Partners with a nearby parking garage and has one of the more affordable daily rates. Centrally located and easy to reach areas of interest by foot or e-scooter (driving not recommended). Hotel is very compact and everything is small, understandable for the area. Rooms are decent, but don't expect luxury as affordability is key here. Hotel provides ear plugs in the night stand which speaks volumes (literally). Modern check-in via terminal, minimal staff interaction. Breakfast is decent with good options, definitely above average.

Very cozy reception. Staff is friendly and the breakfast is decent. The location was really great, being close to the train station and a cable car ride away from other attractions. Our room was clean but had a bit of a strange odor. The elevator was also old and tight but I would still stay here again.

This was a boutique hotel that was conveniently located for exploring the city. There was a cable car stop 1/2 block from the hotel. The building dated from 1912 but it was clean and comfortable. The single elevator was a bit slow and the bar was no longer open. The breakfast buffet was hot and good.

The vintage hotel was a night place overall. The lobby had flavored water every day, the facilities were clean, and the staff were friendly. There is no parking with the hotel, you have to choose a parking garage a block away, which can be challenging. I had rented a car because I was there on business, and it cost $45 a day. The hotel staff told us the parking garage was open 24/7; however, when we left on Saturday, we were shocked to find it closed. The hours were posted, but we hadn't noticed the limited hours on the weekend. It all worked out, but use Uber/Lyft, parking is so expensive. But travel and enjoy the sights!

Not high end but comfortable. Older hotel but very clean and comfortable. One small elevator so the wait can get annoying but the free breakfast was very well done. Overall it is good value for the price. I would stay again.

The hotel has a very strong bad smell, flooring is dirty. Breakfast was good and bedding was good too. Staffs were very unfriendly. The lift was the slowest one I ever seen. Despite all the bad impressions of the hotel, it was so convenient to go many places just by walking, e.g. Union Square, Chinatown, restaurants etc

The room was clean but small, very small bathroom, as in most hotels/motels the shower head was way too high. Not enough towels. The hotel is old but clean and tidy, nice lobby with a fire in the fireplace (nice touch) would stay there again.

The property is very dated. Furniture was in poor condition, blinds in the room were jenky, and elevator wall paper was terrible. The overwhelming perfumed scents when you walk into the hotel, down the hall and in your room is awful. Good thing the window opened some. The best part of the stay was the bed was comfortable, location was great and breakfast was good. Great scrambled eggs.

The American breakfast was good. The breakfast area was available 24/7 for use microwave or cutleries. The old building smell gave me reaction and difficulties to breathe. Bedding was stained: blanket, mattress cover, pillows covers.

This is very good value in an old historic hotel that has been refurbished some time ago. Location is excellent: one block from Powell Street with a cable car stop right there, 11 minutes' walk from the Montgomery St. BART station, a five minute walk to the Sutter St., MUNI stop, and of course, immediately accessible by Lyft, Uber, and the autonomous Waymo driverless cars. Service personnel were uniformly friendly and helpful and that made a big difference. The room was comfortable if small, air conditioned with a relatively quiet AC unit that also allowed for fan only functioning, bathroom was appropriately equipped and water pressure was good. Cleanliness was good overall. Lighting in the room was harsh white due to the bulbs that were chosen for the side table and ceiling lamps and could have been softer and more welcoming by far. That would only require a change of the LED bulb color temperature to a warmer spectrum light. There were signs of wear here and there, e.g., our door needed to be slammed in order to close and there were signs of over-painting and paint chipping here and there. Nothing egregious. The breakfast room was a converted sports bar, spacious, a little dark, but otherwise quite functional and the breakfast offerings were varied and substantial and felt like a very good value including hot items that changed from day to day. I would say that breakfast was one of the high points of the stay. The lobby was welcoming with a gas fireplace.

The hotel is a little bit dated although the lobby has been refurbished in the last few years. Nice staff. We had a room on the top floor and we would’ve had a bit of a view, but the windows were so dirty that you could hardly see through them. Also, the blinds or the curtains leaked sunlight so that as soon as it got light in the morning, it was like day in the room. Breakfast was a solid 7/10. The minimum basic things you could expect but nothing extra. It’s always a bit of a bummer when you have to eat out of plastic cups and carton plates.

A nice, clean hotel with friendly staff. Great location within short walking distance to Chinatown and Union Square. It’s a “vintage” property so the elevator is somewhat slow. The free Wifi never successfully connected, but not a big deal given I had cell phone reception. The included Buffet Breakfast is tasty, however the dining area is very small. Note that you’re required to clean up the table yourself upon meal completion. Overall good value compared to other downtown hotels. I’d stay here again.

