The Village at Steamboat

A very clean and larger than expected room. Loved the multiple pools and suanas

We have stayed at the Wyndham Resort on this same property (buildings 2-6) several times and booked one night through Expedia as a bridge night between two Wyndham reservations. The Expedia reservations are all in Building 1, which benefits from the same amenities as the Wyndham/Worldmark rooms on the same property. However - the rooms in Building 1 are different from those in 2-6, as they are older and have not been renovated as recently. The 2-bedroom we stayed in had dated bathrooms/kitchen (though they were fine for one night) and a spiral staircase to the second (loft) bedroom/bathroom. We left all of the luggage on the first floor and just took up what was needed. This would have been an issue for anyone who is mobility-impaired. The stairs and hallways in Building 1 are outdoors, so they are not climate-controlled and can be a bit loud if people are walking by with ski boots on. Note also that the room was fine in winter (individual heating units/thermostats in each room), but there is no A/C for summer stays and limited windows - could be quite hot in the summer. All in all a good room in the winter for a bridge for two reservations; the resort has a shuttle to the Steamboat base that runs 8-5:30 and underground parking included for one car (super useful if it’s snowing). The front desk staff were wonderful and very helpful.

Only stayed one night as a layover between RMNP and Arches/Canyonlands NP. Hotel staff was very kind and informative. Property was well kept and had some very nice amenities (indoor pool, gym, pool table, video games, etc). Room had a full kitchen with supplied dishes and utensils. No AC in the rooms but the fan and the windows were adequate to keep cool in mid June.

Pleasant staff. They had games one could check out and additional coffee for the room. The underground parking was great. Convenient location and several pools.

AWESOME location and shuttle service to resort is nice. Room was clean and had all the essentials. Stovetop and fridge and freezer are a huge benefit. Only bad thing was: the room smelled a little bit like smoke, which gave me a bit of a headache

The condo was clean, spacious and well appointed. The parking was convienient and the shuttle service to the ski hill was unexpected and fantastic.

We loved staying here, it had everything we needed to stay as a family. Washer, dryer, kitchen, patio, the beds are very comfortable, game room was fun, hot tubs and pools were so great, it was quiet and steamboat is gorgeous in May OMG!!. The gourmet spice packets in the kitchen were a nice surprise, I totally forgot spices! We will be back.

The property had everything we needed great transportation to the mountain for skiing, close to services and restaurants. Helpful staff, and a nice Jacuzzi to relax at the end of the day.

The room smelled like musty shower. It would have been nice to know the room did not have an air conditioner before booking the room.

Our room wasn’t ready at check in. We were moved to another room and it wasn’t clean when we got there. We had to go back to the desk and get yet another room. Faith was amazing and apologized and put us in a fantastic room! Thank you for making it right and the great customer service.

The condominium had everything we needed for our stay. It was clean, bed was comfortable, kitchen was well-stocked and we had a nice choice of restaurants.

The units were clean, but there were full garbage bags, Sheets and vacuums out in front of the units.

Internet was not secure. Very unexceptable in the 21th century

Required $100 hold on card to stay one night here. Also we stayed on the third floor with stair access only beware if you have a bad knee like me (no elevators present.) Room was neat, clean and comfortable. No AC but had portable fans. Upstairs gets pretty warm fast in morning and several other occupants including myself had to leave front/back door open for airflow. Perhaps this stay here is better in the winter but for summer, didn’t work for me since I enjoy privacy.

While everyone was nice enough, the staff seemed to not have much, if any, training in hospitality or customer service. There was a confusing check-in, as the front desk said we could park under our building, where we'd find luggage carts. Under the building was an open area with no other vehicles parked, and it looked to be used for storage. No luggage carts, but they'd be useless, since there was no elevator. We ultimately parked in the outside spaces. Also, we saw the '8-10 stairs' warning; however, it didn't mention 'per floor'. On the second floor, we had to climb three flights of the '8-10 stairs', dragging up our luggage (a staff member did come to help, upon request). There were signs posted that bear and moose may wander through, when we were sitting on a bench outside, we did have a bear 'wander through', on its way to the dumpsters, effectively halting any attempt to enjoy the grounds. I was nervous for children, who often walked across the grounds unaccompanied, and at night. When the 2 reading lights over the bed, plus 2 lights over the side tables didn't work, maintenance came, but was unfamiliar with it all. The guy did notice the wires behind the bed, and I figured to plug them in. As for the side lights, there was a switch behind the TV that I also found on my own. There was no soap provided for the washing sink or shower, and the clerk pulled out a bottle of dish soap. We finally were able to communicate that it was bar soap we needed.

It was clean and organized. Just had the connectivity issues on and off.

Now thats a total farce I'm sorry. I'm informed the units have no Air-conditioning after I booked it with a non refundable paid in full. The weather was in the 90's, theres not a chance I ever would have booked a room for 2 nights at this place! I walked into a sauna when I entered the room, a small fan in the closet was no help. I didnt sleep a wink, I booked a room for 2 adults, the room didnt accommodate 2 adults, it had a small pulldown bed for 1 person, I sat in the chair all night sweating

The room needs more airflow. Not necessarily AC. But the one tiny window wasn’t cutting it.

We have stayed at this property many times. We choose it for easy access to a shuttle to the ski resort. We came up New Year's Eve to be able to ski on New Year's day. We were ready to go but unfortunately did not get up to the mountain until later due to the facility only having 1 driver versus two. The communication about this was unclear until we complained and waited for over an hour. The property had other employees they could have designated to the shuttles.

Staff very friendly and helpful

check in was fantastic. Front desk person. leanne, I believev, was very nice, accommodating and professional. we arrived 15 min early, our room was not ready but she got us into a room that was ready. answered all my questions and offered suggestions to help with my son's ski competition plans early the next day. strongly recommend this property.

I had the room from a Thursday through a Sunday. The check in was easy and it was fairly quiet and clean at the property. It is a small town so services are easily accessible. I however did run into a couple of issues. First off the day I checked in and had already moved everything up to my room... two internet technicians decided to just walk into my room unannounced. Apparently even though I was already in the room they were still planning to work in it. This is poor form. I let the lady at the desk know and all she did was apologize rather than reschedule the workers. Also I was in town to run a very long race. It was cold and rainy that Saturday and I just wanted to get back to the room for a hot shower. Well apparently the studios must share a water heater or something because all I got out of the shower was about 2-3 minutes of hot water before it went less than warm.

Staff was very helpful and the room was very nice.

Great Spot , very quite and lots of amenities , lot stores near by and Dtown is like 5 min away driving ! Will stay again

Fabulous condo- better than the pictures and description. We loved it. It is so close to the steamboat ski resort- easy shuttle over. Location is between the ski resort and the downtown steamboat springs area. Exceeded our expectations by a lot. We will definitely be back.

I really enjoyed my stay at the Village. There is a shuttle from the Village to the ski base, but it didn't appear to be very timely. However, the facility is conveniently located just across the road from the Meadows parking area. So I just drove over to the Meadows and took their shuttle. The room was well equipped and very comfortable. The kitchen was especially nice with great cooking utensils.
