Enjoyed a couples getaway for a few nights. Perfect location and within walking distance to the beach, restaurants and entertainment. Quaint hotel with nice pool and jacuzzi. Continental breakfast was a bonus as well as free parking, bike rentals and EV charging.

Perfect. Best continental breakfast. Friendly staff. Bikes. Jacuzzi and pool. Cleanliness. Peaceful. Close to beach. Comfortable king bed. Everything was the best. If I didn't have a dog, I would stay here every single time I come to Santa Barbara!

We liked the room and the breakfast. We did not like the wait or service at check in. The African American guy at the counter wouldn't even look up from his writing or make eye contact. After about thirty seconds I asked if I could check in. He was annoyed. All he said was "I need your license and credit card". That is no welcome. Also, there was no elevator. Otherwise all was good.

Very cute boutique hotel not too far from the beach and downtown. They offer bikes that are in great condition and complimentary as well as a complimentary wine and cheese happy hour which was perfect. Pool was a little chilly at first but great after a hot tub dip. Not much of a gym but they have a few cardio machines. Staff very helpful and friendly with lots of suggestions. I would stay here again!

This is a cool hotel. Very large room, lots of little details in the design and execution. It was a shame to have arrived so late that we couldn't fully enjoy the experience. Breakfast is limited but enjoyable; we had plenty to eat to get on with our day. My only negative is that there is no elevator so the second floor rooms require carrying luggage up the stairs.

My family and I were pleasantly surprised with how much space there was in the suite! Although the space is a bit outdated, it was exceptionally clean, comfortable and well thought out in terms of guest needs. From the complimentary breakfast, wine and cheese hour, and access to water, tea and hot chocolate, as a family traveling we couldn't ask for more! The location can't be beat with the beach and great restaurants and shops walking distance.

The staff were very professional and polite to my wife and I on our 4 year wedding anniversary. The rooms were very clean, and the pool area and jacuzzi were also kept clean as well. We really enjoyed our stay.

Staff were congenial and helpful. Room was simple but clean. I read reviews that mentioned the water had a peculiar scent. I think this was due to the amount of lime and calcium build-up in the pipes. CLR might address that. My only "complaint," if anything, would be that the gate around the swimming pool never worked for me, despite the staff giving me several new keys.

The rooms are very clean and staff very helpful. Also the lobby area is great. However the corridors leading to our room had torn and dirty carpet - kind of looked shabby in my opinion. The best part is that it is close - a reasonable walking distance - to the main pier in Santa Barbara.

The place was very clean and the staff was very friendly and nice, they have happy hour and offer wine and cheese. The swiming pool was really clean and very nice, they also have a hot tub. The hotel is close to down town and also to the beach. We enjoyed our time, they also offer breakfast..

Our 1 bedroom suite was very spacious and well-equipped. Unfortunately, the sofa bed was extremely uncomfortable, and the pillows in the king bedroom need to be retired. The staff was polite and the lobby was comfortable. The suite was very clean, except for the fake fruit and flower arrangements which were dusty.

Great place to stay if you have kids. We we're on the 1st floor underneath a large family. The walls are super thin and we didn’t catch much sleep. Children running and screaming all hours of the night. We called the front desk to move but they said they could do nothing even though they had vacancy. At $333 / nt stay somewhere else if you want a relaxing time.

On our trip to Santa Barbara we stayed at Brisas del Mar. Room was very comfortable but a little dated. Our unit had a full kitchen so having a frig and microwave was really nice. The free breakfast was very convenient and was superior to what you'd get at other hotels (e.g., Hampton Inn, Holiday Inn Express, etc). We traveled in/out of Santa Barbara via Amtrak so the location of the hotel a few blocks from the station was great. Only complaint is we could hear the people above us walking around in the evening when we were trying to fall asleep.

Everything was very good, we received a nice reception from the gentleman at the desk when we arrived! The champagne welcome was appreciated. Nice clean pool and beautiful flowers all over the property. Comfortable beds and nice shower. My only complaint is that Rm 22 is not a good location. Its next to the maids room and was very very loud whenever they needed to go in there! Our headboard shook every time they slammed the door! We will be back , but will request a different room.

We received upgrades to the penthouse king suite! It was the size of an apartment! Lovely! Patio overlooking the pool. Comfortable bed. Nice architecture and landscaping. Staff was very helpful.

This was a quick one night getaway from LA. The property is basically a glorified motel. The door and window of the room open to an outdoor walkway on the second floor. The “first” floor is the parking area so if we open our blinds, we see people walking by our room and cars parked below. The room furnishings are basic. Our “VIP” amenity was a bottle of sparkling wine that couldn’t have cost more than $5-6. The description on hotels.com oversells the property. The location isn’t bad as it’s a few blocks to the beach. But $445 a night for what is basically a motel room is exorbitant.

Nice cozy hotel. We stayed in the standard suite, king bed. The room was spacious and really liked how clean it was. The only problem for me was the mattress was not comfortable. One side of the mattress was sinking in, kinda worn out. It’s time to switch that mattress to a new one! Friendly staff, free self parking and only 3 minutes from the beach. Overall great hotel, I would definitely stay here again.

