Plaza Hotel Fort Lauderdale

The entire experience was disgusting. First off there are hidden amenities that were not online like being charged $20 per car per day. Microwave and fridge use is 15$. The next problem was how the hotel looks like it is falling apart. - The paint on my door was peeled off, looks like it was bashed in. - The floor looks like it’s dusty and moldy. - There is no phone to call the front desk and I had no blanket. It was already 2:30 in the morning and I was not going downstairs. - The room smelled of paint and mold. - The bathtub shows clear signs of mold because you can clearly see an impression of the bathmat. So where the mat was is white while the rest of the tub has orange dots everywhere.

Was not what I booked. I booked a king. Got a queen size. The floors were peeling up. The bathroom was disgusting. It was nothing like the pictures. And pool was closed

Pool closed, gym out of order, elevators 1 out of 2 didnt work, safe in the room didnt work We stayed 4 nights the room wasnt cleaned not once! Everything smelled and looked old I just got tired and just waited till the check out time NEVER coming back

The check in long wait times over an hour, pool was out of service for entire stay. rooms needs updates, no microwaves. Friendly staff ++

No tiki bar as advertised. And the outdoor grounds with the pool and garden closed. Otherwise it is ok for a one night, glad I did not stay for multiple days tho as it has limited amenities. Front desk staff very kind. I would come back for another travel stop, just not for extended stay

Had an issue with my room, staff responded quickly and had a room change instantly. Pool was not open during my stay. Property is dated and lots of work going on. Suite i stayed in was updated and nice. Staff extremely nice!!! Only 1 luggage cart in hotel but was able to get it quickly as i travelled alone.

Pool had not been operarable in quite some time and the gym was not operational either. Pictures look nothing like the property. Bathroom was dirty. No mini fridge or microwave. Bathroom unclean, faucet was wobbling, toilet wasn't flushing properly. No blanket or covering on the bed. Overall horrible! Booked 2 nights and only stayed 1. We ran out of there.

Beautiful room with antique solid furniture and bed. Microwave and fridge. Helpful and friendly staff. But, the pool and jacuzzi are out of order, one day no hot water, restaraunt closed. Noone answers the phone. The internet and TV fail regularly. Kevanni was very helpful at the front desk.

Run down, nasty, pool closed. Dining closed. Gift shop closed. Elevator out of order. Was at the property for 20 minutes and asked for a refund. Very much flase advertisement.

The hotel has an odor and the bathrooms need to be updated

The room had roaches, it was very outdated. The room didn’t have a microwave, the bathroom was raggedy, no comforters on the bed. It smelled in the room and hallway, very uncomfortable stay.

It is the true definition of "you get what you pay for" and in my opinion, i paid too much. There were roaches everywhere, mold, dust and dirt. They were renovating by just covering up all imperfections, not actually fixing anything. They charge resort fees and say their for amenities like breakfast but still charge for breakfast. The only good thing about this place is the front desk agent, Ana.

The hallways were dark and smelled very bad. The curtains had slices in them and were hanging off their hooks. The phone did not work. One bed did not have a blanket/comforter on it. We saw cockroaches. We checked for bedbugs and the mattresses were disturbingly stained. No water pressure in the shower. We kept our shoes on the whole time in the room. When we got home we washed EVERYTHING because it all smelled so gross from the room. We would have left for another hotel if there had been any available, but we were stuck due to the holiday weekend. They said they were remodeling, so maybe it will be better in a year!

It’s disgusting, filthy with roaches

The property that was being online was completely different from the hotel i had checked into. The building itself was dirty, roach infested, stunk of urine, cigarettes, and Marijuana. I would never recommend this as a family hotel for a vacation.

This hotel is beyond disappointing. We will be contacting Expedia. We were give used supplies, there are holes in the wall everywhere, the floors are sticking, the light is missing a shade, possible mold in the bathroom, broken elevators. We weren’t even supplied with bedding other than 1 sheet. The pool was decent which is the only saving part because we had kids. I didn’t even have a phone to call the desk to inquire about the issues and they had a huge line of everyone else complaining.

Don't stay in room 400, the door was broken and didn't close properly, the bathroom was all dirty, the air conditioning was making such a loud noise that I couldn't sleep.worst experience of my life I do not recommend it

Paid for two rooms only got the key to one room never got resolved waiting in refund the place is highly unprofessional , loud and reeks. Roaches in the rooms, the water does not get hot at all had to bathe my infant child with cold water. Not to mention the toilet barely flushing , no tv remote until we spoke up, no microwave and pool unavailable. This was all false advertisement literally I’ll never come back .

