Comfort Inn & Suites Chipley I-10

There was a bad smell in the room and even worse in the hallways. Both stairwells were closed off. So we had to use the elevator that my girlfriend is very afraid of. You'd think that would be a fire hazard.

The facility was clean and very convenient from the highway.

GREAT location for major roads - easy access. Very close to Walmart and restaurants. Quiet residence. GREAT beds and pillows!!! Clean room and hallways. Friendly and helpful staff. Nice breakfast offering. Gym needs a new elliptical machine and repaired lighting.

Friendly staff beds are comfortable clean bathroom and clean hotel some remodeling going on. I was on 1st floor whoever was on 2nd floor above me sounded like kids running or heavy walking so if you want peace n quiet recommend staying on highest level.

The property itself is dated. The staff were actively painting and touching up so it looks like they were working on updating the building. The bed spreads had stains on them, but otherwise the linens and towels looked clean. The staff were friendly. I wish I had gotten the ladies name that was working the morning we checked out. She was working hard getting breakfast out and situated. She was very kind and had a smile the whole time. She spoke to every guest and checked on us multiple times while eating to make sure we had everything we needed. She was fantastic.

Clean property and other than the gentleman enjoying music at the pool at midnight, everything was just fine.

The gym requires a machine that works better. It is hard to put in the dumbells in the lower area of the racks. The pool was very good. The main issue with our room was the bathroom. If the improve the bathroom, the room can be much better. The fan / extractor of the bathroom did not work, which made it harder with the odors and harder to dry the towels. The shower didn´t have a button to make the water come from above. It only worked in the lower part of the shower. This is something not acceptable in some hotels. It was a pleasant stay as far as nice people that work there, but the bathroom has to be improved in the room we stayed.

We didn't have any particular problems just the beds were kind of hard and the shower faucet was dripping but nothing major. We got to enjoy the pool almost every day off our stay and it was close to our room so that was great.

The pool was nice. The motel breakfast was very good. The sheets and towels were very nice. But.... the mattress was the hardest mattress I have ever tried to sleep on and was higher at the foot of the bed than at the head of the bed with a dip in the middle of the bed. My back and both hips hurt after trying to sleep on it. The top of the mattress including the base was at least 30 inches or more from the floor. I am 5 feet 4 inches tall; it was a struggle for me to even get up on the bed. Also, my feet were dirty on the bottoms from walking around bare footed in the room. I would not choose to stay here again if at all possible.

This hotel is in need of a good scrub. The walls in the room were dingy and had dirt marks all over them. The room smelled of mildew and cigarette smoke even though it was a non smoking room. The pull out couch had food crumbs smushed underneath the cushions. I would not stay here again.

The TV didn’t work for the first night. The room was relatively clean except for the roaches that were all over the room.

We got to the property and checking into our room the beds were dirty and stained sheets, food left in the mini fridge, and trash under the desk. I went to the front desk and asked for a new room, but they did sent housekeeping down and changed the sheets and cleaned. All employees were so nice and greeted us with a smile. It just wasn’t the cleanest hotel.

Had mold all underneath the desk and table. Definitely WOULD not stay here.

The hotel is completely run down. We had at least 6 lady bugs going all over the room. Carpet through out the hotel looked disgusting. Everywhere you can see additional dehumidifiers to take away the smell. We opened the sofa bed to find leftover food and candy under the pillow. The matress was super stained. Staff was ok and breakfast basic. Defenitly not worse 141$!!!! This hotel needs a complete Makeover . Do not book

Very clean room.

This property definitely needs some TLC! You can tell they haven’t done much work to this establishment in a very long time. The carpet was both dirty from traffic as well as dirty from needing a simple vacuum very dirty! It smelled old, and like mold. They need to mop and just do an overall freshening up at the lest. This establishment hasn’t received love in a very long time. I hate to leave a bad review or a review that’s not stating everything was perfect, but I rather tell the truth so hopefully the owners will do something about it and I’m sure other guest would appreciate the uplift of the property as well.

There was an overwhelming smell of mildew throughout the motel. It was really bad. There were multiple stains on the carpet and patched holes in the walls. The check in lady was very nice and the breakfast wasn't bad!

We have stayed here a couple times and honestly this visit has made it that I will never come back!! Hotels.com should not even support this hote! The curtains were broken and we were on the first floor with cars and people walking outside the windows. The room smelled of mildew/mold, room looked dirty, thrown together (like maybe it wasn't supposed to be used) and the mini fridge was dirty. When we asked for another room they told us they were fully booked and couldn't get a refund because we booked through Hotels. It was late so we slept on top of covers and fully clothed because who knew if the bed was clean and anyone walking by could see us! Awful!! Stay somewhere else!!!

Comfort Inn hasn’t really recovered from whatever storm damage they had. The floors were moldy, the tubes were stained, it had a musty smell through the whole hotel. Do not recommend to anyone.

The internet did not work the entire time, neither in our room nor in the lobby. The shower tub was visibly old with a worn spot.

Would have been nice to have had a shower curtain. How does a shower curtain go missing?

Our room was in need of repair. Shower curtain rod was coming off rod. Cracked tiles in bathroom. The halls and room smelled sour and musty.

It was a stop over on our way home. Bathroom was horrible, shower didn’t work, looked like mold over the shower head.

