Staff competent but some were rude. One of our rooms wasn’t cleaned. Whole facility needs a major overhaul. Very worn and dated. Pool so filthy it was unusable.

Elevator broke and we’re handicapped so had to ask for a room on the 1st floor. Breakfast was not good very poor taste.

Had a third floor room and was told upon arrival that the elevator was out of order. I am disabled and was offered no assistance from the staff. The stairwell was filthy. Coffee maker was dirty, coffee was not hot. Front desk staff in morning was very unprofessional.

Elevator and waffle maker weren’t working . Stairs were easily accessible so that was fine . Waffles would have been nice . Not much else to eat but the lady said “they are sticking” so we couldn’t use it. Outside looks nice . Inside outdated and pretty dirty. Beds were clean and showers were cleans so that’s all that really mattered for what we needed .

Property is absolutely filthy. The actual pictures are not what is shown on the Internet. It does feel like a bait and switch. Everything is absolutely filthy. I had to cut my trip short and cancel all my plans because I could only stomach staying in that hotel one night. The day that we came into town all the other hotels were booked so we were stuck terrible experience

We ere greeted by a man who didn’t seem to care whether or not we were staying there or not. Not friendly, not personable - we had arrived late and the lobby was empty so not sure what he was in the middle of but was expecting us as our reservation paper was set aside in a stack of other reservations. Went to the room to discover can hear almost perfectly things going on in each room we walked past. Opened our room and found our bathroom to have mold on the wall behind, around and above the toilet. Also, above the toilet, a fungus or mold or something was literally growing and hanging down like calcium you’d find on the ceilings of caves. (I have pictures and video to share). We were tired so we decided to make the most of it - we only were there for sleep and would be busy all day. Got into bed to discover the sheets and bedding were damp and wet from the humidity in the room. It was quite gross. Probably should’ve gone back downstairs but assumed all rooms were probably like that and did t want to deal with the unpleasant gentleman at the front desk. The one bright spot, was how friendly and nice the young woman was when we checked out on Sunday morning. She was very nice.

Don't let the fact that this hotel is by a BMW dealership fool you. It's dirty and smelly, and my room smells like a wet basement. I had to turn the air all the way down to around 62 to try to get the smell out. The first night, it sounded like someone was trying to get in my room. I was going to chalk it up to someone being drunk and lost. There was no mattress cover on the bed and the sheets were itchy. The toilet seat was thin, and it was one step away from not having a toilet seat at all and just sitting on the bowl. The staff was kinda nice, that's why I gave it the amount of stars I did. I realize you get what you pay for, I still expected better.

The hallways smelled like pee and smoke, our room had dried animal feces and hair under the bed. The carpets in the hallway and bedroom were stained and clearly not vacuumed. Overall the place was a dump.

The property is just barely at average condition. Everything is pretty dated. Our room had broken drawers, no closet just place for few hangers, no safe and sink that was half clogged and leaking below. One of 2 beds had extremely bad mattress that lets you know where every spring is located.

Walking in for a late check in, there was an alarm going off. Front desk worker was trying to fix it, but she didn’t tell us what was going on. Once in the room, even with the A/C running full blast, the air was so muggy and humid it felt like we could hold it in our hands. In the shower, the pressure and temperature were great, however, the shower curtain rod was hanging off the walls, causing the curtain to slip towards the middle, causing a serious draft and flooding of the bathroom. So we had to shower and hold the curtain closed as best as we could. Bed itself was comfortable at least, but pillows were lumpy and bumpy. For a quick stay it did what it needed to do, however we have stayed in nicer, cheaper motels

Thankfully our trip was only a one night stay. The hotel in itself was average and the room seemed clean but we were unaware our room would be approximately 50 yards from Interstate 4, one of the busiest highways in Florida. The traffic noise starting at approximately 4 AM became quite intolerable with down shifting semi trucks and applying the breaks. The hotel made no effort to soundproof the rooms with heavier widows or any kind of sound dampening measures. My wife and I were not able to get any from 4 AM on. The hotel could at least offer ear plugs to make the sound tolerable. If you go to this hotel be sure to demand a room not facing I 4.

Close to Tiger Town. Right off of the highway so all night there was an issue with noise if you’re a light sleeper. Very clean.

Slightly older residence. Needs some updating to accommodate charging of handheld devices. WiFi was adequate. Bathroom was clean. Towels were plentiful. Would stay here again. Be advised they have a $100 refundable deposit in order to deter smoking in rooms. It is a 100% smoke free motel.

It's right next to the highway and very noisy. The continental breakfast is a joke at best. I had to run the shower for 15-20mins just to get some hot water. I definitely woukd not recommend this place. I stayed because i just needed a quick place to rest my head for the night.

Fist off the staff was rude and unhelpful. The breakfast was horrible and they were reusing old gravy for their breakfast. The rooms were worn down. Sheets and blankets dirty and stains on sheets. We were in town for an event. Left for the event and came back and our room door was wide open!! Went straight downstairs ask for a manager to speak to and they said no manager was available. That he has to be called in and won’t be in until the next day. So I called the next morning to ask when he was going to be at the hotel. The woman at the desk told me he wasn’t and then I told her the situation and she said there was no note or anything from the staff the night before. She said she would review camera and give me a call. She never called me back never heard from the manager nothing. I will be calling corporate. Such a horrible experience!! Never stay here!!

Room was not ready at 3 pm, got told 15-20 min ( took till 4:45 pm) . TV had no srvice . Worst hotel ever . Paid $250/ night for this dump. I would give zero stars .

