We liked the breakfast and the service (breakfast was the only meal on property). It was buffet style, with a different plated item served each day. The fruit bowl was amazing, with several types of fruit. Great location. Very near the shuttle station, which takes you (at no cost) to get to the mountains. The room was nice enough (we had the economy room). The closet area was wide open. A curtain would have added to the ambiance. We reported a clicking sound that came and went every night from one of the bed’s headboards. Supposedly it was checked. No change. It was so strange. We didn’t use them, but the heated pool and hot tub were extremely popular. We were there in April. It was in the 40s or 50s. Being from Florida, we thought that the swimmers were crazy…lol. The front desk area had couches and newspapers. They laid out cookies each afternoon. There were machines that supplied coffee, hot water for tea, and hot chocolate. We took advantage of the opportunity every night! All in all, except for the clicking noise (I’m sure it was just our room), and the front desk employees were not too friendly. Other than that we liked it. We would happily go back- in a different room.

Amazing staff. Everyone was so nice and accommodating. I arrived a couple hours after their check in times. And they still provided me with my key without hassle. Called several times for information, always greeted with kindness. The breakfast was like a restaurant style. They have a mini buffet but can also order from the kitchen. Pool was heated. We really enjoyed the sauna. Chalet was easily accessible from the street. Peaceful study area located by the front desk. 24/7 coffee machine and snacks. The only part I didn’t like was the parking. It was underground (not an issue) through a narrow passageway in which only 1 car could go through at a time. I would stand in the driveway stopping other cars from entering while my copilot exited/entered the garage. Very peaceful area, everything, restaurants, museums, shopping store, activities were within walking distance.

My review may be pointless because the chalet has been sold and will be closed for the next two years for renovations. I was there for John Denver week and had a fantastic time. Aspen is, well, insanely expensive. Dining options within a reasonable budget is non existent. Thankfully the chalet offered breakfast. A member of the breakfast staff was very rude to me and to others but overall breakfast was a welcomed amenity. Parking was a nightmare. There were no ADA compliant handicapped parking spaces and very few parking spaces at all. Their suggestion was to park in the residential areas. Not a suitable option for mobility impaired persons that can’t walk long distances.

The hotel is unique and has an interesting history. The breakfast was good as was the gym and hot tub. The hotel is in need of renovations which I was told will begin soon under new ownership. Our room was old and was rather stuffy with poor ventilation. The staff was absolutely fantastic. Very friendly and responsive. When the shuttle was running late for our airport transfer, the owner delivered us to the airport in his personal car even though this delayed his appearance at a private event at the hotel. The customer service sets this hotel apart from many others.

The property is kind of old and outdated. The underground parking was scary. Very narrow and tiny parking spaces. There is an elevator which was convenient. The breakfast good and the dining staff guy was very nice. Room was clean and it is conveniently located.

Great deal in Aspen. We were in an economy room with no AC during a warm time, but with a fan and an open window at night it was fine. Breakfast was the best. A buffet of the usual items, but they add a delicious cooked to order option every day. Bed was very comfortable. Plenty of space for our luggage. Desk and dresser with ample storage. Nice pool, jacuzzi, and game rooms. Would definitely stay here again.

A little bit shabby due to the age of the building and amenities like the pool and hot tub, but the price is DIVINE compared with the next door neighbors. Spend 10 times as much and get nicer facilities, sure. As for proximity to gondola, shopping, dining? Unbeatable, truly. There are $50 million homes up the street that are a longer walk to the gondola.

Die Unterkunft ist sehr in die Jahre gekommen. Jedoch super Lage, die Zimmer waren sauber und hatten alles was man braucht, die Beschreibung auf der Homepage des Hotels entspricht den Gegebenheiten - keine falschen Versprechungen! Lage perfekt und Preis-/Leistung für Aspen gut. Das inbegriffene Frühstück war sehr gut!

I’m so glad we picked Mountain Chalet Aspen. Staff cleanliness, breakfast, amenities, all great. Yes, the place is old, carpets and furniture show wear. Bathroom was good, beds were comfortable. Ambiance was great. Location excellent.

Loved the location. But the walls were paper thin and I could hear employees early in the morning. The propriety is older and needs an update but overall I had a nice stay. I just wouldn’t stay on the 1st floor ever again.

We had a pleasant stay at this somewhat old but well-managed hotel. It has a terrific location close to everything in downtown Aspen. The free garage parking was wonderful and we hardly had to use the car during our stay. Nice breakfast and conveniences such as day-long hot and cold refreshments. The rooms are basic but comfortable. We’d consider staying there again.

