Motel 6-Santa Ana, CA - Irvine - Orange County Airport

Very friendly and easy to get to from any locations around OC & LA. Very clean and lots of available parking.

Air works great. Standard rooms are a little on the worn side. Upgraded rooms are much better. Fridge, microwave, King size bed, and a comfy dining table area I used as a desk.

The hot tub wasn't working and hasn't been working for sometime, the pool had green algae all over it. The washing machine and dryer suck money and the ice makers didn't work.

It’s an excellent hotel and has a reasonable rate. It is a great value for your money and extremely comfortable.. The pool is always clean and they keep the grounds beautiful. It is pet friendly and has plenty of space to walk your pets.

Nice property close to 55 freeway - very strong showers - they need to use fabric softener in the sheets- a little stiff- bed was fine and parking was great - i had a nice time

The Jacuzzi wasn't working and I was told it hadn't worked in a long time. Nothing on website to tell you they are sorry but the Jacuzzi is not working, one of the reasons we like to stay here, besides their dog policy. The pool had algae all over the sides of it. Room wasn't that clean, always clean when we check in. We are traveling and have a trailer trailer with us. On the third day they were telling us we couldn't park on the property, they were rude as f. I had to call corporate. The next day not a word. Then check in again this morning. They said we're expecting to be booked today, you are going to have to move the trailer. It takes up 1 spot, they wouldn't give us the paper to put in the window of the truck or the one for the trailer. This hotel has a huge parking lot, it's one spot. The lack of communication or delivery of it is horrible. Please add a notice that pops up or something stating two of your best amenities are not in working condition. Due to this huge inconvenience we are discounting each room by $10.00. We will have them up and running soon.

I called before making my reservation to confirm the hot tub was functioning and was told it’s functioning but the bubbles aren’t functioning poorly at the moment which I was ok with as i just wanted to soak and relax my aching back. I checked in and since it was a hot day i had no desire to visit the hot tub until the evening and to my surprise I get there to find a cold tub . I head to the lobby and inquire maybe they need to turn it on and I get a reply of it’s not working that’s where I have an issue you lie to customers to get them in the door now???? Best part is when I told her I spoke to a gentleman who confirmed it’s working before making a reservation she said what number did you call I showed her my phone that read motel 6 Irvine on the caller id which she claimed wasn’t their number so i called the number put it on speaker and the look on her face when the phone rang and she picked up and her hello went through her phone and out my speaker was comical. She the says well you can speak with the man who told you it’s functioning when he arrives in the morning at 9 am as if I live on the property and am concerned about the future I’m was concerned about the night I stayed and dishonest conduct. Besides that the hallways had a funky odor and the people who were entering and leaving looked as if they’re homeless/addicts as if they’re housing them there in the hotel at first I was concerned about my truck but did notice the had security patrolling … avoid this place

Overall, the hotel is disgusting. I stayed in an absolutely vile room with a floor and bathroom floor that looked like they hadn't been cleaned in weeks or months. Additionally, outside in the walkways and parking lot, the ground was very dirty.

Horrible stay. I was initially put in a room that smelled like someone was chain smoking when the room I booked was supposed to be nonsmoking. Although I was accommodated into another room, there were bugs on the floor, which was so nasty. Lots of homeless people and drug users hanging out around the property. Not very safe

The place is okay, only if you take the price into account. It was one of the cheapest I could find in the area. With that said, the smells were terrible. The building smelled like urine, which likely originated from the carpet in the hallways, and my room smelled like an old house basement in a very bad way, mixed with some strong chemical smell that resembled some bitter Chinese medicines. The room was in fact quite clean but it was the smell that was the problem. There was also a yellowish puddle in the walkway that leads to one of the buildings. The color turned lighter during the day, but it got darker again the next morning. Turns out that a guest let his dog out to urinate on the walkway every morning. Perhaps a sprinkler went off or the staff hosed it down during the day, but the guest would repeat letting his dog out to urinate at the same spot again the following day. I suspect that someone or some animals also urinated on the carpet in the hallways, or other guests simply transferred the urine from the outside to the inside. Overall the place isn’t terrible considering the price, but only if you don’t care about smells.