There is only the one sunblock curtain and it is outdated and warped. They have nice sized Philips TVs so that was a plus. There was an iron, ironing board, microwave and mini fridge in my room so another plus. There was a couple fighting and chasing each other down the stairs screaming. The location is great to stores in the plaza across the street. The furniture is definitely run down and out dated. The sheets and towels were the dirtiest I’ve seen. The room doors seem like they have expanded so opening and closing is a hassle.

this was one of the worst hotels I have stayed in. The floors were dirty and sticky could not take my socks off in the room. There was no fridge, no microwave, no phone, no alarm clock the tv was internet that did not work and never did get it working. There was a broken picture hanging on the wall. If you want a nice place don't go here.

The bed was very good. There was only 1 electrical outlet that worked in the room and even the plug in the bathroom didn't work. The room was large but had no table or chairs and even night tables next to the bed had ho lamps. The only lights were 1 in the doorway when you you came in and 1 free standing lamp with no lamp shade. This made a very dark room at night. The curtain didn't completely cover the window and the outside security light was very bright and came in on both side of the curtain and was very annoying. We had issues with the TV and they came up and put it on a news channel, but after the news we wanted to change channels and we got nothing, couldn't even get the news back on.

This property was nothing like it showed in pictures. The hallway is leading to the room were dark the doors to the rooms look like they had been pride open. The room itself had only the bathroom light no lamps in the sleeping area no ceiling lights the TV didn’t work. The room was dirty. There was mold behind the toilet. We checked out within 10 minutes and are still trying to get our money back.

The rooms didn’t match the pictures, the bathroom sink were super small and the door of the room looked like it was kicked in.

This property is nothing like the description online. We had no furniture in our room besides a bed and a television stand. The television itself was blurry. Only one light worked. There were holes in the walls and writing on them. Only one of four elevators worked and the one that did was scary to say the least. There is almost no water pressure in the shower. The entire first floor smells of mold. The common area to get ice looks like someone started demolition and gave up partway through.

The only good thing about this stay, was that the front desk staff was nice. Main room door wouldn’t open without shoving your full weight against it, bath door wouldn’t close without doing the same. Killed 2 bugs during my stay. Towels were dirty and had to go ask front desk for new ones. Phone in room wasn’t even connected to the wall. No clothes hangers provided. Safe was so rusted I didn’t bother using it. No “Do Not Disturb” signs for doors. Had to ask front desk to not get early service. Sink & tub have cracks from age and no repairs. AC sounded like a helicopter when it turned off. TV would keep loading, couldn’t watch anything. Burn holes on bed comforter. Seems like people live in the rooms like long term - gathering in hallway after midnight screaming like it was a block party. No food options for breakfast- whole dining area was closed off. Parking was always full and had to park far from main entrance. Did not feel safe walking that distance at night. Will not stay here again.

The queen size mattress on the full size box and frame. Dirty room and a musty smell. I guess you get what you pay for

Was unable to check in after waiting 45 minutes, front desk agent yelled at people that where asking how much longer to which her reply was she’s new and having computer issues. When I asked if there was another person that could step in and help she angrily and rudely said there is not and there are couches to sit at and wait. I left and still have not received a refund or call back from a manager.

I never got to check in their line was long and it was hot August 2nd. Called them and they left me on hold and til today August 8 I am being charged for a stay that never happened I have been on with Orbitz and trying to call Hotel who never come to the phone. How can you charge one for no stay and ignoring unprofessional service?

The staff was nice and well trained when I got there after I checked in it’s was hard for me to get in my hotel room the key door wasn’t working the machine to make the wasn’t working the whole 5th floor door keys wasn’t working after I checked in I stayed in the hallway for 2 hours until they finally do something to open the door when I got in the room I was so tired I thought I was going to get some sleep when I touched the the bed was dirty I have to go to the laundry room downstairs to get linens to make my bed the room was filthy the curtain was old wrinkled with multiple holes on it the bathroom wasn’t clean they have some old furniture they not in good shape it’s was a mess never again.

First thing the hotel only had 1 roll of toilet paper and when I asked for another one they were completely out so I had to door dash some to the hotel that's crazy, no phones in the room to call front desk

We were in town for a small family party. We did not plan to stay overnight but decided that it would be responsible to do so because it was late at night. I booked a room at approx 9 pm and PAID. We arrived at the hotel at around 12:30 AM and when we tried to check into our room. The lady at reception said that they assign rooms on a first come first serve basis and they were out of rooms for the night. We had to make the drive back home to Naples. Getting in contact with the property has been a nightmare since as they don’t answer the phone. Terrible terrible experience.

