SpringHill Suites by Marriott Miami Airport South Blue Lagoon Area

This hotel is great! Limited shuttle hours. The shuttle runs from 6 am to 9 pm. We landed after 9 pm and had to pay $40 to be dropped off. Shuttle hours should be explained at booking. Other than that, hotel is great! Breakfast is cool.

Everything was a 10! The only negative is that 1 of the 2 elevators were not working.

Pool was great, with an outdoor section overlooking the water. Great price for everything!

Ice machine and elevator was broken. Have to pay separately for parking per night on property. Breakfast was decent enough. Room was spacious but showed signs of wear and tear.

We didn't have keys to enter our room because the key system was down so management had to open the door for us. The elevator stop working with one of my family members in it for an hour. There were no eggs for breakfast. The waffle machine should've been refilled but it wasn't. The shuttle wait was every hour just to go to the airport which was 20 minutes away. The housekeeper knocked on my door twice after I told her we were checking out. She came back again 10 minutes later and opened the door all before 12 00 check out. I stopped her and asked why and she said sorry. Other than her the housekeeping staff were nice. The staff was very helpful and nice. Management did a great job reassuring us that everything was going to be handled. They were very attentive and made my stay more comfortable. The rooms were clean and spacious.

Great stay, rooms are comfortable, pool was nice. Free breakfast was omelets, biscuits & gravy, bacon & sausage. Several other items. Staff was all very friendly. Small bar in hotel, has great food.

The property was very clean and quiet. All staff very professional and courteous. Free breakfast and WiFi! Patrons were nice pool was clean and fun. Ice was located on the first floor lobby. Nice bar and seating areas indoor and outdoor.

We needed to utilize the airport transportation, but the process was difficult and the hotel staff were not interested in helping. The transportation only goes to the hotel once per hour. You have to call ahead for the transportation, but not until you have collected your bags and are waiting for the transportation, which I learned the first time I called before we had our bags. We could have easily gotten on the shuttle that arrived a little after 5 pm, but when I called, they said we had to wait until we were at the door to be picked up to call. So I called back once we were at the door, and the girl on the phone (different than the first person we spoke with) was also talking to her co-worker while we were on the line. She gave unclear directions, and I had to tell her that we were already standing at the door we were supposed to be picked up at when she said “the transportation is every hour on the hour, call us when you are ready to be picked up.” When I asked if the transportation arrives at the airport on the hour or does it leave the hotel on the hour, she said “we have transportation every hour.” It leaves the hotel on the hour and by the time it got to us, it was 6:26 pm. We ended up waiting an hour for the transportation from the time we got our bags until the transportation arrived.

I did not like paying for parking. However, friendly staff.

The only thing that is important to tell the customers is that the free airport shuttle runs only until 9:00pm. If you plane is late than that you need an Uber.

Absolutely disgusting roaches told front desk didn’t even offer to switch my room.

The rooms were outdated, and the carpet had a musty, old odor. Unfortunately, there were bed bugs, both my wife and I ended up with red marks all over our legs, which made for a terrible experience. I reported this to the front desk at checkout.

The room was NOT clean. There were carpet stains and stains on the pullout couch. We also had to call maintenance for the tub being clogged up. The elevator went down and so did the key card machine. There was a line to be escorted to your room because they couldn’t make keys.

I stayed for three nights, and the experience was disappointing. A cockroach showed up in the bathroom, and for two of those nights we couldn’t shower properly because the tub wouldn’t drain. The room was only cleaned once during the entire stay. Honestly, it didn’t feel like a Marriott property. I usually enjoy staying at SpringHill Suites, but after this experience, I wouldn’t return to this one and can’t recommend it.

It was not clean. Carpets, sofa, corridors, towels all had dirt. We stood in a room where the ceiling of the bathroom over the toilet was coming down in pieces! And feces because the damage and odor was coming from a leaked toilet on the floor above us. The people there is very friendly and respectful but the hotel itself needs improvements

Our first room was dirty. There were stains on the mattress. And there was a moldy cigarette smell in the hallway and room. Jessie so kindly moved us to a different room and it was much better but still had a little moldy smell we did sleep well, thankfully Our second room was the same way. It was very dirty smelling You could tell the level five needed a remodel Jessie went above and beyond making us comfortable catering to our knees. He did very well during a busy time with everyone checking in and needing things. The lady at the front desk in the morning after 8 AM was kind of helpful, but it seemed like there might’ve been a language barrier

The breakfast was nice, but not too rich(it’s not like buffet like) the lobby area is clean, bar is good and the personal very nice! Pool is small but doing its job if you want to get relaxed The back view is charming and this is the best way to start your morning! The room is clean but smells like mold and I think we saw it on the furniture and windows. But very quite even if it’s right near the airport if you need rest after long trio

Our room was spacious and clean. Check in was very easy and the at arc was courteous.

Staff was friendly and helpful. Room was clean bed was comfortable. The only complaint is that the AC wouldnt cool the room past 73 degrees, which made the night a warm. We are waiting for them to come fix it or move us to a new room. Room also was missing a hair dryer, but once informed the front desk they quickly brought a new one.

This place was ok. One thing I found super strange was that wash basin is in the room with no door.. which means no privacy. The sofa mattress was not comfortable. They changed our room but still the other room had uncomfortable mattress.

Staff was wonderful!! A/c in room, not so much. Slept on top of covers. Never seemed to get cool enough.

