One of the best properties we have stayed at. Spacious rooms, loved the shuttle service, beach is walkable, pool fantastic. Great coffee in the main hotel spot for purchase we loved it!!

It was a great weekend and staff were responsive. A couple of things were strange- the phones in the rooms didn’t work- they sent someone to fix them, but they didn’t work after that attempt as well. The unit had a “fishy” smell- they came and used a freshener but smell returned. Bbq area nice- kids play area and pools nice. Staff amazing

The pools are amazing and open till 11pm, no where else can you find that… also if you have children who are 6-14 then there are so many activities and fun stuff to do. The place itself is beautiful…, and I love the big soaking tub in my room. Love the lay out of the place and free parking!!!!

This resort was perfect for our family. The large suite had plenty of space for us. We enjoyed the convenience of a kitchen, in unit washer and dryer, and balcony. The on site parking was great. The clubhouse planned activities and the La Vista bar and grill, were also great perks. We will definitely return!

Amazing Resort. We enjoyed the numerous firepits and outdoor grilling options. The pools were perfectly kept and so inviting. Also - the location of this resort is phenomenal. Just a few minutes from Laguna Beach and Newport Beach as well as hiking and biking trails at Crystal Cove State Park. Will definitely return.

Beautiful property. Spacious suite with fully loaded kitchen. Loved the multiple pools, live music and events. Excellent customer service from staff. When I was walking the property, I had multiple team members stopping in their golf carts to check if I wanted a ride.

We have been coming here for many years and it is so run down and the service is very poor. Our room was dirty and dated and in an awful location facing the main highway and the utility area of the hotel! We were very disappointed and doubt we will come back.

Front desk was uninformed about cost on arrival. Hotel made unauthorized charges to credit card and was unsure how to reverse charges. Had to deny charges with card company on return although front desk Manager had promised reversal. Gift shop overpriced. Room was dated and carpets were very very filthy. Cleaning service did not vacuum or clean surfaces once during entire 8 day stay despite complaint to front desk. Extra towels and blankets reeked of mold and dust. Saw that these are kept in garage. Grounds are wonderfully kept but properly needs updating in interior. Witnessed many guests complaining that room given was not what was requested. No on site on service and on site restaurant is outside by pool area with only pool food and no shelter. Employees park in guest parking garage. Location is wonderful.

The minute we exited the elevator, there was an intense smell of moth balls, sour milk and manure. It was in the room also and lasted all night. No one was answering the front desk to ask for a change. We were going to stay a second night but went somewhere else. Otherwise, this was a great place in a good location.

When booking this hotel, it was not made clear that the property is part of a timeshare and that ocean-view rooms are only available for timeshare reservations. While the Newport Beach location is beautiful, the accommodations were disappointing. Our room felt outdated, the sofa in the living room was stained, and the towels in both bathrooms were worn and had a grey tint. The hotel seemed to charge extra for everything—pool towels left behind came with a fee, daily room service was an additional cost, and the coffee at the marketplace was undrinkable. Given the location and the price point, I had high expectations that unfortunately were not met. Overall, the experience was underwhelming, and I would not stay here again.

When booking through 3rd party apps - you will get stuck in front building by street / traffic with no view or in building on bottom floor with view of access road / fence (garden View) We have stayed here many times and always the same if booked through Bonvoy - great rooms and locations - through Hotels.com same building offering every time. Always full capacity but quantity of open parking spaces in front of good building suggest otherwise.

Facilities were noisy throughout the weekend. Oven fan was broken rendering the oven inoperable. Facility was unable to repair and offered little compensation, indicating that because the stay was done 3rd party they couldn’t do much.

Our service at check in was horrific. Clearly this hotel has not sent the memo to their check in attendants. Also Marylou was horrible when requesting a late check out. Instead calling the room back she text her response. The hotel was beautiful but the service was extremely questionable.

