The hotel is situated across the street from a sketchy park. The building itself has a mildew smell to it and I didn’t like that I had to exit my vehicle to open the gate to enter. That part didn’t feel safe. There is no security or staff on site.

This is a small property with gated parking. It is located just about 2 blocks or so from the beach. You have to check in at a different (sister) hotel, which was strange, but it was a 2 minute drive to the Palmoro. The room was surprisingly nice, although the hallway carpeting and decor were very out of date. That could use a refresh. If you have an EV, there is a destination charger at the Mar Monte (the hotel you have to check in to).

The room is nice enough, but it was inconvenient to be away from the hotel amenities. Also, the parking lot was really tight… if you have a large vehicle or aren’t a confident driver, I’d stay far away.

We spent one night at the Palmoro house. The lights in the bathroom and sink area went out Sunday afternoon, and we called the front desk. They did not answer, and did not respond to the vm. We walked to the front desk at Mar Monte because we could not get the golf cart to get us. The lights came back on, but the next morning the lights went out again. Also, you can only watch the TV if you cast from your own device but the WiFi was too weak to successfully watch. The staff was great but stretched too thin. We did like access to the amenities at Mar Monte, but to get out of Palmoro house parking you had to get out of your car to press a button too far from the car. However the price was right, and the location close to the beach is excellent.

We got 1 room with 2 beds and they gave us 1 bed that pull out from wall which was very bad an very low, spiders over the place in 30 minutes in that room I killed 2 spiders, floor was with cheap laminate feels like not a hotel room at all, thankfully they changed our room for better but still only with 1 bed in bring one roll over bed, it was better than nothing, but it wasn’t a good rest night as we planned on vacation of Easter weekend check with staff before you came in to this hotel, looks like its common issues with getting wrong rooms here after I checked the reviews from other people, not worth of money if you have to go through this

Charming and stylish property with excellent service! The only thing was bathroom in our unit smelled from the moment we walked in. I’m thinking there may be a sewage back up but the rest of the unit was adorable and the staff was EXCELLENT

Very pleasantly surprised with our stay at the Palmoro House. A little quirky check in as the Palmoro House is about a block away from the check in location, Mar Monte Hotel. The staff was amazing, especially Danielle and Sean. The room was not huge but very nice. The bed was very super comfortable. Bathrooms have been tastefully remodeled! I would definitely stay there again and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to my family and friends!

The room was not great for the price. The halls in the hotel were dark, narrow and smelled of cigarette smoke. Tissue paper thin walls. It’s not up to the standard I would expect for a Mar Monte property

The guest room which I stayed wasn't ready for commercial, because there was a construction in the doorway outside the room, until 9pm the noise of construction still there. The hotel commercial advertising says "hotel room facing to the sea" this is not true at the Palmoro House, there are facing to the train track and with a huge noise when the pass away in the evening. The main lobby and check in desk located on the main property of Mar Monte, not at the address that the hotel sent to the guest by "1111 E Cabrillo Blvd", it was so complicated and inconvenience.

Unfortunately the bath shower was broken and the vanity sink was clogged. We couldn’t take a shower. We were calling to front desk several times with no luck. We were asking for a compensation but they told us, they couldn’t adjust the rate because our reservation was made by Expedia. They waiver us $30 for the resort fees. Thank you Vanessa

The property is conveniently located near the beach and is not far from downtown and the funk zone. It's also close to the Mar Monte hotel offering the fitness, pool, restaurant and morning coffee amenities. Our room was next to the front entry and elevator in the building. This created some extra noise. I slept with earplugs on the second night and this helped to remedy the situation.

The room was very big (king size) and clean. When we tried to brew coffee the machine would not heat up. There is a park across the street and noticed a lot of homeless and RV’s parked good thing we had a gated fence on the property.

I didn’t realize when booking online that this was a sister property to Mar Monte Hotel. To check in you have to go to the Mar Monte front desk at the main location. The room was clean but we did find 3 spiders in the room. The tv was a like tricky to set up. You have to mirror your phone onto the tv and watch a program through an app you have downloaded. No local channels

I made a confirmed reservation through Hotels.com and received an official confirmation letter directly from this hotel. Upon arrival, the front desk staff claimed they could not locate my reservation and, shockingly, never even asked for my name. I presented my confirmation number and documentation, yet they falsely stated they could not find it and refused to provide any assistance, citing that the hotel was at full capacity. The staff demonstrated a complete lack of professionalism, empathy, and integrity. It was evident they did not even attempt to verify the confirmation number. As a paying guest with valid proof of reservation, I was left without accommodations through no fault of my own. Due to their negligence and dishonest handling of the situation, I am in the process of pursuing this matter through the proper legal and consumer protection channels. I strongly advise others to avoid this establishment entirely.

