This is the second time I've encountered a hotel that says they have EV charging but it ends up they've outsourced it to an EV charging network. This is a pain cause now you have to download an app, create an account, enter payment info, then figure out their quirks on getting it to actually charge. Just install level 2 chargers and be done with it. Otherwise the hotel is fine. Pool was small and too warm, but it's summer in Sacramento so that's to be expected.

Nice place, nice location. Very comfortable bed. But a couple of things. The electric car charges were all broken. Hard cold floors for our dog to sleep on. And the cork screw I borrowed should be replaced.

It was a nice staying , room was clean , staff very nice , the only thing we didn't like was the hot tub wasn't working and we saw a lot of cocaroches around the pool entrance area.

No complaints with the hotel. I'm not sure why they charged an additional $10 for parking and the pool gate needs to be repaired. At first I thought it was an odd area for a hotel, but later realized it was a great location.

Comfortable stay and the staff was helpful and polite. The elevator seems really old and operates super slowly. You can tell the building might be an older one, but it's at least kept nicely and the rooms were clean.

The workout room was very small and was locked until 6:00 am. It is unmanned, so I don't know why this is necessary. Also, the internet did not work the whole time I was there - 3 days. The room was nice, the staff was friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was good, though.

Property was under renovations which were unaware of until we arrived. Our room was not ready at check-in time - it wasn’t ready until over an hour later. The pool was not very clean and our room did not have a hair dryer. The hotel was fine for our visit but we won’t be going back.

I don't know if the hotel was having a bad weekend or if its always like this but our stay was disappointing. The hotel wifi wasnt working so I went down to ask about it, the hotel staff let me know the wifi was out for the building which is not the biggest deal. The women working the front desk gave me a paper with phone numbers to call to troubleshoot the wifi (why am i troubleshooting the hotels wifi? lol). The elevator needs repair asap. It is super slow and the door takes forever to close. Our room smelled like it wasnt cleaned thoroughly. The bathroom hadnt been swept correctly and towels didnt smell clean. We stayed 3 nights and they only came and cleaned the room once. I noticed half the 2nd floor rooms hadnt been cleaned either. I know things happen but the staff made zero attempts to notfiy people of what was going on. We used to pool area for a bit but the pool and sauna were dirty. We just ended up lounging in the sun. Overall im disappointed with how expensive our stay was vs what we actually experienced.

The people at the front desk were very nice. My room definitely could have been cleaner and it seemed run down. The bathroom constantly smelled like sewage. I stayed for a week and my room was only serviced once (I had my do not disturb sign up two of the days). The breakfast was good.

We stayed 3 nights and saw a small baby cockroach dead on the bathroom floor when we first came in. The AC unit smelled horrible and musty to the point that we asked to switch rooms. The next one smelled better in the room but the bathroom smelled like something died in there. Probably in the wall I’m guessing. And then my son went to use his labtop and a giant cockroach went running over his keyboard. We had only had the labtop out for about an hour.. I couldn’t sleep at all. Cockroaches are everywhere outside at night. They need better pest control for the outter perimeter to limit them getting into the hotel. And the pool is gross with black mold. Staff is friendly. I wouldn’t stay here again due to the cockroach issue. I had insurance for this stay and was DENIED any money back, they don’t cover insect issues what a joke! $120 a night for cockroach infested rooms and hair in the bed upon arrival!

Overall, everything was good. There was a definite need for some deep cleaning in the lobby, but that happens. Breakfast left a lot to be desired - the eggs were a weird consistency and tasted more like a hard boiled egg. Coffee wasn't good, but i appreciate the non-dairy milk option.

Plenty of parking & super friendly staff. The room was pretty spacious & the beds were comfy. It was also within 10 minutes of Cal Expo which was really nice. The only recommendation I’d have for someone staying here is to bring a noise machine for sleeping. The walls are pretty thin so you can hear the neighbors & anyone in the hallways.

New remodel but the remodel is bad. Weird white lighting, hard floors means noise from all over. Bed was comfortable and staff was nice. Would likely go to another location.

The hotel was fine in all aspects. The only downside was its proximity to railroad tracks. Each night, trains went by several times and used their air horns as they passed through the area where the hotel was located.

