Motel 6 San Francisco CA Fisherman"s Wharf

There was large dog poop in front of the door. The walls were black with hand prints/dirt. The shower floor hadn't been touched and was black as well. There was dried bloody snot or something on one wall, sheets were stained and had holes. Ten dollar parking fee was not in listing nor was the $100 security deposit. Parking was double stacked so you had to ask for the other car to be moved to get out. Tenants were yelling and fighting throughout the night, gun shots in parking lot. We had no choice to stay as surrounding hotels were booked. No sleep was had. Honestly the worst hotel I've stayed in. Left at first light.

We stayed here for two nights because it is pet friendly. Location is close to everything which made it convenient. Don't expect any other amenities. No shampoo and shower doesnt look like been cleaned.

Only One Ice Machine Under Lock and Key. $10.00 a day parking charge.

Terrible hotel. Overpriced $50 hotel charging $150+ $100 pet deposit (refundable) and $10 parking per night. Paper thin walls, no amenities, loud rowdy area, cheap owner never fixes elevator, automatic lights turning on whenever you get up to use the restroom and off in the middle of you shower. No shower water pressure, limited hot water will run out on the second person in the shower. Large room amd comfortable bed is all that is good about it and location. I wouldnt have stayed here if I knew what I know now. I want a refund.

They have extra charge for parking.and 2nd night he told me to double park and give him a key.because he save space for some guest.I go get the car key back in the morning he ask for ID and a lot of detail about my car.don’t know why?

Good budget motel, the parking lot was a bit sketchy as it was open and a lot of people easily come in and out of the area. Some people were hanging around the parking area and the stairwells were easily accessible to anyone. Plus it was $10 per day parking.

The gentleman at the front desk when we checked in at midnight, was very kind and explained the processes of the hotel very clearly. The neighborhood is noisy. I would not leave anything valuable in your car. The parking situation is a little difficult. You do sometimes have to park two cars in front of each other. It is within walking distance to a couple of great coffee, shops, a market, Ghirardelli Square, and fisherman’s wharf. Overall, I would stay here again. It was great for the price.

Friendly staff and helpful. For the price you pay there's not much to complain about. Its also PET FRIENDLY WITH NO HIDDEN FEES and Parking is reasonable compared to other parking lot rentals.

Do not stay here. The place was dirty,the bed and bath had hair in it and the tv didn't work.this is the dirtiest motel 6 I have ever had the mis pleasure of staying in

How this place hasn’t been condemned is beyond me. Our room was FILTHY, and smelled of mould. I don’t t know what photos they are using for the website, but it wasn’t reflected in our room at all. Our towels were ripped and stained, the shower floor disgusting, and there was filth all over the floors. This place needs a total overhaul or at the very least, every single bathroom gutted and renovated. It was also cluttered with furniture in varying states of wear and tear. Don’t get me started on the electrical appliances and outlets ( which appeared hazardous). We selected the one which looked the least frightening for charging our phones. We wore designated room socks and threw them out on checkout owing to the filthy floor. We couldn’t wait to check out.

Black mould. Dirty bed sheets. Stains. The floor was crusty. The towels have urine stains ??? Need I say more?!

Sheets, pillows, and comforter where dirty. Bed mattress was very uncomfortable. Shutter blinds were broken and sunlight came through window. Shower has black mold.

The room did not contain the amenities as advertised. The room was dusty, dirty and smelled bad. The surrounding tenants in nearby rooms frequently yelled and banged on the walls throughout the night. The room also had bedbugs.

The location is awesome but the filthiness is unacceptable. I dont expect much with Motel 6 but at least a clean towel and bed sheets. After we slept we felt so gross.Because the sheets looked disgusting.

We saw a mousse running under the bed in the first five minutes, we found hairs in the bedsheets and the pillows was almost yellow. In the morning, after washing our face, I noticed that one towel as purple stains and I still think that it wasn’t clean…

This place is very convenient in location and price is competitive for the area, but it’s dirty, molds in sink, the bedding has stain and holes. Not enough plugs for electronic device charging and the a/c is super dirty.

Rooms were not that clean and can hear all the neighbours. Nice, convenient location.

Parking was $10 super cheap for sf. Room was okay, tv didn’t work, room wasn’t cleaned well at all.. parking is way to close to other cars

Our room was very spacious, clean and updated. There is no fridge in the room.