I stayed my 1st night in the back building which had a few noisy guests and the grounds outside of the building were not the cleanest nor well-groomed, but the room itself was spacious and the motel surroundings were quiet. On the 2nd night I swapped rooms to be inside the motel’s main building which was definitely quieter, HOWEVER, it was in this room that I encountered seeing 1 cockroach. Twas f*cking disgusting but at least I didn’t see another one after that. The front desk staff were extremely helpful, accommodating, and warm which made my experience staying here more comfortable. The 7-11, Arco, Carls Jr, and Del Taco all being within immediate walking distance from the motel was extremely convenient. I don’t know if I’d feel comfortable having my children with me staying here due to trash being left to sit outside of rooms inside the building corridors or the poorly kept conditions seen in some areas around the motel, as well as the frequent sight of homeless men and women who feel comfortable enough to casually linger around the hotel and its front entrance and beg hotel guests for money and cigarettes. Not to mention the cockroach. That was gross as hell too and I wouldn’t want my child amidst filthy conditions as such. If you’re traveling alone then this is a great place to stay as it’s not so bad enough to where you’re unable to humble yourself and stay so you can save as much money as can. I wouldn’t bring your girl here or your in-laws though. 2.5 out of 5 stars

Good value for the price - nice size rooms with balcony- if you are a germaphobe might want to pass-can be a bit noisy with road project noise and planes landing at airport - All and all good value - could use new mattress and better disinfecting - but that said- I would stay again

Nicest and quietest Motel 6 I’ve stayed in. Room is bigger than other locations. Room was very clean. And not a bunch of homeless hanging around outside. Close to food and shopping

one night so I could wake up early & get to SNA quickly. conveniently, there is a gas station right next to Motel 6 which makes refueling your rental car ez. there was a barking dog in the room next to me; the bed was not good; same with the pillows; shower was a little funky but hey-- it's what you get for a less expensive place to stay.

Check-in was quick and smooth. Employees were kind and the room was nice and clean

Front desk was just not servicing my stay from the start. I arrived right before 3pm check-in time. I provided the front desk my reservation # and immediately she said there were no rooms available and to come back after 3pm. I’ve never heard a front desk agent say to come back after checkin time to check availability. What’s the point having reservations and you still don’t have a room ready for you? Out of all my travel experiences, this one time I just wanted to lay down already from a long drive of travel. While my frustration started building up, I waited patiently and when the time hit 3pm, I called. Front desk asked me smoking or non-smoking and I said definitely NON-SMOKIMG (it’s also stated on my reservation). Front desk asked another staff member (while on the phone) if there are any non-smoking. She got confirm yes that have a room now available. OK, but when I get to the front desk again, front desk says they only have smoking rooms available. I’m like, you just told me there is a non-smoking room available! Finally, after her looking at the computer to search for that non-smoking room or whatever process she was doing, I finally got a room. Just me writing this I’m exhausted. I can’t bare to come back to this place again. I’m sorry.

At 6am, another hotel guest almost entered my room, but I had the door locked. Why did another resident enter my room at 6am? Because the hotel staff FAILED to mark my room as occupied, and then gave it to another guest with key access to the room I was sleeping in. They then proceeded to call my room minutes after and started asking me questions about who I am. They failed to put me in their system. They told me "we don't have you in our system" as if it's something I'm supposed to apologize for. The next morning the front desk asked me to stay before checking out so that the manager could come and investigate -- I said sorry, I need to check out and I'm not waiting around for your manager. Unbelieveable, I've never had an experience like this.

Front Desk Clerk super friendly ! I had an issue with the ac when arriving so i notified staff and she went out of her way to get me to a different room in the same hallway no questions asked . I didn't catch her name unfortunately but shes by far the most friendliest female working there in front desk. She worked from the time i checked in until the time i checked out from my room and her mood was still the same and energetic leaving a good impression of the hospitality.

All the girls at the front desk are simply wonderful and the room service girls are perfect and this hotel ranks first among all Motel 6s in the United States.

Sketchy location

Front desk gal and security are great, very friendly and welcoming. Parking lot was sketchy at first with the am pm across the lot housing homeless addicts but nobody ever bothered us or our cars and they stayed in their area, security is familiar with them and is on it 24/7. The building and room were good, clean, comfortable and no bugs. A step or two above many other Motel 6 for sure. Convenient location and we will stay here again next year.

Close to the airport.

Worst Motel6 I've ever stayed at. There were cockroaches in the room. We requested to be moved rooms after walking in to a strong odor of urine. We were in a very bad part of town. The AM/PM next door had a large group of homeless people openly smoking drugs. Police cruisers constantly driving circles around the motel. Our neighbors door opened and slammed shut all night long, waking us up every 15-20 minutes. On top of everything, the manager accused us of having several guests in and out throughout our stay. We did not. I can not understand how this place is in business. I wouldn't give it 1 star if it was an option.

Always have great experiences. We had an upgraded with a pool view. Pet friendly. Extremely convenient to restaurants and entertainment.

Well maintained, clean, just absolutely no frills and at times loud from other guests. Mattress and pillows were not comfortable. Bring your own hairdryer and toiletries. Adjacent to fast food and gas stations. Clean and safe but by no means luxurious.
