Elevator out of service for over one month

The elevator has been broken for a month so you're force to carry your belongings up 3 flights. Theres roaches, key card work when it wanted. Imagine a fight is happening and all you want to do is open your door before it gets fatal, after 7 tries the door finally unlock. I wanted to check out when i drove in. That no refunds policy force me to stay a full week.

The weather's conditions had the parking lot flooded. They didn't have any turn down service! No one even came to clean my room. I had to turn in my old towels and wait hours to receive new ones. They didn't have any rules for the family living there and they children running All thru the hallways unattended. Besides, there was a man who was just hired to do security/ watch over the cars. He was drunk, rude and ended up pointing his finger in my face. I reported it to the Staff member who said that she hired him and she kinda shrugged it off. Spiders, small roaches was also crawling around in the restroom before I even brought food inside of my room. No pots and/ or pans to cook with so I know can know if the stove even worked.

Don’t stay here. Loiters and homeless wandering around the parking lot. No ice machine. Room smelled with a pungent fragrance. Felt very unsafe. The only positive was the bed was fairly comfy

The elevator did not work, and I have a disability with my leg and had to walk up to the third floor and then to the end, for my five days stay..it put a lot of pressure on my knees

Pulled in parking lot to both ends of the lot completely flooded. Could not access back of property unless you had high enough vehicle. After checking in and getting my key, I went to the assigned room and upon entering there was a man already in the room in the bed watching television. I had to go back downstairs and get another room and while in the office another customer came in with the same issue. The room was not that clean and the bathroom door did not close because the post to close and lock was missing. The cable was horrible the channels barely stayed clear.

This is not a place I would choose to stay at again. Do not be fooled by the pictures online - this is an old, run down property with a sketchy feel to it. The parking area had big pools of standing water. Once you get into the office, there is a sign noting that any vehicles on the property must be in working order and in good condition. The security gates for the parking area did not seem to work. The rooms were small and old looking with a musty smell. The room was not well cleaned (little bits and pieces of things like candy wrapper and child’s toy left) and immediately would cause you to question and look for possible bed bugs. The cabinets looked like they were the originals and some would not fully close. There were no glasses/cups or any utensils in the room nor was there a coffee maker. The staff was generally nice though also not the best communicators. There was some confusion about my reservation and someone from housekeeping came knocking and told me I had to go to the office to work things out. Upon arriving, there were several people waiting and a guest at the counter. Staff never said anything nor acknowledged me after I walked in. After waiting 5-10 mins and the customer at the counter walked away, staff continued to not say anything. I walked up to ask if she was in middle of something and she responded the computers were down and she already announced it but I must not have heard. Spend a few more bucks to stay elsewhere- you won’t regret it

Horrible place to stay. We were there for a week and the parking lot was entirely flooded the whole time!! No housekeeping the entire stay.

Room was horrible. There were drug addicts loitering. Room had roaches. I canceled the reservation immediately and got a refund.

I would never stay in this hotel again. The condition of the room is appalling. Mattress was lumpy and very uncomfortable. Mold in the shower and dust in the vents. The ceiling had paint peeling and the walls were filthy.

AVOID THIS PLACE LIKE THE PLAGUE, Cause if you stay there you may get the plague, Got up to the Room opened the door and COCKROACHES starting running for cover, killed over 15-20 roaches before heading right down to the desk to tell them (they decided to Close the Office 15 minutes early) how convenient had to use a phone to reach them was told they had no other rooms and that I just had to deal with the Roaches....So we left, Took pictures and Video, Expedia tried to contact hotel for refund and they REFUSE to respond....Going to have to Take them to Court it looks like, SCAM FRAUD, and COCKROACHES !!! Got video of us leaving and turning in the keys right away...as evidence.....NASTY NASTY NASTY !!!!

We arrived late at night and the night staff didn’t answer the door or our calls for over 30 mins after we banged on the door. The room was old and we saw multiple bugs.

Wasn’t able to check in Friday night due to nobody being in the front office (although I had already asked and was told somebody was there at all times). Had to get a hotel room somewhere else at 2:30am. The next day when I was finally able to check in, I walked in to my room to find how disgusting it really is. Undid the bedsheets and there were cockroaches on them. Couldn’t bring myself to stay there so had to book somewhere else for the remainder of my trip. 0/10. Do not recommend. Need a refund ASAP.

