We loved our stay and appreciated the ability to check in early. The hotel is convenient to town despite being tucked away. We did two bike rides which were fabulous. We enjoyed the pool and the hot tub. It was a great overnight stay while we waited for the service to be done on our Motorhome.

The girl that checked us in was very pleasant and very professional. We even chatted for a while and found out that we come from the same area and shared some of the same experiences. The room was very comfortable. We had a king room with a couch. The only thing is, I would say whoever does the cleaning of the rooms needs to pay attention to the edges and the corners around the bed. They look like they haven’t been cleaned in a very long time. Overall, the stay was very pleasant. The guy when we checked out this morning was not very chatty and I stood there while he was helping another lady with my keys because I was gonna tell him about something in the room, but he never really acknowledged me so I just dropped my keys in the basket and walked out. I would stay at this hotel again. The reason we chose this hotel because it was very close to the bike trail that we wanted to take. We overlooked one of the garden areas. It was a beautiful view out the window.

The hotel is old and run down, yet despite that they charge a $250 deposit. The hallway outside the room smelled of urine, and the carpet is old and wrinkled. There is an on site restaurant and bar but it isn’t open much. Overall not worth the money

Beautiful hotel right near historic downtown Folsom. Lots of activity at this hotel, but was very quiet in the hallways. Room was spacious and ample parking. We went down to the bar to watch Thursday night football and staff were very friendly and accommodating. The hotel grounds were very pleasing.

The room was noisy. You could hear people in the other rooms and in the hallway. The lighting in the room was poor. Light switch for the bathroom was not inside the bathroom, nor was it just outside the door. It was in the little hallway. You could not turn on just the light for the bathroom. So if you went to use the bathroom in the middle of the night, anybody sleeping in the hotel room would have to deal with the light. The main door to the room fits so poorly at the top of the door, hit the frame and had to be pushed hard to close wall at the same time gap at the bottom of the door was so big I could push a finger through it you could actually see the carpet in the hallway from inside the room with the door closed. The location was nice, the hotel looked nice, the room sucked.

I was pleasantly surprised by the hotel! I had read reviews on other sites that were really negative, so I I was nervous. Fortunately, we loved it and would go back. You can take an elevator right up to the historic district. We discovered a fun beach across the river/lake. There are two walkable bridges that will take you there. The only thing I didn’t like about the hotel room was that the shower water didn’t get hot enough. Also, bedding could have been a bit thicker. Other than that, we were very happy. We took a trip to Placerville and to the Gold Bug Mine, and also to Coloma State Historic Park during our visit.

Great location but place is very dated and in need of a bit of a refresh, including the rooms. Also, there were kids and adults running up and down the hallway until after midnight. The staff was far from engaging and making sure you were getting everything you needed. Asking any type of special request, like do you have plastic forks, was challenging.

They left the window cracked unbeknownst to us, and we heard drunk people yelling and screaming most of the night. Also, there was no plug or nightstand (or lamp) on my side of the bed, making it difficult with my cpap.

Overall stay was good. Bed was the most comfortable bed I’ve ever slept in. Room was clean. Building was older, but decent. Only issue was the front desk staff. For the love of god you’re in the hospitality business. It’s important to acknowledge guests and treat them kindly. This was an issue checking in and checking out. I felt like I was burdening them. Overall trip was great otherwise.

I have been rescuing dogs and cats for years. And time to time me and my Service dog and rescue support. We travel to this place to visit my daughter to intrducw to our sercice dog but our stay was terrible. Front staff knowing the credential and the ID number, my service dog had and they even had welcome sign for service dog and treated my dog with unwelcome feeling that we only stayed because it was prepaid. They still gave us a hard time and unwelcome feeling. I feel like if you dont have a dog, tbis is a place for you.Anyway, they still question us about my sercixe dog knowing he has been verified which we all know by federal law, all service dog are allowed into premises. If you have a sercixe dog and you like this place, do not come here. I work with animals for ma y yesrs.

My wife, traveling alone and disabled had a horrible check in experience with Amanda (with me on the phone) at 5pm with the hotel 50% occupied. It was unprofessional, difficult, delayed and unpleasant. The room had a broken door that could not be locked. The staff was unable to repair. At checkout, her mobility is limited and they said they would bring up a cart for her belongings, but they didn’t.

We had such an amazing stay here! Janel both checked us in Friday night and checked us out Sunday morning, and she was so sweet and took care of us really well. She helped my girlfriend with breakfast Saturday morning after I started my 100 mile run, and then all while she was in and out while I was running, they continued to take such good care of her. My run finished at 9am Sunday and we went back to Hotel for a quick nap before driving back to San Diego and Janel once again took care of us by giving us an extra hour late checkout for us to catch a little more rest before making the 9 hour drive home. 5 stars for the Hotel, but 100 stars for Janel!!! Thank you, we will definitely be back!!!

Great location, close by restaurants and by the lake. Folsom Historical train station is across from the hotel. Has a trail behind the hotel. Definitely will go back.

This property doesn’t try to be another common “luxury” farce. Instead it’s very clean, the restaurant on site was reasonable and the food and service was excellent. I’m in my 80s and could have used a bellman but I didn’t see one so probably should have asked. I would stay again.

Your staff is generally cordial and friendly. When you go to a hotel, they make you feel welcome, which is not true and every hotel. I’ve stayed here many times, and the ambience in the vicinity of Folsom little town is exceptional. The only gripe I have was the Service I had for breakfast Saturday morning. I don’t think I’ve ever had a server that was unfriendly and just didn’t want to be there. The food was ridiculous. Very expensive I spent almost would tip almost $30 for two poached eggs, paperthin bacon, and two dried out pancakes. You guys have to do better to compete with Karen’s. You guys are a class act, with prices to match, and a bit of cheap choices glaring back at you.

A good hotel should have hot fresh coffee available for early risers. No such luck here, We had to wait for the restaurant to open at 7 am. Also the mattresses were not good. The hotel is spotless and the pool is nice. We stayed here because it’s walking distance from downtown Folsom and there is an excellent farmers market on Saturday mornings.

Although older, this hotel was a delight to stay in. The room was cozy, and we loved that it had a m microwave oven. The staff was friendly and the food was good in the bar and grill. We will definitely stay here again if we ever come back to Folsom!

This was a stopover trip between the Bay Area and Tahoe. We enjoyed ourselves in the limited time that we had there. The room was really nice and the best compliment I can say is that I slept through the night cleanly!

The hotel was old and smelled. The pool was pretty useless and small. The breakfast was awful and at $20 a plate was laughable. Thankfully it was comped because of the wedding party that went until 11pm that thumped the whole place. The AC was excellent though. Loud but effective. The room was musty and we were considering just driving away after we spent some time in the room but it was kind of late and we didn’t feel like driving. The beds were actually okay. If you want to be in close proximity to old town Folsom, you can’t beat the location. If you are used to a nicer hotel experience and not a motel experience, look elsewhere. The staff was perfectly nice and helpful. Won’t be back.
