Great hotel with large suites. Only drawback is poor descriptions of suite types. We would have liked a room with a view, but were at the back of the hotel and the small balcony was facing the apartment building behind. Its a converted apartment building with room access from an open courtyard with central pool. As all rooms are slightly different, they don't all have desks, so I ended up working on laptop balanced on a pile of books because no rooms with desks available. Annoying for a business trip. Operated by Hilton, which I didn't notice mentioned on hotels dot com site. The two queen bed rooms are apparently very small compared to all others.

This is our second time staying at Oceana. We have loved staying here both times. This is probably the best hotel to stay at when one is in Santa Monica. They have amazing service, spacious and clean suites, an onsite restaurant and bar that is very good, and a rooftop bar that has beautiful views of the ocean and where we enjoyed sunsets with good cocktails.

This is my West Coast Living room over Santa Monica Beach. I absolutely love Oceana. The outdoor dining, the pool, rhe fire fearures, the water with strawberries, the suites are gorgeous, the food and service are top notch. Lenny and whole team are magical, so good. Be back soon!

My only complaints are: There was what appeared to be some sort of vomit or maybe food on the rug in our room. The rugs/carpet in general could use a cleaning or replacing. The pool could be open a bit longer. It closes at sunset. They also need a blender to make blended drinks! The staff is amazing. They are polite, professional, friendly, and eager to make your stay as comfortable as possible. From the concierge, valet, kitchen staff, and cleaning crew to the bartender and spa staff. They truly make your stay top notch. The rooms are beautiful and spacious. The resort is very close to the ocean, though the photos are a bit misleading since they make it look like you just go out the door onto the beach. It’s about a mile walk to get there. The massage therapist was amazing. They bring everything to your room and tailor the massage to your preferences. The deep tissue massage was exactly what I needed. I would definitely stay again!

Oceana was the perfect hotel to spend on the last leg of my trip in LA. We relaxed by the pool and walked along the beach. It's quiet and the rooms are very spacious. The design is very pleasing to the eye. Everyone was friendly and professional - special thanks to Hakeem, Leonard, and Daniel. We will be back.

What an incredible hotel and location! Just wow. That's all I can say about this one. Amazing hotel, staff was second to none, everyone was so helpful and polite, room service was great, valet was quick. Everything, 10/5 stars!

Arriving, I struggled to get my luggage up the steep stairs & was surprised that the guy at the top, who was standing there watching me, didn't offer to help. He opened the door & that was the extent of it. I was told my room would be ready in less than an hour so when an hour came & went I checked in again at the front desk and the young man immediately said it wasn't ready yet. I then decided to sit in the lobby instead of out by the pool, and within a minute, the room magically became ready. Overall the rooms are nice and huge and Laura was great at resolving an issue with an employee looking into my window. It would have been nice to have someone mention the ipad turned off all the lights, I fumbled around way too long looking for switches that didn't exisit. I was surprised at how many kids were playing in the pool morning noon & night considering it felt like a more adult/boutique vibe hotel. I didn't feel like I could swim and relax. The breakfast cost is very high, and the eggs in my omelet were overcooked. It came with a side of bacon, but instead, the chef put it in my omelet, and it was chewy. The sweet paprika overwhelmed the side of potatoes so overall I ate about 3 bites and left the rest. $68 later after a $12 cup of coffee & tip I came away vowing never to eat there again. Upon departure, I again wrestled my luggage downstairs by the pool as an employee who had a vacuum in the walkway didn't offer to help. Overall, I'd say the service was poor for the price.

Our experience at the hotel was great! Mini romantic getaway. The staff was awesome! Kind and genuine. Everything was almost perfect, except for: 1. Not receiving the room I had reserved. After the valet guy helped us move in our belongings, he noticed there was no iPad for controlling of the lights (not a big issue). But after following up for us, they then offered us another room that had an iPad and happened to be exactly the room we had been anticipating. I was about to talk to the front desk when this opportunity came up, so, it worked out on it's own. 2. One of the chairs by the "mini library" was dirty; crumbs in the crevices. And the rug was pretty stained by the main table in the living room. 3. We found two spiders in our stay. One which bit my partner. I mean, insects are insects, but it was a surprise to find two. One we could ignore, but two, we were like, "alrighttt what's going on here" 4. We asked for ice at night around 1030-11pm. I first asked if there was an ice machine. They said no, but that they could send some ice up from the restaurant. Time passed and no ice ever showed up. We can surpass that but there was no other way to cool down some water or drinks considering their mini fridges are only for their resaled beverages. Overall, it was a nice getaway.

The entire hotel looks beautiful. However, the room looks like the carpet and rugs need to be shampooed...but the rooms was AWESOME! The staff were great, we would definitely come back.

