No ice available on premises. Sulfur smell seem to be coming from sink/ water. Lot of street noise. Bathroom door did I not close all the way.

The place is a remodeled older motel from the 50's It is very clean and nice. the rooms are extra small and the issues were a broken tv, the refrigerator was warm when we arrived and the room had no table or chair. The kitchen had no kitchen stuff, pots, pans or plates etc. There were a lot of extra charges that were not listed on the website for pets and they charged extra for house cleaning.

Parking is tight, but great location to fishing boats and some convenient restaurants. The room with the kitchen and queen size bed with sofa sleeper, would be great if it was fully stocked with dishes to cook since there is a stove top burner, but there are literally no dishes, no pots, no silverware nothing. So don't go here if you are expecting the kitchen to be stocked to cook.

Room was good, AC worked good, clean room and bathroom. Shampoo and body wash in shower extra soap. Only thing would be the extra $10 charge for a parking spot that’s not mentioned until u check in.

Overall a good stay. Needed to get to the airport early the next day so we looked for the cheapest place to stay the night. We had a parking spot, but parking was first come first serve. The room has a weird smell but it wasn't a deal breaker

Good location but tired property and bathroom door didn’t close. Very limited parking and small lot was full when we checked in so had to drive around to find street parking. Nice operator for checking in.

Unfortunitly our room may have been the worst on the site. Suite,1 Queen Bed with Sofa bed,Kitchenette (Rm 107). Stained sheets, dirty couch, counter with large gap for water to get under formica hidin possible mold. the bathrooom fan vent completely clogged with packed dust. Behind clogged fan grate was an abundance of mold. Baked on food on stove top, (Razor could remove), Smaller refrigerator that advertised in photos for room type, I understand it is an "Affordable" option for the Point Loma area, but some invesment needs to be mde back into the units or update the photos. The shower head and shower were good. We chose only to stay for 1 of our 3-night reservation. with Managers approval Hotels.com will refund the unused nights. At this point not resolution. They did reimberse the $10 parking fee for the one night we did stay. The gentleman at check-in desk was exceptionally pleasnt and a pleasure to work with.

I looked at several places in the area and this one fit our needs and budget. It seemed better than the average motel, I suppose. The room was clean and check-in was easy. While there were limited amenities (free Wi-Fi, cable TV), I did appreciate the mini fridge and microwave (for leftovers- plenty of restaurants nearby). We didn't require housekeeping, but we saw the housekeepers and front-desk person daily, so I'm sure that if we needed anything, all we had to do was ask. My only complaint is that it was pretty noisy. It's on a busy street and you can hear the traffic from inside the room. The A/C drowns out some of the noise though, so it didn't keep me awake at night.

Great little motel. Popped into San Diego to do some swimming just needed a place to stay and store my gear. Check-in was easy housekeeping on point giving new sheets and new towels. Each day room was very, very clean a modest little place to stay near the harbor.

Everything was great. The wifi password was confusing and the office hours were not convenient to resolve this. The parking lot was too small and had to park on the street. There was mildew under the bathroom sink. Otherwise it was clean, safe, quiet, perfect for my needs.

I would suggest that you save your time booking with this property. First I was not able to sleep due to the noisy air conditioning unit. Then the feeling of things crawling on me made imposible. I woke up to find a newly hatched cockroaches all over the dresser in the middle of the night! Avoid at all cost!!!

Super clean and updated old school motel. GREAT location with lots that is easy to walk to. Very nice staff. Fantastic value compared to the bigger chains that were nearby. Again- the location is so easy to walk to Shelter Island and all of those beautiful vistas. Spent 2 nights and never heard a peep from anything.

Heat didn't work properly. Always piping in freezing air, staff couldn't fix, so turned off. Led to lack of fan noise to drown out busy street noise. Hidden plugs not convenient for charging devices. Had to pull back bed to find plug for lamp which had not been plugged in. Huge headboard hit me in the head as a result, other plugs didn't hold the plugs or seem to work. NO PLACE to hang a single item of clothing.

