Fairfield Inn by Marriott Visalia Sequoia

The hotel was good, but not excellent. The hallways smelt like smoke. The room was clean. The parking was lousy. There is a small parking lot out front with limit space. Then without warning there is a $12/ night fee for parking.

Worse hotel I have ever been pool area is so dirty and noisy ithe jacuzzi doesn’t even have hot water and it looks like it has not been clean up in years the pool is duty all around the area is so disgusting and the have a safety sign Go on your on risk people has been whit diarrhea

Stayed at this hotel with family over weekend. It was kind of okay to stay but not worth the price. Unfortunately, jacuzzi was not functional. Management should address it quickly for future guests. Rooms are smaller compared to Other hotels in the area. Coffee and infused water ran out before 10am in the morning, no refills available. Grab towel early for pool as soon as you checkin else you won’t get it.

Great customer service, though they did not have tooth brushes available on my tooth paste. My family and I did get stuck in the elevator, there appears to be a short in the buttons that cause the elevator to go into default mode when pressed more then once. The front desk employee stated it was also not accounting for the proper weight restrictions of 2500 lbs. it’s actually half that weight amount. He mentioned a “large family” also got stuck earlier in the day. He was very apologetic. I will stay there again but would like to make sure the elevator is fixed and tooth brushes were available. Also, they did grant a request for a later check out time.

The exterior lights need to be repaired on back of property very dark. Homeless were using rocks to keep secured side door open. Lots of updating needed for this property and several SAFETY issues as well. The pool was very cloudy and spa did not work/heat. Food was great and service was great. Several issues with our unit alone. And not happy refund of “incident fee takes days” to return

The staff was very friendly. The facilities were clean. The only negative was the elevator wasn't working and we we're on the 3rd floor. These things happen.

I was shocked when I was charged for parking $12.00 per day. I wish I had known that before. No fittness center was a disappointment

In 1 room we have never been clean. And i stay for 3 nights.

Never coming back. 2nd day, housekeeping serviced the rooms. Didn’t vacuum, took towels and didn’t replenish. Toiletries were not replenished. Toilet paper etc. Called 3x - receptionists- to no avail. Used bathroom downstairs. Never never

My first thought was Marriott has a great reputation and consistent lodging at whichever property you stay in. Not true. I think the cleaning staff is completely checked out. My bathroom was filthy, shower has long black hair (I have very short hair) along the back shower shelf. EVERY shower bottle of shampoo, conditioner and body wash was completely EMPTY. Thoroughly confused how this is at all acceptable at any hotel, particularly this chain.

I found black stuff on sofa bed looked to be mold. Food and food stain in between the couch. Had to leave i had children with me and they were booked out. Was rude when brought to thier attention

The location worked great for us, after a day at Sequoia N.P. The rooms were comfortable, clean and spacious. The pool was a plus and breakfast was great.

The bed was much too soft! On a positive note, you had a smart TV that I could stream my favorite shows.

The staff was friendly, but the service was not up to par. We were asked to pick up extra towels at the front desk instead of having them delivered to our room, which was a first for us at a hotel. Additionally, the noise from the bathroom fan was as loud as a grinder, and the AC unit sounded like a motorcycle. While the room looked decent, the furniture and other items in the room felt fragile and on the verge of breaking. On a positive note, the indoor pool was excellent.

The staff is very friendly, the receptionist assisted me with printing some urgent documents for work, and it literally saved my job. Thank you!

