Close to many dining options and activities. Bathroom very, small, had to get keys remade multiple times after cleaning was done as the door lock would deactivate so you could just open the door, very few options on the breakfast bar, pool was small and out of service often.

Being Fruita, mountain biking is the thing. This hotel allows bikes and dogs in the room (surcharge for dogs) outside there is a bike repair stand and secured tools.

Love the location right off the freeway. The parking is great and there is a park nearby where we could walk our dogs. The hotel is super pet friendly, and gave us a room near the back of the hotel so we could easily slip out and let our dogs walk in the park. There were many great eating options around the hotel too. We loved our stay.

Room smelled bad, carpet was atrocious. Found a dead bedbug in the sheets. Furniture was broken. Overhead light was just hanging on the wire. People hanging around outside and sleeping in the parking lot. We left.

The room smelled. Was not worth the cost. Carpet disgusting stains everywhere. Had to move night stand when I dropped something, looked it had mot been vacuumed in a really long time. Bathroom don't get me started I think a refund is in order

The hotel looked clean, superficially, but we got attacked by BED BUGS! I have 15 bites over my body like the ones in the photo, on top of that we had to thoroughly wash all clothes, clean out our car with a thorough vacuuming so as not to contaminate a friends home and ours. A big hassle.

Everything in this hotel is very outdated. The carpet, fixtures, bed, and pluming are very old. The smell of the hotel was very musty, and the hallway smelled like puke. It just felt very dirty to me. I will spend the extra money to stay in a more modern hotel next time.

The room we got had bedbugs. I reported this to the staff and I was asked what I wanted to do. Obviously I asked for another room and checked everything. It was a one night for us as we were heading to the national parks. Also I have stayed at multiple super 8s and is the first time this happened to us.

Carpet and bathrooms could use a renewal, very old and worn. The caulking around the bathtub was black. Mattress was like sleeping on concrete and ply wood but it did the job for one night stop on our trip.

What started off as an intended one night stay to recover from a severe asthma attack turned into 5 days. If courtesy and concern were the only ratings they'd get a 10 on a scale of five. Exceptional staff. Exceptional owner. I can't recommend this place highly enough. Best deal for the money anywhere in the area. Rooms are clean breakfast is reasonable and the staff is exceptional. Enjoy!

We were a late night check-in, and then we had a problem with the room! The staff handled the problem quickly and efficiently -- they got us a new room right next door, so the move was easy and painless! The room was clean! And the breakfast in the morning was good!

I have stayed here at least 4 times now. Generally the rooms are spacious, the beds are comfortable, they allow bicycles in the rooms (I don't bike, but many do near Fruita), and I particularly like that there are microwaves and refrigerators in each room. The breakfast was actually quite good this stay - usually they seem to have run short on most items. The service I have to question though. This is a budget motel so my expectations are not high. Nonethless, this happened: I stayed 2 weeks ago and asked where the nearest US mailbox was. I was told to leave my mail in the outgoing mail basket at the desk. I knew the intended recipient hadn't received it, so when I stayed again last night, I checked the outgoing mail basket and sure enough, there it was (so I took it out). On inquiring I was told by the unapologetic clerk that management had changed and mail was now just picked up across the street at the Comfort Inn. Why the mail had not been taken the 300 feet to the other motel is beyond me, and the mail basket removed - there are usually multiple staff - this is common sense and not that onerous. When I checked out, I mentioned to another employee that my air con rattled and kept me awake, which he said would be fixed. I asked his opinion on the mail basket (still there, the pile of mail getting larger) and he just said it wasn't their problem. I am not sure if this is a referendum on the staff, or the way management treats/pays the staff.

When Kwvin checked us in he came out of a back room and said "Great someone else bothering me while im trying to relax and watch you tube. Then he proceeded to tell me oh you have a Visa prime credit card im stealing your number just so you know. I have shopping to do.NOT FUNNY I have had my info stolen before not something you say to say to a customer!

Walking into our room we were greeted with a clogged toilet with someone’s “stuff” still inside. We contacted the front desk and the only solution she offered was for us to come get a plunger and fix it ourselves. She stated there wasn’t anyone on site that could take care of it and there wasn’t another room we could move to. Asked for a refund and she stated that only the owner could offer that and he was “out of town”. So basically we had to plunge someone else’s feces in order to stay in our room. Not sure how this gets by the cleaning staff and then not rectified by other personnel once brought to their attention.

Nice, clean room. We booked a one-night stay and ended up booking an extra night, and the front desk clerk was very helpful and was even able to let us keep the same room. This hotel is very close to some excellent scenery and hiking trails. Colorado National Monument is not even five minutes away, and it's a must-see.

It was a good place to stay while traveling. Showed up late at night and staff was there waiting, everything was good as far as getting into the room and getting some sleep. And it's right next to i-70 so it's convenient to just get back on the interstate.

It was all right, not great, not terrible. Breakfast could have had a little more options. Some couldn't even eat because they were gluten intolerant.

For me, my experience matches the reviews of many others. It's a bit dated, but feels very clean. I was on a business trip and usually camp outdoors for work, but monsoon storms forced me into moving into a hotel. And I wanted to not spend a lot as it's my small business and my expense. So enter this place. It matched my expectations based on other reviews. I was there in summer when I imagine rates are lower than usual, and was really affordable when I was there. Super cheap in fact. I was filming various locations for work, including some local paleontology sites (fossil sites), and this place is a prime location for that, positioned near some world class sites. There is a Dinosaur museum across the street, and Colorado National Monument's Fruita main gate is a couple miles away. It's also near many food options ranging from fast food to some local restaurants. I'd recommend El Tapatio. Just be careful with their margaritas as they were large, and strong. They burnt the throat a little going down (in a good way lol). Also within walking distance of the hotel if you have one too many. But all in all, I'd totally stay here again for the location, convenience, value, and cleanliness.
