Check in was a slow nightmare. Fine. But No towels or wash clothes available. Had to order my own to the room. Ice machine was down which I also had to order. Was disturbed throughout the night and early morning by random people knocking and trying to get in my room. Left before breakfast. Waste of a night.

We're can l start spiders everywhere. Jacuzzi doesn't work. When l ask the manager he came to the room. He checked the jacuzzi he told me they not working. If l didn't like the results l could leave. I was very offended. By his comment. I stay cause l had no other hotels to go. I deserve my money back. Definitely reporting this to the. Better business bureau

The room is in poor condition, with a hole in the bathroom door, graffiti carved into both doors, the toilet is leaking and clogged, the shower flooded the bathroom (and soaked my clothes 🙃😰), the peep hole has tissue stuffed into it, they told me there are no clean towels (which I’ve asked for multiple times over three days), the drawers in the side tables are busted in and fake so there’s no place to put anything, the mini fridge is also leaking, all the surfaces are sticky, the ice machine is overflowing, and the lock on the door doesn’t work. Also the floor in the closet is raised so I keep tripping/ stubbing my toe omw out of the bathroom (lol ow !). Also, just a heads up if you stay for multiple days, no housekeeping will be done (and you probably won’t get clean towels either.) do not recommend. Although they do not require a deposit, they take cash (atm in lobby!), you can pay online, they have both smoking & nonsmoking rooms, they’ll let you check in a little early, they have free parking, and they’re located within walking distance from both a gas station & a Dunkin.

The floor and fixtures were clean. The bed was clean but smelled of stale cigarettes. The chair was broken. The room smelled of cigarettes. However, the parking lot appeared to be watched over by security patrol. We spent less than a hundred dollars and got what we needed: a bed and a bathroom. Breakfast was not included but there was a great diner just around the corner within walking distance. And we were a few minutes from the shore.

Booked a jacuzzi tub room that was smoking, to not get that. The jacuzzi tub didn't look the cleanest, so it didn't get used. There were no towels in the room, no microwave, no coffee maker, and no phone. The bed was comfortable, even tho it had burn holes in it lol the hotel also had some strange characters hanging around there. At one point the police were even there.

This waa probably the worst motel I have ever stayed at. It was dirty, unkept, and the staff were horrible. We rented a room with a jacuzzi tub.. and the place had NO TOWELS. We called the front desk 15 times between myself and my husband, the desk answered once. Telling us they "would call us back if they found some towels". We over heard other guets complaining about there not being towels either. There was no mini fridge, no ice, tape hanging from the ceiling and paint ripped off the walls. We had to go to walmart down the street to buy towels to be able to shower or use the tub. The tub was surrounded by poloshed marble that turned into an ice skating rink the second a drop of water touched it. Waste of money and time.

The sleeping area was decent. The bathroom had black mold on the ceiling and the shower head had to be held up by hand and the bathroom door was tore off of 2 of the 3 hinges. The jacuzzi tub faucet had low water pressure and no hot water

The first room we were assigned had a terrible odor and the bathroom ceiling tiles were black with mold. He second room smelled better and the bathroom ceiling was ok but mold was along the baseboard and the bed sheets had holes in them. “Breakfast” came in a bag with granola bars and an apple.

We did not stay at this property. Luckily there was still a room available down the street at a different hotel. The building is in bad condition. It looks like a lot of water damage and rot, likely mold. The exterior lighting in the stairs did not work. The building doesn’t look like it has been cleaned or maintenance in years. The room looked like it had not been cleaned since the last person had stayed there. There were no blankets or sheets on the beds other than the top sheet which had burn holes in it. The pillows looked like someone had just slept in the bed. There were no towels. It looked like the floor had extensive water damage. Part of the floor was broken and a screw was sticking out. The bathroom was dirty, the garbage had not been emptied. We did not feel comfortable staying in this building let alone the room.

