Inn Of Long Beach

We booked the hotel because it had a pool and jacuzzi. The pool was green and the jacuzzi was broken. Lots of people on drugs screaming in the neighborhood.

It is not in the best location. Though the free Wi-Fi and free parking was a plus.

Every door had evidence of being broken into. The curtain did not completely cover the window and part of the room could be looked right in to. The shower was room temperature water and the property was not secured and people were coming door to door selling things

The stay was great. i had no problems. Location was perfect for convention center. Neighborhood seemed safe enough for walking The Vons store across the street was AWESOME. The restaurant across the street was a bit loud but did not bother me. Family members would not have liked this, though, had it been a vacation stay. The only facility problem was a very week floor in the center of the room near the desk. Nice tile floor was place on top of what seemed to be rotting boards. Floor board below should probably be replaced. Room also had a smell consistent with prior smoking. However I could open a secure balcony door and get fresh air. Would have been have had a secondary chain or stop on the outside opening door for security, too. Great price compared to the other hotels nearby. Bring your own soaps and coffee mugs.

You get what you pay for. I would only guess the people I saw lurking around the property were tenants (not guests) at the motel. I was approached twice by a strange man by the pool, and when I sent my boyfriend to check the pool area once he was gone, he noticed the front gate was broken (so safety concerns). Walls need to be painted, lamp shades need to be replaced, floors needed to be mopped, the pool looked like it needed to be cleaned then and chlorine. Also it looked like the hot tub has been out of commission for several months now. I would look for something better if possible, especially if you have kids. I wouldn't bring them here. The lady at the front desk was super nice and helpful during the check in process.

The rooms are basic but clean and neat. Older hotel that has been updated. Great restaurants and a Vons grocery all within a block or two. Convention center within a 5-10 minute walk. We stay here to cruise out of Long Beach on Carnival. Port is a short Uber ride and if you spend one night you can park free for a seven day cruise.

If you just need a place to sleep and not really be in the hotel then this hotel will do. Condition of hotel is bad but location and price is the best around. Ac is cold, shower works well bed is fine but floors, walls, holes in doors and ceiling is not good

Came at 7 no one was in the office. after several attempts of phone calls and door bell we went to dinner and show. After show check in was not too bad. Outside all around smelled like urine, gates to keep out non guests (large amount of homeless) was broke. corridor dirty and floor was deteriorated to the point of almost failure, pool closed and green, inside dirty, towels used and dirty, no smoke detector, entry door did not open/close/ lock properly, graffiti on lamp shades with some type of stain, light bulbs missing, beds were hard and smelled, urine in toilet, etc. Air conditioner worked great as it was set to 62 when we came in.

Cheap and convenient location. Hot tub wasn’t working and AC didn’t work very well. Also they knocked on our door at 9am to ask if we’re staying but check out is 11. I don’t like being woken up when I paid for a room.

Stay was great. Pool was a bit questionable....green and cloudy, we did not chance it

There bed bugs and cockroaches infested in the property

Didn’t even want to lay down on the bed! It was very uncomfortable to even be there. The fire detector in my room had plastic over it and the whole room smelled really bad. I found a cockroach in the bathroom and there was vomit down the drain of the sink. Truely a terrible experience.

It was so dirty

The rooms were disgusting. We booked several rooms and each one had roaches and were filthy. The sink was clogged and bugs came out of the tap when we turned on the tub water. We could not stay there and will be requesting a refund.

The property was what I had expected for the price, except for the bed bugs! Luckily the management handled appropriately and refunded our room. There was an exorbitant amount of hot glue for some reason.

The property should be taken over by a different management/investment group. Good location but the property is wide open for anyone to walk in from the outside which has plenty of homeless, criminals and other up to no good individuals. Upon checking in I heard a girl in the lobby talking to the management because someone has broken into her room and stole her money and belongings. This didn’t seem like a shocker to the employees. Property itself was in a horrible absolutely unsanitary state to be renting rooms out. I’m shocked and appalled that it’s up and running. The ceiling in the bathroom was rotted out and was falling down. The cleanliness of the bathroom was not existent. Honestly this property should be visited by the county health department. We had what appears to be an old blood stain on the lamp shade that wasn’t cleaned rather just smeared, along with writings with a pencil where one said RIP. Wall had streaks of dirt down the walls and patched up holes in the wall that were never painted over. We kindly asked for a refund and upon stating in what state was the room we were given the full refund. The manager was very well aware of the condition of the property. Therefore, he was kind enough not to argue with us.

The rooms are filthy, smell like they have 10 plus years of smoke in the non smoking rooms, the rooms are destroyed with paint patches, drawings in the walls, years of scuff marks and the hardest, oldest mattress I’ve ever seen. The shower had a hole in the ceiling from water damage and that was the better of the rooms I switched out of.

