they ran out of park. they don't have enough parking if you are going there for an event. then they tell you to find a parking spot in a garage that is 5 blocks away and you have to figure it out on your own. all while 5 parking attendants just stand there and look clueless.

Excellent location, great staff and great facilities condition. Only available parking was the valet which I then found out was too expensive at $65/day, that is a my only negative of this hotel, that was never mentioned at the counter and that made the overall cost not that attractive.

The hotel is nice and clean, however, when we arrived to check in at 4pm the room was not ready until an hour later. The staff did not give us an vouchers, as promised or a discount because of the room being unavailable an hour later. I watched the hotel manager go buy drinks for 2 other guests and failed to attend to anyone else in the lobby waiting for their room as well. Seemed he was too occupied trying to get a number from this female guest then to recognize other customers waiting a whole hour for their room. The parking at the hotel was also unorganized and we had to park our car at another parking structure and had to pay $96 even though we were told it was a $25 flat rate by the Hilton valet guy. I’m disappointed in the hotel because they were very unorganized and unprepared, but the hotel was only a 5 min walk from Petco park, which the concert was at.

PROS: beautiful property, 15 dollar voucher a day to spend, knowledgeable staff, streets are walkable, surrounded by plenty of fine dining options & convenience stores, pool was clean and cozy, housekeeping kept our rooms nice and stocked the entire stay CONS: very loud train nearby became frustrating in the morning when you’re trying to get some rest, many homeless folks around the area (some even exposing themselves), television was hard to figure out and super limited on channels, nightlife noises start once it gets dark so if you’re looking for peace and quiet I would stay elsewhere but I personally didn’t mind it

The food options were great. The bed and duvet cover could be more comfortable. The fabric on the duvet cover wasn't very soft and the bed was okay. The pillows were nice. When I took a bath, the stopper didn’t hold the water. Water was leaking out as I continued to fill the bath. Also, the tile to tub connection had some gaps that need to be filled with silicon to prevent water damage. Other than that, the look of the room and amenities spaces were beautiful.

I paid for a premium room and view, and did not receive it. I was charge $2,500, plus an additional $365.00 not sure why. In addition, my room was not clean properly. the shower curtains smelled liked mildew, the shower head was not cleaned, molded, and it was disgusting and I feel they staff gave me the worse room because I was of a non white color. My experience was horrible. I was afraid my values were going to get stolen, therefore, I did not have services in my room. I came in one day and the safe was unlocked, so imagine how I felt. There is no need to add photos because the staff knows room 914 is disgusting. In addition, my first night 8 teenagers next to me made noise until 3 am and not one staff member and/or security did anything. I will never stay at the property again, and I am Hiltons member, not will I used Expedia ever again. Thank you!

This is our "go too" hotel, close to Seaport Village and amazing restaurants. The hotel itself is still lovely and clean but the rooms are starting to look "tired" The carpet in our room looked pretty worn with multiple large stains and felt icky. For the high nightly price tag your guests need to not question the cleanliness of the rooms and feel that the pristine cleanliness is only reserved for the public areas. On a positive note, we were given an early check in.

The location to restaurants was good. Walking to Seaport Village was doable. Housekeeping missed servicing the room one day and the next day, I called them after 3pm. It was completed withing the hour.

The property is beautifully renovated and squeaky clean. The front desk staff were friendly, fast, and very helpful. I’ll be staying here for future visits to the Gaslamp district.

Not very welcoming.. No direction where to go floor/room. Was given a handycap room even though i didnt book that particular room. Dirty especially the bathroom found hair, gross! Not worth for what i paid for.

The staff was great. Everything else wasn’t great. The bed was super uncomfortable, parking was $65, a basic breakfast was $67, motion sensing lights in the room went on all night whenever either one of us moved in bed. It definitely was not worth what we spent.

This is a great location, across the street from the convention center (where my event was held) and right in the Gaslamp Quarter area with many restaurants nearby. My room was on the train/trolley side of the hotel - I was surprised that the noise was not bad. Except there was one night the train was running for about an hour between 8 pm - 9 pm parking, which was slightly annoying - nothing the hotel can avoid, but if that will be a deal breaker for you, request not to be on that side of the hotel. I'd still stay in the room I was in. The rest of the nights were just fine, and I liked the view from that side of the hotel. Breakfast is great in the Wild Hare! I used my $25 food credit on that. They have fresh OJ, which is so delicious, and they have great coffee. I was not a fan of the dinner options, but it's San Diego, so I'm usually out eating great Mexican food anyway.

I recently stayed at the Hilton and had a mixed experience. Upon arrival, there was no bellhop available to assist with my luggage. I had to locate a bellcart myself, wheel it out to my car, bring everything up to my room, and then return the cart—something I wouldn’t expect to do at a Hilton. The room itself was clean, well-kept, and nicely appointed, which I appreciated. However, the walls were incredibly thin, making it hard to relax with the constant noise from the hallway. On a positive note, the hotel restaurant was a highlight—the food was excellent. Unfortunately, the service didn’t match the quality of the meal, falling short in attentiveness and overall experience. Very friendly staff. We arrived prior to check-in and they were able to provide an early check-in. It was Easter weekend and the hotel was having a fun Easter egg hunt with eggs hidden around the hotel. We were there for a Padres game and it was the perfect location with an easy walk to and from the stadium.