I booked a room for today and I could NOT stay. The entrance meaning the lobby area has an odor that needs to be addressed… the stairwell was more tolerable. The room I had- the non smoking room reeked of-smoke or some type of ador. The sheets had cigarette burns. There were no rags or towels in the room, when I-went to ask for them I was informed that the policy is two rags and two towels per room. I booked a room that sleeps 4 - what was I to do with 2 rags for 4 of us. There were spills of sort of the floor and wall. A hole in the shower. The refrigerator had some brown color running through the ice. Give credit to the person who cleaned the room the bed was well made and the floor seemed clean… but it’s a despicable place. The elevator also smelled better than the lobby. The hallway to the 2nd floor has trash all over. I was embarrassed to take the kids in and so happy I let them stay in the vehicle while I cried in. The staff told me he could go wash some towel and take it to me in an hour… I appreciated his effort but it was just deplorable. I lost $125.75 of my hard earned money. It may not be much for some but after driving 4 hours to get to an event and then needed a break to rest this was unacceptable. I get that I get what I pay for but really $120.75 for what. I don’t like to speak badly of things and advocate for people to change things but this was crazy. We were too tired to drive back tonight so I had to find somewhere at the last minute smh.

This was the filthiest and most run down place I have ever made a reservation at. It was incredibly unsafe and had soft sink holes on the balcony and many of the steps in the stairwell were broken. It lacked basic necessities like towels and soap. I requested a refund after checking in to my room because the shades on the window were broken so I couldn’t close the shades so anyone walking by could see in. This place needs to be shut down by the board of health.

This property should be removed from Expedia. It is very dingy, moldy, no towels in rooms, and stained linen. One of the sheets had a burned cigarette hole in it. We felt so unsafe that we took a quick shower (we used our beach towels to dry) and immediately checked out paying full night for a two hour stay. We learned from family members later that the motel is used to house homeless people and migrants. Do not under any circumstances bring your family here. We saw a drug deal right next to our room and a very strong smell of marijuana as we passed by a room with a partially opened door. The picture shown on their website as well as photos on Expedia are false. I am sorry to say this place is truly a dump. We ended up paying an exorbitant price at the Hampton Inn due to last minute registration.

Upon arrival the lobby was occupied by people yelling and arguing. Unfortunately it was a Holiday and I pre-paid online so the option yo relocate wasnt available. Upon entering the room it was filthy, trash and cigarette butts in the corners, the floor was gritty (not clean) and the general appearance was old and run down (I believe the booking photos were decades old). There was "NO" WiFi available even though the listing stated that there was. The beds had top and bottom sheets but no blankets or bedspread, i asked for a blanket at the desk and the answer I recieved was "most people don\'t want them so we dont have any" but i insisted so the clerk disappeared and then returned with one that was rolled in a ball, dirty and had at least a dozen cigarette burn holes. I then realized that there were no towels in the room so I again went to the desk, the clerk groaned and then disappeared again. When he returned he gave me 3 floor mats and said "thats all we have". I was exhausted from driving all day so I attempted to go to sleep but there was constant yelling, fighting, crashing and door slamming coming from the other rooms that went on all night. I got out of bed at 6:30 a.m. after an unrestful night, showered and left. Also there was no continental breakfast, again the listing stated there was supposed to be. I will never stay there again and recommend no else does either.

The place is right next to highway, so expect the noise. The room is clean enough. Bathroom door was shutting, but it was damaged, and the draw in the furniture did not shut properly either - both of these are cosmetic problem which I did not mind. However, the room was oozing with smell of smoke, even though I booked a non-smoking room. The hallway was littered with trash.

The floor and fixtures were clean. The bed was clean but smelled of stale cigarettes. The chair was broken. The room smelled of cigarettes. However, the parking lot appeared to be watched over by security patrol. We spent less than a hundred dollars and got what we needed: a bed and a bathroom. Breakfast was not included but there was a great diner just around the corner within walking distance. And we were a few minutes from the shore.

I arrived at the hotel with three other people but only two of us were staying in the room. I gave the staff my Information and they asked how many people were staying and I told them two. They asked me if I wanted a king size bed and I said no. They then told me that I booked a reservation for one king size bed. I checked my reservation and it showed two beds. I don’t know what that was about. The room smelled like cigarettes. I had to ask for two new sheets. My new sheet had a hole in it. My cousin had to get a new pillow.Someone burned a dollar sign into the bathroom wall. The hallway carpet was dirty and there was trash and a bloody tissue by the elevator. I’ll never go back there again.

