The Inn is quaint, but not a four star/diamond place to stay and is very overpriced. As others have shared, it sits right along hwy101 so it is so loud it’s not worth having your slider or even your blinds open- you won’t hear the ocean anyway, and because the deck is essentially a shared deck divided by railing it’s extremely not private. The room furnishings and decor are a little outdated and worn, the tub jets were filthy, and the bed was absolutely awful (so so saggy). We did not sleep well at all. The staff is friendly but the lobby and breakfast area are very small, and the food served is Holiday Inn quality (think yogurt hard potatoes, and precut cheese cubes from Safeway ). Their “spa” is not a spa, but a room they have two massage tables in downstairs. There isn’t even a check in desk. Our very expensive “spa” services were very mediocre and not relaxing- the therapists talked to each other much of the time and my facial was in the same space as my partner’s massage. We absolutely wouldn’t stay here again, but we would, though, visit the Stonehouse for dinner again- WOW.

The Inn at Summer Hill is a quaint little hotel with lots of charm in the city of Summerland. I stayed here while visiting my niece and I would definitely stay here again. The room was like a little cottage, and it had a patio that overlooked the ocean. The staff at the front desk was amazing and went out of their way to comp me breakfast and coffee. I felt very safe as well. The only negatives are the Road Noise and nearby train and there doesn't seem to be a daily cleaning service-if so, they missed my room.

Cleanliness, attention to detail, very comfy bed. Staff was very friendly and helpful and breakfast was delicious! Loved that the chef came out to chat and check to make sure to e food was yummy.

I was very impressed by the friendly service, cleanliness and overall vibe of the place. I had only one issue and it was the sound of the traffic. Unfortunately, the cars went by all night and it was during the week. If your not looking for quiet then it is a lovely little gem.

We ended up here for a last minute staycation for our anniversary. Beautiful room, beautiful view. Friendly staff. Got upgraded to a breakfast and happy hour which you usually only get booking direct. My only complaint and it’s kind of a big one is our shower didn’t work…at all. Didn’t realize until late at night so didn’t want to bother staff. We let them know at check out and they said they would have someone look into it, but I was disappointed that there was no discount offered due to this. For almost $500 I expected to be able to take a shower. This is a lot of $$ for us and definitely a splurge, so it’s a bit disappointing. But that aside it was the perfect getaway.

It’s right by the freeway and loud. Early check in and check out is $25 per hour extra. Even though their website says breakfast is included, it’s not. They did not even want to give us the free coffee in the lobby saying we booked through a third party. We booked through Expedia and it was not cheap at all. For $350 a night, this was not what I expected. Hotel is clean and the room was nice. And the area is also nice.

We had a wonderful stay here. The room was cute and clean and more than anything the staff was incredibly helpful and friendly. We loved waking up in the morning and seeing the dolphins playing in the water. Close proximity to Montecito and Santa Barara was also a huge plus for us. Highly recommend.

Great location within walking distance to some good food and stores. Only problem was when someone decided to take a bath at midnight. Very loud plumbing. Definitely it drowned out the freeway noise.

The only negative at the hotel is that it is directly next to Highway 101. We had difficulty sleeping because of the traffic noise. Other than that, it was a nice hotel.

Room was great. Romantic feeling and cozy. The only real issue I can imagine is it being right next to a freeway. Inside the room it didn't matter so much, but it's quite noisy on the balcony. Overall, great room though. Close to Santa Barbara (<10 minutes drive) and Summerland is a cute town to explore.

The room was cozy with a nice bed and fireplace. The ocean view balcony is big and has a great view but the traffic on the freeway kind of spoils the experience. It’s too bad the traffic noise is so loud but the hotel is cute and cozy

We had a wonderful stay at this lovely little inn. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the room was full of thoughtful touches—including a sound machine, which we set to ocean waves. It completely drowned out any highway noise, making for a peaceful night’s sleep. We’ll absolutely be back!

Super cute little Inn! We absolutely loved our short stay! The road noise was horrible, I feel terrible for this tiny town. The staff was less than friendly but interaction was minimal.

Fabulous stay! Chris checked us in and was fantastic. Made us feel welcome, told us about all of the amenities (free cheese and wine hour, dessert hour, etc). We arrived a little early for check in. Our room was ready. Such a cute and lovely place to stay. Great location. Will definitely stay again!

Excellent customer service, easy check-in/out, and great location. Ask for a room away from the street for less noise. Fine overall, but as is typical in the area, quite expensive for a somewhat standard room lacking in luxury.