Not friendly, not personable - we had arrived late and the lobby was empty so not sure what he was in the middle of but was expecting us as our reservation paper was set aside in a stack of other reservations. Went to the room to discover can hear almost perfectly things going on in each room we walked past. Opened our room and found our bathroom to have mold on the wall behind, around and above the toilet. Also, above the toilet, a fungus or mold or something was literally growing and hanging down like calcium you’d find on the ceilings of caves. (I have pictures and video to share). We were tired so we decided to make the most of it - we only were there for sleep and would be busy all day. Got into bed to discover the sheets and bedding were damp and wet from the humidity in the room. It was quite gross. Probably should’ve gone back downstairs but assumed all rooms were probably like that and did t want to deal with the unpleasant gentleman at the front desk. The one bright spot, was how friendly and nice the young woman was when we checked out on Sunday morning. She was very nice.

Needs updating....carpets walls, etc. Maria at the front desk was WONDERFUL. Great customer service and went out of her way to take care of any issues (tv cable, for instance, needed repair). She made the stay pleasant. Housekeeping did a great job daily of replacing towels and other necessities and keeping the room neat and clean. All in all we would stay here on our next visit to the area.

The receptionist was very rude, I have no issue paying a deposit if it is posted on the booking. There was no mention of the $100 deposit and tweaker running the front desk was rude about having to wait while I moved funds around in order to pay the deposit. I would have already had it ready if I was aware ahead of time.

Excellent value. I really enjoyed my 5-night stay. The desk clerk did a great job seamlessly merging two reservations, unlike a recent experience at a different chain. The room was spacious and clean. Best of all, housekeeping were not impatient pests who thought you should be operating on their schedule. Too often during my travels the "Do Not Disturb" sign means banging on the door and loud shouting at 8:30 AM. Not at this La Quinta. I was able to use my typical online late night work schedule and sleep from 3 AM until 10:30 AM without concern that anyone would be bothered. Other than checkout day I was able to leave the room at noon and it would be perfectly serviced when I returned late at night. The large housekeeping staff were always still working early in the afternoon. I can't emphasize enough how great that was. Much appreciated. I will return here when I'm in the area again.

Excellent location and value. Located just off exit 33 of Route 4 with easy access to downtown Lakeland, the ballpark, and shopping/ dining options. Easy to overlook the worn hallway carpets when the simple breakfast buffet was good and our king mattress was perfect, not too soft and just firm enough for a good night’s sleep. Our room had lots of counter space by the bathroom sink and plenty of space for luggage atop the large bureau. Unlike many new chain hotels, La Quinta’s efficient HVAC unit was quiet and did not blow hot or cool air directly over the bed. The door to the toilet and tub/shower room faced away from the bedroom so as not to disturb anyone asleep. Friendly staff and good unlimited coffee by the front desk. We loved our 3 night visit to Lakeland and will definitely stay at this La Quinta again.

Thankfully our trip was only a one night stay. The hotel in itself was average and the room seemed clean but we were unaware our room would be approximately 50 yards from Interstate 4, one of the busiest highways in Florida. The traffic noise starting at approximately 4 AM became quite intolerable with down shifting semi trucks and applying the breaks. The hotel made no effort to soundproof the rooms with heavier widows or any kind of sound dampening measures. My wife and I were not able to get any from 4 AM on. The hotel could at least offer ear plugs to make the sound tolerable. If you go to this hotel be sure to demand a room not facing I 4.

Close to Tiger Town. Right off of the highway so all night there was an issue with noise if you’re a light sleeper. Very clean.

The wasn't any breakfast available, was out of coffee, the Kitchen server was on his phone constantly and didn't care about the service or constructive efforts to ask in a polite way of getting some hot food and coffee. Seemed irritated because we asked. Carpets was worn badly and very dirty! Bathroom had a bug on the Tub of the shower! Microwave didn't work properly and barely heated the food and was needing to restart it several times to heat just one (1) item.

The only saving grace was a comfortable bed. Continental breakfast was a joke. No juice just water. This am there were 4 yogurts for the whole hotel.

What a dump! The shower head was 4ft tall and leaking like a stuck pig. Breakfast? What breakfast… what little there was looked disgusting. The place has a bad odor.

Breakfast was OK, sausages were sitting in grease. If you had 2 people in a room you had to go to breakfast at the same time, they give you a slip. Not a fan of that since my son likes to eat at 6:30 am and I usually don't eat until about 8:30. Room needed some work, bathroom fan didn't work, tub needed some caulking. Had to call for stopper in sink since I wear contacts and didn't need to accidently drop one down the drain. Had to call and change fridge, that didn't work. She offered to change rooms but my sister was right across the hall. Other than that the cost was good and night front desk lady was really nice.

It's right next to the highway and very noisy. The continental breakfast is a joke at best. I had to run the shower for 15-20mins just to get some hot water. I definitely woukd not recommend this place. I stayed because i just needed a quick place to rest my head for the night.

We were staying for one night - 2 adults with a small 11 lb Shih Tzu. Booked a king room pet friendly. When first walking in the room had a strong odor of animal urine and the bathroom fan leaked water onto the toilet. Then when we sat down to eat food that my husband walked to get and bring back - THERE WAS A ROACH ON THE TABLE/DESK. We asked to move rooms at this point and with no issues doing that, we were moved to a room with 2 double beds but did have a better smell and no leaking bathroom fan. I searched high and low for bugs and thankfully didn’t see anything in this room. The rooms are definitely dated and not the most current. The staff was helpful! I’m pretty sure we personally wouldn’t stay again.