There are a lot of places to eat nearby and a VONS right across the street for groceries. You're less than a mile from the beach. The room was clean and the bed was comfy with three different types of pillows based on what you like (soft or firm). There is a fridge and a microwave. There are some updates that need to be made to the room and exterior. It's not the quietest area so take that into account.

Hotel is threadbare but clean and close to the beach.

The hotel room was inexpensive and conveniently located near the Long Beach convention center. The rooms were clean but this a smoking hotel. The rooms smelled like cigarette smoke and pot. The staff was nice enough to spray the room with fragrant spray but it did not last long. The bed was too soft and caused a sore back. The night club across the street was loud so try not to get a room facing it. Overall the stay was okay for a 1 - 2 star hotel.

My room had very appealing color scheme. And I enjoyed the terrace overlooking the pool and beyond the Downtown Long Beach skyline.

The staff was great. Shopping across the street and many restaurants near (within 10 minutes of walking). Other guests staying were very loud and yelling. There were cockroaches but no bed bugs and my TV didn't work. On our walk to dinner a homeless man was urinating in the street and no one seemed care. There was human feces on the streets, but apparently this is normal behavior in southern California.

Good location but we didn't know there was a rooftop patio bar across the street. It wasn't quiet and I guess a lot of party people were staying at this Inn as well. Someone knocked on our door calling for someone insistently. I did not get a good night's rest. I couldn't close the bathroom window to make it quieter.

Look, I stayed five nights attending a convention, which meant I needed a place to crash at night and within walking distance of the convention center. This met my needs at a very reasonable price. The place is old and a bit run down. The room was cleaned daily. It’s a block or two away from redeveloped areadscloser to the waterfront. There are a good number of folks living on the streets but none were panhandling or aggressive. I wouldn’t make reservations there for my wife, but certainly would for me.

The only good things about this place was the location which is about a 10-15 minute walk from downtown Long Beach where there are several restaurants and music/festival venues. But the state of the hotel is atrocious. Cockroaches (saw one in my room scurry out from under the bed), homeless hanging out in alleyways right against the hotel, and feces belonging to who knows what right on the property. Bed was very uncomfortable and the “AC just blows slightly below my room temp”. Ended up staying here because I waited too late to book and that’s on me, but this place was gross. Save yourself the regret and book early + spend more, and don’t say I didn’t warn you

Paid for the evening here and they did not allow me to check in. The person at the desk was completely rude and dismissive just walked away yelling and didn't care to spend their time to speak to me. I had to go elsewhere and was unable to receive a refund from them.

Great affordable place to stay. No frills, but it’s clean, and the staff are lovely.

Inn Of Long Beach has a 9:30 wake-up call policy. So if you worked until 4 in the morning and check-out is at 11:00, you will be awakened at 9:30 on purpose. They will start with a phone call and it won't end until 11:03. I do not know how the employees can work for this business when this is their policy. Housekeeping, however, was very friendly and did a great job. They were even concerned about one of my windows not having a screen, not that it was fixed. There are other good options in Long Beach. Travelodge has a little pool also, and free parking. Inn At 50 Long Beach also looks very nice and isn't too expensive. Hopefully someone can learn from our hard lesson.

Flew in for a weekend trip where I would limited time in the room except to sleep and shower. Check in was fine and guy st the counter had a decent if not inappropriate conversation but friendly nonetheless. Everything was fine until the morning of checkout when I got a call to the room phone from the front desk at 9am (unsolicited/non-requested phone call waking me up asking if I was going to check out or stay/pay for another day. I told them I know check out is at 11am and would be checking out before then. Thirty minutes later there are knocks on the door and the housekeeper enters the room when the do not disturb sign is on the outside door handle. I had to grab a sheet as I was not clothed at the time and run to the door not to let her in. She asked if I was checking out and I told her I know check out is at 11am and the front desk just called. Completely inappropriate for the front desk to call and the housekeeper to barge in the room with the do not disturb sign. I clearly know check out is at 11am. Even as I checked out the lady at the front desk said thank goodness you checked out before 11am otherwise I wojdlbaube to k common your door. I repelled you all already called and entered my room anyways so it didn’t matter. Please respect guests time and privacy as we are aware of the check out time. Inappropriate for the calls and the barging in of the room invading my privacy. Do better next time.

David I think his name was at the front desk is very nice and welcoming. He loves what he do and that's important, very friendly and recommended places to go to.

There are a lot of places to eat nearby and a VONS right across the street for groceries. You're less than a mile from the beach. The room was clean and the bed was comfy with three different types of pillows based on what you like (soft or firm). There is a fridge and a microwave. There are some updates that need to be made to the room and exterior. It's not the quietest area so take that into account.

Location is great, close to shopping, dinning, beach... Only downside property needs little maintenance. But I would definitely would stay there again.

Convince location

Place is a dump, but location is great and brand new Vons is across street. Relatively safe, but homeless and transients hang around sometimes. Overpriced for what you get.

The location was excellent, two blocks from the beach. The room was clean. It was close to restaurants and a grocery store across the street.