Danielle the manager and Holden the manager of valet went above and beyond to make us feel special. They were so kind the entire stay and the rooms and hotel itself were beautiful.

We came for a family wedding. I knew ahead of time it was a separate property to the main hotel, Mar Monte. Staff was friendly when we checked in and we were able to arrange a slightly later check out. However, our room did not get cleaned the first day - even though we saw the staff in the hallway and left for several hours. We thought maybe they weren't washing the towels as an eco-friendly practice but there was no info. about this and NO HOOKS to hang our towels. We had to call to get someone to bring new towels - he came quickly but it was frustrating for what we were paying. We paid extra for our two older children (I didn't realize when I made the reservation). The location was very good for our events and I made a point to use the pool as much as I could as it's the best amenity. But, I do think this property is over-priced and service should be much better!

The hotel is situated across the street from a sketchy park. The building itself has a mildew smell to it and I didn’t like that I had to exit my vehicle to open the gate to enter. That part didn’t feel safe. There is no security or staff on site.

Palmoro house is beautiful and dog friendly. 2 minute walk to the zoo and the Costa restaurant is fantastic. Its relatively easy to find street parking if you don't want to pay to park on property. Its a beautiful location to walk along the beach in the mornings. Very safe and peaceful.

The Palmoro house was a easily accessible sister property to the Mar Monte hotel right on the coast in Santa Barbara. The location was perfect for going to the beach, accessing the Funk Zone and downtown was just a 5 minute drive. Our stay was great and I would recommend staying again, but my only qualm was they charged us a higher rate than hotels.com quoted and I had to call multiple times to get someone to take action on my refund.

We spent one night at the Palmoro house. The lights in the bathroom and sink area went out Sunday afternoon, and we called the front desk. They did not answer, and did not respond to the vm. We walked to the front desk at Mar Monte because we could not get the golf cart to get us. The lights came back on, but the next morning the lights went out again. Also, you can only watch the TV if you cast from your own device but the WiFi was too weak to successfully watch. The staff was great but stretched too thin. We did like access to the amenities at Mar Monte, but to get out of Palmoro house parking you had to get out of your car to press a button too far from the car. However the price was right, and the location close to the beach is excellent.

The neighborhood is not good. We witnessed a man shaving n his car. We had to park at a paid parking lot because we did not trust the area Very litttlw cell phone reception in the area too. The property is conveniently located near the beach and is not far from downtown and the funk zone. It's also close to the Mar Monte hotel offering the fitness, pool, restaurant and morning coffee amenities. Our room was next to the front entry and elevator in the building. This created some extra noise. I slept with earplugs on the second night and this helped to remedy the situation.

The room was very big (king size) and clean. When we tried to brew coffee the machine would not heat up. There is a park across the street and noticed a lot of homeless and RV’s parked good thing we had a gated fence on the property.

We were not expecting to stay in a separate area than the main hotel. I paid a lot of money only to be on a back alley street by a park where homeless people smashed bottles and threw up by my car. It wasn’t a very safe feeling. When we got to the room the fridge was cold and the toilet paper holder was broken. The shower didn’t have any pressure and tub didn’t drain. We paid for a king and got two twins, maybe they were queens but it was not what we reserved. I wouldn’t ever stay here again. What a waste of money for the worst accommodations. Do better.

Having access to the main hotel and restaurants was ideal. The Palmoro house itself was clean however we easily heard guests in other rooms and the ac unit struggled to keep unit cool.

Fantastic stay as the upgraded us to the main hotel the Mar Monte, the room was clean, quiet, the staff was super nice. We got almond milk lattes and fresh fruit from the cafe and it was a breeze to stay there.

We had a fantastic stay here! This hotel is perfect quiet boutique stay, that felt nice without being too expensive. Staff was so helpful and rooms were lovely and clean! We definitely want to stay here again when we are back

This hotel is decent, the rooms are really small but the bed is comfortable. The only thing was the parking lot was very tight and a little tricky to fit an suv when there was lots of cars parked.

It is very bizarre to have the Palmoro House building so far away yet associated with the Mar Monte Hotel. Room was great and fine, just very odd to have the association between the two hotels. If you don't mind the distance from the check in building then this will work for you. The parking lot for Palmoro is incredibly hard to navigate when there are many SUVs in it. It seems like one row of parking should be eliminated, as we watched a few close calls from our balcony. Otherwise we did enjoy our stay here.