Hotel was okay overall However it was so hot in the lobby and the elevators …. The room was decent but the air conditioning would go from cold to hot and I’m not a huge fan of carpet it was musty smelling!

Rooms were very dated and did not match the updated hotel lobby/bar area. Beds were ok and it was very quiet. We also had a really nice view from our room.

Whoever the architect that this hotel was had no skills. I have to walk in the bathroom and walk over the toilet bowl to close the door bathroom. It was a horrible experience.

It was clearly dark outside so we didn't get to see the lagoon or enjoy the great patio. That was our fault/problem. BUT I can say that the staff was very kind. We checked in with a gentleman named Jesse that was smiling (even at the end of his shift) and kind and asked me how my flights had been and how my day was and seemed genuinely interested in my experience as a customer. He explained what to expect with breakfast and happy hour and you don't always get service on this level at some hotels. Anyway, we'd certainly stay here again. This time it just happened to be a quick overnight after a flight before we drove off in our rental car the next morning but the stay was everything we needed. The rooms were spacious and had a desk and sofa and plenty of room to move around and be comfortable with 3 adults in a room together. Parking is paid via QR code and was easy to manage. Will be back when we're in the MIA area again!

This is my fourth time being at this property and I absolutely love this hotel. Jesse at the front desk is always very helpful.

I had to move from the Springhill to the Hilton. There was 1 lady at the front desk receptionists who was rude. The cleaning staff offered room service and would complain to their supervisor. The supervisor who said she was the manager was very disrespectful with my wife and also to the couple next door.

The Staff was great and always there to assist.

The shuttle service from the airport was terrible! Called hotel at 7:35 PM and was told shuttle would bee there shortly after 8:00. Never showed up even though waiting at door we were told to be at. Called hotel and was told 8:00 shuttle was cancelled and would be another shuttle at 9:00. No show again! Was finally told to take a taxi and hotel would reimburse! After 2 hours finally got to hotel. Desk staff (Lee?) was horrible and just kept complaining he was only one there and was overworked! Was very rude, unresponsive and lied about shuttle! Don’t stay here! Also charged $20 a day for self parking in open lot!

Absolutely the friendliest, most helpful staff! Each one was kind and ready to serve. During breakfast Juan Rodriguez kept it spotless and well stocked. The lobby, pool, and patio were kept very clean. On the patio at the lagoon we saw many iguanas. Our room was spacious. A little dated. The best part was waking up to the lagoon and Miami skyline in the distance. The area around the hotel was clean and safe. Close to the airport and places to pick up food. We would stay here again for sure.

Welcoming, friendly, courteous and helful staff went above and beyond to make stay comfortable and enjoyable. Dont normally complete reviews but try to make it a point to share comments especially when positive as I do complain when I am not satisfied. Kudos! Will certainly recommend.

No greet from staff. No one at the front desk. It took 15 min for them to attend the front desk. They disappeared

When I first called the hotel and spoke to the front desk, we were NOT told that the shuttle was ‘on the hour’. I was just told to meet outside on the second floor to post number 9 or 28 and call back. When I called back, it was 7:10pm and was told that I had to wait until 8pm to be picked up. On the Expedia website, it also stated that it was a 8 minute drive from the airport to the hotel. The shuttle bus arrived at 8:25 and we had a stop over at a plaza to pick up some other people - so the shuttle bus was not direct. If I had known, I would’ve taken a taxi immediately as opposed to waiting an hour and a half to get to the hotel. When we arrived at the hotel, the front desk person said we could grab some breakfast the next morning (before 6:30am) as our flight was at 8:30am leaving Miami and we had to take the 6am shuttle. The breakfast area was already set up, but we were told by another staff member that we were not allowed to enter the breakfast area (not even to get a muffin, slice of bread or a banana to go). Our room was extremely cold, and I tried to adjust the temperature with the fan, and it didn’t make a difference. I was not able to shut off the air conditioner and when it reached the set temperature the heat would come on. So we were either too cold or too hot. Lastly, I never received a dinner bill receipt at check out and the front desk had a difference billing system than the bar. I would NOT recommend this hotel as the Customer Service was horrendous!

I love this hotel! Its very clean and the lady at the front desk named Ruth was amazing. Super friendly, helpful and accomodating. Breakfast was good too! There is a free shuttle to and from the airport.

Convenient to airport and that’s about it. Nowhere to walk to- but the hotel offered their shuttle bus to take us to restaurant- off site.

We really liked the facility, it was clean and the staff were friendly. The breakfast was very good. We did not like the fact that there was nothing in walking distance. If we wanted food we had to take an uber or order in.

Not a cheap hotel amd misleading amenities. Says there is a restaurant but it's really just some bar snacks. And it's posted to be open from 4:30 to 6:00 but didnt even open until 6:00 and then I had to ask the front desk to call someone to come. Will not stay here again.

The breakfast area was somewhat chaotic. Everyone's hands on everything!! Health hazard!!!! Got ill shortly after and skipped breakfast for the rest of my stay. Otherwise, friendly staff and clean, comfortable environment.

This hotel was perfect location for our needs. It was also clean, staff was nice, and the continental breakfast was good.

The number of breakfast buffet options and quality of food was fantastic. Multiple friendly staff members were available refilling items and making sure guests had everything they needed. The hotel was quiet and felt safe. We watched several planes taking off/ landing right outside our window.
