Holiday Inn Express & Suites Alamosa by IHG

I want to be fair, so I'll note the positives first: the room was mostly clean and the staff were not outwardly rude. That's where the positives end. The room itself had issues. The table chairs had suspicious staining that had clearly gone unaddressed for some time, and the curtain was torn. Minor, but telling. The major problem was the elevator. It was out of service for the entirety of our stay, and no prior notice was given. When I requested a first-floor room specifically because my father has a disability, I was denied. He was forced to navigate three flights of stairs. That is not a minor inconvenience. That is a failure to accommodate a guest with a mobility limitation, and it should not have happened.

My spouse is 80 years old and had both of her knees redone. We had to climb three flights of stairs and it was not easy. I understand that the elevator was broken and not the staff’s fault. Because of this we will never stay at a holiday express again

Good place to stay Quiet clean

Clean rooms, very quiet and friendly staffs.

Overall good stay. In general the hotel and our room was clean, but not all the details (like dusting in not so obvious areas). Our mini-fridge wasn’t on; we turned it on and it worked, but wish it had been cool and usable during our stay. Everyone we encountered at the front desk was awesome and so nice, especially Devon. Would stay again.
