It’s an amazing hotel , friendly staff and very clean. The only problem was the parties upstairs, it would take forever to get an elevator and people at the party were rude. One of the party guest even want to take my takeout. They were crowing up the elevator and I saw one of the party guest threaten a hotel guest. I believe the hotel should have a separate elevator or make them take the stairs.

We liked staying at Eaton. The room was a bit small and the overhead lamp above the table/sofa was hung too low. Apart from that, it was really nice staying here. Having a coworking space and nice quiet lounge was a big plus.

The parking/ Valet is awful. It’s too expensive! Absolutely ridiculous, I got a rental car from the airport, got to the hotel parked the car only asked for the car one time in 4 days and when checking out. My parking bill was $201.00. Absolutely ridiculous. The hotel was a good stay the staff were pleasant, but I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND, parking somewhere else and walking to the hotel. I am very very disappointed that I had to pay $201.00 after I already spent so much on this hotel.

I had a great experience staying at this hotel over the Fourth of July. The location was excellent—just a short walk from the metro, and close to plenty of fast food options, CVS, and Walgreens. It made getting to all the major government buildings, museums, and even the ballpark super convenient. The hotel itself was clean and easily accessible. Check-in at the front desk was quick and smooth, and all of the staff—from the hotel team to the coffee shop downstairs—were friendly and helpful. The coffee shop, Baker’s Daughter, was a real bonus. It had a great variety of breakfast options and quick bites, perfect for fueling up before or after a day of exploring. Our room had a fridge and we received bottled water daily, which was a thoughtful touch. There was even a record player in the room—such a unique and fun feature! My only minor complaints: there’s no ice machine, and the lobby could get a little crowded due to people heading to the rooftop bar. But these were small issues compared to the overall positive experience. I would definitely stay here again the next time I’m in Washington, DC!

My initial experience at check in was not great. I arrived a little after 4p and my room was not ready, I was told I would receive a call which I never did even though they say they did. After that my experience changed bc while I was waiting I discovered the Allegory bar. The atmosphere was chill, the drinks were amazing and I even went back down a second time for another drink and to eat dinner. The service was great. I utilized the gym in the morning, which was a bit small, but I was the only one in there at the time so that was not much of an issue. I love the record player in the rooms and overall esthetic. Will return

Very central and hip hotel, convenient to dining and all of the National Mall attractions (20 minute walk). The Eaton has a lot to offer - rooftop bar, speakeasy, several restaurants, however the hotel seems to cater more to locals than to its guests. The Allegory bar was closed for a private party as was the rooftop bar (thus tons of people in lines in the lobby, elevator from 4pm - late night- lots of partying all night) Also, the Wellness Center, which was a main draw for our visit, was closed most of the time on Saturday and Sunday. For the very high rate we paid and the tiny mediocre room, I won't be returning. One of the restaurants was closed, too, though we did enjoy the Baker's Daughter cafe'. All in all, it's a cool place that is more set up for the locals than its guests.

You have to take into account that there is a club on the roof of the hotel, so it is very noisy under the windows at night. A lot of people, the same elevator for guests of the hotel and for people who use the club. In general, the hotel on weekends is very busy and very noisy. It's hard to relax there.

Phenomenal spot! Hip & cool vibe. Coffee shop/bakery/sandwich shop in lobby (Baker’s Daughter) is great. Allegory speakeasy off lobby has incredible drinks. Rooftop bar, Wild Days, has its own awesome cocktails and light bites. Restaurant off lobby, Michele’s, is a nice spot for lunch or dinner. Wellness on 2nd floor has a gym, sauna, yoga, and massage. Rooms are well decorated and comfortable. Can’t race enough about this hotel!

The Eaton DC is my favorite hotel in DC. The rooms are well-appointed, and each has a few good books, vintage hit records, and an actual record player! The restaurant, cafe, rooftop bar, and speakeasy on site are each worth a visit for the service, food, drinks, and ambiance, even if you don't get a room.