Overall an okay place to crash. Felt safe. Nothing special or above average. The ice machine was broken and made a loud buzzing sound that made it difficult to sleep but I’m assuming that was a one off. Staff was polite. Little pricey for nothing above average.

Standard, but great. Excellent and friendly staff. Convenient location and parking, location felt much safer than other hotels. Room was clean, bed was comfortable! No complaints. Would stay here again.

Desk clerk at 8 pm told us he’d put together a little togo breakfast for us to pickup on our way out the door but the overnight guy was clueless. Nice idea but don’t offer and then flake out on it.

When I checked out there was a lady at the front desk; i believe her name was Liz. She was super unprofessional. First she was on the phone with another guest and she was super loud on the phone and sounded aggressive. Then another guest went up to the front desk and again she was loud and a bit rude to that guest. when it was my turn to go up to the front desk, she said she was sorry but the guests were just making her morning job difficult. I don't think it was professional of her to discuss what had happened with the other guests with me. Other than that the property is great!!

Staff was jovial, courteous and friendly. The desk and maintenance team members went out of their way providing me with a tiny screwdriver to make a repair to photographic equipment. Kindness beyond measure.

The lady at the front desk was extremely rude. I have had bronchitis and just drove 12 hours. I am very tired and not thinking well plus have a lot of stress lately. I explained I had my service dog with me and she responded, "what service does your dog provide"? In WA no one may ask why you have a service animal or to provide proof. I was a little surprised she asked and I responded (not in a rude tone but because I wasn't understanding why she asked) "I don't think you are allowed to ask me that". She said, "yes I am. If you have a service dog you have to tell me the service it performs". I said in WA you are not permitted to ask. She said, you are not in WA-you are in the state of CA and I am allowed to ask and if you had a service dog you would be able to answer the question. Again, I was still not thinking straight and said, "my anxiety"...She smirked and whipped out a pet agreement. I stood and looked at the paper for a few minutes not really understanding what was going on and signed it. Then she just took it and said here are your two key cards. She was so rude in her manners, words and actions. Employee's like this make customers want to NEVER return. I know I have lots of other places to choose from. I happen to be a disabled individual and carry epi pens and my dog helps not only as a service animal for this, he is ALSO an assistant animal for my anxiety. I do not do well in situations where people are combative and treat me like I am a criminal. She is RUDE!!!

I had such a welcome feeling while staying at this Fairfield Inn. I have stayed at 3others in different states but this was the nicest by far! The staff was so warm, friendly and helpful-everyone at the front desk, in the breakfast room and the room cleaning staff as well. It really was homey in the nicest sense of the word. And, so lovely and quiet. I will definitely return at the next opportunity.

It was perfect until the check-in host in advance request initiated by myself, approved a late check out and advise not to worry due to attendance of my family and I visiting for my daughter's graduation at Golden 1 center for her Masters. After calling being me bring belligerent and very rude and advised of a $50 dollar late check out fee. Then lied and stated it wouldn't be charged and done so anyway as its not even listed on my bill.

The room and bed were large and comfortable. There was an extensive breakfast every morning and coffee always available. They have a small restaurant that serves lunch practically until dinner time. It's a very close location to the golden one center where most sports and concerts are held. Two of the wastebaskets in the room did not have bags in them. Bummer for the housekeepers. The cold water never got cold. The temperature fluctuated in the room and had to be reset at the thermostat several times. All and all I would stay here again.

Just passing thru town and needed a place to stay close to the Cal Expo. This place had good reviews and we gave it a shot. Free continental breakfast, friendly staff, working Wi-Fi were the pluses. Charging a guest to park is a bit much. The one big knock I have on this place is out of their control. Its pretty close to the train tracks. The trains come in during the wee hours of the morning and blast their horns over and over. It was hard to get a good night sleep with the trains.