Breakfast was amazing. Cereal, fluffed eggs, bacon, potato’s, toast, orange juice and fruits. Good variety and seating. Room was nice just very humid and wet feeling. Could definitely use something for all the condensation because it’s lowkey smelling like mold but the place was beautiful. WiFi was excellent and bed was comfy. It does get loud at night because of traffic and people outside of room thank god they provided ear buds so I slept peacefully. Would definitely book again.

The hotel was older than it looked in the pictures, but overall it was well maintained and a great value. Some drawbacks: The stairs from the lobby to the second floor could use some attention; they felt loose. This is the only hotel I’ve stayed at in the past few years that didn’t have a mini fridge in the room. Not a huge deal since I only had a couple of Pepsis, but surprising nonetheless. Space in San Francisco is definitely at a premium. Nowhere was this more evident than in the bathroom for our room. Visualize yourself showering in a telephone booth and you’ll get the idea. HOWEVER: All of the drawbacks were forgiven by what the hotel has going for it. I needed a relatively economical hotel in or near Union Square to crash at for a night. Check. The hotel had to be not just clean, but nearly spotless. Check. The beds were very comfortable. The sheets and blankets were of high quality. I almost skipped the breakfast because hotel breakfasts are usually underwhelming, mass produced, and tasteless. I’m glad I went to the breakfast here! If the poached eggs weren’t hand cooked, they did a great job of fooling us. The home fries were crispy and delicious. But what sets the Executive Hotel Vintage Court apart is their staff. Every single person I came in contact with went out of their way to treat me like a guest in their home, not just like a generic hotel guest. That is what will likely earn future business from me.

Room was Fine. it’s what I was expecting, not super fancy, but the bathroom was super tight to get into, and the street noise was very loud at night. THIS PLACE DOESN'T HAVE PARKING, the main amenity I was looking for that they is listed on the website they don’t really have. They are partnered with a parking structure about a block away, and it is very secure, BUT it cost $50 per night to keep your car there, and that’s on top of your hotel room. Also breakfast was pretty solid, but parking was wack. It is crazy close to china town and union square so if you don’t mind walking it’s a cheaper option to be close to those attractions. The area around the building isn’t super sketchy but is relatively sketchy if you not used to walking around city’s at night. Final thought: It was ok, not great, not bad, just ok.

Unfortunately, my room was located right next to the only elevator. Thank goodness it didn't run all night. The bed was very comfortable and the temperature of the room was very favorable. The shower was good -- could use grab bars. I rated the breakfast separately -- a good variety of food and well-planned dining room.

I felt very stifled and "boxed-in" at the king room in this property. The pictures on the website for this room show 4 big windows and a view - the room had only 1 and a half windows, was completely boxed-in and surrounded by building walls. The corridors and elevator were narrow and inconvenient to bring a luggage cart up to the room. The door to the room wouldn't lock properly without being fixed. The facilities are very old and outdated. Not worth the price / nightly cost of a room.

Very old property, room was super small, hotel staff was rude from the very beginning, they don’t even give drinking water to the guests. Cleaning service is EXTRA $40. Air conditioning was old and super noisy to the point that makes your sleep annoying and uncomfortable. Bathroom doesn’t have air extractor which makes it just not convenient. Breakfast was very limited too.

Panju was most thoughtful , informative &helpful. Both the latter two have great senses of humour. The front desk and service staff were all amazing and friendly. We had a rental car which we were able to park in the streets overnight. Be careful on checking the signs to see the street cleaning days and no stop time limits. Otherwise we were able to find a spot for three days on the street for free. Breakfast had eggs and bacon or sausage, fruits, fried potatoes, yogurt, breads, freshly made muffins etc. This area is within walkable distance to all of Chinatown 5 min away, Fisherman's wharf/Pier 39 was about 30 min walk. Many other restaurants close by. Felt very safe outside, area is clean. We would book again.

The cleaning staff stole my stuff while she did the room service，when i checkout the room the other day，I found out and confronted her，she said she just took from the room after cleaning. She is definitely lying because the room was still not cleaned when this happened and she took it from storage room without reporting it to lost and found. The hotel manager is rood and careless about their client. The room is dirty，smells bad. The sheet was dirty and still have hair in bathtub. So rediculous！

When we arrived, our room was not ready. The check-in wasn’t until 3 o’clock. Abel said he would take care of our bags and we can get to our room later. We started on our vacation, knowing our bags would be in good hands. All thorough our stay, Abel was very attentive to all of our needs. The continental breakfast was just what we needed in the morning. We would definitely come back to this hotel.

This was an older hotel if I recall correctly built in 1902 and to my surprise in really good shape. I enjoyed my stay and the front desk staff, cleaning staff, and kitchen staff was awesome.