This was a nice place to stay. The location was excellent. The room was comfortable and large with good lighting. Bathroom was nice but starting to show signs of wear. The breakfast was also good with decent coffee. Overall it was a great place to stay and a good price for Aspen. I will definitely stay here again.

The staff was extremely courteous, nice and professional. However the hotel is in poor conditions, the bathroom was falling apart, rusted, water leaking and the door from the bathroom was also in bad conditions. I could hear the people next door talking. The WiFi was also terrible, the only way for it to work was by being in the lobby. We were expecting something better for the price. Definitely will not go back and would not recommend.

The air conditioning was turned off by the Manager/Owner because it was "cool during the evenings" however, my room was 79 degrees during the day and it was hot.

I liked everything. Everyone was really helpful, just something to keep in mind.... it'll be nice if employees understand that guess might need quiet time. The have a really LOUD lunch at the tv room without even care about me staying there. They kept on coming and going laughing and shouting... I understand the have to have a nice working environment but please provide them a place to do that and not in guess common areas.... this was a really really really UNPLEASANT experience, it lasted for almost 2 hours until I guess their shift was over past noon. :( this never happened to me in any hotel before (worse than a hostel! And that's the reason I do not go to hostels:( I espect that hotel rules about quiet are more "real"

I had a wonderful week-long stay at the chalet. My friends and I were picked up by the hotel shuttle and enjoyed the complimentary breakfasts. Also, they could accommodate an early check-in and hold our bags for a day. Hospitality was great, and I would love to stay again!

The hotel is unique and has an interesting history. The breakfast was good as was the gym and hot tub. The hotel is in need of renovations which I was told will begin soon under new ownership. Our room was old and was rather stuffy with poor ventilation. The staff was absolutely fantastic. Very friendly and responsive. When the shuttle was running late for our airport transfer, the owner delivered us to the airport in his personal car even though this delayed his appearance at a private event at the hotel. The customer service sets this hotel apart from many others.

This was a nice place to stay. The location was excellent. The room was comfortable and large with good lighting. Bathroom was nice but starting to show signs of wear. The breakfast was also good with decent coffee. Overall it was a great place to stay and a good price for Aspen. I will definitely stay here again.

A little bit shabby due to the age of the building and amenities like the pool and hot tub, but the price is DIVINE compared with the next door neighbors. Spend 10 times as much and get nicer facilities, sure. As for proximity to gondola, shopping, dining? Unbeatable, truly. There are $50 million homes up the street that are a longer walk to the gondola.

We liked the breakfast and the service (breakfast was the only meal on property). It was buffet style, with a different plated item served each day. The fruit bowl was amazing, with several types of fruit. Great location. Very near the shuttle station, which takes you (at no cost) to get to the mountains. The room was nice enough (we had the economy room). The closet area was wide open. A curtain would have added to the ambiance. We reported a clicking sound that came and went every night from one of the bed’s headboards. Supposedly it was checked. No change. It was so strange. We didn’t use them, but the heated pool and hot tub were extremely popular. We were there in April. It was in the 40s or 50s. Being from Florida, we thought that the swimmers were crazy…lol. The front desk area had couches and newspapers. They laid out cookies each afternoon. There were machines that supplied coffee, hot water for tea, and hot chocolate. We took advantage of the opportunity every night! All in all, except for the clicking noise (I’m sure it was just our room), and the front desk employees were not too friendly. Other than that we liked it. We would happily go back- in a different room.

Great deal in Aspen. We were in an economy room with no AC during a warm time, but with a fan and an open window at night it was fine. Breakfast was the best. A buffet of the usual items, but they add a delicious cooked to order option every day. Bed was very comfortable. Plenty of space for our luggage. Desk and dresser with ample storage. Nice pool, jacuzzi, and game rooms. Would definitely stay here again.

It was hot. No air-conditioning. Staff suggested to open the window and then it became noisy as main road is near the property. No vegetarian breakfast option for all 3 day stay. Staff was not fully supportive.

It was walkable to restaurants and hiking trails. It was nice that we could park the car in the garage. The hotel is a little outdated, our bathroom shower was a little clogged took awhile to drain the water.

Someone was playing guitar and singing by the hotel pool until 3am. For breakfast the employees were with larger groups of customers and no one ever came to my table where I was by myself