It was ok. Shower rod in shower causes curtain to hang only in the middle. Cannot close sides. Just slides back to the middle. Shower/tub faucet has a constant drip. Shower head sprays in different directions. Can turn it to a different setting but it takes all pressure away from the flow. Mold by vent in bathroom ok ceiling. A/C in room is full of dust. Room smells like mildew and carpet felt gross. Fridge and microwave a plus but no little freezer section in the fridge. Never went to the pool. Husband said it didnt looks so great for swimming. Breakfast was the same all 3 days which was ok. Canned sausage gravy and hard biscuits. Steamed sausage patties and scrambled eggs. 3 cereal choices, bread, bagels and packaged muffins. Oatmeal. Boiled eggs and chobani yogurt. Waffle maker. Coffee dispenser, juice/water dispenser. People smoking weed on our floor. Do you boo but I didnt appreciate that with my kids. Stairwell has an impressive amount of mattresses and box springs in the center(where you would normally look down into an empty abyss). The price was definitely not worth it. Paid way too much. There were other fast food restaurants nearby, gas stations, Wal-Mart and dollar tree.

Not crowded. Pleasant, except there's a crazy squeaking noise in the air conditioning system. Otherwise quite nice.

The room was very hot, very hard to sleep. The desk clerk failed to let me know that the WiFi was not working even though she had given me the room key with the WiFi password. It wasn’t until I asked about issues with the WiFi that she disclosed with me that it wasn’t working. Then a hotel employee opened our room door not knowing that we were in there. The apple and orange juice available during breakfast were as dark as coke and didn’t taste good. I would not recommend this place

When we arrived room was not ready. This was about 2 hours after I booked. It was around 7:00 in the early evening. They had just cleaned a room for another couple waiting and told us they would be cleaning and that it would be ready in 15 minutes. My thought was how well it could be cleaned in that short of time. The desk attendant offered another room with 2 beds instead of a King and we said ok to that. I looked at the room and thought it would do. My bad choice we should have left. Room was not very clean. The bathroom door would not close due to bent hinges on the door. Stains on the floor and stuff on the bathroom floor in the corners. Just plain not well maintained. Very beat up. If it weren’t for the fact that we were so tired we would have moved on. Never again will I book a room with less than a 4 out of 5 rating.

Staff ids always friendly, and willing to help with any questions i always have. This is my favorite place to see when I go to Chipley, Florida to visit my family. I am definitely satisfied.

First room was dirty, they moved us. In the morning was out of breakfast , even no coffee. The last day we was awaken by water coming through the ceiling at 1130pm. We called the front desk and they hung the phone up on us twice. We were just booked for three nights. Never again.

Dont know if it was hotels.com fault or comfort inn but I booked a few days in this hotel for one of my workers only to arrive and them not have my room. Neither hotels.com or Comfort Inn will reimburse me the money. Fortunally my worker was able to find a room across the street. Be careful booking through either.

Specifically reserved a room with a garden tub as we had been on the road for over 8hrs and my wife has back issues. Was not informed prior to or even during check-in that there was a problem. Upon going to the room, discovered that there was a sign on the garden tub stating that it was out of order. Immediately went back to front desk and was informed that there was no other rooms available, I could not get a refund and I would just have to talk to the manager the next day. Contacted Expedia customer service and they were informed by the hotel that it would be several days before they could speak to a manager. So I had no choice but to spend the night. The following day I received an email from Expedia customer service stating that the hotel refused to refund even a portion of the charges. I was not trying to get a total refund but I should not have been charged for an upgraded garden tub room if the tub was out of order. I travel numerous times a year through this area to visit family (about 25 nights a year). Needless to say I will NOT be staying here ever again!!!

Prior reviews made me a little skeptical about this property but decided to give it a try since we needed a place to stay in Chipley. Let me tell you it did not disappoint. The ladies at the front are extremely helpful and friendly. Everything was super clean and there were no issues with our stay at all. The breakfast was amazing and great coffee too. I would definitely stay here again when needed

General overall condition of hotel functional, but not well maintained. There were stains on the carpet, on the chairs, the comforter and the washcloths. When we first checked in, we didn’t smell smoke but over the course of the next 3 days, it progressively became worse. The coffee pot in the room was broken. When my husband went down for breakfast, there were no biscuits for the biscuits and gravy, the eggs were old and all of the tables were dirty and hadn’t been cleaned. It looked like there was no one on duty to take care of breakfast. On the plus side, the beds were comfortable and it’s convenient to Walmart and I-10.

Near the Interstate.

The property is located directly off of the I10; it was sandwiched between two lesser quality hotels which had sketchy hotel guests. The hallway to my room hadn’t been vacuumed in a long time, and it is questionable if my room had been wiped down or vacuum in the last week. My shower had rotten walls and mold growing along the perimeter of the top of the shower at the shower head and down at the floor.

We have stayed here sever times on our trip fro Florida to New Orleans.It is very dependable quality at a good price. The people who work there are always friendly.

Room was very nice, although, bathtub was not handicap accessible, not enough bars to hold, slippy tub surface when wet, no place to put towel when getting out of tub after shower. Front desk staff seemed preoccupied with other stuff when checking in, couldnt find them when checking out. Breakfast was great.

The housekeeping left the sweetest note for us on the nightstand before our arrival. Loved the attention to detail!!! The breakfast is included and offered a wide variety to choose from. The sweet lady kept the breakfast area stocked and very clean. Great job by all staff!
