Property is clean. Staff very helpful. Elevators very slow. Breakfast was the same items for the 3 days we were there. Property could use some updating. Couch in our room was very worn. Easy to get to, close to universal with a shuttle there.

We stayed here during our recent trip to Universal Studios. It is extremely close to the park. The hotel was clean and the person checking us in was very friendly. The breakfast was good and consisted of pancakes, waffles, scrambled eggs, sausage, juice, and cereal. They have a shuttle to Universal but it only runs once per day. I recommend taking an Uber or Lyft as it is only around $7.

So close to Universal with shuttle service available. Very clean and quiet. Only issue was the pool area , had garbage around it and it hadn’t been cleaned for all the leaves it.

We stayed for 4 nights and had a decent experience, with the exception of a few things. The breakfast was very limited, with few healthy options. The eggs and sausage were cold every morning. The elevator seemed unstable and kept jerking as it reached the floor. The doors also opened before the elevator came to a complete stop. Our room was clean, but had a musty odor that was very noticeable upon entry.

Very nice property staff was helpful but when we checked in I was told that there was a shuttle to Universal and that at 8:15 you could catch it and that the last one coming back was 5:30 pm! I thought that was a on going shuttle wrong! Maybe make that know in Bold Print! And say only one for the day when they tell you about it!

The breakfast bar is very poorly stocked. The elevators keep breaking down the property needs a lot of tlc. Have stayed there several times the past year or so. And it’s a continual down slide.

The first night was fine however on the second night after taking a shower on the corner of my bed there was a massive cockroach. I killed it and complained about it the following morning to which the hotel staff said they would release a chemical to fix it. The next day there was another bug in the room and the bed sheets had some sort of brown stain on them. I was repulsed and had a terrible stay not to mention the breakfast was terrible.

Property looked safe, easy parking, staff nice. Our room had sugar ants in it, which were in all my kids sweets and cups. We bought a box of cookies from Insomnia and the ants transfered from our cookie box to our car because we had no clue. Until we we opened the box up after loading our items and I had a hard time getting rid of the ants out of my car right away! I asked fir compensation and received nothing! So i won't stay here again!

Our stay was very pleasant. The hotel was very clean & had a fresh smell throughout the building. The staff were courteous & professional. The breakfast was very good as well. This place was very close to restaurants, amusement parks & gas stations and the price was right.

The grounds was filled with trash, windows in room look like it hasn’t been touch. Pool had debris. Noise from the neighboring rooms arguing in rooms and hallway and sound from the road was a problem noisy.

Good evening, I stayed in Rm 427 and reported their was black mold in my room near the air conditioning unit at approx midnight on 3/7/2025. There was no availability in the hotel for me to switch rooms and it was noted on my account at midnight. When I checked out I request the 3/6/2025 charge be removed. At the time I check out, no one had addressed the mold reported in the room. I requested a full refund including room, taxes and fees for 3/6/2025. I also requested removal of the charges, taxes and fees for 3/7 and 3/8/2025 which were days I paid in advance through Expedia. I have pictures of the black mold and the next morning I had a sore throat and was coughing up phlegm, which I wasn't doing previously. I requested someone from the hotel to contact me. I was texted through the system with a response that no refund would be given and what I stated was untrue. I will escalate this issue. This is awful for health, safety and service. No one addressed my concern nor even attempted to correct the issue while I was on property. This is unacceptable.

Hotel is definitely outdated, attention to even the smallest detail is not there. The front desk staff leaves a lot to be desired. The free breakfast was ok. The price ($113) we paid wasn’t such a great deal but should be what they always charge I would have been very upset had I paid more. The plumbing when running the bath was extremely loud and vibrated the wall and was obnoxious. I-4 traffic can be heard from the room, light sleepers definitely need earplugs. When on the 4th floor of the 4 floor hotel the elevator button points up. The fire suppression system is sticking a good 1-2 inches out of the ceiling. The shower curtain is not the right width or length resulting in water all over the bathroom floor and entry. There is no parking fee which is great but the front desk attendant made it sound like the parking lot wasn’t safe mentioning we should try to park as close to the building as possible, which scared the daylights out of me since I was there with my young child for a specialty doctors appointment the next. We won’t stay there again should we need to return to the area.

Place was clean and staff were friendly. I do wish there was more storage/drawers in the room. There for a week so I prefer to not live out of a suitcase. Good refrigerator size. Lots of close places to eat. Not within walking distance to universal but only 5 min drive. I do wish for little more variety at breakfast, but at least it's included. I would stay again.