Nora assisted me by phone and greeted me upon arrival - introducing herself, which was most welcoming! I arrived early and she still quickly showed me to my beautiful room overlooking the ocean. Great location on Lillie Ave within walking distance to breakfast and lunch eateries. Great trendy shopping and fabulous bookstore all nearby. Be aware the hotel is near the freeway and rail tracks, as is all of Summerland, so it can be noisy if you leave the window open.

Cute, clean and convenient to Santa Barbara. Walking distance to some really nice shops. We walked each day to the Red Kettle Coffee which was great and dinner at The Nugget which was also nice. Overall, nice place however as others stated it’s right on highway so be prepared for that. noise didn’t bother us, they provide sound machine and earplugs if you need them

Room was great. Romantic feeling and cozy. The only real issue I can imagine is it being right next to a freeway. Inside the room it didn't matter so much, but it's quite noisy on the balcony. Overall, great room though. Close to Santa Barbara (<10 minutes drive) and Summerland is a cute town to explore.

Our second stay at this fabulous property. A lovely upscale place just off the 101, perfect when traveling but would love to spend a little time there. Close to Santa Barbara and Ventura with a lovely little town down the street with shops, coffee and a great restaurant. A must stay!

The room was cozy with a nice bed and fireplace. The ocean view balcony is big and has a great view but the traffic on the freeway kind of spoils the experience. It’s too bad the traffic noise is so loud but the hotel is cute and cozy

Excellent customer service, easy check-in/out, and great location. Ask for a room away from the street for less noise. Fine overall, but as is typical in the area, quite expensive for a somewhat standard room lacking in luxury.

We had a wonderful stay here. The room was cute and clean and more than anything the staff was incredibly helpful and friendly. We loved waking up in the morning and seeing the dolphins playing in the water. Close proximity to Montecito and Santa Barara was also a huge plus for us. Highly recommend.

Beautiful inn. The view of the ocean was stunning, the staff was friendly, the kitchen served an excellent breakfast and snacks, and overall we had a great time there. Amazingly comfortable bed!

Beautiful ocean view and walk to gorgeous beach with sea lions and dolphins and cliffs and birds. Very few people walking dogs. A few miles long and great for a run. Rooms beautiful and no issue with noise. Continental breakfast was delicious especially the bacon and eating outside. Will definitely stay there again!!

Cleanliness, attention to detail, very comfy bed. Staff was very friendly and helpful and breakfast was delicious! Loved that the chef came out to chat and check to make sure to e food was yummy.

Our stay was very pleasant. Checking in was simple and nearly complete when we arrived. Just a few signatures and it was done. The complimentary afternoon snacks were perfect appetizer prior to going to dinner. I do miss the small puff pastry they used to have for snacks but that is splitting hairs. The room was clean and quiet. The music playing on entry was a nice touch. The continental breakfast was good and the chef was nice and helpful. I would recommend staying here.

Fabulous stay! Chris checked us in and was fantastic. Made us feel welcome, told us about all of the amenities (free cheese and wine hour, dessert hour, etc). We arrived a little early for check in. Our room was ready. Such a cute and lovely place to stay. Great location. Will definitely stay again!

We ended up here for a last minute staycation for our anniversary. Beautiful room, beautiful view. Friendly staff. Got upgraded to a breakfast and happy hour which you usually only get booking direct. My only complaint and it’s kind of a big one is our shower didn’t work…at all. Didn’t realize until late at night so didn’t want to bother staff. We let them know at check out and they said they would have someone look into it, but I was disappointed that there was no discount offered due to this. For almost $500 I expected to be able to take a shower. This is a lot of $$ for us and definitely a splurge, so it’s a bit disappointing. But that aside it was the perfect getaway.

All the staff are wonderful. The Jacuzzi is nice and clean close to the beach close to all the restaurants. I stayed for a week and I am coming back. Wanna think William for his helpfulness when the power went out from Carpenteria to Santa Barbara set everybody up with lamps and accommodated everybody the best they could and everything went really smooth. I’ll be back. I love everybody there any accommodations are beautiful..

We loved this place it was small and our room was cute and very clean. It’s just a bit loud from the freeway noise, but they are aware and I was happy to find a noise reduction machine on the table so you could help drown out the freeway noise with ocean or rain sounds. They also provide ear plugs. We got used to the noise and it really wasn’t a problem. We will stay there again. There are great shops and a cozy restaurant nearby.