Upon arrival the lobby was occupied by people yelling and arguing. Unfortunately it was a Holiday and I pre-paid online so the option yo relocate wasnt available. Upon entering the room it was filthy, trash and cigarette butts in the corners, the floor was gritty (not clean) and the general appearance was old and run down (I believe the booking photos were decades old). There was "NO" WiFi available even though the listing stated that there was. The beds had top and bottom sheets but no blankets or bedspread, i asked for a blanket at the desk and the answer I recieved was "most people don\'t want them so we dont have any" but i insisted so the clerk disappeared and then returned with one that was rolled in a ball, dirty and had at least a dozen cigarette burn holes. I then realized that there were no towels in the room so I again went to the desk, the clerk groaned and then disappeared again. When he returned he gave me 3 floor mats and said "thats all we have". I was exhausted from driving all day so I attempted to go to sleep but there was constant yelling, fighting, crashing and door slamming coming from the other rooms that went on all night. I got out of bed at 6:30 a.m. after an unrestful night, showered and left. Also there was no continental breakfast, again the listing stated there was supposed to be. I will never stay there again and recommend no else does either.

This place stinks of mold. Carpets are dirty and smelly. The hotel have a no refund policy because they know the place is trash and upon your arrival you might request a refund. I was driving when i made this booking and i specifically wanted to stay sat to Sunday but when i did it for some reason my dates was wrong and it was made for Sunday. So I tried to contact bookings and the facility but i came to find out there's no refund policy for this hotel. So i decided to go to the hotel to find out if i could change the Sunday to Saturday. The front desk guy was very rude and said to me you made a mistake and i cant do anything for you. I cant give you a room, all my rooms are booked..so you can come back sunday for tour reservation or cancel. And i knew if i canceled I would lose my money and he does too. I saw him showing empty rooms to a guest who had just walked in to look for a room and he was given the choice to choose but he wouldn't give me a room for the night because I made a mistake with my date by not reviewing my booking. Check in was a slow nightmare. Fine. But No towels or wash clothes available. Had to order my own to the room. Ice machine was down which I also had to order. Was disturbed throughout the night and early morning by random people knocking and trying to get in my room. Left before breakfast. Waste of a night.

I stayed there for 2 nights. I left the hotel the first day around 8am. When I returned after 4pm the room had not been cleaned. When I asked the front desk clerk to get the room cleaned he said the cleaning staff had gone home for the day. WHAT?! UNACCEPTABLE. This place was filthy and in disrepair. The "help" didn't give me towels until I had asked a third time. Then she gave me attitude and purposely de-activated my key card. Passive-aggressiveness is not good hospitality. I left on the second day of a five day stay.

What a terrible experience. West Haven econo lodge staff was incredibly rude and unhelpful. We booked and prepaid for our stay long ahead of time on Expedia because we are a large family on a very very tight budget. On our travels to CT, we got stuck in Chicago because of repeated flight cancellations. We booked a hotel room for the night and immediately called Econo Lodge to let them know what was going on and that we still wanted and needed the reservation and that we would still pay for the night we would be missing. The lady was reassuring and kind on the phone. Said she put a note about our conversation in the computer. She said it was nothing to worry about because it was prepaid, but that she was holding it for us. The next day when we arrived, they say they cancelled the reservation. They also explain that they have no rooms available except on with a single bed. It was horrible. Our kids went to use the bathroom in their lobby-the lights didn't work, the mirror was boarded up, it was a mess! We opened a case with Expedia, who was awesome the entire time while trying to handle the mess! They did everything possible to remedy the situation that Econo lodge caused.

If you do pay at property, better be there be 3pm check in; otherwise they cancel your reservation, no call no nothing. My husband got there at 330, they gave oir reservation away and hotel was then booked full. We were stuck with no where to go. Then travelocity advise....next time book directly with the hotel to avoid the hotel canceling your reservation. Overall...HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!

Was okay until interrupted with someone trying to get into my room with a key card they were provided with by the front desk. Did ruin my stay and threw me off I was scared it would happen again. I opened the door the second time they came back banging on the door the guy didn’t announce if he worked with the hotel or just a customer and came into my room and begin questioning me about my stay. Which I paid for to enjoy time away from home. But it was interrupted. I also went to get my food outside I ordered and a tall black man on the right side downstairs of the hotel kept trying to get me to come into his room yelling me to come to him and I was like terrified. Overall I slept great.

Cheap and shabby but the room was quite clean. The rear parking lot was right out of a creepy movie and doors were open all over the building but there were also plenty of cameras facing the parking. We stayed in a king room that had been advertised at 100 feet but it was more like 225. The lock worked but the security latch was loose and you could see light and feel wind between the door and its frame. There were two head shaped holes in the bathroom door. But the clerk was helpful and assisted us to close the hanging curtains with the help of a mini binder clip, which worked just fine so I was thankful. It also blocked the exterior breeze. The shower was decent and the towel was newish and soft. The packaged soap was delightfully moisturizing but I didn't try the shampoo or lotion. Breakfast was supposed to be included but was not served by 7am. Would not stay here again unless it was an emergency, and even then I might request a front facing room as the rear was so bleak. I should have taken photos but was so tired I forgot.

