guest, which made one wonder if the restroom had been cleaned at all, definitely not very thoroughly. There was a bloodstain on the edge of the matresss showing through the sheets. The land scaping was just weeds and there were no decor at all in the room just bare walls.

Slow, aloof, front desk. Inappropriately dressed. Not friendly. Property is on ocean with so much potential. But this place is filthy. Elevator smells like hot piss and floors and walls are dirty af. If a health inspector came into these rooms, they shut it down. Walls have dirt on them. Tattered Couch in room looks like something you’d see on a sidewalk in ghetto. Bathrooms had hair and filth on toilet. Shower had a clump of hair on wall. Bedding hadn’t been changed, hair all over sheets. My wife, two kids and I slept on top of blankets and used our sweatshirts for pillows bc the pillows smelled like mildew. We got it in a pinch late on a road trip up to Seattle. Costs $300 for the night. Total rip off! Don’t stay here. This place should be condemned. Sold to someone who can actually manage it. Beautiful location with a ton of potential but at present it’s a steamy pile. Don’t stay here!

Old hotel showing wear and tear. Windows filthy so we washed our own so we could see out! Lovely view of the ocean and rocky coastline. Nice to have restaurant and bar as part of the hotel. Most staff very helpful.

The views from our room were fantastic and if that’s all I was going for, I would have given 5 stars. However; the bed just about fell apart when we sat on, it was hard as a rock, our AC unit looked like it could fall out at any moment, there was no screen in the unlocked window that we fully opened. It was a decent deal for $145, but the $100 “deposit”, is a crock. Oh and the button for the jets, pushes clear in the hole, so I had to take apart the tub, just to get them to turn off. Not fun wet & naked!

Loved the location! You can’t beat being on the ocean and hearing the waves. The room and facility itself were well worn. Definitely needs some investment and TLC. Towels were a little raggedy, lamps didn’t work, flooring was peeling in the room…

Motel 6 vibe by the sea that is in need of a deep cleaning. Loud hallways with stone floor including the loud ice maker echos down the hall. Forgot to service room, had to reprogram key mid stay. Employees not friendly. Ocean view is great but noise of outside air condition fan drowned out any ocean sound. Not worth the price.

On a road trip….Found this gem. There was a great place to eat within walking distance and the property has a beautiful beach access. The room was clean and convenient. A little noisy in the morning as people let their room doors slam shut and moved through the hallway. But that’s coming from a person who likes to sleep in!

You only stay in this hotel for the location! The hotel is older, but was clean and had comfy beds. It was really loud with the type of flooring, you can hear everything around you. We were on the second floor and it was really loud in the hallway and the room above. But the access to the beach was worth it. The restaurant is understaffed but the staff was friendly.

A perfect view with a disappointing stay. Staff was nice and very helpful with what they had to work with. The hotel could use a lot of upgrading. The toilet ran and wouldn't flush very good. The faucet in the bathroom would only stop if you turned the handle to a certain direction. The TV was the worst, only streaming on Roku. We tried to watch programs and halfway through they would lose the connection and never come back. No live broadcasts at all. Very disappointing when you want to watch live sports. I guess they are too cheap to have cable or satelite. With the price of the rooms and no complimentary breakfast it is one place we won't return to.

The hot tub and pool were good. No all doors worked properly. Staff at check-in was unimpressive amd seemed lazy. He was not dressed to check people in, never got out of his chair, and he was on his phone. He did however remember to tell us that $100 would be held for incidentals and any missing items. No hand soap in the bathroom. Pool table was a charge to play. Hotel did not have breakfast for guests. Restaurant opened later than posted. No service available in the morning until 8. That is when i saw the first attendant.

It was just what we hoped for, clean, comfortable hotel with views of storm surf and lighthouse. The staff was friendly and helpful. I left my jacket in the closet. The staff held it untill i could retrieve it 2 days later. Just great stay.

