Had a 6 hour car ride from Delaware and got there early. Three cars in the parking lot. Was told check in at 3:00pm to come back. The lobby was miniscule. Looking at the doors of the rooms (everything was outside) it looked terrible. There was a housekeeping cart outside and the linens looked dingy and grey. Found another hotel in the area that was beautiful and we never checked in. Would not recommend just by looking at the outside, which was a disgrace in such a beautiful town.

Everything worked great; the room was appropriately appointed, clean and the staff was great. But the property is experiencing some deferred maintenance - toilet seat was deteriorating, the gym equipment was old, window was missing a screen - and there's not really anything around. It has a restaurant and that's great, but nothing else. That said, it's a great price/value for the area and I would likely stay again should the need arise.

The room is in terrible condition. The outlets were loose. We had to bend the plug on our charger to finally make it work. Be warned that if you have a room on the second floor the stairs are extremely steep.

Aging motel with junk cars and long term residents smoking pot and playing loud music. Didn’t feel completely safe. A resident there clearly with mental health issues. A bit of dry cereal and English muffins was only thing available for breakfast. Should not be charging $99 per night. The resident restaurant was average.

This is a property that desperately needs renovation and probably rebuilding. The management is helpful and friendly enough but the physical property is just getting old. The "continental breakfast" was as scant as the management could make it. The on-site "restaurant" is called the Amazonia. I never saw a customer inside it. The forward facing rooms with 2 beds are more modern and are satisfactory. The rooms in the back, upstairs up a staircase, with a single bed are very small. Our floor was uneven. The ironing board was held onto the wall with a single screw coming out of the drywall. Corners are chipped. Room carpet was not vacuumed. The beds were fine, linen was clean and fresh. The bathroom was cramped but clean, and the shower and hot water were satisfactory. The back parking lot was neglected, to be charitable. Dead plants in planters, weeds, loose gravel rather than pavement, derelict RV has been parked in the back for years. This Days Inn is a value at $92 per night in the Ridgefield/Branchville/Redding market where there are are literally no other motels. I have stayed at this motel several times for visiting friends in the area, but I do not know how it retains the Days Inn franchise rating. I hope that an investor can come in and modernize the property.

The greeter we checked in with was not cooperative. My elderly parents were with us and despite having a first floor she would not place my parents on the first floor room, they had to carry everything up to the 2nd floor. Their room was small with a double bed. Under the night stands were sticky bug traps. Our room was on the other side of the hotel second floor. The first room we were in the door would not close completely. The second room wasn’t much better. We asked for another towel set and were told there wasn’t any available until morning. The bathroom door would not close completely. The room was incredibly hot and it took several hours to cool down. The beds in the room we stayed in were over 3 feet off the floor. I’m 5 foot and it was difficult to get in the bed. Morning breakfast was nothing more than a couple of stale generic English muffins and brown orange juice that would not mix together. The coffee was very good. Checking out in the morning the same person who checked us in at night was on. She didn’t make eye contact or said anything when we checked out. It was awful! Not handicapped accessible or have handicapped parking. I would not recommend this location at all!

The room was fine but the parking lot and sidewalks need to be redone. Also, there was no one at the desk, you had to ring a bell. Breakfast was terrible - coffee was cold, no milk etc.

It’s was a horrible room. Spots and small holes on sheets. Smelled musty. Furniture was old, worn out and stained. Bathroom had mold on caulk and rust. Walls and doors were worn out and stained. Wallpaper peeling. The light and outlet next to the bed didn’t work. The remote control was filthy. I was afraid to touch anything. When I left my room for a bit, the door wouldn’t lock from the outside. I went and got the manager, I could tell he saw that my tv and room light was on. I put the do not disturb sign on the door. I told the housekeeping not to enter my room. When I got back a few hours later, my light and tv were turned off. I know the manager went back and turned it off. He should not have entered my room when the do not disturb sign was in the door. I was very upset. My cousin said the tag line for the hotel should be “you’ll never stay twice”. Never again. It is not representative of Days Inn and Wyndham. Wish I could get my money back.

Property was run down and in poor condition. Room was dirty. Bathroom had dirty washcloth left from previous occupant, shower head fell apart, floor still had hair/dirt all over and grime around all the edges. Bathroom door was grimy and very warped. Fridge and microwave were unplugged and had to be moved and plugged back in but took too long to cool down to be usable. Mirror and tv had dirty streaks.

Mold smell in the room, yellow stains on towels and sheets, brown stains on the floor we had to keep our shoes on the entire time and found a used condom under our sofa. The housekeepers don’t clean and it was such a horrible experience. Never again will I stay here or any other hotel with Inn attached to it!! Beware of this place!!