The prices are cheap but the room was infected with cockroaches even inside the fridge and over the bathroom. On the outside the hall was urinated. Best sped a little more money and stay on a better place.

Urine in the only elevator there . Room had bed bugs in mattress and got bitten on back . Bad area . Front desk give me the worst farthest room in the building, wich made it very difficult for me to carry all my bags with a dislocated shoulder.

The room had 2 holes in the wall, the wifi didnt work fast than 4mb/s, menaing it was not possible to work or watch neftlix, the shower did not get hot, the bed was terribly uncomfortable, there were fluid stains on the wall, and there was massove white glob blocking thr water flow of the bathroom sink. Friday night, i listend to a group of people shout and play basketball in the parking lot at midnight and when i called the police and privided the location they quickly dismiss me as to indicate that this was a common Occurrence at this hotel.

We greatly appreciated the second employee who greeted us. She was friendly and welcoming and made us feel good. The room was very basic (no shampoo) but seemed clean and had clean towels. The bed was uncomfortable (felt the springs trying to come out of mattress) and we could hear lots of noise outside (other clients talking and cars going by on main street).

Needs some general manintenance. Bathroom door lock loose. Entrance door secondary lock not locking.

My main concern with this property was the condition of the room. Dilapidated furniture. The shower was cracked on the bottom and I felt like I was going to fall through. There were also black marks, like someone was wearing shoes in the shower, which maybe what cracked the shower. Not sure how much water leaked underneath.

The roaches and the stovetop one eye the knob was broken couldn't tell when it was on or off without turning the knob on the wall off. The toilet was backed up and the sink drained slowly.

Always a great place to come back. Staff is very friendly as always. Viva and Felica are delightful. Clean room. And kitchenette is great help. Highly recommend.

I called and said I’d arrive late and was told to just pick up the red phone and dial zero. I did exactly that and the man on the other end was seemingly annoyed, and I could barely understand him. Before I knew it, he hung up on me and when I tried calling back, there was no answer a couple of times. I was out there as a 40-year-old single female with my 10-year-old little boy alone and they were just the sketchiest humans walking by. After sometime, a man dressed in casual black came out and asked if I was the one that called, asked me to get my ID as he went to his car… He came back from his car, grabbed my ID and went into some employee door. I wanted to just leave. But he had my license. When he finally opened the door with paperwork, rudely, I asked if I could just refund this because I was extremely uneasy. The alleyway he had me in was dirty and creepy. Basically I was told no so I signed the paperwork and Went to the room assigned. The room smelled terrible, it was dirty, there was a layer of dust on most of the surfaces. There was sticky dirt all over the wall outlet, I wouldn’t dare even get in that shower. This was a terrible experience from customer service to cleanliness and I could never repeat it.

Staff were not smiling a lot, always looking unapproachable. There was a constant shortage of fresh linen and towels. The wait time was about a 24 hours. I was told house keeping would be by to take care of the cleaning but was given multiple days my room would be taken care of. To weeks later, no one ever came to perform any house cleaning. There was always a slight smell of sewage coming from the bathroom.

It was a horrifying experience. We had a 2 night reservation but because we had to use a different credit card to check in after 11pm, we were refused rooms. Their policy says they can take no cash or credit card after 11. We offered to leave cash until morning but they left us in the parking lot to fend for ourselves. They had our rooms, so they said, but refused to help us. Thank goodness LaQuinta up the street had a front desk, with staff who could take a credit card after 11 and a room. They refused to let us keep the second night of our reservation and canceled our entire reservation leaving us without a place to stay so we cancelled an additional 3rd night. To make things worse, we were staying there with friends who also had a 2 night and were allowed to stay the first night, but they were refused their second night with no warning and again left in the parking lot in the dark. This hotel’s treatment of patrons is criminal and if this is who is allowed to use Hotel.com to advertise, we certainly will not be using this app again. It was a horrifying experience for 4 people in their 70’s to be left with prostitutes and drug dealers in the middle of the night alone. Never mind the filthy conditions, and rude, inconsiderate and hostile management. Disgusting!

Easy check in and the staff was very friendly and helpful..

