Tower Inn and Suites of Guilford / Madison

Thinking it was a one story motel, I did not request a ground floor room. I was surprised when the clerk told me our room was on the second floor. I told him my husband might have difficulty with the stairs. At first he said nothing was available but then chased me out to my car and gave me a keycard for a first floor unit. Worked out well because my husband had a dizzy spell returning one afternoon and the housekeeper kindly helped me get him back to our room. The motel was a convenient drive to all the nearby town beaches and restaurants. Room was clean and comfortable. Could have used at least one chair as the beds were the only place to sit.

Very noisy upstairs. Stomping around and lots of door slamming. Also, the grab bar inside the tub area was broken. Pulled out from the wall and I almost fell. The body soap and shampoo containers were empty and the toilet paper rolls are on the opposite wall from the toilet so I had to practically get off the toilet to even reach the toilet paper. Ridiculous set up. That grab bar must be fixed. So dangerous. Don’t the cleaners check these things? Very disappointed with this visit and I do not like being on that side of the motel. On the Rm 115 side. I prefer being across from the office. I will only stay there if I can be across from the office Not where I was this visit. Should have higher toilets for older people. Very disappointing.

I really enjoy staying here. The family who runs this motel are so nice. I used to live in Guilford and moved out of state. I return to Conn frequently and always stay here.

Staff was very courteous in the room was very clean.. This was an inexpensive room for the night and so everything was great for the price This meeting as was to be expected furnishings, and what not in the room were quite old, but that’s what I expected for the price.. OK thank you
