Over priced for what it is. Loud people at after midnight. Large water stain in bathroom ceiling. The outside is drab and worn, could use a coat of paint and some TLC. The carpet is threadbare and the odor in the hallway upstairs was borderline unpleasant. Bed was comfortable and clean, water pressure was ok, The towels are old and scratchy. The air conditioner struggled mightily. Only booked there because of a lack of Marriott Bonvoy around the area. Will not go back.

Hallway is scary and smells like smoke and body Oder. Inside is fine but bedding is kinda outdated and cold and not super clean but honestly the room itself isn't terrible.

Well, my stay including the check-in was not so good. I asked for a room on the first floor. They didn’t have any. They said it’s a short flight of stairs. It wasn’t the corridor leading to the stairway was outside. The stairs were not in good condition and my Room was as far from the entrance as could be. The security lock did not work, and there was a bag of garbage in the room left by the former residence. And when I told the clerk in the morning after waiting a few minutes for her to appear, she didn’t seem to take it very seriously

Parking - lot is occupied by many cars belonging to residents, some of which do not appear to be functional. Residents also tend to hang out in the parking area. Probably safe due to the lighting and proximity to road - but doesn't necessarily feel secure. - Front desk staff isn't very welcoming /warm. - No restrooms in the lobby - No elevators to upper floor - Sink wasn't clean upon my arrival. Visible material still clinging to porcelain. - Carpet cleanliness iffy. - Linens were old but bed was comfortable - TV's aren't "Smart" or internet ready. You're stuck watching basic cable on a grainy screen. - No Channel guide. - Room service staff is friendly

The stay was sub-par in every way, even in cleanliness. The room was huge which was nice and it did have a small fridge and microwave. But the TV didn’t have any apps and had very few channels. The sheets and towels were clean but the overall feel was not of super clean like usually in a hotel room. I think hotel guests were staying on the 2nd floor (no elevator so if you have a wheelchair or can’t do stairs this is NOT the place for you) and I think the bottom part of the place was for those with homeless vouchers. We will not be staying there again.

Hotels.com really needs to better vet hotels, like the Whitney Inn, which have a significant number of full-time subsidized residents. I'm not particularly bothered by this practice but it could easily make some people, like young families, uncomfortable as residents often just stare at guests from open room doors. Others smoke and litter the parking lot with cigarettes. I found one resident looking into my car as I came down in the morning.I asked what he was doing and he took off. Some other oddities: there is no elevator access to the second level (or I was simply not shown one) and the room came with a flat screen TV which was only receiving an analog signal. I don't think I've grainy color TV in 20 years. The desk chair was broken; leaning back was risky... On the plus side - the room was very clean and fairly comfortable. The price was low and it's conveniently located - especially for anyone who likes to jog/ bike/walk - the beautiful Farmington Canal Trail passes right behind it.

The rooms are right at the street and people cut through the parking lots. I had someone right outside my room on phone call for 45 min with the call on speaker at 10 pm. No one offered me any assistance to ask this person to go elsewhere it doesn’t appear that they were even a guest at the hotel.

Room was clean. Outside of the building was run down and unkept. No coffee or breakfast available. Hairdryer was taken from the wall. Shower was very nice and bed was comfortable.

Absolutely terrible. We didn’t even spend the night. Checked out at 1am. Super dirty and smelled of smoke. Paper thin walls, could hear everything happening in the hotel. Will never stay here again.

We just use this place because it. Was close to Quinnipiac University. We checked in at 2am and were out by 9am . The room had a strong odor and there was mold in the shower. Wouldn’t stay here again. I’ll pay a little more and stay a little farther away.

This is a local hotel that we passed often, but never has the need to stay for we lived in the area. We were closing on our home and needed a place to stay for one night. The Whitney inn was perfect! We booked the king room which was both spacious and super clean. It seems it has been remodeled recently. The bed was amazingly comfortable, the room size was huge and the bathroom was super spacious and overall a great stay at the Whitney inn.

The non smoking rooms had a smell that can only be described aa a locker room smell. The bed smelled sweaty, there were stains on the carpet. I couldn’t stay the night as planned.

The room was was large and clean. Although advertised breakfast was not offered. Outside of building could use some work, and windows definitely could be cleaned. Hallway had a musty odor but the rooms were okay. Solid value for the price.

Everything was ok except for that there wasn't a security lock for the inside of room 211. There also a visible space in the door from the outside giving me concerns about the security of that door. Otherwise the experience was quite pleasant.

Room is big and clean. Staff is friendly. However, the facilities need some repairing. My door did not have a safety latch - it had clearly fallen off because the holes are on the door. This is not safe for a single woman travelling. My bathroom door had not lock or door knobs. If you are a big young man, it might be fine. As a woman, I did not feel safe.