It was very loud at the hotel. The walls seem paper thin. Because the rooms are centered around the pool and the restaurant, it is very noisy in the rooms, even at 7am. It would also help to have blackout shades in the room. It was hard to get a good night's sleep there.

We would have liked a room with a view, but were at the back of the hotel and the small balcony was facing the apartment building behind. Its a converted apartment building with room access from an open courtyard with central pool. As all rooms are slightly different, they don't all have desks, so I ended up working on laptop balanced on a pile of books because no rooms with desks available. Annoying for a business trip. Operated by Hilton, which I didn't notice mentioned on hotels dot com site. The two queen bed rooms are apparently very small compared to all others.

While indeed the property was beautiful however there are no handicapped accessibility’s. I phoned the property several times to be sure it could accommodate our 23 year old daughter I. Wheelchair. Her only way in and out of hotel was elevator thru basement parking garage in basement and the incline was so steep she couldn’t even propel herself. Also upon checking while all pre booked and quoted the final price we were charged an additional $2300.00. We stayed a week. I do realize the property was being remodeled however had they told me we would have looked elsewhere. And there was the morning at 11:00 and we were trapped on 3rd floors more than 3 hours with no way to get our daughter down as they were repairing the one elevator. Oh but during the elevator repair wait they did send food for us at no charge but we were trapped and if a fire had came we were trapped so for this reason alone putting our daughters life at risk for a week without any handicap ramps or entryways absolutely horrid and should be illegal. my rating is not good! Not handicap friendly and they don’t say the truth upon booking as I called them several times before I booked. The room also was absolutely not soundproof the first two morning we were waken next to our room construction at 7:00 am.for over ten thousand dollars this was definitely not what we were looking for. It took us 2 days to drive for this disappointment and they even charged vallet for such substandard handicap parking

Fantastic rooms, interior design is beautiful and so spacious saying in a Lanai suite. Location across from Santa Monica beach made it a nice stopover from LAX for 24 hours to freshen up before flying back to Australia. Only thing I would suggest is they include breakfast and some mini bar items until he rate as the room rate is high and those touches would add to the experience.

My only complaints are: There was what appeared to be some sort of vomit or maybe food on the rug in our room. The rugs/carpet in general could use a cleaning or replacing. The pool could be open a bit longer. It closes at sunset. They also need a blender to make blended drinks! The staff is amazing. They are polite, professional, friendly, and eager to make your stay as comfortable as possible. From the concierge, valet, kitchen staff, and cleaning crew to the bartender and spa staff. They truly make your stay top notch. The rooms are beautiful and spacious. The resort is very close to the ocean, though the photos are a bit misleading since they make it look like you just go out the door onto the beach. It’s about a mile walk to get there. The massage therapist was amazing. They bring everything to your room and tailor the massage to your preferences. The deep tissue massage was exactly what I needed. I would definitely stay again!

Leider konnte man vom Bett aus das Hauptlicht nicht ausmachen - es gab nicht einmal eine Leselampe am Bett! Oceana was the perfect hotel to spend on the last leg of my trip in LA. We relaxed by the pool and walked along the beach. It's quiet and the rooms are very spacious. The design is very pleasing to the eye. Everyone was friendly and professional - special thanks to Hakeem, Leonard, and Daniel. We will be back.

This is my West Coast Living room over Santa Monica Beach. I absolutely love Oceana. The outdoor dining, the pool, rhe fire fearures, the water with strawberries, the suites are gorgeous, the food and service are top notch. Lenny and whole team are magical, so good. Be back soon!

Was a unique property, great quiet location, good food, and amazing staff. Lenny and the welcoming crew, the front desk, and the restaurant staff were just genuinely kind, helpful and willing to go above and beyond for anything we needed. Ultimately the staff is what stood out the most for us.

Our experience at the hotel was great! Mini romantic getaway. The staff was awesome! Kind and genuine. Everything was almost perfect, except for: 1. Not receiving the room I had reserved. After the valet guy helped us move in our belongings, he noticed there was no iPad for controlling of the lights (not a big issue). But after following up for us, they then offered us another room that had an iPad and happened to be exactly the room we had been anticipating. I was about to talk to the front desk when this opportunity came up, so, it worked out on it's own. 2. One of the chairs by the "mini library" was dirty; crumbs in the crevices. And the rug was pretty stained by the main table in the living room. 3. We found two spiders in our stay. One which bit my partner. I mean, insects are insects, but it was a surprise to find two. One we could ignore, but two, we were like, "alrighttt what's going on here" 4. We asked for ice at night around 1030-11pm. I first asked if there was an ice machine. They said no, but that they could send some ice up from the restaurant. Time passed and no ice ever showed up. We can surpass that but there was no other way to cool down some water or drinks considering their mini fridges are only for their resaled beverages. Overall, it was a nice getaway.

