Hotel seems decent. Not sure if it's a hotel. There was no front desk in the morning to check out. We received a message stating that we would be given a keypad code to enter the room, but we never received it. It was a regular key that was changed to keyless while we were there. We were told a member of management would be present when they would open rooms to change the key system, but it doesn’t seem there was anyone with them. Upon returning to our room in the evening, all the dirt, wood chips, and dust from the door entry system being changed were left on the floor at the entrance of the room. Upon going to ask the front desk to have it cleaned, there was no one in staff that could go as the cleaning staff left at 5 pm. None of the elevators were working either. The Tiki bar had very cheap drinks and live music, and the Hydeaway restaurant had good food and very nice staff. Don’t think we will stay here again.

Fantastic front desk staff. Exceptionally clean. No hassle anything. Patio is my favorite place with their delicious free in room coffee. You just can’t get all of this anywhere else for 3x the cost. Pool and spa were perfect temps. Service at the poolside tiki bar was outstanding. Found it a month ago. Back twice already. Whatever negative reviews you ve read, I assure you the issues have been resolved. Trust a frequent traveler.

Pool area is nice & relaxing. Has a cute Tiki that is open in the evening for food and drink. Hot tub is a little small with to much clorine. Room is a decent size for 2 people.

When we checked we were told 2 of the 3 rooms were ready had to got to the 4 floor with no elevator. Had to play with the key to even get in your room, didn’t lock on its own had to lock it with the key ! Place looked like a crack house ! Between the trash and the smell it was disgusting! Rooms were dirty! Lights came on by themselves! Not enough towels! Pool area had nothing but broken chairs and loungers and trash in every corner! Outside of the pool area people were smoking pot ! Bartender at the pool was not happy about making drinks that she had to put effort into making and all that was there were locals not even enough room for hotel guests! It was dirty! Trash was at the end of the halls for days! I have seen better places in 3rd world countries! No phones in the rooms to even call the desk no elevator to go down either! Half the time no one was even at the desk!

They need more lounge chairs for laying out in the sun mine broke while I was laying there and honestly they should have comped me for the day. I had to use my lawn chair out of my car and I end up hurting my wrist... Then they bring out some more shares that was after the fact of no compensation

We have been traveling to Boca for over 12 years. We have stayed at the Boca Plaza multiple times a year. The hotel has gradually declined. Ever since Covid and a third party taking over, it is difficult to speak to someone at the hotel directly. We often wish to get a certain room but since communication is difficult we can’t even put in our request. The site needs repair. This past visit the guest elevator was not working for over a week. Towards the end of our stay the service elevator also did not work!!! Very difficult to get your belongings up or down especially since my husband has back issues. Additionally, during our stay on several occasions outside guests coming to the Tiki bar brought their dogs. They allowed them to roam not in a leash. On one occasion the dog went swimming in The pool!!! We have a dog, so we like animals, but not everyone does. I certainly don’t want to swim where the animals are swimming! Ceiling fan in room was missing one blade. You could not use on medium or high without a terrible noise. The mattresses were lumpy. They used to be very comfortable. Tiki bar seemed to close very early. Earlier than the advertised times. The internet is spotty at best. Considering everything operates off the internet it might be time to upgrade. The hotel could use upgrades in general. We have definitely researched other options for the area. It’s a shame as the hotel is located in a good spot for us and not too many offer a private balcony.

Although we were able to check in a bit early, we waited 30 minutes for anyone to be at the front desk to get our key. Room looked nothing like what was advertised and we upgraded to. It was DIRTY. VERY DIRTY. The sliding door broke within 5 minutes of checking in. I’m asking for a refund. DO NOT RECOMMEND.

The biggest complaint that I have is the cleanliness, or, more accurately, the lack thereof. There were roaches and bugs in the stair wells, halls, and elevator, of which I had to use the “service elevator” because the guest elevator didn’t work. But, even with all of that, I didn’t complain. I felt that I could make it work because the room wasn’t terribly dirty and I never found a bug in my room. However, I received terrible news, the worst that you can get about a family member, and had to cut my 9 day vacation to 2 days. They didn’t care. To book the room through Expedia I had to pay for it all up front and it was non-refundable. The price wasn’t any different had I been doing the reservation day by day, so there was no advantage to me, but I did it all at once anyway. They don’t care that someone died. That I could NOT have foreseen this. They just wanted my money. They got paid for an entire 6 days without me getting a dime back. But, that is okay because I now know that I will never stay there nor use Expedia again. Lessons were learned. I will be posting this review on every platform possible. Traveler beware.

