The only reason I didn't give this property a 5 star rating was because of the pool. It was greenish and there was a lot of build-up on the bottom. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and the bed was comfortable

Friendly welcome and great base to explore Sequoia NP. Decent size rooms all set in 'cottages' sourrounding the pool. Great to take dip in the pool given the hot weather but it could be kept a bit cleaner. Plenty of dining options near by and overall a great place to stay. Thank you to the staff for looking after us

My husband and I loved staying here during our first visit to Sequoia National Park. The manager was very helpful with providing a map of the town and a list of restaurants sorted by distance to the motel. This is a really nice, family friendly motel with farm animals, a pool, a playground, and a library of movies to rent. I only marked down one star because the TV in our room seemed to buffer a lot, but that could just be due to the mountain location. Really not a big deal though. The location is very conveniently close to the park and many local restaurants and shops. We definitely plan to return here when we have our own family of little ones to entertain!

This property was so cute. It was quiet and the parking was convenient. The room was very clean, updated and the staff was very friendly and helpful. It had a nice pool with a volleyball net and a swing set. There is even river access. We will be staying here again!

"Room" we stayed wasn\'t only a room, it was practically it\'s own little cottage, which made the stay feel so much better. Front desk attendant was so nice! They easily accommodated us for our late check-in. And they have small gifts available for purchase. Easy walk to the river that flows right behind the property. And a short drive to Sequoia Nat\'l park entrance. Would definitely stay here again.

Overall the property was really cute. The staff was helpful. The only issue was that we came across 3 spiders in the room. 2 were in the linens on the bed. 1 in the bathroom.

This is a very cute and family friendly property. The units themselves are average, bed was decent. Good to have a table and chairs to sit at. Laundry facilities are available and that is a plus. We had some issues with scents in the room. We got there in time to ask for a fan to help vent the room and that helped but didn't remove all of it. Most people do not have issues with scents as my husband does but this room was too strong for him. Staff was friendly and helpful.

We loved this property. It was a lovely spot. The room was comfortable & the A/C worked well. It was nice to visit the goats & sheep in the morning. The only thing we didn’t like was the overly fragrant cleaning supplies & the room was full of stinky fake fragrance. We prefer non toxic fragrance free cleaning products.

I loved everything about this place! The property was decked out for Halloween, so fun. If we had had more time, I would have loved to use the pool, as it was very hot on our arrival. Our room was almost too clean -- the smell of cleaning products was overpowering when we entered the cabin, so we opened all the windows and turned on the fan to air it out. Highly recommend!

We had booked this as a one night stay during a week long roadtrip. We had been camping in Northern California the night before. After a quick check in and dinner, we came back to what we thought was a clean room. Instead, there were gnats all over the bathroom wall, beetles in the shower and sink, and then we found a spider in the bed. After getting rid of that one, and pulling back another pillow, there was second (smaller) spider. Unfortunately the staff was gone for the evening and we called to see if something could be done - no one picked up since they leave at 9. We ended up leaving since we didn’t feel comfortable staying the night and rather drive to our next destination early. I’m disappointed I ended up experiencing more bugs in this room than when I was sleeping in my tent.

Was told there was a scheduled outage from 10pm till 5am. By 7am still nothing, come to find out that no other businesses in the area were affected. Room smelled, was obviously too hot to sleep, bed squeaked and kept the springs were poking through. My recommendation is to stay somewhere else.

This was our second stay in this property, and it was an amazing experience. Ours was corner room and it was perfect with a kind of our personal space in the front. Only small concern was the very weak internet due to the location of the room. I would recommend placing wifi extender.

It's a great solution to get away from the fireworks with your dog. Staff was nice. There were some stains on the comforter and I had a lot of trouble trying to get cold water from the sink faucet. There was also only one channel on the television. But they did have a DVD player. The deadbolt didn't lock on the door. Other than that it was good.

Very clean. yes it is a bit dated but i thought it was great. TV, AC, Wi-fi all worked well. pool was nice. rover was nice. nearby coffee and restaurants all good. i would have no hesitation staying there again.

Just stayed for one evening before visiting Sequoia National Park. Room was clean, comfortable, and quiet. Check in was easy. Staff was great. Had dinner at the River View Bar & Grill. Hamburger was excellent! Had breakfast the following morning on the way to the park at the Gateway Restaurant (along the river) and it was excellent as well. If staying in Three Rivers, the Lazy J would be the place to stay!

Classic old-style motel set just off the river. Reminded me of being a kid. Rooms are NOT fancy, but are well maintained and clean. Management was very friendly and responsive to a [very] minor issue with out room. NOTE: becasue of staffing (as of 1 June 2023) office isn't open for checking until 3:00. Plan your arrival accordingly.

This property is absolutely wonderful. Quiet setting with great views as well as a few farm animals and more hummingbirds than we have ever seen at one time. Amenities exceed most high end hotels. Jackie was super friendly and so helpful. This place is a must!