Great rest break near to city centre & other attractions. Staff were friendly & helpful. Room was very spacious with large, comfortable bed & tv. The hotel had everything we needed. Bathroom could do with a little mend as one of the fixtures were loose but, apart from this we were all set. Parking was near to our door. Very good price for the night as well. Thanks

The pictures on the website look nice, but that is not the reality. It was really rundown, there was no closet or dresser or table. So I had to live out out of my suitcase with it sitting on the floor. The one nightstand was in really bad shape. The bathroom was falling apart. And the room smelled so heavy of cleaning chemicals that I had to put a washcloth over my nose to try to sleep. The staff was very friendly, but the room was not very nice.

It’s a little gem close to the airport and beach in one of the best neighborhoods in San Diego. Only one block from the harbor and the bay walk to shelter island. The room was spacious and comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I’ve stayed in a dozen hotels in this category and this one is my favorite!

Room was a basic room very clean just older and tv wires and cables hanging bathroom cabinets held together by silicone, no closet for hanging clothes because it was turned into fridge microwave coffee area. Mattresses really firm. Parking spots very limited and small for large vehicles. Did the job for the price but probably wouldnt stay here again.

The stay was ok. Kind of pricy for a mid hotel that doesn’t come with accommodations like other hotels priced at the same price. Old furniture. Main door has huge gaps at the bottom and lets a bunch of noise in and out, really sucked

I didnt have a chance to stay the night at the hotel and when the staff called me he was very rude and eventually hung up on me as i was explaining "I wont be abke to make it and i dont wish to cancel or ask for refund." Before i could even finish saying thank you and have a good night, mid sentence of my apologizing for any inconvenience he hung up on me.

The bed was comfortable and the roomeas nice. Great location for going fishing or exploring the area! I spent 2 nights so i wouldnt have to drive back once off of boat. The managerwas friendly and helpful with any questions.

I had great customer service from the housekeepers to Sam who knows the importance of and the meaning of “customer service”. His friendliness is 100% letting me know that he appreciated my stay, wished me well with my upcoming medical procedures. His communication skills showing the time he left & the time he would return neatly printed & large enough to see was 100% right on with the couple times dealing with me 3 times I decided that I was staying another day at the last minute just before 11:00 a.m. Sam had it done & was handing me back my updated door key card. I had great customer service from the housekeepers to Sam who knows the importance of and the meaning of “customer service”. His friendliness is 100% letting me know that he appreciated my stay, wished me well with my upcoming medical procedures. His communication skills showing the time he left & the time he would return neatly printed & large enough to see was 100% right on with the couple times dealing with me 3 times I decided that I was staying another day at the last minute just before 11:00 a.m. Sam had it done & was handing me back my updated door key card. Clean and Convenient. Parking is only $10 a day and literally outside your door. A full 2 star hotel. Basic toiletries, clean linens. The pillows were a little lumpy. The service was friendly. Glad we arrived before 10 pm- the office is closed from 10pm to 8am. Nearby grocery store, cafes, bars, and marina. Great vibe in Point Loma- we will definitely come back for the price and location!!

During checkin, I asked to use the restroom. Due to prostate surgery, the urgency was extreme. The manager could not find it in himself to allow me to use his bathroom (no bathroom in lobby). I told him about my condition and he was not going to budge. Unfortunately, I did not quite make it to the room. Perhaps he has had one too many bad experiences with allowing customers to use his bathroom. This is not my first stay here, but will be my last. A little consideration would have gone a long way. As for the room, the attempt to maximize the occupancy has minimized the amount of room to move around in the room. The water in the toilet kept turning on and off. We were only staying the one night and checking out early - so we just slept and left early the next morning. Perhaps the person checking us in would do better in another line of work.

Sam was an amazing host and was friendly and accommodating. I stayed the previous night with my friend and when she checked out, I had my own reservation to which Sam navigated easily and effusively going above and beyond and even gave me an early check-in. I will definitely be back to stay!

This is the place to stay at a great price! It’s centrally located for me in my favorite area of Point Loma. Sam was very nice with a great smile and did our check in fast and efficiently. I extended our stay from one overnight to two. I met two of the nicest housekeepers and let them know I appreciated them and their service. They didn’t need to clean the room because the room didn’t need cleaning and that our stay was extended one more overnight because of my fondness of Shelter Island and the beautiful Point Loma area. Hotel Point Loma gets my score of 100%!