Very close to Cal Expo State Fair but you have to use Lyft or Uber to get back and forth. Close to freeway on and off ramps. The trains were a little noisy at different times of the day. Nice clean room and service. Oh yes, the AC in my room was fantastic. I need cool temperature cause I melt like chocolate. Thanks for everything.😁

Pros: gentleman at check in was super nice! I glance at his name thinking I’ll remember to include when I write this review but totally forgot his name. His customer service was A+. Felt safe in the area. Hotel is remodeling so everything looks new. Room was clean. Pool was nice and heated. Good breakfast selections. Close to freeway and shopping centers (Arden mall) Can hop over to Marriott (sister hotel) next to them for Starbucks or bar. Cons: Parking fee - $10 per night, which isn’t too bad compare to other hotel pricings. Train comes by every so often throughout the day, so if you are staying longer than 1 night or staying in most of the time, it might be a bother or nuisance to you. Only one kitchen person work breakfast so be prepare for slow service. Currently doing remodeling, so it’s kinda dusty and the noise might bother some people. We personally wasn’t bother by it since it was only one first floor and we had a room on the 3rd. No restaurants near by walking distance.

We enjoyed our stay here. It was very close to the State Fair, our room was clean, the beds were comfortable, and the front desk agents were very friendly and helpful. The only reason I did not give this hotel 5 stars is due to the breakfast crew clearing out the breakfast before the time we were told. Upon check-in and their website it stated that breakfast ends at 9:30 but they started clearing it out at 8:55 and by 9:05 it was over, I couldn't even get any juice to drink due to the machine being turned off. My kids wanted to get some boiled eggs and fruit once they poured their cereal but they were taken away before they had a chance to. Our overall stay was nice, pleasant, and clean our only issue was that we were not able to enjoy the breakfast. I do recommend staying here if you are in the area but definitely come to breakfast early so that you can get some food.

Overall, everything was good. There was a definite need for some deep cleaning in the lobby, but that happens. Breakfast left a lot to be desired - the eggs were a weird consistency and tasted more like a hard boiled egg. Coffee wasn't good, but i appreciate the non-dairy milk option.

Overall a nice stay. The hot breakfast had a variety of items and everything was good. I did notice on the weekend there was only 1 staff person working. Most of the food items were depleted. She had a hard time keeping up with the amount of people. The bed was comfy but it was hard to regulate the temp. I had it set at 66 and at times the heat would turn on. Strange. It’s not a new hotel but it’s in great shape! It was an overnight trip so we didn’t use the pool or the gym but it was nice to know there were options. Felt safe and the staff were very friendly. It’s actually a pretty decent place. I’d give it 4 star at least, but there was one big issue. We booked one night for a weekend soccer tournament, then found out the free breakfast opened at 7am (another hotel I stayed at opened at 6). The game was at 8am and we needed to get there for warm up. So I thought fine I’d just quickly grab something at 7. But staff didn’t show up until 7:15am. The poor front desk guy had to improvise and figure out how to provide some breakfast before then. It was not professional.

Over our 3-night stay, Fairfield Inn: Had no elevator so we had to walk and carry all our luggage up & down a flight of stairs (the front desk removed our $10/night parking charge. Did you know you have to pay $10 for an absolutely huge parking lot?) Had no pool our first night; when invited to use the next door pool we got locked *in* for 20 minutes as there was no one at the front desk Does not have working Chromecast on the TV (my husband works in IT; he fussed for an hour and gave up) Has motion-controlled lights that turn off while you’re in the shower and Do. Not. come back on without getting out of the shower Has form over function: one desk chair, no table, no counters in the bathroom, no reasonable towel racks, and a very small (yet stylish) trash can Does have ants. ANTS. That swarm over the food containers you had to leave on the floor because the trash cans are too small Does have pesticides to spray in the room that gave us both headaches and a sleepless night A staff that’s not particularly urgent about the ants so they start to crawl up the hallway walls A staff that will push you out of the way to refill the waffle batter because you had the nerve to let them know that the container was empty And a staff that will promise you “I’ll be sure to pass it to our management” when asking for a room charge reduction as a result of the above and *nothing will happen* Other than the ANTS and the PESTICIDE the hotel was clean and the breakfast was good.

Unfortunately the elevator wasn't working so our room was changed to the first floor. It was done efficiently by the desk clerk so that it wasn't a problem. The substitute room was very nice and we enjoyed our stay