The front desk was super friendly We were able to keep our car here even we checked out that day and use the shuttle to go to the park ,saved us some money because parking at Universal is over $30.00. Rooms a spacious, bed a comfortable, location is awesome, overall a great stay

Front desk staff is ALWAYS amazing! Check-in is super easy! They are SO close to Universal! Whenever I drive up for a short one night stay, this is my choice hotel! Absolutely love how friendly they are! On my last visit during check-in he recognized me from a previous stay. That definitely made me feel welcomed. They actually pay attention to their guests. I have no complaints and WILL return!

The lady at check in was very rude and not welcoming, she had the worst attitude and personality, she definitely doesn’t need that job, the sink was stopping up really bad and it took so long for the water to get hot it was about to run over, the room was dusty, the curtains were filthy and so was the carpet, we had a family of 4 and constantly had to ask for enough towels for 4 people, we checked out and got the same rude individual that checked us in and she never acknowledged us when we walked up she said you can put the key in the basket, she never thanked us and asked how was our stay, we typically love Windgates by Wyndham and never had a problem until this horrible experience, we will never stay here again, we chose this because it was convenient to universal but never will make this mistake again.

Upon checking in, we were greeted by an amazing host (forgot his name 😞, but it was around 11:45pm on 8/17). He was super nice, helpful, and always had the most infectious smile on his face. The breakfast was great! Id totally stay again. Thanks!!

Stay was Ok. Staff was generally friendly, except for a couple exceptions like one of the ladies that attended breakfast, who was very rude. Front desk seemed to be empty most of the time, and there was no answer when I called several times from my room, so had to come down and wait. This is NOT a quiet property where you can rest or work. There is noise ALL the time, so it’s fine if you plan on being out all day because the location is very good, but if you’re looking for a place to rest, look elsewhere. Breakfast was ok, but it’s the exact same thing every day, some fruit options would have been nice.

Was easy access. Peter, overnight support, was so helpful and kind. Breakfast was quite basic.. we often times came downstairs 30min before end time and then they weren't refilling anymore. Overall exactly what we needed.

The receptionist when we checked in looks like need more orientation on how to greet guests. Breakfast, disappointing, nothing to choose being a known hotel & having lots of guests in the facility. Lady taking care of the food was rude doesn't know how to respond nicely. Not satisfied and really overrated not expecting being excellent on other reviews.

Had a great night's sleep. Free shuttle to Citywalk and Universal Studios! Breakfast was just ok. Scrambled eggs were made from dried something or other; tasted like bits of cardboard.

Room was good. They advertise having transportation to the universal parks. There is one shuttle at 8:00am that takes you to the park and one at 5:00pm that picks you up from the park. I had expected to have more possibilities. We ended up using Uber which was easy and cheap. Breakfast was pretty good. No fresh fruit though. Gave 1 star for environmental friendliness because everything at breakfast was disposable and our towels were changed every day even when we hung them up.

The breakfast bar is very poorly stocked. The elevators keep breaking down the property needs a lot of tlc. Have stayed there several times the past year or so. And it’s a continual down slide.

It was what it was for the price I paid for a 5 day stay in Orlando. Especially being not too far from Universal...which wasn't why I was there. The breakfast was sub-par and I didn't partake. They had waffles, mini donuts, bananas and sausage patties. I would stay again if I came for another class but definitely not if I came for vacation. The front desk staff was pretty nice except for the one rude one. I didn't even care to ask her name and luckily I only saw her once in 5 days. I'd give them a 5.5/10

Estuve 5 días. El desayuno era muy limitado, siempre lo mismo. Revueltos, salchichas, pan club, donuts y waffles. Un día no hubo syrup para los waffles. El ultimo día, añadieron guineos. La limpieza del cuarto estuvo muy bien.

Our family recently stayed here during our two-day Universal Studios vacation, and overall, we had a pleasant experience. One of the main reasons we chose this hotel was because of the shuttle service to Universal Studios. Unfortunately, the shuttle schedule was more limited than we expected, with only one departure at 8:30 a.m. and one pickup at 5:30 p.m. This was a bit disappointing, especially since we were hoping for more flexibility during our park days. The breakfast was simple but worked well for our family. The kids were happy with the waffles, and the adults enjoyed the eggs and sausage. We did wish there had been some fruit available, but thankfully we brought some of our own. Our room was comfortable and worked well for our family. We stayed in a king-size room with a sofa bed, which our son used. He did mention that the sofa bed was not the most comfortable, but the king-size bed was comfortable for us. We had also read a few comments about the walls being thin, but we were actually staying next door to my in-laws and never heard them at all! The front desk service was truly wonderful. A special shout-out to Francesca, who was so welcoming and helpful when we arrived and also assisted us at checkout. She made a great first impression and was just as kind when we left. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and appreciated the clean, comfortable room and friendly service.