( March 29 -30 Plaza Hotel Fort Lauderdale) Check in at this hotel is horrific only one customer only service person and she’s been here since 12 o’clock the night before with no help lobby was not clean smelled like cigarettes this place was more like a residential hotel for the those getting a 2nd chance at life again God is good but they should tell you that because you will be very surprise when you get here especially for $200 dollars for a one night stay and the picture of the building on the website are nothing like the place when you get here trust me on the hotel.com website it rate 3 1/2 stars this place is a 2 star on there best day this is my best honest review of this place our on googles are better and true not on hotels.com on the other hand this place is very busy I guess it must be very close to the port authority stay just overnight to cruise the next morning it must be convenient to use if you sleep standing up against the wall with your clothes on sitting on top of your luggage so the roaches don’t get you (he ran, couldn’t get a picture of him) but I do have a picture of the bed so I hope this helps you in choosing a good hotel because I would never stay in this one Best regards *** Front desk solution was the changes to another room. Upon arrival we found out there were no rooms and pretty much tossed out and told to call expedia because it was their fault for not confirming availability with Hotel. This is after I called during the day speaking with Ovina to confirm our reservation was service and giving our arrival time from Chicago. Hotel was sketchy to say the least and a lot of extra activity going on. Coming from out of state and not knowing the area we were left to scramble and find other arrangements. When calling to resolve I was given the run around from Hotel very difficult to reach finally reached a Tiffany, them difficulty with Expedia after several on line chats. It was determined that I cancelled my reservation. Which is false. Several chats an Cala regarding this. I believe now that Expedia and Plaza hotel are on this together and have kept my $$. Now they want me to review my stay. I never stayed. You refused me and stated no rooms available. Disgusting and horrible customer service on both their parts. Please use someone else when booking out of state for your own safety

Our room wasn't available, hotel was full. All hotels around booked. We had to sleep in the car. Would like reimbursement.

Hotel appeared to be primarily used as a low-income housing building or maybe a homeless shelter? Many permanent residence that get into loud fights (police visited the property at least twice during our 3 day stay). Broken vehicles in parking lot, many doors to rooms broken, etc. We only stayed there because of location and the other nearby hotels were sold out. Would rather have driven further to stay somewhere else had we known of the condition & environment.

This place was a roach motel in an area that looked like a hub for human trafficking. The moment we pulled into the check in area it reeked of marijuana outside and inside. The entire place looked dim, dingy, outdated and dirty. Lots of people sort of milling around outside and inside that made my wife and kids uncomfortable. We ultimately left and found another hotel in Fort Lauderdale.

Worst experience ever. Dirty, weed smell all around the place, homeless people on the parking and inside. Dirty rooms and restrooms. Does not worth the money. Don’t book this hotel.

Peaceful and close to everything I needed 24 hour CVS, a Walgreens,and a gas station!

This was so horrible that we forfeited our money and left after an hour. Not a single thing was as picture. The room was disgusting all "amenities" were closed or didnt exist. 1 staff member was a royal b*tch but 1 was fabulous

1.) The pool was not open. I couldn't even layout on a lawn chair. 2.) The workout center was not open, although both were advertised as available. 3.) I never received housekeeping for the 4 nights I stayed there. 4.) I had bugs in my room. 5.) Entry doors were closed after 9.00 PM. My room was at the end of the hotel, so I was required to totally walk around the building to get in the front lobby. 6.) I asked for coffee, and housekeeping didn't have any cream or sweetener. I had to buy my own cream. 7.) Front office phone was never answered. I called to asked how late I could sign in, and I called a number of times about the condition of my room (bugs and housekeeping). Terrible stay. Expedia should reconsider promoting the hotel

Nicer than expected for the price. Breakfast was surprisingly good too. Lobby smells great and the staff were super friendly and helpful. Id stay again

This is the cheapest hotel for good reasons. It was barely clean, none of the pictures are accurate. They are no services, no breakfast, no gym, no restaurant, no bar, the pool is not heated, the spa barely worked, the door barely closed and all looked like they have been kicked in.

Property looked nothing like it did online. Dirty and needs renovation badly. Check in was supposed to be at 4pm which is rather late and I couldn’t check in until 6pm!! The room was dirty. Refrigerator didn’t work. 1 microwave for the entire hotel. No ice. Tv didn’t work. It was just awful