Great stay - super friendly staff, easy check in and out (valet parking is pricey but they let us keep the car there most of the next day while we were sight-seeing so worth it). Room was comfortable, nicely designed, immaculately clean, and quiet.

The room was not very clean when we arrived. Listed in the amenities was Bluetooth speaker which was false information. The room was quite dark which wouldn’t have been an issue if all of the lights worked. We let them know three separate times that the light was broken but it was never seen to.

It was a really nice hotel experience. The room was spacious enough for one or two people, and both the room and bathroom were very clean. The bathroom had a stylish, grown and modern feel. I’ll definitely be coming back to this hotel. The location is also convenient—just 10–20 minutes from most places.

This is a good value stay. Convenient location for tourists including public transit although we mostly walked down to the museums. Also near the sports stadiums. Room was nice, some cute hipster touches. The shower was very awkward -- you'll get soaked with cold water turning it on. The gym was sub par, not very clean and barely enough to get a cursory workout in. Forget it if someone else is there when you arrive. They offer yoga but at odd times -- what tourist wants to be around their hotel room at noon? Even 6am would be preferable. Coffee provided in lobby but no milk; steal it from the attached breakfast restaurant, which btw is not good. If you are eating there out of convenience, sign up for InKind for a discount.

We found several uncomfortable issues with our room on the 7th floor, facing the K Street: - the windows are not sufficiently sound-proofed considering the loud noises coming from both the rooftop bar and the street. Had to use earplugs to sleep. - the water controls in the shower are - under the shower in the back. No way of getting a shower without starting with a cold one. - there were only 3 hangers in the room. Lots of rack space standing empty - the breakfast offering in the on-premises cafeteria is unsatisfactory, for selection and quality. We suggest using other cafes nearby. - the rooftop bar is like a very loud disco. Even the maitre’d at the door seemed to think we are of the wrong demographic- she did not raise her eyes from her laptop when we walked in. On the positive side - front desk and valet services work very well.

It is absolutely a happening place, with a regular crowd of folks showing up for the rooftop bar. And the room had a few improvements that could be made (the record player which was hyped as a perk didn't have a needle for instance) but none of that overshadowed the fact that it was a comfy bed, with a decent amount of space, and excellent water pressure. Would definitely stay again.

The room was very nicely appointed with designer-style furniture and rugs and tile. There's a record player (however the needle on mine didn't work), wifi, fancy aluminum water bottles, coffee service (both pods and steeped) and a kettle, but no tea bags - this is all part of the city/resort fee. I did really like the lighting in the room. It's both stylish and functional, with multiple lamps and dimmers that I appreciate for mood lighting and night lights. However, I was surprised that there were no robes in the bathroom. While the room had a steamer, I had to request an iron and ironing board as I prefer that. My room was on the 4th floor facing the back, so my view was of A/C units and very little sunlight, unfortunately. Staff was initially not helpful at check-in and I didn't get access until after check-in time (they had a snafu with their linen delivery truck, apparently), but ultimately were quite helpful and gracious during my stay. I'd return!

This hotel is not horrible. The service was good and it was mostly clean. That being said, this place is all aesthetic with little substance - it’s a hotel that thinks being a boutique is simply putting a record player in the room, which are beyond small, small enough that I hit my head on lamps every time I was near the dangling one. The bathroom sliding doors are poorly maintained, barely slide and when they do it’s with lots of effort and noise. I’ve never seen a bathroom where you need to put your room key into a reader to get electric, and to have that in a hotel in the nice part of DC is mindblowing. Overly expensive, potentially worth it if you like bars as it does have some experiences, but don’t go expecting a very nice room. It’s exactly like every other hotel/motel/Fairfield in the city except it pretends it’s nicer because it has music and a bar. Do more research than I did.

I had never been so pumped to enter a room until I stayed at Eaton DC. As soon as I walked in, I felt like I had traveled back in time. The room had such great aesthetic. From the record player to the pictures on the wall to the chair and desk by the window, it had so much character. The bed was unbelievably soft like I was sleeping on a bed of feathers. I can't wait to book my next stay.

