Room was great. Pool looked nice but a bit too cold so I didn't use it. Typical Continental Breakfast but did have good name brand products for yogurts, cereal, outmeal, muffins and good coffee.

The facility is fine, nice beds (awful pillows) nice bathroom, nice room lay out. Carpet in room old and musty, room musty smelling. Fridge and microwave work fine. Glorified motel standard. Gym is bare bones but effective. Breakfast is simple lots of cereal, bagels, pasteries, and fruit. No eggs or protein items (some sugar yogurts there). No sleep timer on remote (something I like to have), lots of channels avaliable.

Sandpiper Lodge was clean, comfortable and convenient. Housekeeping was impeccable, staff friendly. The new bedroom unit we occupied was well insulated for sounds, but the heat/ac unit was a bit noisy on high. It's a good value for the money.

There was mold in the bathroom, a weird stain on the pillow, and the fire alarm was set off in the middle of the night. The breakfast is just toast, cereal, oatmeal, and yogurt, not what you’d expect. The lobby is nice, the pool and hottub are as well. Service was great.

The in-wall air conditioner was very loud and actually made the walls vibrate. When the bed was pushed up against the wall, the whole bed shook from the AC vibrations and kept waking us up during the night. Was that rusted metal thing a safe? We didn’t want to touch it to find out. They gave us a box of Kleenex that was nearly empty. This place needs major updating.

For the price this was a clean and roomy hotel room. However, the walls are ridiculously thin. I hardly got any sleep the one night I stayed there because the person in the room next to me snored all night long! Yes, I could hear the snoring through the wall. If you're a sound, good sleeper this might not be a problem. However, if you expect a quiet sleeping experience, you might want to rethink this location.

Not worth the over $200 i paid per night. I know it was UCSB move in weekend, but still too expensive for what I received. The breakfast was disappointing. The receptionist I had at check in was very rude. Everyone else was nice. Housekeeping didnt speak Engliah, so it was hard to get what I needed. It is a nice kept hotel, but i womt stay again.

When we arrived at the hotel, we were greeted with a smile by Jeanette the front desk clerk. She quickly got us registered for our room and eventually we were able to meet and speak with the manager Sean, because they were very pleasant in the beginning it's set the tone for the stay at the hotel

I was impressed, for the price of the stay I wasn't expecting such a nice place, the room was very clean, and much larger than expected. Some great dining options within a block or two. Friendly staff, the only complaint was the breakfast options were, well id just plan on going out for breakfast but I travel basically full time and I recommend the sandpiper lodge if your staying in Santa Barbara. I'll be back next time I'm in the area for sure! Thanks!

One of the worst interactions I have ever encountered at a hotel. I stayed for five nights, I called the evening of the fourth night to extend an additional night, telling the nice gentleman that I would pay in the morning for the additional night, When I arrived the insolent clerk said that they were fully booked and it did not matter what the man told me, without money I had no room. I had to plead with her to check the records. She finally located my reservation and gave me an evil death stare, no apology, nothing. I mentioned that I had twice told them that there was no light in the bathroom, to no avail and that she had the worst attitude I had ever encountered. She continued to try to use some Vulcan death gaze but I left. Rest of the people working there were fine but this girl had definite issues.

The Sandpiper Lodge exceeded my expectations. The rooms are big and clean and comfortable and it was quieter than I would've thought, considering it was fully booked. Sean the manager was a true gentleman and he gave me many tips and helped me out by booking other nights I had not considered. It's within walking distance of many convenient places, and the bus stop is pratically in front.

Homeless people around property. Sheriffs came to hotel due to some guy on site. Staff was not very friendly and more concerned with security than hospitality. Room was fine. A little noisy. Clean and adequate. Bed was a little soft and pillows flat and hard. But for the price, it was adequate.

Older hotel. The room was nice but carpet needs replaced. It was hard to get into the hotel parking lot but we never had an issue parking. Breakfast is continental so very basic.

Older hotel. The room was nice but carpet needs replaced. It was hard to get into the hotel parking lot but we never had an issue parking. Breakfast is continental so very basic.

Had a really great stay. Good breakfast, no eggs but good breakfast with OJ, apple juice, variety of cereals, bagels, toast, croissants with option of cheese or jams, oatmeal. Parking available. Hotel was close to things. Really great hot tub and nice pool! Overall good stay.

The rooms needed to be repainted, mold in the shower, mold was separating from the trim workin the shower area. Stains in the floor. My son’s room looked like the door was kicked in and repaired with wood super glue. The price for staying there was ridiculous. I wouldn’t recommend this place to my worst enemy. I’ve stayed in bad places but this place takes the cake!

This is a lovely throwback to the motels of old. Friendly and helpful desk staff. The rooms are very clean. The bed, well, I have slept in worse. It could stand updating. The amenities leave a bit to be desired - "conditioning shampp" is just no where as good and shampoo and conditioner. The towels are a little skimpy. The breakfast was, adequate. Some hard boiled eggs to provide a bit more protein would be good. Or maybe even peanut butter for the breads/ They had plenty of apples both days, and some very green bananas the first day - none the second day.