I never stated here. Upon check in, night manager, Aaron, said they have no parking for my car, that it didn’t fit into parking. My car is a jeep with a roof rack, nothing unusual. Then, homeless person began telling me how he is coming to visit me. This hotel unlike advertised is not on the beach, it is near a freeway entrance and right next to gas station, it is surrounded by homeless, car noise and ocean or beach is nowhere to be found. Night manager asked for my ID, I told him it was in the car. He filled me to my car and began yelling at me that he doesn’t want to give me a room because I was upset and he didn’t like my tone. He refused service, because there is no parking and hotel lied in its advertising. I left, called Expedia asking for. Refund. Manager then lied to Expedia, told them I had no ID for check in. He scared me and my son, with his angry manners, then refused service and proceeded to lie about all of it to Expedia not to provide a refund owed.

Diego was the favorite part of our stay, giving incredible hospitality, who is very knowledgeable and has a lovely energy!! We also received a complimentary room upgrade and a bottle of wine for my birthday. Truly a wonderful stay in Santa Barbara!! Couldn’t have asked for more :)

COVID is no longer an issue. Rooms should be serviced daily without the need to have to ask for it on a daily basis. We loved our stay and the hotel is nice and staff is excellent. We did ask for service each day but it was not serviced daily. That i feel should change. Room should be serviced daily without having to ask for it.

Our stay at the Brisas del Mar was amazing. The property is very clean and comfortable, and the little extra details like guest happy hour and free good coffee were really cool. The best part of this hotel is the staff- we were hesitant at first after a terrible hotel experience in Malibu, but working with Eli at the Brisas del Mar was great- he took great pains to make sure we would be satisfied and and clearly we were a high priority for him. This is old school hospitality-and it is rare- Props to Eli and Brisas del Mar!

The hotel staff was amazing. Very friendly and available. The room was clean and modern. The property around the hotel was not desirable. The streets were dirty and had odor. This has nothing to do with the hotel just unfortunately the dynamics of the area. We always felt safe, no issues there. The hotel lobby is delightful and the complimentary breakfast was nice.

I never stated here. Upon check in, night manager, Aaron, said they have no parking for my car, that it didn’t fit into parking. My car is a jeep with a roof rack, nothing unusual. Then, homeless person began telling me how he is coming to visit me. This hotel unlike advertised is not on the beach, it is near a freeway entrance and right next to gas station, it is surrounded by homeless, car noise and ocean or beach is nowhere to be found. Night manager asked for my ID, I told him it was in the car. He filled me to my car and began yelling at me that he doesn’t want to give me a room because I was upset and he didn’t like my tone. He refused service, because there is no parking and hotel lied in its advertising. I left, called Expedia asking for. Refund. Manager then lied to Expedia, told them I had no ID for check in. He scared me and my son, with his angry manners, then refused service and proceeded to lie about all of it to Expedia not to provide a refund owed.

Walking distance to the beach and State st. The hotel is a little older but has charm. The beds are comfortable rooms are spacious w fridge etc. The staff were very friendly and attentive. Even making sure my laptop charger that i left behind was sent back to me. Highly recommend them for a stsy!

The property was ok - this place should be a $200/night hotel, not twice that. It has a good location close to the beach and the beds are comfortable but the breakfast is three cereals and a bagel or white bread you can toast, no mini bar or room service, nothing bad but normally you get more than this for the money.

Walking distance to the waterfront, and they have bikes you can check out so you can bike along the beach. Staff was attentive and went out of their way to help us. Beds were comfortable and we loved using the hot tub after a long day of biking. Also one of the few continental breakfasts with great pastries!

Staff was excellent. Checkin was awesome. Breakfast was a huge disappointment. Fruit was bad, and limited. No variety. Need to advertise as continental Breakfast.

Staff was helpful and friendly; lots of breakfast foods, coffee, juice each morning; many, many DVDs to check out. There was also a happy hour with wine and snacks each afternoon. Location was an easy walk to both the beach and downtown Santa Barbara (downtown was just under a mile, and Stearns Wharf was also just under a mile).

Check in was efficient and Esteban gave us restaurant recommendations and told us about the complementary bike rental. We were upgraded to a suite which had a full size refrigerator, stove and cooktop. As an Expedia VIP a bottle of complementary champagne was in the frig. They have a good sized pool and jacuzzi that looked very inviting, but we did not have a chance to get in. The continental breakfast had yogurt, oatmeal, breakfast breads/danish, fresh cut melon and egg bites. The property is older , but well kept and clean. We will be back!!

Adore the hotel! Quiet and relaxing! Made use of the bicycles. Afternoon wine and cheese and lovely breakfast with fancy danishes, oatmeal,yogurt parfait, spinach quiche etc etc… We hated to leave! The staff so pleasant and kind. A+++++++

We were pleasantly surprised by this hotel. The prices in Santa Barbara are very high, and we were hoping to stay on the beach. However, the reviews for this hotel were excellent so we decided to try it. Totally worth it. The front desk was so friendly, check in was a breeze at 3pm on a Friday. They do happy hours with cookies and wine and sangria. The room was spacious, which is hard to find in Santa Barbara. Bed was very comfortable. We rented a DVD from the front desk which was very nostalgic. The hot tub and pool were clean. The location was easily walkable from downtown. We would definitely stay here again. The resorts on the waterfront are overrated and over priced, your only view is of the street and crowds of people anyways, I recommend you stay here instead.