Simone was very helpful. I was glad to visit again. I tried to register for the Brilliant app to get points towards stays but kept getting requests for a code that was not recognized when entered. That was frustrating. Also it took awhile for the deposits for incidentals to be released to my bank.

Our stay at Eaton DC was overall very enjoyable and relaxing, though it did start off with a few bumps. At first, we had some issues with the room, but the housekeeping staff and front desk were extremely understanding and helpful. They quickly accommodated us with a room that better suited our needs and made sure we had everything necessary for a comfortable stay. We stayed for 11 nights, and the staff was consistently responsive whenever we needed anything. The room we ended up in was spacious enough for us, which we appreciated. One thing to note: the rooms come with a cooler rather than a standard refrigerator, and it doesn’t get cold enough to store food. Since we needed a fridge and microwave, we asked the front desk, and they brought them up to our room right away, which made a big difference. We didn’t get a chance to try the wellness center or other hotel amenities, so I can’t comment on those. But based on our experience with the staff and the room, once the initial issues were resolved, our stay turned out to be comfortable and relaxing. Thank you to all of the staff involved in making our stay enjoyable, especially Faye and Maggie for their kindness and support throughout our visit

Customer service was excellent! Shout out to Jean! Check-in process was seamless and great! It was my first time staying here and it won’t be my last! I stayed in the suite and the room was absolutely beautiful! We loved using the vinyl record playing and the facts about Duke Ellington. This hotel has everything you would want a rooftop bar, a speakeasy, beautiful gallery, and a place for breakfast! It was just amazing! Don’t think twice book your stay here especially if you are a music and art lover

While I have stayed at fancier hotels, I thoroughly enjoyed staying here at the Eaton! Overall, the service throughout the hotel was excellent! The rooms were very clean, & the shower was great! I really appreciated the free breakfast vouchers, enjoyed an evening at a Tibetan sound healing that was included for Brilliance members, ate dinner at the lovely, high energy restaurant there at the restaurant Hotel, and enjoyed two nights at Allegory, one of the top 50 bars in the world. I would definitely stay at The Eaton again!

I loved loved loved my stay here! Shout out to Simone at the front desk who was so kind and made me so comfortable from the jump. I’m a solo woman traveler so anyone who is kind is a win in my book! This place is super close to a metro station and walking distance to the White House. I will 100% be returning here when I come back to DC!

Eaton is a beautifully appointed hotel. The location is walkable to many popular local spots and for tourist sights. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. We stayed with our 7 year old son and our small dog. Eaton was a great choice for everyone in the family. We will definitely stay at the Eaton next time we are in DC.

Quiet, clean, close to the convention center, however, I had a short meeting at the restaurant on the front of the hotel, $30 for a glass of house wine and a can of IPA... really? the lady serving was nice and I felt ashame to leave her only $3 tip, but now the bill was $33, translated to Canadian $$$, equals $45... wow, for a glass of wine and can of beer... !!!

Market place for breakfast was closed all three days for breakfast. Looked forward to happy hour at the rooftop bar but that was closed for private event all three nights. Air in room would not go below 68 degrees and was a bit warm in the room.

Truly appreciated the nod to social topics incl. the library selection, art installation, and documentaries shown. Really great! The bakery was great, too. The only issue was that on Sunday, neither of their bar/restaurants was open at 9 PM. Even though, front desk informed us that the rooftop bar would be open, they decided to close early. Overall, great hotel.

What a gem! Love this "boutique" hotel in DC. The staff is very friendly and welcoming - always willing to help make your stay better! Breakfast and dinner options in the hotel were very good - and easy to walk to other locations if you desire. Will definitely stay here again!

Loved everything except parking situation. Also, was bummed that the restaurant attached to the hotel was closed Sunday. Room was clean, and comfortable. Refreshingly like home instead of a run of the mill room. Decor was midcentury modern, beautifully curated and supplied with vinyl records and player.

The morning and afternoon shift front desk were helpful, you just have to work on how to handle both hotel guests and club goers without getting frustrated.