During my recent stay at HomeTowne Studios & Suites, I encountered a mix of experiences. While the majority of the staff displayed unprofessionalism and, at times, rudeness, one standout employee truly made a difference: Viva. Her kindness, hospitality, and dedication to guest satisfaction were exceptional. Viva's positive attitude and willingness to assist turned my stay around and made me feel welcome. I highly recommend recognizing her efforts, as she is a true asset to the hotel. Thank you, Viva, for your outstanding service!

Would not recommend. I booked and paid online but was told my room was given to someone else and no room were available until i called Hotel.com to have them call the front desk.

I have never been to such a low end, poorly run dump as this. I showed up at 2:30pm to check in and was told to return at 3 to wait for the staff change. They replacement was late. There were a few people in this small, hot lobby waiting. It took this individual 15 minutes to check in each guest. By the one hour mark of standing in the lobby I told, not asked, to step over to the front desk. After the ridiculously slow check in process the clerk did not return my ID which I didn’t realize until I was woken up at 10pm with a bang on the door when it was returned. Wouldn’t a phone call to my cell have sufficed? The room itself was dirty with little hot water and non functioning stove top. Cockroaches were rampant. I dub this property the “HomeTowne Studios by Red Roof Baghdad”.

The place looks like a crack house. Shady characters hanging out outside, loud music.

Surrounding area is very dirty and scary. We heard people screaming and yelling in the middle of the night. Hotel and room is very old and dirty too. The whole time we felt very unsaved.

The receptionist is amazing. SADLY the whole are smells like weed/marijuana. We come to the room to find bugs in the room, roach in the sink and the whole room smells like marijuana. And im traveling with my small kid. Also feel unsafe with so many homeless people and group of people hangout and playing loud explicit music with some people doing car tuning and fixing their beat up car on the property as if they are running a workshop on the parking lot. We left after 5 mins check into our room and NEVER intended to stay again.

I like that there’s a Winn-Dixie nearby. Also a hair store in a Family Dollar and I don’t have to walk too far to go to my favorite restaurant Pollo Tropical.

Well, I settled into a room on the first floor that has a small kitchen, refrigerator, microwave and its respective bathroom, and everything you need. 50 steps away there is a Pollo Tropical restaurant and it is open until midnight. The location is very good. The rooms are clean and have a good aroma, but it needs a few minor maintenance details. It is located on the commercial street and is halfway between Highway 95 and Turpike.

Do not stay here. It’s 3am. People are screaming. Police are at the hotel. Someone had their room broken in and the person was jumped. This is not a safe hotel. We called the front desk asking if the hotel had security and they didn’t even care. The room is dirty. Doesn’t look like the walls have ever been cleaned. Food all over the floor.

Overall I really liked this place. The staff are soo lovely and really helpful. The room was really clean, and everything was presently made. It is in a good location of shops, food places and 15min drive from the beach and many amenities (I recommend looking on “Get Your Guide” for good ideas). This place, as well as Miami is very diverse with lots of young people, so if you want to have a quiet night then it’s not ideally for you. Lots of reviews say how the people are rude etc, but I found everybody respectful and very welcoming. I didn’t even know how to cross the roads here, and they did not mind my stupid questions. The only thing I wish that made my stay better was some utilities in the kitchen, as someone travelling from another country I really don’t want to bring my kettle or a saucepan - but food was really close by so I was able to learn and try new foods which was really fun and interesting. I would definitely come and stay again, I really did enjoy it here. And from other reviews, I had NO cockroach problem what so ever; despite it being in Florida.

Property is nothing like the pictures. It is in an unsafe area with people living in the hotel as their residence. Lady in tight dress hanging around the hotel fighting with her man on the phone around 11PM. Cesspool of water on the corner of the parking lot. Door to hotel room has lots of play and you can literally see outside when door is locked. For some reason must drive your car in the parking spot or you will be towed. no backing in! Leaving the hotel early homeless people were sleeping in the stairwell… obviously no security at night! Should have just a tree sued at the airport overnight

Very good location

The website advertisement said there was coffee offered in the office and vending machines. There was neither. I was told to walk to the 7/11 across the street. There were no amenities in the room, other than soap for the shower. I felt it was false advertising. Very disappointing. There were many drunk people hanging around the property each night, so I did not feel safe. Drains in sinks in the room did not drain well, leaving lots of water in the sink when used.