I rented two apartments to accommodate my family. I even had an interest in buying a timeshare system. I scheduled a presentation, but it was canceled twice without explanation. I reached out to the staff, they promised to get back to me, but no one contacted me. I found it disappointing for this reason.

Beautiful resort. Second stay. The check-in process can be quite a long time during busy times. They should have a second desk for questions or extra keys. Rooms hav been updated except bathroom areas are old and need a refresh. Clean, quiet and great amenities.

I was really impressed by the check in. I travel often and have been to many hotels but I have to say that Edgar was by far the most friendly and entertaining service agent that I've ever encountered. He was professional, curteous and turned what is usually a boring necessity into a pleasant experience.

Terrible customer service, bcz they said I booked through a third party they were not helpful or accommodating at all, there people about my room, running around s night super noise, didn’t get any sleep and the hotel did nothing about it, they couldn’t allowed late check out either, everything we asked for they were not able to accommodate and they were pretty rude about it.

The accommodating. Even though I got in at 2:30am and did not spend a lot of time at this resort like I would have. I was well treated and in no way felt neglected. I sat in traffic for over 3 hours and 45 minutes and only went 10 miles, ruined my plans for the night. But, Marriott and the staff made me feel welcomed. My daughter is having surgery for a tumor and I wanted to show her the resort of which she got to see. I’m going to San Diego to and I’ll make sure to come back. Take care.

When booking through 3rd party apps - you will get stuck in front building by street / traffic with no view or in building on bottom floor with view of access road / fence (garden View) We have stayed here many times and always the same if booked through Bonvoy - great rooms and locations - through Hotels.com same building offering every time. Always full capacity but quantity of open parking spaces in front of good building suggest otherwise.

We loved this property so much. Gorgeous location and the room was spacious and neat. The only complaints were the villas are a bit confusing to get to ans the website says a 10 minute walk to the beach. More like a 30-40 minite walk. Just an fyi.

Property was great. Noise from the street at night made it difficult to sleep. There were loud motorcycles and hotrods racing up the hill all night. We were in room 2924.

Amazing Resort. We enjoyed the numerous firepits and outdoor grilling options. The pools were perfectly kept and so inviting. Also - the location of this resort is phenomenal. Just a few minutes from Laguna Beach and Newport Beach as well as hiking and biking trails at Crystal Cove State Park. Will definitely return.

One of the best properties we have stayed at. Spacious rooms, loved the shuttle service, beach is walkable, pool fantastic. Great coffee in the main hotel spot for purchase we loved it!!

Front desk was uninformed about cost on arrival. Hotel made unauthorized charges to credit card and was unsure how to reverse charges. Had to deny charges with card company on return although front desk Manager had promised reversal. Gift shop overpriced. Room was dated and carpets were very very filthy. Cleaning service did not vacuum or clean surfaces once during entire 8 day stay despite complaint to front desk. Extra towels and blankets reeked of mold and dust. Saw that these are kept in garage. Grounds are wonderfully kept but properly needs updating in interior. Witnessed many guests complaining that room given was not what was requested. No on site on service and on site restaurant is outside by pool area with only pool food and no shelter. Employees park in guest parking garage. Location is wonderful.

This resort was perfect for our family. The large suite had plenty of space for us. We enjoyed the convenience of a kitchen, in unit washer and dryer, and balcony. The on site parking was great. The clubhouse planned activities and the La Vista bar and grill, were also great perks. We will definitely return!

I was really disappointed with my stay at the Marriott. While the staff was polite, the room was not what I expected. The view I got overlooked a noisy container area and parking lot, so it was really loud. Considering the price, I expected a much better experience. I hope they address these issues in the future.

We dealt with persistent noise from the room above us for several nights, requiring us to call security twice. Unfortunately, management’s response was unprofessional and lacked any sense of service quality. Given the high price point of this hotel, the experience was simply not worth the money. I would recommend staying elsewhere.

The place was lovely but the service could have been better. We had a clogged toilet for our entire trip. I asked for it to be fixed and never happened. Also, asked for help with our bags when leaving and that never happened either.
