University Inn at San Luis Obispo

Övernattade med vänner då vi åkte längs med den berömda kustremsan (HW1) på väg ner till Los Angeles. Hotellet passade på flera sätt då vi inte behövde ha några direkta bekvämligheter eller liknande då det endast var för övernattning Överlag fräscht och hyfsat nyrenoverade rum när vi var där, ligger några restauranger i närheten annars är det väldigt nära ner till downtown. Kan starkt rekommendera ”EUREKA!” Om man är sugen på riktigt bra öl och hamburgare

The staff was very personable, the room was clean and there was ample parking. Conveniently located near college and the culture of SLO. We also appreciated breakfast that allowed for a hot breakfast sandwich.

Four years ago we stayed here while building our new home on our rural land and became good friends with the Indian couple who owned it rocky and his lovely wife so since then every couple of weeks we stay with them for a break in February because they're close to the Amtrak we stayed the night before starting a international three months holiday to our shock and horror no rocky instead an elder down couple when we he led in she screamed at us because she thought the driver dropping us off was someone extra we were sneaking in she was rude and obnoxious We thought maybe they were just filling in so on may tenth after thirty hours from Adelaide to Melbourne to La then 8 hours at union station and seven hours on Amtrak forty hours traveling with maybe one hours sleep we walked a mile and a half me in a wheelchair my wife carrying luggage mainly uphill to check-in and at 9 pm there was the banshee screaming at us that we were stupid if we lived nearby why not go home( our ranch is 75 miles away) then after over a hundred nights staying there she demanded $200 security for a $90 room we were treated like criminals we had prepaid way back I. February thinking the wonderful rocky would be a welcome sight after a monstrous journey how to kill a great property that was at the top put these two in charge do not stay here folks if I hadn't prepaid we sure as hell wouldn't have

When I first arrived no one was at the counter and I waited a while and still no one. The bathroom was not in good shape. A blank old bracket was still on the wall, the mirror was cracked and the shower had a high pitched noise when in use. The breakfast was very very basic and you had to pay to have water or juice.