Absolutely the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had. Booked my room months ago for a basketball tournament. Spoke to a representative on the phone two days before check in to confirm my room only to arrive on day of check in to be told my room was canceled. They claimed it was because “my card did not go through” but the card on file was never charged and I had spoken with a representative two days prior and was assured my room was safe. They offered to put us in a much smaller room for over twice the price I had originally booked for while also charging us for the roll away beds we would need. Upon touring the room it was dirty and cramped and would absolutely not fit all of us. I will never book here again and will tell everyone I know how unprofessional and unacceptable this experience was. I am also contacting the better business bureau because this happened to at least five other families. All of use who booked rooms at a cheaper rate were canceled so they could fill the hotel with new reservations at twice the rate.

The hotel was nice. The view was very nice. The restaurant looked nice but we could never get in. my biggest complaint about the hotel was The two young men at the front desk. They were doing their job, but they stopped very frequently and just talked among themselves when they should have been paying more attention to the customers and it happened more than once. Not even a word of i'll be with you in a moment, nothing. Act like you care about your job.

Not bad, but staff was rude and not helpful, like being put off by asking questions and demanded $100 damage deposit( I realize this is common but the way it was conveyed as a demand) the hotel was clean but showing age and cleanliness in the halls and lobby.

They canceled my reservation without notifying me! I booked on Hotels.com and chose the "Pay at Property" option. The hotel charged my card before I arrived, said it didn't work, and I received an email (at 2am) about 11 hours before check-in saying I had 24 hours to provide another form of payment. I sent a message on the Hotels App and they did not reply. When I arrived at the hotel for check-in, they said my reservation was canceled, and my room was booked. Even though they said I had 24 hours to provide another method of payment. They canceled my reservation before 24 hours, and did not ever send a message it was canceled. On the app, it said I still had a reservation. The desk clerk said the manager was out of the country. I had to book another room at a higher price because there were almost no rooms left in town. Awesome location but I have never received such terrible service. I don’t mind that the majority of the staff are teenagers or wear whatever casual clothing they seem to choose but it clearly doesn’t stop there. Apathetic and unprofessional in every aspect. I had no lights working in my room so I told the front desk to which he handed me a light bulb. So I’m expected to find a ladder and change out all the bulbs in my room? The electrical outlets were all broken and had exposed wire which is dangerous for my 2 year old who likes to everything. I asked for change for a $20 so I can do my laundry, he said he didn’t want to count it out and asked me to go somewhere else for change and after that the laundry was out of service anyways, just like the pool. They never came to clean our room so we had to go ask them for more trash bags and clean towels on the second day. I spent over $1,300 for two nights since it was the 4th of the July, and was not even close to being worth the money. What a shame for such a great location to be so poorly managed.

FOR MY FATHERS 91ST BIRTHDAY WE BOOKED AN OCEANFRONT VIEW ROOM AND THE VIEW OF THE OCEAN WAS SPENDID. HOWEVER THE HOMELESS MAN THAT IS MAKING A HOME IN THE WOODEN FORT WAS KIND OF A DOWNER. A FIRE HE LIT LAST NIGHT WOKE US UP AS THE SMOKE FILLED OUR ROOM AND WE THOUGHT OUR ROOM WAS ON FIRE. WE HAD TO CLOSE THE WINDOWS AND SLIDING GLASS DOOR BECAUSE THE SMOKE WAS SO STRONG. SO WE WEREN'T ABLE TO HEAR THE OCEAN OR SMELL IT. THATS ONE OF THE REASONS FOR BOOKING THIS ROOM. THE TOILET RAN THE WHOLE TIME AND WHILE IT BOTHERED US .. WE WERE ABLE TO CLOSE THE DOOR TO BLOCK OUT THE SOUND. ALSO, IF YOU WANT TO WATCH ANY TELEVISION , GOOD LUCK! The hotel is at wonderful location. The ocean and beach are a few steps away. I know being that close causes some issues with rust. Our screen door barely slid open. The balcony needed some attention as there were many inhabited spider webs. The area around the parking needed landscaped as the weeds had taken over. The rooms were large, the bed comfortable, and the view was great. I would stay again if in the area.