Many small annoying details make this stay average. Staff not particularly happy their jobs and attitude conveyed that to guests. Would not opt for this Hilton in the future.

The hotel was great- clean- in walking distance to Petco Park, the Midway, and all of the Gaslamp restaurants and shops. The valet staff was quick and polite- and the process was so easy when we needed our car. The hotel staff were helpful and kind- and I got texts daily to check in on our stay. They even helped with restaurant recommendations! If I ever get to visit San Diego again- I will def stay here!

The hotel is nice and clean, however, when we arrived to check in at 4pm the room was not ready until an hour later. The staff did not give us an vouchers, as promised or a discount because of the room being unavailable an hour later. I watched the hotel manager go buy drinks for 2 other guests and failed to attend to anyone else in the lobby waiting for their room as well. Seemed he was too occupied trying to get a number from this female guest then to recognize other customers waiting a whole hour for their room. The parking at the hotel was also unorganized and we had to park our car at another parking structure and had to pay $96 even though we were told it was a $25 flat rate by the Hilton valet guy. I’m disappointed in the hotel because they were very unorganized and unprepared, but the hotel was only a 5 min walk from Petco park, which the concert was at.

I recently stayed at the Hilton and had a mixed experience. Upon arrival, there was no bellhop available to assist with my luggage. I had to locate a bellcart myself, wheel it out to my car, bring everything up to my room, and then return the cart—something I wouldn’t expect to do at a Hilton. I recently stayed at the Hilton San Diego Gaslamp. While the room and location were, respectively, excellent and good, I was truly annoyed by a simple receipt issue. I specifically requested the receipt to be emailed to me. I'm surprised that such a basic issue would require webpage messages (which I completely ignored), multiple phone calls (with long wait times), and lengthy emails. It is unacceptable for Hilton to be unable to handle such a basic billing issue, which I had already experienced at another Hilton property overseas. It seems Hilton has lowered its customer service standards.

The location was PERFECT. One street away from the hustle and bustle of Gaslamp Quarter, it was easy to "hop over" the Convention Center stairs to the boardwalk, parks, the symphony or head up 5th street to the MANY restaurant and bar options.

PROS: beautiful property, 15 dollar voucher a day to spend, knowledgeable staff, streets are walkable, surrounded by plenty of fine dining options & convenience stores, pool was clean and cozy, housekeeping kept our rooms nice and stocked the entire stay CONS: very loud train nearby became frustrating in the morning when you’re trying to get some rest, many homeless folks around the area (some even exposing themselves), television was hard to figure out and super limited on channels, nightlife noises start once it gets dark so if you’re looking for peace and quiet I would stay elsewhere but I personally didn’t mind it

This is a great location, across the street from the convention center (where my event was held) and right in the Gaslamp Quarter area with many restaurants nearby. My room was on the train/trolley side of the hotel - I was surprised that the noise was not bad. Except there was one night the train was running for about an hour between 8 pm - 9 pm parking, which was slightly annoying - nothing the hotel can avoid, but if that will be a deal breaker for you, request not to be on that side of the hotel. I'd still stay in the room I was in. The rest of the nights were just fine, and I liked the view from that side of the hotel. Breakfast is great in the Wild Hare! I used my $25 food credit on that. They have fresh OJ, which is so delicious, and they have great coffee. I was not a fan of the dinner options, but it's San Diego, so I'm usually out eating great Mexican food anyway.

We chose the Hilton Gaslamp due to its location near the baseball stadium and tons of dining options. The staff members will helpful and seemed to care about our experience. The morning breakfast was high in quality.

Great place. Downstairs bar was really cool. If parking was a little more affordable it’d be a perfect steal. Really, parking is expensive everywhere down there though. All in all great spot!

The food options were great. The bed and duvet cover could be more comfortable. The fabric on the duvet cover wasn't very soft and the bed was okay. The pillows were nice. When I took a bath, the stopper didn’t hold the water. Water was leaking out as I continued to fill the bath. Also, the tile to tub connection had some gaps that need to be filled with silicon to prevent water damage. Other than that, the look of the room and amenities spaces were beautiful.

Staff was nice. Some very helpful some not so much. Food was decent. We were told they didn’t have a kids menu only to find out they do. Parked on 6th street 2 blocks down for $13 instead of the $60 valet they offer. Water/ice machine room on the 3rd floor was a mess. Overall decent experience.

This was our first time back after the remodel, and the hotel looks really nice. Our room was clean, everything functioned well overall, the staff was great, and we loved the second-floor area. Getting in and out was easy, and having so many restaurants and amenities within walking distance made the location even better. The biggest issue was the AC. When maintenance came to check why the room wasn’t cooling properly, we noticed the filter was sitting on the floor instead of being installed, and the coils were covered in dust. They cleaned the unit and put the filter back in place, which we appreciated, especially around 11 PM. Unfortunately, we set the thermostat to 66 (the lowest setting) and still woke up to a 76-degree room. I know 66 is cold, but one of my favorite things about hotels is coming back after a long day to a nice cold room. The motion sensors also make that difficult because the room doesn’t stay at your set temperature while you’re away. One very minor issue: no Paramount+, so we couldn’t watch Lioness. Overall, we really enjoyed the remodel, location, cleanliness, and especially the staff. If the AC had worked properly, this honestly would have been a great stay.