Although the price is great and the room was clean, I would never stay here again. I mistakenly left behind my coat and initially when I contacted the Inn they told me they had the coat and to call the following Monday to speak with the manager. After several calls it was clear my coat was not being returned.
Although the price is great and the room was clean, I would never stay here again. I mistakenly left behind my coat and initially when I contacted the Inn they told me they had the coat and to call the following Monday to speak with the manager. After several calls it was clear my coat was not being returned.

Well, my stay including the check-in was not so good. I asked for a room on the first floor. They didn’t have any. They said it’s a short flight of stairs. It wasn’t the corridor leading to the stairway was outside. The stairs were not in good condition and my Room was as far from the entrance as could be. The security lock did not work, and there was a bag of garbage in the room left by the former residence. And when I told the clerk in the morning after waiting a few minutes for her to appear, she didn’t seem to take it very seriously

Parking - lot is occupied by many cars belonging to residents, some of which do not appear to be functional. Residents also tend to hang out in the parking area. Probably safe due to the lighting and proximity to road - but doesn't necessarily feel secure. - Front desk staff isn't very welcoming /warm. - No restrooms in the lobby - No elevators to upper floor - Sink wasn't clean upon my arrival. Visible material still clinging to porcelain. - Carpet cleanliness iffy. - Linens were old but bed was comfortable - TV's aren't "Smart" or internet ready. You're stuck watching basic cable on a grainy screen. - No Channel guide. - Room service staff is friendly

The room we stayed at didn’t smell good, had no ventilation, bath towels weren’t regular bath towels and one wasn’t wash properly. no shampoo or conditioner offered, bathroom was not clean, they only focused on the tub yet everything else was dirty. Images on website didn’t match our room. It needs a lot of work. Mgr didn’t seem phased by it. Will not recommend, everything else was sold out so couldn’t leave.

Hotels.com really needs to better vet hotels, like the Whitney Inn, which have a significant number of full-time subsidized residents. I'm not particularly bothered by this practice but it could easily make some people, like young families, uncomfortable as residents often just stare at guests from open room doors. Others smoke and litter the parking lot with cigarettes. I found one resident looking into my car as I came down in the morning.I asked what he was doing and he took off. Some other oddities: there is no elevator access to the second level (or I was simply not shown one) and the room came with a flat screen TV which was only receiving an analog signal. I don't think I've grainy color TV in 20 years. The desk chair was broken; leaning back was risky... On the plus side - the room was very clean and fairly comfortable. The price was low and it's conveniently located - especially for anyone who likes to jog/ bike/walk - the beautiful Farmington Canal Trail passes right behind it.

We just use this place because it. Was close to Quinnipiac University. We checked in at 2am and were out by 9am . The room had a strong odor and there was mold in the shower. Wouldn’t stay here again. I’ll pay a little more and stay a little farther away.

I was able to get a room here at the last minute and the staff were able to accomodate my late arrival/checkout. The first floor rooms are outside-facing for easy access, and I was on the second floor in a quiet indoor hallway. I didn't notice anything awry, and slept peacefully despite being on a major road. A great experience for what it's worth!

The room was ok, seemed clean and neat. We really liked the Shampoo and Soap, since it seemed organic/healthy. The Hallway smelled terrible, there was definitely a strong cigarette smell in there. We tried to hold our breaths while going in and out, and up and down the stairs every time we left our room. About half of the cars parked there looked like they lived at the motel. This place should not be called an Inn or Suite, as that's deceiving. It's a yucky motel. and I paid about $109 in total for it. Had I known, I wouldn't have paid more than $75 for the place. The Clerk/manager was ok. There was no continental breakfast - all the food dispensers, including coffee machine, were out of order.

The room was was large and clean. Although advertised breakfast was not offered. Outside of building could use some work, and windows definitely could be cleaned. Hallway had a musty odor but the rooms were okay. Solid value for the price.

We got a Lg King non-smoking Exec Rm (some are smoking) with an opening window in front facing the Ave (noisy, other 2nd floor rms face the back). No breakfast (website claims otherwise) also no klenex. Clean room, comfortable bed, good value.

Do not stay here! The lady at check-in was NOT pleasant. They advertise continental breakfast...IT WASN'T!! The hotel puts you in the mind of a pay by the hour or the Bates motel. To give you an idea of the ambiance. I don't know about any other room but our bathroom had two windows with like that frosted covering and the hotel is only one level and every time I went to the bathroom I expected to see a guy with his face pressed up against the window! Never again. If you just need somewhere to lay your head for the night it'll due. But definitely not family friendly and DEFINITELY not worth the money they are charging!! Only good thing was our room didn't have bugs (surprisingly) but I can't speak for any of the other rooms.

We did not know the location had no elevator. We were on the 2nd floor quite also far from the stairs. We are both in our 70’s. Not disabled, just older. Their was not int the hotels.com write up.