We have stayed there twice so far and its been a pleasant experience both times. It does give motel vibes but we book it because its cheap and across the street from the port. Its also down the street from restaurants.

I looked at several places in the area and this one fit our needs and budget. It seemed better than the average motel, I suppose. The room was clean and check-in was easy. While there were limited amenities (free Wi-Fi, cable TV), I did appreciate the mini fridge and microwave (for leftovers- plenty of restaurants nearby). We didn't require housekeeping, but we saw the housekeepers and front-desk person daily, so I'm sure that if we needed anything, all we had to do was ask. My only complaint is that it was pretty noisy. It's on a busy street and you can hear the traffic from inside the room. The A/C drowns out some of the noise though, so it didn't keep me awake at night.

Checked in around 9 pm after a long day. Was looking forward to a shower and restful nights sleep. Door to the lobby was locked and you have to ring a doorbell for service. Attendant mentions they have a gas leak and there is no hot water. He says he will give me free parking which was $10 I was not even aware of. Felt like they should’ve given a bigger discount for having to take a cold shower. As we walked up the stairs my daughter witnessed 2 guys in a car in the parking lot using needles. Room was pretty dumpy with toilet seat broken and plugs behind thr bed didn’t work. I had to charge my phone in the closet with the microwave. Shower head was at my chest and again water was cold. Beds were average. Lastly, I got up early in the morning to go to Starbucks and when I got back the key wouldn’t even open the room. Not the best stay

It’s a little gem close to the airport and beach in one of the best neighborhoods in San Diego. Only one block from the harbor and the bay walk to shelter island. The room was spacious and comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I’ve stayed in a dozen hotels in this category and this one is my favorite!

My room was clean with a cold frig and basic cox cable TV. The motel is on a busy street, but with the fan running the traffic noise was blocked out. There is an excellent Mexican restaurant called La Perla 3 about 3 blocks south on Rosecrans. If your coming from the airport and traveling light, you can catch the 923 bus at the Harbor Drive and Spanish Landing stop. From terminal 2, walk just west of Air Canada and use the crosswalk. Walk south briefly through a parking lot and continue on a sidewalk to North Harbor Drive. The bus goes west to Nimitz, then a few blocks to Rosecrans. There is a Ralphs grocery store on that corner. Finally, walk south on Rosecrans about 6 blocks to Hotel Point Loma. This sounds like a lot, but it is really quite doable and saves over Uber or taxi fares. (bus $2.50 or $1.25 senior, exact change or Pronto app) I'm 72 and just had a small backpack and it was easy.

Only stayed 1 night to go fishing the next morning. Very convenient location and I was able to park my car at the hotel and walk to the landing for my fishing trip!

Super clean and updated old school motel. GREAT location with lots that is easy to walk to. Very nice staff. Fantastic value compared to the bigger chains that were nearby. Again- the location is so easy to walk to Shelter Island and all of those beautiful vistas. Spent 2 nights and never heard a peep from anything.

The set up was great. There was a cook top, microwave, sink and small refrigerator. The bed was average comfort however there was only ONE pillow. The room was very clean. The guy that checked me is was super friendly as was the cleaning lady. I would definitely stay here again, definitely for the price point of a last minute overnight stay,

I always come stay here when I am in town. It's within walking distance to a bunch of great restaurants and it's close to the water. Rooms are nice and comfortable. And Sam the receptionist is wonderful and accommodating. Always a pleasure to stay here.

My room was clean and in good working order. My sheets and towels were very fresh and clean, which is super important to me. The room was all clean and nothing looked shabby. The hotel is nothing fancy, but it is an affordable room to sleep in near Point Loma. There's a small parking lot at the hotel that is first come, first served, so if you're coming back late, you may have to park in the street but you have only until 8 am then you have to move. My A/C kept the room nice and cool as well as being a white noise. I didn't notice any loud neighbors or street sounds. Overall I would come back to stay again.

The bathroom vanity cabinet was falling apart. The particle board it was made of was shredding. Looked gross and unsanitary. If I had not prepaid I would not have stayed. The allowed me to switch rooms the next night. Bigger room but same issue in bathroom.