This was the most disgusting hotel in which we have ever stayed. There were stains on all the walls and furniture. Our son’s pillow had a blood stain on it which he discovered. The toilet seat was cracked in half. Dirty, balled up tissues filled the tissue box in the bathroom. It smelled overwhelmingly like marajuana. We had arrived late in the evening after a long drive, so we didn’t have any other options in terms of finding another place to stay, so we had to just tell our kids not to touch anything. We will never be staying at a Days Inn by Wyndham ever again.

That hotel was not the best hotel to stay with family because they were bed bugs on the beds, dead bugs everywhere on the floor, especially behind the couches the beds in the fridge. The door was broken. The carpets were stained it smelled, and it was just horrible. We tried to switch rooms and every room they showed us had bugs crawling on the walls dead everywhere. housekeeping was very rude when we wanted them to clean the bugs up and very unprofessional. I recommend never staying here unless you don’t mind the bugs in dirt.

Was looking for a cheap place to stay for one night and booked this hotel. Glad I did! Super nice for a Days Inn. Quiet and peaceful. Room was huge and had a full kitchen. Can’t believe it was such a great price near the train station. Would stay again!

A very old and outdated hotel. The room was old, no usb outlets to plug in anything. Carpets are old and dingy, so are the drapes. Looked like it has not been remodeled in over 20 years. Bathroom is very old, tiles are from the 90’s, dirty grout lines and the toilet needs to be replaced. Very old and dirty. The seat on the toilet is so old, the plastic is chipped and peeling away. Same with the shower, very old and dirty fixtures. This hotel is more like a truck stop motel that’s good to rest while driving if you don’t care about aesthetics. Walls in room have holes, furniture is stained and it’s not very welcoming.

The guy behind the desk was very nice and check in was smooth. Our room, 208, was ok. Newly renovated. But My siblings rooms were awful. One looked like a crime scene w dried blood on couch and door. The outside areas were worn down and dirty. Place is really a dump. In fact, I may contact Wyndham hotels because their name is on this place.

This is a property that desperately needs renovation and probably rebuilding. The management is helpful and friendly enough but the physical property is just getting old. The "continental breakfast" was as scant as the management could make it. The on-site "restaurant" is called the Amazonia. I never saw a customer inside it. The forward facing rooms with 2 beds are more modern and are satisfactory. The rooms in the back, upstairs up a staircase, with a single bed are very small. Our floor was uneven. The ironing board was held onto the wall with a single screw coming out of the drywall. Corners are chipped. Room carpet was not vacuumed. The beds were fine, linen was clean and fresh. The bathroom was cramped but clean, and the shower and hot water were satisfactory. The back parking lot was neglected, to be charitable. Dead plants in planters, weeds, loose gravel rather than pavement, derelict RV has been parked in the back for years. This Days Inn is a value at $92 per night in the Ridgefield/Branchville/Redding market where there are are literally no other motels. I have stayed at this motel several times for visiting friends in the area, but I do not know how it retains the Days Inn franchise rating. I hope that an investor can come in and modernize the property.

Refrigerator had rust on the door base. Bathroom: nightlight did not work, we had to leave the light on in order to see our way there during the night. Clean towels were not provided, had to reuse. There were rooms where people actually are living there. Do not recommend this facility for travel bookings.

I would consider this hotel a low budget hotel (it hasn't been renovated, the carpets outside the hotel rooms on the second floor smelled of smoke and the bed was not comfy (it dipped in the middle) and the overall vibe, though not bad, was just not in line with the $200/night that I paid. At least the sheets were soft! I very rarely leave reviews like this and have no problem staying at hotels that are not renovated or are in average condition but do have a problem paying $200 night for that kind of quality. I would invest your money elsewhere.

It’s was a horrible room. Spots and small holes on sheets. Smelled musty. Furniture was old, worn out and stained. Bathroom had mold on caulk and rust. Walls and doors were worn out and stained. Wallpaper peeling. The light and outlet next to the bed didn’t work. The remote control was filthy. I was afraid to touch anything. When I left my room for a bit, the door wouldn’t lock from the outside. I went and got the manager, I could tell he saw that my tv and room light was on. I put the do not disturb sign on the door. I told the housekeeping not to enter my room. When I got back a few hours later, my light and tv were turned off. I know the manager went back and turned it off. He should not have entered my room when the do not disturb sign was in the door. I was very upset. My cousin said the tag line for the hotel should be “you’ll never stay twice”. Never again. It is not representative of Days Inn and Wyndham. Wish I could get my money back.

There was a mistake in the booking and the hotel had me arriving on the 15th and leaving today. I am arriving today and leaving on the 17th. I have booked at another hotel in the meantime. The proprietor of the Wyndham refuse to change this and hung up on me. If there have been any charges to my credit card I will instruct to stop payment. I will also raise this issue with Wyndham Hotels.