I recently stayed at this hotel and was truly impressed by the staff — everyone was attentive, kind, and went above and beyond to make my stay comfortable. Their service and attitude were definitely the highlight of my experience. However, I was disappointed with the room maintenance. The toilet was not functioning properly, and the phone in the room didn’t work, which made it difficult to contact the front desk. These issues took away from what could have been a perfect stay. Overall, the staff made a great impression, but the hotel needs to improve its maintenance and ensure that all facilities are in proper working order. With a few fixes, this place could easily become an excellent choice

Arriving, I struggled to get my luggage up the steep stairs & was surprised that the guy at the top, who was standing there watching me, didn't offer to help. He opened the door & that was the extent of it. I was told my room would be ready in less than an hour so when an hour came & went I checked in again at the front desk and the young man immediately said it wasn't ready yet. I then decided to sit in the lobby instead of out by the pool, and within a minute, the room magically became ready. Overall the rooms are nice and huge and Laura was great at resolving an issue with an employee looking into my window. It would have been nice to have someone mention the ipad turned off all the lights, I fumbled around way too long looking for switches that didn't exisit. I was surprised at how many kids were playing in the pool morning noon & night considering it felt like a more adult/boutique vibe hotel. I didn't feel like I could swim and relax. The breakfast cost is very high, and the eggs in my omelet were overcooked. It came with a side of bacon, but instead, the chef put it in my omelet, and it was chewy. The sweet paprika overwhelmed the side of potatoes so overall I ate about 3 bites and left the rest. $68 later after a $12 cup of coffee & tip I came away vowing never to eat there again. Upon departure, I again wrestled my luggage downstairs by the pool as an employee who had a vacuum in the walkway didn't offer to help. Overall, I'd say the service was poor for the price.

The Oceana is an oasis within the LA oasis that is Santa Monica. It is a retreat just far enough the hustle and bustle of downtown that you can escape or join in at will. Second time back and only more to come.

This is our second time staying at Oceana. We have loved staying here both times. This is probably the best hotel to stay at when one is in Santa Monica. They have amazing service, spacious and clean suites, an onsite restaurant and bar that is very good, and a rooftop bar that has beautiful views of the ocean and where we enjoyed sunsets with good cocktails.

We have stayed at this property multiple times and it keeps getting better and better. Its beautifully decorated in both the rooms and the common areas and the staff is very accomodating. And their new restaurant is SO gorgeous !!

Hotel bello ma i servizi reclamizzati non ci sono. Nn c'è la Spa ma solo una stanza x massaggi. Solo un piccolo ristorante e uno pseudo bar con orari certosini . Peccato

What an incredible hotel and location! Just wow. That's all I can say about this one. Amazing hotel, staff was second to none, everyone was so helpful and polite, room service was great, valet was quick. Everything, 10/5 stars!

Arriving, I struggled to get my luggage up the steep stairs & was surprised that the guy at the top, who was standing there watching me, didn't offer to help. He opened the door & that was the extent of it. I was told my room would be ready in less than an hour so when an hour came & went I checked in again at the front desk and the young man immediately said it wasn't ready yet. I then decided to sit in the lobby instead of out by the pool, and within a minute, the room magically became ready. Overall the rooms are nice and huge and Laura was great at resolving an issue with an employee looking into my window. It would have been nice to have someone mention the ipad turned off all the lights, I fumbled around way too long looking for switches that didn't exisit. I was surprised at how many kids were playing in the pool morning noon & night considering it felt like a more adult/boutique vibe hotel. I didn't feel like I could swim and relax. The breakfast cost is very high, and the eggs in my omelet were overcooked. It came with a side of bacon, but instead, the chef put it in my omelet, and it was chewy. The sweet paprika overwhelmed the side of potatoes so overall I ate about 3 bites and left the rest. $68 later after a $12 cup of coffee & tip I came away vowing never to eat there again. Upon departure, I again wrestled my luggage downstairs by the pool as an employee who had a vacuum in the walkway didn't offer to help. Overall, I'd say the service was poor for the price.

Everything about my visit was nothing short of amazing. The staff tended to our every need which made us feel at home. Staying resilient was the name of the game for the staff. The short time me and my wife were together at this establishment turned into a vacation worth coming back to.

This hotel exceeded expectations. The room was incredibly spacious with high quality linens and bedding. They cleaned the room daily as well. I almost want to keep this place a secret because is such a great value for the quality. I would compare it to a Four Seasons when it comes to quality and level of service. We will absolutely be back. Thanks to Orbitz for helping us find it!

The room was beautiful! Spacious & comfortable. I LOVE the soft, plush carpet :) We had in room dining from the restaurant & the food was delicious! Service from all the staff was superb - everyone was kind & helpful. Can't beat the location overlooking the Pacific Ocean & just a short walk down to the beach or the Santa Monica Pier. I highly recommend this hotel!!