Our recent stay at this property was unfortunately marked by a series of disappointing experiences that reflected a lack of maintenance and organization. The room itself showed clear signs of aging, most notably in the bathroom, where the tub had visible stains that raised serious concerns about cleanliness and hygiene. Additionally, the toilet paper holder had clearly been repeatedly dislodged from the wall—repairs looked hastily done, and when maintenance attempted to resecure it using the same damaged area, it fell off again shortly after. There were also several surprises during check-in that were not disclosed during booking through Expedia. Guests are required to submit a $100 security deposit, along with uploading a government-issued photo ID for all occupants. This policy caused significant inconvenience when my son—who arrived earlier than I due to flight delays—was denied access to the room despite having uploaded his ID and the deposit being paid. Even after I phoned the property to explain the situation, staff withheld the room key until I arrived nearly eight hours later. Service was also lacking in other areas. The room was extremely dirty. The fan had the thickest coat of dust on it. The towels were stained, the kitchen area was filthy, the curtains in the room were filthy, super outdated furniture, bed kept moving and the room smelled horrible.

The following were in poor condition: Floors, beds, bed comforter had many holes. No hangers for clothing. Refrigerator froze all the creamers. They had a coffee pot , but no coffee, sugar or creamers provided. I brought my own coffee and filters and they agreed to give us creamers. Coffee is important to me as I am an early riser. Also a roach came out at the sink and I moved all my toiletries away. Not a place I will return to and I do NOT recommend!!!! We stayed here years ago and it has gone downhill terribly!!

My stay was good. The front desk staff was nice. My room was clean. If I had to nitpick the door lock could have been more secure but maybe it was an older property. Other than that not bad!

It looks like a very nice hotel from online and even the lobby area was very nice the guest elevator is not in working order you have to use the employee elevator the mattress in bed in our room was terrible it definitely needs a replaced I thought it was going to break in the middle of the night with just us laying on it we had no washcloths in our room we asked for some and they did not have any we asked for extra towels they did not have any check in was very easy and the ladies at the front desk was very nice

Received several e-mails about uploading my ID and credit card as this was a "virtual" check in process with no person available at desk and that check in code and room number would be emailed the night before. When this never came and check in time was approaching, I became concerned and called/emailed to find out what was happening. A couple hours before check in was told no problem, there was indeed a person at desk 24/7. Great, crisis averted! When I arrive I am handed an actual old fashioned key, nothing virtual whatsoever. And have to give ID and credit card again. I get to the room and there is a broken electronic lock and a key hole for my old fashioned key - ok, it still works, no problem. I paid for a "King Balcony" room, but I'm on the first floor. That's ok, the sliding glass door looks like it opens to a nice patio. I try to open the door, it almost falls out of the wall! Ask for maintenance at the desk twice, no one ever comes. It is now 10 pm and my husband was finally able to jiggle the door into the groove enough to get it to catch in the lock so that I would feel safe enough to sleep there. I was told no other rooms were available by the person at the front desk, they were sold out. NEVER AGAIN BOCA PLAZA!!!

The layout of the hotel room was great! I very much enjoyed the small kitchen and balcony. The bed was comfy as well. There was some minor wear and tear on the furniture, but the room was very clean and there were no bugs (not even one). The staff was always friendly and helpful. The front desk is staffed 24h, and I had no problem checking in even though I arrived late in the evening. As a single woman traveling alone, I felt absolutely safe at this hotel.

The desk attempted, as usual to put me in the worst room, 209. Stayed the over hundred times over the last 12 years, before the management upgrade, they knew our names and asking for a specific flirt or room was never quite the problem. I had to unclog the shower with Draino and hit water is not dependable. Then they charged my card 20 bucks for room cards when I turned them in at checkout. Just nit the place it used to be before trying to be B&B kinda. Pool area is still nice but hit tub musta been around 114 degrees.

No television or internet works in this Hotel. The staff promises to help,but never comes to assist. They blame the internet on a storm but after speaking to anither individual tgatcstays there the internet never works. The elevator is broken also. You can only go up but not down. They also have a bad plumbing issue. The tubs gets clooged and the staff doesn't come to assist. The services and self are poor.

Walls are paper thin. It was so noisy that it was impossible to sleep. Elevators were broken. Hotel was clean but didn’t feel safe. There were parties on Saturday night and food and trash was everywhere on the stairs and walk ways. Front desk staff was rude when I asked to be switched to another room.

