Comfort Inn & Suites

We booked a wheelchair accessible shower which was available and nesssessary that’s why we booked it , nothing said this room wasn’t available. On getting to the property no room (that we booked) was available. They had only 1 roll in wheelchair shower room which they had already sold to another customer. We had driven 8 hrs so my wife had to lay down and honestly didn’t want to drive further , we were on our way to a wedding and driv they tried to put us in an upgrade room but didn’t need an upgraded room , we needed the room we booked (room in wheelchair shower). How did this happen, we do not want to go through this again? I’d like to get your feedback on this , this is important that hotels can accommodate HC accessible people and maybe have more than 1 accessible room. A room with a bath/shower should not be called HC accessible, people with these conditions can not get into a bath , thanks
