Upper Lake Inn and Suites

As noted in other reviews, this facility is well-located, nicely maintained and clean. Bed was comfortable and everything worked. BUT- I had among the worst check-in experiences ever. Arriving at 9:30p after a long day, the door and night window were locked. I repeatedly called the two posted numbers and rang the night bell, waiting in the cold for over 10 minutes. When the groggy (?) clerk finally arrived, he was apparently unable to login to the reservation system to check me in. He finally gave up, and said he’d give me a room key, and the transaction would be taken care of in the morning. Of course, the room key didn’t work, and after a further delay, he was able to get me into a room on the second floor - nearly 30 minutes after I arrived. And unsurprisingly, the office was locked and unattended the next morning. Definitely not recommended.

Clean and remodeled! Convenient!

The staff were extra helpful, and the room was very clean. The staff spent hours helping me to resolve an issue I had. They are competent, helpful, and kind.