Great location, good restaurant, Seaquake brewery 2 blocks away, plenty of restaurants and coffee shops nearby. Hotel needs a little TLC but was clean and good deal for the price. Wonderful vistas, I love the rough rocky coastline and the tidepools, if you want flat sandy beach there's a huge one south of it just on the other side of the marina.
Great location, good restaurant, Seaquake brewery 2 blocks away, plenty of restaurants and coffee shops nearby. Hotel needs a little TLC but was clean and good deal for the price. Wonderful vistas, I love the rough rocky coastline and the tidepools, if you want flat sandy beach there's a huge one south of it just on the other side of the marina.

Overall 3 ***. But. Know what you’re getting. Generally Clean and great location on the ocean. Rooms are extremely dated and need a major renovation. Favorable? No carpets so you know the floor is clean versus carpet. Friendly staff No one will confuse this place with a Four Seasons. But looking at the ocean from the bar or back lawn is good

Very nice location and rooms had excellent view of the ocean and sunset. Breakfast not free but good choices with a great view of the ocean. Con - behind the hotel is a beach where a homeless guy is staying within 15 feet of the hotel. Did not feel safe waking to the back after dark. Hotel and city should help the gentleman get more permanent location

The hotel had great views of the ocean. The restaurant was AWESOME! Wish I had more time to eat there. The views in the dining room were amazing and the food was the best I had on my trip. The staff was all friendly.

We chose this location because of its location to the beach and lighthouse, but we were very disappointed. 1) In one room, the main light flickered and went out for the rest of the stay 2) In the second room, the window was broken and the window sill was dirty. 3) The place was obviously understaffed. In the restaurant, we went for an after-dinner desert; the waiter had worked since breakfast and bright in an untrained person to help, our visit being after 7PM. It took over forty-five minutes before we finally had our order taken and dessert finally served. 4) In the middle of the night, one of our room had someone beating on the door and yelling, leaving and returning to do the same. 5) The white towels are clean, but many of them were discolored. Overall, this was one of the worst hotel visits we’ve had in a while.

Pet friendly meant chemical cleaner smells to mask the unpleasant smells. The cat grooming itself on the checking counter was not interested in catching the mouse running in the lobby. No towels in the dirty swimming pool. No heat in the sauna no jets in the hot tub. Tattered torn wash clothes & towels. Sand in drawers. Ocean view was at angle thru filthy glass. I had asthma attack had to check out early find a healthier alternative. The coffee in restaurant same pods as the room charge $4.50 a cup. Run down and in disrepair. NOT WORTH THE MONEY. Clerks were lack luster not helpful!

Our room had a great view. Asked about restaurant at check in - Was told open to 7, be there by 6:45. Was there at 6:40 - It was closed. Asked Staff why, was told lack of customers - My wife had surgery the week prior, and did not want to go out which is why we made it to restaurant in time... Got meal to go at Sea Quake down - It was cold by the time I got back to hotel... Disappointed...

Checked into hotel room and bathroom garbage was full as well as the hand soap bar was used. They kindly changed us rooms, woke up in the morning and the in room coffee pot did not work, went downstairs for coffee & it was $5 for a cup in the restaurant. Not a huge issue but the Spa didn’t have jets. Alright hotel just not really worth paying over $200/night. They can do it because of the ocean view. Our room faced more to the crack house nextdoor

I arranged for the King suite, soaking tub and kitchenette room. Upon being registered and checking out the room, I discovered the following issues with it. #1. Kitchen sink was dirty with fragments of food in it. #2 The support mattress on the right side had a blood/puke/diarrhea stain that measured at least 12 inches x 16 inches in a triangular pattern as if it seeped down from the bed. #3 Management has refused to talk to me or compensate me for the room change to a lower rated room. Multiple messages sent to "Nicky" the manager and he has not returned my phone calls, messages left with reception or messages sent through the hotel website. The hotel is a diamond in the rough with poor management/customer relations. The reception staff were very apologetic and as helpful as they could be.

Being close to the ocean and the view is great, thought we were getting a balcony but didn't that was kinda disappointing. However the staff and apricot property mascot, was great! I believe as old as the property is it needs to upgrade to an infusion smell so you don't smell pinesol. I felt it was very clean. Just older. We didn't eat at the resteraunt but looked good.