So this is a Motel 6 and even though it's in the heart of San Francisco it doesn't try to rise above that. It's right in the middle of tall office buildings and it looks like someone transported it from the 60s. It's kind of amazing and cool how anachronistic it is in that location, and you'd think there'd be an opportunity to make something special out of it, but no. So there were none of the customary amenities in the room. While there were a couple bars of soap there were no shampoo or lotion or anything like that. There wasn't even a box of kleenex. The floors are not carpeted. They have some sort of dark wood-grained vinyl floor designed to cover up any dirt or damage. I would recommend bringing slippers because I wouldn't want to walk barefoot there. The walls had stains on them and I think a major improvement would just have been to paint the walls maybe once in the last decade. The bed clothes were clean but there were stains on them in places. I think it was like someone spilled a coke or something and it stained but rather than throw them away they just washed several times. The bathroom was reasonably clean. One of the corners of the shower had something that might have been mold but I've seen worse in much more expensive rooms so given the location (high humidity), it's probably about average level of cleanliness. I was there during dreamforce (Saleforce.com conference) and it was tough to find a room and this was expensive for what it is.

It said daily housekeeping and was expecting that, i wasn't told i had to request it. Sells noodles in a vending machine but doesn't offer hot water tea kettle. It showed room had a fridge microwave but later told it been requested to be removed. Then it says great for long stays but can't stay no longer than 14 days. So a lot of false advertising. But as they say you get what you pay for. I almost fell down the stairs because the lights had been turned off so couldn't see the steps it was very unsafe and before o6:00am.. They recommend to walk to Fisherman's wharf at night, now if they follow whats going on they wouldn't recommend it. You have Chestnut and polk you can walk on without going to a bar, as there is shops and restaurants Fisherman's wharf is great place to go during the day and go to chiradelli square. The walls are thin its pet friendly which is great but when you hear Owner yelling at the dog and god knows what else you want to call the police it was that bad- all it was a sharp dog tail hitting the human the 2nd Owner said it was sad.. Hope these 2 are safe from this cruel man... Point meaning sometimes you get people who shouldn't have dogs and walls so thin it makes you think your in a horror story. Motel 6 is also Van ness Inn but told Van ness inn wont close their website but blocked bookings but can be very misleading. No check out before 07am Friendly customer service absolutely just need to practice how to sell and how they need to improve check in.

It's an older property no fridge, no microwave, no coffee maker, no clock/alarm, no face cloth, no shampoo. Bare bones with a decent bed and walk in shower.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is in a great location to catch public transport to Fisherman's Wharf or downtown.

It looks like the property is changing ownership from VanNess Inn to Motel6 . The front desk was rude. Told me to return in 1 hr because the internet was down. When i returned, he asked for $100 CASH deposit. He explained that its in case i damage anything in the room. He added that if i dont want to pay the $100 cash deposit, i can cancel and go away! He also told me that no one else except me must enter the room because some come there and make noise and cause damages . I was disgusted by this time. This was my first times staying at Motel6 on Lombard St and VanNess Ave in San Francisco.. I checked out in the morning and WILL AVOID MOTEL6 from this point.. Dont book these places in advance.

Had to ring the door bell twice and then knock to get someone to open the door to check in. The ice maker was locked up and the worker did not have the key. No toilet paper holder so the paper was on the back of the toilet. No extra roll or any Kleenex.

When we arrived at the property our hotel room was not ready at 3pm which it clearly states on our reservation. The only reason we made in the room by 3:15 was because I informed housekeeping about my reservation and she was in a hurry leaving our room without enough toiletries for my stay. I called the frontdesk asking why my room wasn’t ready and he said there was nothing he could do and I needed to wait until it was done. The man proceeded to hang up on me. The worst customer service ever. I will not stay here again.

Scenic area close to Goldengate Bridge. Room is decent and basic, but smelled like dog pee, understandable for dog friendly. Parking fee $10 and Deposit isn't a soft hold but a real charge because they said no other way to do it in their system. It's been 5 days and I still haven't been able to get ahold of manager about refunding $100 Deposit charge. There wasn't anyone at desk for checkout between 7:30-7:45am on Monday. Checked twice so left key on counter. I'd like my $100 deposit refunded, it's Saturday now.

They asked me deposit for the stay that exceeds the room price per night. After check out they don’t return the deposit immediately. I am still waiting for it!

The man that was working in the office was rude. I needed and extra blanket called front desk he said he didn’t have extra blankets and if I was cold to turn the heater on. I check in with 4 ppl. 2 adults 2 kids. There was only 2 wash cloth and 3 dry off towels . I called hey can we get 2 wash cloth and 1 dry off towel because there’s was only 2 and 3 . He said no we only provide 2 wash cloth but you can come to the office in 30 mins for the one dry off towel. So I said what you expect 2 ppl to share a wash cloth I’m confused. He replied I don’t know what you will do but if you want the dry off towel come get it but that’s all you will be getting. I’ve been to cheap hotels/ motels and never been refused extra towels or blanket unless of course you have more pool in the room other than what you reserve for. The wall where dirty as hell the furniture was dirty such the couch. Horrible service since the moment I walked in the door.

where else would be. Good hotel that you can do all the things in this central location of SF with all action availability is the fisherman's Warf, Coit tower, winding road, north beach has lots of famous things, union square/or street areas.