My family and I were moving and our new home was not ready before we had to leave our old home. We stayed here for 18 nights. I believe it was in the junior king suite we had a king sized bed and a full sized pullout couch my two daughters slept on the pullout couch and were extremely comfortable. They slept well no complaints, the king bed was way too firm for me, but that is just my preference. There was nothing wrong with it. The sheets and bedding altogether was clean and comfortable. We had a small kitchenette which was very functional. The reason we chose this room was because there was a small Weider wall in between the king bed and the pullout couch and there was also a curtain so you could completely close the two sleeping areas off from each other, which was very nice. It just gave my girls their privacy and my husband and I our privacy room spacious. It was just altogether a good experience , I really don’t have much I could complain about. The pool area is super cute with a little tiki bar. We did not eat in the restaurant so I don’t have reviews on that. The elevator was broken the entire time we were there they have a staff elevator in which they allowed the guests to use so no real problem with that. For what we needed this was the perfect place and the location was amazing! If I needed a local hotel again, I would definitely stay here again

The following were in poor condition: Floors, beds, bed comforter had many holes. No hangers for clothing. Refrigerator froze all the creamers. They had a coffee pot , but no coffee, sugar or creamers provided. I brought my own coffee and filters and they agreed to give us creamers. Coffee is important to me as I am an early riser. Also a roach came out at the sink and I moved all my toiletries away. Not a place I will return to and I do NOT recommend!!!! We stayed here years ago and it has gone downhill terribly!!

We had a late flight into FLL so we called in advance to confirm check in. We were told it was not a problem and the front desk is available 24/7. When we arrived there was a handwritten note on the desk stating they were gone for the night only to return at 8am the next morning. We had to go elsewhere and still have not heard back from this place.

The room was average and pretty clean however tv was confusing basically using someone’s Roku account check in was ridiculous don’t understand why they find it necessary to take the hospitality out of the hospitality business after you book they send you a text link wanting you to do a self registration where they want your id your card picture the name of the guest who will be with you and their id the car you will be driving and the plate number I thought it was stupid but I filled it out 2 months in advance anyway then the day you are going to check in they text you the room number and a code for a lock box next to the door that by the way doesn’t work so had to still get a key from the lady at the desk when trying to get to the room the cleaning staff was taking up the whole walk way to get to the room and made it next to impossible to get to the room after a couple hours of being there I get a text saying upon check out please take your trash out before leaving this is supposed to be a vacation not take care of my house I paid for hospitality that they basically didn’t give next time I’ll just stay at the Walmart self check lanes

I DO NOT like that long registration form and the fact that it was mandatory to scan a government ID into a foreign database, it is very invasive. There should be an option to check in at the front desk like a normal hotel/institution to verify the guest without uploading the ID "system".

When I got to the hotel to check in, The front desk said they couldn’t check me in. I had to check in online to give them all my information photos of drivers license, photos of myself, photo and license of the other person with me, list my credit card even though I had paid online… Online registration was difficult. It wouldn’t let me finish registering, very frustrating and time-consuming. Just wanted to get to my room like a normal hotel… I don’t think this was normal. The room was too cold and I tried to adjust the air conditioner, but it wouldn’t work. Would have liked to put the heat on, but that didn’t work either had to just unplug the air conditioner so we were cold all night. The bed was not comfortable and very noisy it seems the old springs woke me up every time I turned over. They asked me to clean up after myself and take out the garbage… That doesn’t seem like a normal hotel either. Didn’t enjoy my stay.

Watch out for surprise charges. The day of check-in I was told that I hadn't paid the resort fee of $25/day. They didn't know why it had not been included in the Hotels.com listing. The room had not been fully cleaned, as I found food stains in a couple of places that cleaned up easily with a Clorox wipe. The remote in the room was missing a battery and didn't work the TV. Supposedly the resort fee is for the restaurant/bar, but there was no indication that you get a discount there, nor was a room charge option available. But it doesn't matter, I would not recommend eating there anyway. The property seems to be in need of a lot of maintenance. The elevator in the lobby had a call button that didn't light up, and there was tape covering the open hole for a non-existent button. Tile floors in the room mean you should plan to wear grippy slippers. And it will feel like you're walking in puddles after your shower. I do not recommend this location.

You have to sign into YOUR netflix account if you want to watch something. The "patio" was a tiny area of turf. No flip lock or chain lock on the inside of the door. If i didn't just work 13 hours and was dead tired I would have found somewhere else. I most definitely will not stay there again. Felt more like a motel than a hotel.

The contactless check in was very unusual, you had to send a picture of Have a government ID and give your credit card information on a link that they sent as a text as well as a picture of yourself. I was not happy with this and had no other choice as they don’t have anybody working the front desk at the hotel. I had a keyless code entry on the door and the lock was malfunctioning and I couldn’t lock the door there was an another lock on the door from the old hotel room that you could lock it when you were inside the room I had to text somebody in the morning to try to come fix it and I gave them permission to go into the room and fix it as a jerryrigged away for the lock to lock When I return to my room at around 5 o’clock that evening my room head was unlocked and they did not fix the lock on my door. Again there’s no employees at the hotel they can help you do anything everything is through phone call and text. Not including the band that was playing upstairs somewhere in the hotel till 1130 at night. This was a very horrible experience for me from check in to check out no one seem to care.