Worst experience ever!!!! I had a very unpleasant experience with this hotel. I chose it because of its proximity to Sequoia National Park and made sure to book at least a month in advance. However, after completing a stargazing tour late at night, I arrived at the hotel around 12 AM and encountered a series of continuous inconveniences. Firstly, there was no one at the reception. We called continuously for 20 minutes before a staff member finally opened the door. After presenting my confirmation, they informed us that they were overbooked and could not accommodate us, despite our valid confirmation and itinerary number. All of this happened at 1 AM. They explained that the hotel had been fully booked since noon and had no available rooms. Incredibly, as they were telling us this, another family arrived and was promptly checked in. We were left shocked and confused. The receptionist claimed the hotel was fully booked since noon, yet they magically had a room available for this family. Feeling helpless, we politely asked for assistance in finding available rooms at nearby Marriott hotels. The receptionist responded rudely, claiming not to know or be able to help. As our group frantically called nearby hotels, the receptionist refused to make any effort to assist us, displaying an uncooperative and rude attitude throughout. Fortunately, we managed to find a hotel 40 minutes away from the Visalia hotel where we finally stayed the night.

Made a reservation for this Fairfield Inn and upon arrival we did not have any rooms. Had to stay at a different motel in another city. No compensation or discount was offered for this inconvenience and no explanation. I have stayed at Marriott hotels over the years and never had this happen before. We will not be staying at Marriott brand hotels in the future and am very disappointed in this experience and lack of remorse.

I booked with the impression there would be a hot tub. To my surprise hot tub out of order. When brought to Managers attention she was rude and stand off-ish.

Friendly and efficient staff with a good breakfast.

Front desk clerks are all so friendly and courteous. I arrived earlier than my family by 3 hours and asked for an early check in when I got there and it was not a problem. Without any extra charges. Rooms are very up dated and beds & pillows are comfortable. Comes with a small refrigerator and microwave. That’s a plus for me. Their morning breakfast meals are very good and they make chocolate chip cookies for the evening time and fresh fruit for snacking. I’m definitely give this hotel a A+++++++

I would really like to shout out the staff here my nephew left his stuffed mouse and when we first noticed it was gone we called and they couldn’t find it :( but we got an email the next day and they found “mousey” and he will be shipped to us! Thank you so so much this will be one happy boy when he gets back to him :)

We were running late and the clerk at the counter got us signed up and checked in super fast so we could be on our way.

My flight was cancelled so I was not able to check in the day of my reservation. I had booked the room for 3 nights. I called the hotel that same day and told them I would be there the next day. I arrived at the hotel and they said I was counted a no show and they cancelled the reservation. They said I would have to make a new reservation at a much higher cost. I ended up staying somewhere else the 3 days. I am still trying to get a refund.

The hotel location was great, clean, quiet and safe. I will say the indoor pool was overly chlorinated and the ventilation was poor that I ended up with a headache. I’m not a fan of super soft pillows so my sleep wasn’t as comfortable. The staff were very nice. The lady at the front desk forgot to send extra toilet paper when I requested. The breakfast was good. Overall we had a good stay.

Everything about this property was next to perfection for me. The guy at check in was very nice and extremely friendly and very welcoming. There's a Denny's across the street, but very safe to walk and easy to get to. I was by myself but felt perfectly safe. I would definitely stay here again. I could find a reason to stay it was so wonderful.

The property is in a great location, very central to lots of food, shopping and activities. I was there for a graduation so i didn't spend a ton of time in my room but when I did it was a wonderful reprieve from the heat and hustle and bustle. The breakfast was really good with lots of options. The only small issues I had were with the shower and the provided soaps and such, I had to pack light and was counting on the stuff in the room; the pumps on the products just didn't work, but no big deal i was able to stop by the store and grab some travel stuff. The premium parking filled up fast but that is to be expected but there was still ample parking around back, but since I was solo traveling it would have felt safer to get to park in an area that had more light and with more foot traffic. The room was decently clean and the bed was wonderfully comfortable.

Very nice, clean and comfortable hotel. Excellent front desk service. Only down point, water not hot in the jacuzzi and not enough room for breakfast in the cafe. Everything else, including free breakfast (food was great), was excellent!

breakfast was disappointing — it felt like it was barely there. There were no fruits or vegetables offered, and the overall selection was very poor. It would be better if the property did not advertise breakfast at all than to offer such a minimal option.