This was a very last minute booking, as snow kept me from getting home and I needed to make arrangements to stay overnight somewhere, but figured this was a brand I recognized and could work with. The girl at the desk was on the phone when I arrived as well as the next morning, and seemed bothered to help me and annoyed by my questions, such as if there were anywhere I could fill my water bottle. She informed me there was no water anywhere on the facility other than that available for purchase. She would also not match the online price, so she instead watched as I went through the whole process of an online booking, rather than just helping me in person since I was already there. The room was enormous which was great, and even had a couch and felt almost suite sized, however there were cigarette burns and stains to the couch, hairs on the bed, and a flat sheet laid over the bed rather than a fitted sheet. I figured I would at least enjoy breakfast, but was unimpressed by the plain slices of bread, incorrectly labeled cereal that looked like it had been there quite some time, and half of a single bagel....and still no water. :(

The greeter we checked in with was not cooperative. My elderly parents were with us and despite having a first floor she would not place my parents on the first floor room, they had to carry everything up to the 2nd floor. Their room was small with a double bed. Under the night stands were sticky bug traps. Our room was on the other side of the hotel second floor. The first room we were in the door would not close completely. The second room wasn’t much better. We asked for another towel set and were told there wasn’t any available until morning. The bathroom door would not close completely. The room was incredibly hot and it took several hours to cool down. The beds in the room we stayed in were over 3 feet off the floor. I’m 5 foot and it was difficult to get in the bed. Morning breakfast was nothing more than a couple of stale generic English muffins and brown orange juice that would not mix together. The coffee was very good. Checking out in the morning the same person who checked us in at night was on. She didn’t make eye contact or said anything when we checked out. It was awful! Not handicapped accessible or have handicapped parking. I would not recommend this location at all!

Was looking for a cheap place to stay for one night and booked this hotel. Glad I did! Super nice for a Days Inn. Quiet and peaceful. Room was huge and had a full kitchen. Can’t believe it was such a great price near the train station. Would stay again!

This is definitely just for a need to have a quick stopover on your way somewhere at a cost-effective price. Yes the carpets are dingy but beyond that it's fine with comfortable bed and clean room. The so-called breakfast was only bread for toast and dry cereal. I have stayed twice now and I would go back as a comfortable stay over.

It was poorly lit, the mattress was way too soft, there were no tissues and it was on the cold side. Also, the in-room coffee was terrible and there was no plug for the bathtub. Breakfast was bad even for a continental.

Overall this was great and fine for staying. Beds are super comfortable. Bathroom walls and doors are filthy and all need to be wiped down. Ceilings all have signs of either mold or leaks in walls and need to be repainted. Run down motel but we would definitely stay again. Onsite restaurant/bar is great.

The room was fine but the parking lot and sidewalks need to be redone. Also, there was no one at the desk, you had to ring a bell. Breakfast was terrible - coffee was cold, no milk etc.

Un desastre, se aprovecharon que llegué con mi familia a la medianoche y no había a donde ir, y me cobraron de más, diciendo que en ese hotel no podían quedarse 5 personas en una habitación, a pesar de que se había reservado de esa forma en hoteles.con y Expedia. El señor que nos atendió fue muy grosero y dijo que no nos quejáramos y que la queja era con Expedia no con ellos y aprovechó para cobrar más dinero. Qué lástima que esto suceda a pesar que todo se hizo por la página de hoteles.com, y este hotel por sacar más plata cobró más dinero sabiendo que a esa hora y con familia, no había otra opción. Todo se hizo por la aplicación de hoteles.com y exijo se devuelva el dinero, la opción de 3 adultos y 2 menores la dio la aplicación y confiando en ello así lo hicimos. Y quien nos atendió fue muy grosero, ese tipo de personas no deberían atender público. Le indiqué que me quejaría en la aplicación y se rio diciendo que no le importaba y que ellos no tenían que respetar lo que dijera la aplicación.

the owner dident even knock just opened the door on sunday moring 2 check & see if they could clened the room i prusemed that they would come back later & clean my room since i was gone from 10.00 am until 7 pm that night they dident , wen i was checking out on monday moring i told them that no body cleaned my room ,he said that i was in the room wen they came in two clean it ,i told him that i have stayed in many hotels from the east coast two the west coast & my room was cleaned every day,no mater what time they had two clean the room they did. i told him that i wouldent give it an good review ,

First off, let me say that this is NOT a hotel. The Days Inn Ridgefield is a motel. The Indian restaurant advertised on the webpage is in fact a Mexican restaurant with a different name. The lobby smelled like old food. The staff was rude and unhelpful. The room was not adequately cleaned. The exterior hallway leading to the rooms was filled with trash, fishing poles, and cigarette butts. I contacted the reservation company I used and the hotel front desk and no one offered any assistance. I do not recommend staying at the days Inn and will certainly never stay there again myself.