There were a group of people making a lot of noise that carried into 2 am. When I called the front desk and asked the manager to request this group to dismantle I was told he would try but the ‘hotel was full and if I did not want to stay, I could leave’. I was quite taken aback by this direction. I reminded the manager that it was 2 am and he needed to shut this group down so the hotel guests could sleep which is what one does in a hotel! They eventually dismantled in about an hour later and we were able to sleep. Not impressed by the lack of support by the manager. Otherwise the hotel was in a great location and sufficiently clean and the breakfast was adequate.

The hotel is nice - and the staff are just excellent. We were warmly welcomed and had a wonderful stay. The location is "up the hill" a bit but well worth the walk if you are doing that.

The area down from the hotel on Powell St. has lots of homeless, therefore there were large swath of sidewalk area with human feces and urine. Moreover, I did not feel safe walking on Powell St near the Cable Car area at night. On the other hand, hotel employees are very professional, helpful, courteous. Hotel has lots of amenities such as hot breakfast, instant hot water through room faucets, strong AC unit, comfortable bed and complementary wine pouring in the evening. My only grip is the Wi-Fi was awfully useless anywhere in the hotel. I was getting slower than modem speed and frequent loss of connection. This is 2024, please implement a useful Wi-Fi.

We were worried about safety in the city, but the location is very good (close and safe to walk to Union Square and Chinatown). Very attentive staff to help with whatever is needed. Bar restaurant working with basic but good options. Clean and comfortable rooms.

This is very good value in an old historic hotel that has been refurbished some time ago. Location is excellent: one block from Powell Street with a cable car stop right there, 11 minutes' walk from the Montgomery St. BART station, a five minute walk to the Sutter St., MUNI stop, and of course, immediately accessible by Lyft, Uber, and the autonomous Waymo driverless cars. Service personnel were uniformly friendly and helpful and that made a big difference. The room was comfortable if small, air conditioned with a relatively quiet AC unit that also allowed for fan only functioning, bathroom was appropriately equipped and water pressure was good. Cleanliness was good overall. Lighting in the room was harsh white due to the bulbs that were chosen for the side table and ceiling lamps and could have been softer and more welcoming by far. That would only require a change of the LED bulb color temperature to a warmer spectrum light. There were signs of wear here and there, e.g., our door needed to be slammed in order to close and there were signs of over-painting and paint chipping here and there. Nothing egregious. The breakfast room was a converted sports bar, spacious, a little dark, but otherwise quite functional and the breakfast offerings were varied and substantial and felt like a very good value including hot items that changed from day to day. I would say that breakfast was one of the high points of the stay. The lobby was welcoming with a gas fireplace.

We like the hotel's convenient location to Union Square, public transportation, Chinatown, and restaurants. The breakfast is an added bonus! The staff is helpful and self-check out is great. Although, WiFi is available, we didn't use it. We'd definitely come back to stay here again. My only complaint was that no one at the hotel responded to an email I sent directly to the hotel nor to the messages I sent to the hotel via Expedia. That's lack of communication. I was able to finally call them the day before of my check-in and the staff who answered the phone had no idea what I was talking about.

Breakfast was amazing. Cereal, fluffed eggs, bacon, potato’s, toast, orange juice and fruits. Good variety and seating. Room was nice just very humid and wet feeling. Could definitely use something for all the condensation because it’s lowkey smelling like mold but the place was beautiful. WiFi was excellent and bed was comfy. It does get loud at night because of traffic and people outside of room thank god they provided ear buds so I slept peacefully. Would definitely book again.

The hotel is a little bit dated although the lobby has been refurbished in the last few years. Nice staff. We had a room on the top floor and we would’ve had a bit of a view, but the windows were so dirty that you could hardly see through them. Also, the blinds or the curtains leaked sunlight so that as soon as it got light in the morning, it was like day in the room. Breakfast was a solid 7/10. The minimum basic things you could expect but nothing extra. It’s always a bit of a bummer when you have to eat out of plastic cups and carton plates.

Overall, the hotel felt very old and outdated. The shower was extremely small, which made it quite uncomfortable and difficult to use. Housekeeping is only provided once every seven days, so we usually had to ask the front desk for fresh towels. Housekeeping is only provided once every seven days, so we usually had to ask the front desk for fresh towels. The breakfast had limited options, but it was decent enough for a complimentary breakfast. In my opinion, the main advantages of this hotel are its convenient location and free breakfast. Other than that, the property could really use some updates and improvements.

This hotel is historic but without too much charm. The lobby is pleasant. The room was clean. And the included breakfast buffet was pretty good. The less attractive aspects were the noise in the room from people in the hallway and in neighboring rooms, and without a telephone in the room, you can’t easily call the front desk to complain. There was often a long wait for the single elevator and long lines at the breakfast buffet. Also both lobby and breakfast room are a bit dingy and could benefit from more natural light coming in.
