This is the best hotel I’ve ever stayed at, and I’ve stayed at many! The service is superb! Views are amazing! The gym across the street had views too. The gym was very clean. The restaurant had great food and service! My hats off to the chef! MBI is in a great location. Room was amazing! Very comfortable. Excellent bed and pull out queen sofa bed. 2 TV’s! I can’t wait to come back!!

Rooms are amazing! We were upgraded to an ocean view room. Check in very easy. Valet excellent. Only criticism would be slow service at restaurant. We only had drinks, but took a long time to get. Would definitely stay here again!

Malibu Beach Inn Extremely Disappointing for the Price For the premium rates that Malibu Beach Inn charges, attention to detail should be a top priority — but unfortunately, that was not my experience. When I checked into my room, there was no soap in the bathroom. I asked the staff to bring some, and reported a slow draining / clogged shower stall, then left for dinner assuming it would be taken care of. Not only was it missing that night, but the next day I discovered they still hadn’t refilled the body wash container either. I ended up having to shower with shampoo, which is unacceptable at any hotel, let alone one at this price point. The shower stall was also clogged, causing extremely slow drainage, so I was forced to stand in 2 to 3 inches of water every time I showered. Another basic issue that should never occur at a hotel of this caliber. On top of that, the room was not clean, and while the staff is very good at saying the right things, there was zero follow-through. They overpromise and consistently underperform. For the cost of a stay here, you should expect far better service and basic attention to detail. Do not stay at this hotel it is absolutely not worth the price. Beware of your safety also. On more than one night I looked out the window and there was a weird stranger on the beach steps away from the hotel who looked dangerous.

Everything was perfect! Staff, cleanliness, quick service in all aspects. The hotel location is absolutely amazing! Fell asleep each night while listening to the waves of the ocean right outside my room. I have stayed here before and will always stay with them while in Malibu.

Only the second time we stayed at this property, but absolutely love it. Such a unique experience in a place like Malibu. We’re able to walk down and have dinner at Nobu. Come back and enjoy a nice night our room with the patio overlooking the ocean. Great staff and clean.

It’s peaceful, private, and the rooms are spacious, spotless, and incredibly comfortable—every little convenience has already been thought of. But what truly sets this place apart is the staff. Every single person I interacted with—from the valet, to the front desk, to housekeeping and room service—was the definition of top-tier hospitality. Friendly, professional, and completely focused on making your experience amazing. I’ve never encountered a team this consistently excellent anywhere in the world. The only real letdown was the food—it was really overpriced and unfortunately pretty underwhelming, especially compared to how flawless everything else was. Still, that wouldn’t stop me from coming back. You should definitely visit this place. It’s something special.

Rooms are amazing! We were upgraded to an ocean view room. Check in very easy. Valet excellent. Only criticism would be slow service at restaurant. We only had drinks, but took a long time to get. Would definitely stay here again!

Everything was perfect! Staff, cleanliness, quick service in all aspects. The hotel location is absolutely amazing! Fell asleep each night while listening to the waves of the ocean right outside my room. I have stayed here before and will always stay with them while in Malibu.

Only the second time we stayed at this property, but absolutely love it. Such a unique experience in a place like Malibu. We’re able to walk down and have dinner at Nobu. Come back and enjoy a nice night our room with the patio overlooking the ocean. Great staff and clean.

This is the best hotel I’ve ever stayed at, and I’ve stayed at many! The service is superb! Views are amazing! The gym across the street had views too. The gym was very clean. The restaurant had great food and service! My hats off to the chef! MBI is in a great location. Room was amazing! Very comfortable. Excellent bed and pull out queen sofa bed. 2 TV’s! I can’t wait to come back!!

Great service with staff. Location is unbeatable and the room had thoughtful touches and amenities. We were on a road trip after our stay and waters were placed in our cup holder. We would 100% stay again. Fantastic property and location.

Malibu Beach Inn is a very nice property. Rooms are well appointed and the views are fantastic. The restaurant food was very good. Some of the pictures online are outdated. The property no longer has a bar with stools. There is service bar and they have a few tables inside to sit at. There is no actual beach club - depending on the tide they have a few beach loungers set up. The beach area is very rocky. The spa is a separate facility located in a building across the street. I would definitely stay at the property again, but this time I would be aware of the amenities the property actually offers.
