Proximity to beach was convenient but low budget hotel. The problem was I couldn’t microwave a frozen meal the microwave gave out half way through and the staff gave me hassle to help. Next morning tried to microwave breakfast and was told I had to wait till 8am bf they could help. Still waiting to see if I get my deposit back as she stated microwaves don’t heat stoffers meals. I’m sure others would have more to say

The LUV coffee shop next door is great. The motel on Labor Day was WAY too pricey for what you get. Tiny TV, AC turned off when we arrived. Tiny fridge also unplugged. Could definitely find a better place for the money and there’s never anyone at the front desk when you need them. Will go elsewhere next year

No ice machine, my tv would only do volume and power if you physically adjusted or turned off at the TV. Floor was filthy. Could not fit into the shower. Constant excuses and lame explanations why everything doesn’t work. Actually had stayed two nights and then had to rebook and stay another night. There was six people staying there and I asked if I could get back to my old room or check in early and they said it would be a $60 charge. They purely did it for the money. There was rooms completely open. Plus the homeless people one actually walked by my door on the third floor and asked if she could take a shower in my room. You think they would do a better job of maintaining considering their location, but clearly ownership doesn’t care. I would definitely not recommend this place and I live in the area.

That was a cheap motel, advertised as a luxury suite with an ocean view. I paid 300$ to stay at a cheap motel! A hotel room like should not be anything more than 100$ that was fraudulent advertisement and I feel like I was ripped off. I stay in room 310, with a view of the freeway and the sound of engines to go with it. I could of stayed at the best western for 180$ The parking was horrible, the bathroom was small.

That was a cheap motel, advertised as a luxury suite with an ocean view. I paid 300$ to stay at a cheap motel! There’s a reason this place is so cheap. Everything is filthy, outdated is an understatement, and, most of all, other than the maid the staff is so ungodly rude for absolutely no reason, it was mind blowing. My husband called the front desk for a couple extra hand towels and not only did the owner flat out refuse to give them to us, he tried to tell us we had to check out 2 hours before checkout, and then proceeded to scream, “IT’S NOT THE END OF THE WORLD!” when my husband politely asked why he couldn’t spare 2 extra hand towels. Save yourself the time and money, this place is a disgusting joke of an establishment ran by even more disgusting people.

Great price, great value. Took a spontaneous weekend trip to the beach. We were on the 3rd floor, there’s an elevator for convenience. Beds are comfortable. The lighting is a bit dim and you cannot plug the tub to take a bath, but housekeeping made our bed each day and provided fresh towels. I would stay here again.

The sheets were not very clean. I asked for a set of clean sheets and was told “no” at first, then even that she didn’t believe me that the sheets were not clean. She ended up saying okay and replacing the sheets. My daughter and I walked barefoot in the room and ended up with black, dirty feet. It was disgusting! The place was along a high traffic area, so it was very noisy. I would not stay there again.

It was okay. It served its purpose. I had a place to stay for the night. For a hotel called Ocean view, there was no ocean view. Just a view of the vacation rentals across the street. Unfortunately, the bed was so hard, and the pillows were more like throw pillows, so it was the most uncomfortable sleep I've ever had in a hotel. I tried to warm some food up in the microwave and something didn't fit right, because the glass plate inside kept hitting the door of the microwave. I'm not sure if it was a little turning mechanism or the glass plate but it didn't fit correctly so I stopped using it so I wouldn't break anything. That's also the first hotel I stayed in that did not have the little extra added security towards the top of the door so that if someone tried to come in, the door would only open an inch, so didn't sleep well for that reason as well because the door was not secure. It served it's purpose, but I doubt I'll stay there again

The motel is right on PCH across the street from Sunset Beach, so it's in a great location. However, being right next to PCH, it is very noisy, and you will hear traffic all night long. Very simple accomodations.

Room was super clean ! Staff was friendly and great. The room could have used some new paint. New shower curtains. Very busy street so throughout the night you always hear cars speeding by keeping you awake. Walls are thin so you could hear everything. But overall good stay due to us using it just to sleep.

We really enjoyed our stay at OceanView Motel. Not only was it in a convenient location, it was clean, had a good price and Rosa is very hospitable. She made sure that we always had clean towels daily, and enough pillows for comfort. We will be back! Great price and great service!

I'm really disappointed in our experience with this hotel and unfortunately Expedia let me down as well. TLDR: The property manager denied my dad check-in because she misunderstood the situation (he did have a cc with his name on it and cash for the $100 incidentals charge at the property, but when clarifying the specific amount he would be charged, she misunderstood and thought he only had an AmEx card - which they don't accept) and ultimately she turned him away. The kicker: He went back the next morning and explained himself again and she finally allowed him to check in, but she would not grant a refund for the night that she denied him check-in nor admit that she made a mistake. I'm disheartened by this because there was no accountability taken for the misunderstanding and no remedy to make it right on either end. While I'm glad it wasn't a total loss for the 2/3 days booked, it was still extremely frustrating. I've used Expedia quite a lot over the past couple of years, but after all of that, I won't be returning. :( What's worse, is my dad could hear the property manager arguing with other guests as well. Save your money and book somewhere else!

Had a pleasant stay at ocean view, room was clean and had maid service everyday. Will return. Staff was friendly. Note: its next to pacific coast Hwy. So traffic is a bit noisy so be aware. My room actually had an ocean view 😊

We arrived an hour before check in and were not able to check in even though our room was ready. Hotel is called Oceanview, but does not have a view of the ocean. Houses block the view. Rooms are not cleaned daily. Towels are exchanged only upon request. We had to drive across the street to the beach as it was too far for us to carry our chairs, beach umbrella, beach bag and chest.

The motel is right on PCH across the street from Sunset Beach, so it's in a great location. However, being right next to PCH, it is very noisy, and you will hear traffic all night long. Very simple accomodations.

the floors were not clean. But we liked the onsite manager Rosie, she was very helpful. the location was very convenient to access the Sunset and Huntington Beach areas.

When I got to the facility around 1 PM I went to the office and there was no one to be found. There was no bell no buzzer to call anybody. I waited in there for like 15 minutes and then I finally decided to call the Motel to see if I could get someone. then when somebody finally came, I went through the process of checking in and they said check-in wasn’t until 4 o’clock, but if I wanted to check in now, it would cost me another $50 for early check-in. The Motel was not busy this morning when I got up. I think there was maybe five cars in the parking lot. The outside is kinda rundown looking the sign advertising. The Motel is faded and becoming dilapidated and the ice machine does not work. But the room was decent

This place said it had a partial ocean view. You have view of PCH and a slice of ocean in between the houses across the street. No outdoor area to enjoy the California weather. 2 towels. The staff come in your room and turn off the a/c during the day.

The hotel was almost perfect for my needs but still deserves 5 stars due to beach location, cleanliness and awesome shower. My biggest gripe was the very poor WiFi. Next was the ice machine was out of order during a particularly hot week. And finally, the AC was very loud and didn't stay on continuously. Otherwise, great!