We were greeted warmly at check in by the young woman behind the desk and the resident cat. The Lazy J is a quirky multi-unit place perfectly located to the entrance to Sequoia National Park. Our room was comfortable and very quiet. Just what we needed after a long day of travel. I would definitely stay again!

We had booked this as a one night stay during a week long roadtrip. We had been camping in Northern California the night before. After a quick check in and dinner, we came back to what we thought was a clean room. Instead, there were gnats all over the bathroom wall, beetles in the shower and sink, and then we found a spider in the bed. After getting rid of that one, and pulling back another pillow, there was second (smaller) spider. Unfortunately the staff was gone for the evening and we called to see if something could be done - no one picked up since they leave at 9. We ended up leaving since we didn’t feel comfortable staying the night and rather drive to our next destination early. I’m disappointed I ended up experiencing more bugs in this room than when I was sleeping in my tent.

Great location near Sequoia National Park. It's a motel, so don't go expecting great beds or fancy amenities. But for a motel, this was by far the cleanest and nicest I've seen. Some older items, but still had hot water, wifi, good service, free parking, etc.

The place was close to the Sequoia National Park. Very friendly at reception and sure enough as stated in other reviews we were greeted by two lovely ladies at reception with their cat sitting on the printer. Rooms were basic but clean and had all the necessities incl a microwave, fridge and coffee machine.

We arrived after 9 pm and our key with lots of information was left in an envelope tucked in the office door. Reminded me of yesteryear. Just a warm feeling. Also all the information was so helpful and much appreciated. I loved the country feel. Gateway restaurant was amazing!

Really lovely one night stay, we wished it could have been longer. The lady at reception was so friendly and helpful, she gave us a map and a list of local restaurants/coffee shops. Motel is such a pretty setting. Room was very comfortable and clean.

Just stayed for one evening before visiting Sequoia National Park. Room was clean, comfortable, and quiet. Check in was easy. Staff was great. Had dinner at the River View Bar & Grill. Hamburger was excellent! Had breakfast the following morning on the way to the park at the Gateway Restaurant (along the river) and it was excellent as well. If staying in Three Rivers, the Lazy J would be the place to stay!

Friendly welcome and great base to explore Sequoia NP. Decent size rooms all set in 'cottages' sourrounding the pool. Great to take dip in the pool given the hot weather but it could be kept a bit cleaner. Plenty of dining options near by and overall a great place to stay. Thank you to the staff for looking after us

My husband and I loved staying here during our first visit to Sequoia National Park. The manager was very helpful with providing a map of the town and a list of restaurants sorted by distance to the motel. This is a really nice, family friendly motel with farm animals, a pool, a playground, and a library of movies to rent. I only marked down one star because the TV in our room seemed to buffer a lot, but that could just be due to the mountain location. Really not a big deal though. The location is very conveniently close to the park and many local restaurants and shops. We definitely plan to return here when we have our own family of little ones to entertain!

We were greeted warmly at check in by the young woman behind the desk and the resident cat. The Lazy J is a quirky multi-unit place perfectly located to the entrance to Sequoia National Park. Our room was comfortable and very quiet. Just what we needed after a long day of travel. I would definitely stay again!

This is such a quirky place, we really enjoyed our stay. The grounds are beautiful and it was lovely seeing the farm animals and the cats. We saw hummingbirds and lots of other wildlife. Rooms are clean but quite old fashioned, very quaint. We ate at the restaurant up the road but wouldn’t recommend it. It was expensive and poor quality but there wasn’t much else in the area. Overall our stay was a lovely experience

The "rooms" are actually individual cabins, providing plenty of room and privacy, along with a complete kitchen setup. The setting is rural, with sheep and goats on the property, and a backdrop of pastures and hills. Its location close to the entrance of Sequoia National Park was very convenient for us. Staff is very friendly, and although they were kind of apologetic about the limited food options, we had no trouble finding a couple of reasonably priced restaurants with good food in the little town of Three Rivers, and a Keurig machine in the room for morning coffee made it manageable.

Muy bonito lugar, habitación limpia, camas agradables, están cerca de un riachuelo lo cual es un plus si vas con niños ya que se lo disfrutan. A 15 minutos del visitor Center (recuerda que el parque secouya está a una hora del Visitor Center). Recomendado

This motel was a pleasant surprise. First off the facilities were kept clean, and it looked very welcoming. The lady in the office was very kind. However, they did have a cat in the office so those that are allergic to pet dander need to be aware. Immediately, my eyes started itching and allergies flared up while I was in there. Took some meds and was able to tame the allergies. The facility has a nice swimming pool. From the motel, there is a walking path that will lead you to the Kaweah river, which was an excellent little hike and great place to go for a swim in the river. The room was clean and smelt fresh. Our room had a queen and a full size bed, and a nice chair which made the room a little crowded because the chair was in front of the bathroom entrance. The room could use a little paint because there were parts of the wall that were patched up. Perhaps they were in the middle of that when we booked who knows. I needed to get some ice for my drinking cups, but the ice machine did not work, that was disappointing. I like that you can park right in front of your room which made unloading our suitcases so much easier. Overall, it was a pleasant experience.