The room is in poor condition, with a hole in the bathroom door, graffiti carved into both doors, the toilet is leaking and clogged, the shower flooded the bathroom (and soaked my clothes 🙃😰), the peep hole has tissue stuffed into it, they told me there are no clean towels (which I’ve asked for multiple times over three days), the drawers in the side tables are busted in and fake so there’s no place to put anything, the mini fridge is also leaking, all the surfaces are sticky, the ice machine is overflowing, and the lock on the door doesn’t work. Also the floor in the closet is raised so I keep tripping/ stubbing my toe omw out of the bathroom (lol ow !). Also, just a heads up if you stay for multiple days, no housekeeping will be done (and you probably won’t get clean towels either.) do not recommend. Although they do not require a deposit, they take cash (atm in lobby!), you can pay online, they have both smoking & nonsmoking rooms, they’ll let you check in a little early, they have free parking, and they’re located within walking distance from both a gas station & a Dunkin.

This is not a safe area. Our car’s right side rear mirror was stolen at the motel parking lot. The room was shabby and unclean, there was no room service during our three-day stay; lack of the basic supplies: no towels, hangers, no coffee maker; The air conditioner in our room didn’t work, WiFi signal was not good; Breakfast was just a paper bag of snack, no coffee or water. Expedia should not list this motel on its website.

My daughter's and I stayed in 2 different rooms and in mine there weren't any towels I asked the front desk person for them and he gave me a hand towel and one for the floor. Then for breakfast he said that the coffee machine wasn't working and the continental breakfast consisted of stale pastry, a small apple and a granola bar. For my daughter's room there wern't any blanket's or bed spreads to keep them warm. Also on check-in he didn't speak very well English. Needless to say we won't be going back there ever again.

Let me start with a positive: My bed was surprisingly comfortable. That's it for the positives. Every photo provided by the hotel has to be more than 20 years old. Place is very run down and looks nothing like the photos. The room was very run down also. Flooring is broken and missing in places. Cabinets doors fall off when opened or are taped shut. I also used that to wipe down the desk, the side table, the sink and toilet seat. The sheets and bedding look clean but the comforter went on the unused chair for good measure. Next morning I went to the lobby for the complimentary continental breakfast (from 6:30 to 9:30) around 7 am. Nothing was set out. I asked at the desk when they were planning to put things out. He said they stopped serving when Covid started. He offered me a protein bar. I passed on that. I set the search parameters on Travelocity for continental breakfast and this establishment still claims to provide that. I don't think a protein bar should qualify for that. You need to request daily room cleaning and I did yet they never did it even though I repeatedly requested I rarely like to express displeasure with poor services. I'm very laid back. I just want to warn potential guests that this place is not what is advertised.

We drove almost 9 hours, from Virginia, and were extremely tire but were not allowed to check in early. We were assigned a non smoking room but as soon as we walked in the stench of cigarette was overwhelming. There were cigarette burns on the bedspread. The toilet could be flushed but the tank would not fill unless we removed the lid and jiggle the lever. We reported it but nobody came. Free breakfast was offered but when we asked where to go we were given an apple, honey bun and granola bar in a brown paper bag. Housekeeping never came during our stay, we waited two days for clean towels that we requested. The window curtain was falling off the hooks and had to pinch it with the door so people from outside couldn’t look in.

The listing is a lie to the extent that there is no food service at all, let alone a “free continental breakfast”. The place is falling apart. No towels were provided. People passed out on the front sidewalk. My bathroom door had a fist-sized hole in it.

Hotel in terrible condition. Half the paint peeled off my room door and others. Hallways not well maintained. Signs posted all over advertising 24 hr surveillance of building and parking. Bedding had black marks on sheets. Front desk behind plate glass protection.

The motel is old and outdated there is no privacy I could literally hear other customers conversations thru the walls the hotel states it offers continental breakfast but literally gives people brown paper bags with a apple a honeybun and a granola bar there wasn’t a wash cloth or towel in the bathroom the curtains were ripped and the overall cleanliness was a 4/10