Hotel seems decent. Not sure if it's a hotel. There was no front desk in the morning to check out. We received a message stating that we would be given a keypad code to enter the room, but we never received it. It was a regular key that was changed to keyless while we were there. We were told a member of management would be present when they would open rooms to change the key system, but it doesn’t seem there was anyone with them. Upon returning to our room in the evening, all the dirt, wood chips, and dust from the door entry system being changed were left on the floor at the entrance of the room. Upon going to ask the front desk to have it cleaned, there was no one in staff that could go as the cleaning staff left at 5 pm. None of the elevators were working either. The Tiki bar had very cheap drinks and live music, and the Hydeaway restaurant had good food and very nice staff. Don’t think we will stay here again.

The property is very dated. Room furniture is old. Room condition needs to be updated, especially the flooring and the bathroom. The restaurant and poolside tiki bar has limited hours. The pool area was not tended to until the wind blew a table into the pool:/ the garbage pails on every floor were overflowing for the entire length of our stay. On the plus side... Location was good and the beds were comfortable!

The tiki bar music was too loud playing until after midnight. Regulars locals take up the entire tiki bar area and are very rude to anyone who isn’t local. Since it’s on the property of the hotel I would think it was setup for the guests and not the local drinkers who are not staying at the hotel

The room was clean and smell good , good TV Channels options, karaoke nights was so fun, the pool and tiki bar was great ,the hotel is in a well located, the only thing was no free breakfast .

Upon arrival I walked up to front desk and she informed me I had to check-in on my phone then come back up. I had to walk outside since no service. She was NOT friendly or welcoming. I asked her the restaurant on sites hours and she said I don’t know you’ll have to look. The room was in a separate building and used a key. It smelled strongly on marijuana as we walked past two men smoking in the hall to our room. The door lock was less than secure feeling. The beds were made with clean sheets but that’s the only plus. Floors very dirty. Bed uncomfortable. We then went down to the restaurant to try to get some dinner and doors were locked and a lady in there cleaning. It was 9:38pm. Sign on door said open until 10-11pm. Outdoor bar was closed early as well. Checkout went fine. We left early and returned the locker type key we were provided.

The pool and tiki bar area were great, music Friday and Saturday bonus as that wasn’t expected. A couple room quirks but nothing too upsetting. A regular door key although keyless entry pad installed on door. The toilet didn’t always fill back up without manually triggering mechanism but again nothing major. We arrived a day early and they were able to accommodate a room earlier than expected, another bonus.

If you like a hotel without an elevator, transient people slithering around and roaches in your room…..then this is it. I gave a second star cause our room was actually clean compared to the exterior and the bed was surprisingly comfortable. But would not ever return.

Elevators were broken, I was in a foot boot (cast), another has a heart condition. Only available room was on the second floor with a view if a wall and 1 bed & a couch for 3 adults. Staff was helpful, but no compensation was offered for changes.

This is an older hotel. The bathroom needs remodeling for sure. The glass sliding shower does not slide easy and is a bug safety hazard. The handle on the sliding glass doors are about to come off. The elevator was very small and super slow. The bathroom door does not close all the way if you push the door it opens. Same with the room door you must slam it or you can just push open. The kitchen was fine and living area was fine. Pool was very warm and dirty as well as the hot tub.

For the lower price, I wasn’t expecting fabulous but they were extremely close to the bodybuilding show we were competing in which is why I chose it. The photos on their listing were grossly misleading & or edited. I thought their text messages were awesome- they said “it was monitored 24/7”. I text back to see if we could check in early the night before leaving & got zero response. I called Friday morning- it rang & no one ever picked up. I tried three times- same thing. We arrived at 1pm & asked if there was availability to check in early (I was prepared to pay the $50 fee). The guy was extremely unhelpful- had ear buds in & he said “you will have to call at 2pm & ask if your room is ready.” Bizarre as he couldn’t look at the computer he was standing in front of?? We called at 2 & indeed we could check in. They gave us the wrong room- queen bed- I paid for a King. The ceiling fan wasn’t working nor the a/c. My husband went back down (their elevator was not working) & asked. They gave us another King room. Ceiling fan broken- just stuck on the lowest setting and you couldn’t make it faster- so worthless. The a/c was way too small for room so we ended up moving all the furniture around and put the bed right by it so we wouldn’t sweat all night. The property is dirty & needs much renovation. The door was janky & didn’t fit snugly in the door jam and had a good size gap. Room was gross. We wanted to leave but I would not get our money back so we were stuck. Never again.

Run do not walk away from this place.. Unsavory people, really dirty elevations and outdoor area. Rooms not well maintained. No smoking rooms impacted by guest smoking outside in the hallways despite no smoking policy. I left after my first night. It looks okay from the out side but beware.
