Courtyard by Marriott Pensacola

Went to the staff twice regarding the gym( fitness center )temperature being hot, humid and uncomfortable. Staff said they could not lower the temp, joked that I was supposed to sweat in the gym and told me I could prop open the door. I’m paying a lot of money to stay at the hotel and if they can’t even fix the temperature in the gym is bad business. It was already 90 degrees outside and the inside thermostat was reading 78 for the gym.

Cody was a joy to check in with, super polite and quick, the room was clean and well appointed. The only hitch in the plan was the indoor pool was freezing, would have thought with it being indoor that it would have been at least tepid. Other than that it was a great stay.

The part that I didn't like is that we took an Uber there and still got charged for parking? How the hell can you do that to somebody that don't have a car? They should ask the customer if they have a vehicle or they Uber or what something is a $10 charge for parking is insane when you don't have a car. Just saying we'll never stay there again thank you

Rep at the desk was amazing the gym was clean and had a great view of the pool the room was cozy and alot of restaurants close to the hotel

The only complaint would be that they charge for parking daily. The other 2 Marriott hotels next door do not charge for parking.

Everything was good. The pool was inside and it was too cold.

The room was spacious and clean. My children enjoyed the indoor pool. The hotel is tucked away however near several food and shopping areas. The price was unbeatable as well compared to other hotels.

Property was clean although pool malfunction one day and can no longer use. Got to the hotel to find out they charge $10 now to park per day. Read the fine print not disclosed on Expedia. Be careful.

Loved the location of the property. Easy access to parkways, restaurants, etc. During my stay the Bistro was not open due to low capacity at the hotel. While I do understand this, it was a great disappointment.

The bed sheets worry filthy and dirty. Had to have the front desk bring clean sheets for us to change on New Years Eve night.

First we got to the hotel and we check in we inspect the room. We looked around and found bed having dried something on the covers there was hair on the bed , dead flies in the window seal , dirty couches we didn’t even want to sit on and then we reach out to Expedia and they call the hotel and then a women by the name of Sandra came in the room and try in to intimidate us. She was demanding to see all the issue with the room and when we showed her she kept try in to belittle us stating “ if we traveled enough we would know hotels are like this “ she was very unprofessional and came in angry because we didn’t like the cleaning of the room in which we paid for. She ended up coming in the room not helping not offering any help with this just came in to start an argument.

We stayed 2 nights and came down for a funeral. Our room had a musty odor which maintenance did come to the room and wiped out and vacuumed excess water from the units put some algae tablets in it. It was better for about 15 or so hours but starting getting worse. Our daughter’s room smelled great. The front desk and the other workers were nice and friendly.

They have clean rooms and great service. The lobby, however, smells of mold.

The restaurant wasn’t even open while we were there. The indoor pool was way too cold to even get in, which the pool is the reason I chose this location for my 5 y/o. I enjoy a slightly firm bed but the bed was way too firm for me. Even my husband woke up complaining.

The whole place smelled like weed, our thermostat wouldn’t change but was set to 62 so the ac ran all night and was freezing, couldn’t turn it off or down at all.

The front office personnel was very friendly. The rooms were very clean. The mattress was too hard for me. The only thing I didn’t like was I had to pay 10 dollars to park my car in the parking lot.

Noisy. Poor insulation of walls between rooms- could hear TV next door late at night.

Front desk was in an argument when i arrived and they proceeded to argue whole i was waiting lol they coudlve easily took that in the back room in closed doors.

The room was very nice had a lot of space and a nice balcony. It was a great stay staff was friendly. The only thing that i kind of didn’t like was the sofa bed there was no sheet for it and it seemed old because the mattress looked yellow-ish and when i tried to open it, it made loud noises. Also, every time i went inside the room it had some sort of smell which i dont know how to describe but it was kind of bad besides that it was a great hotel.

Internet did not function the entire stay. my room last name was not accepted. The AC never reached desired temp on thermostat AND AC would cut out regularly across sleeping hours, causing warm and sleepless experience.

Service is excellent

Upon arriving at the hotel, I approached the front desk, eager to check in after a long journey. Unfortunately, the interaction was far from warm. The receptionist didn't even ask for my ID; instead, she moved straight to her computer, processing our reservation with an air of indifference. Without any greeting or pleasantries exchanged—no “good evening” or “hello”—she handed me our room keys after just requesting my credit card. As she slid the key cards across the counter, I pointed to the left and asked about the elevator. Her only response was a terse “that’s all” before she returned to her screen, leaving me feeling somewhat dismissed. Exhausted, we made our way up to our assigned room, only to discover that one of the key cards failed to unlock the door. Frustration began to bubble beneath the surface. After a long day, I wasn’t in the mood for more complications. I took the elevator back down, seeking help from the young woman at the front desk. I explained the situation and asked her to reset the key card. She glanced at me, a bit detached, and did as I requested. Once back at our room, we tried again, and this time the door finally opened—only to reveal that we had been assigned to a room already occupied by guests! Shocked and bewildered, we stood there momentarily, and my frustration escalated. We returned to the front desk for the second time, and I clearly conveyed my irritation at the whole experience. First and foremost the pay for parking policy is totally unacceptable and not mentioned in the Expedia app. The young lady who checked us in had absolutely no customer service skills. No greeting! Simply “name and id” When I refused to pay for the parking I got a lecture about how Marriott is now charging for parking at all properties. She reluctantly said I would get a refund on the parking. The 2-3 day wait thing! Funny when you pay for the room it is instant. Refunds take days!!! The room was modern and clean. Too bad reception but the stay a low rating. Seriously Marriott needs to train their staff better. This is why I typically use IHG hotels.

Checked in after 10pm. Got to the room and maintenance was doing work in room. Went back down stairs and was told it would be another 15/20 minutes. Came back 20 minutes later and still had to wait. After all that, another guest arrived and was checked in while I was sitting there waiting for a room.

The only thing that we had a problem with is that it was a terribly long wait for just coffee. The girl was amazing that was working but it took 30 minutes to get a coffee bc she was short staffed. The girl that was there was running crazy trying to help us but she can only do so much. The little girl behind the desk should have helped out. I also think that you should offer brewed coffee for free. Just a suggestion.

Best nights sleep after a day at the beach with family. It's not close to the beach but it is quiet, clean and its a Marriott! The front desk was super nice. We needed a room with a sleeper but it wasnt available so a foldable bed was brought in for our teenager within 30 minutes. Pet friendly with a nice big green grass area and poop bags! Our pooches were happy. There is a pool. Air conditioning was perfect. Bed phenomenal. Shower amazing with the eucalyptus lavender body wash. Pick this hotel if you want a good nights sleep. Oh there was a balcony too! We needed it to dry off out towels and swimsuits.

Unremarkable stay. Just as expected. Good location.

This property was just average, for the price you pay for a room you’d think they’d have free coffee / tea / hot water available all day, you’d also think that for the price they’d provide complimentary breakfast instead of a “to go bag” in order to get a hot breakfast you had to “pre-pay” for breakfast and believe me it wasn’t anything to make a big deal about - the hot breakfast you pre paid for was listed on the back of a card that you had to present to the bar area, you only had a choice of 3 items, these items and the other items they offered for breakfast were all prepared ahead of time, then they took them out of the refrigerator and warmed them up in like an air fryer - they also offered like scones, blueberry muffin etc….those items were warmed up the same way the breakfast was and were directly from Starbucks just like there coffee was from Starbucks, they only offered regular coffee or you could get a typical Starbucks latte coffee. The service was slow, only 1 person working and she complained that she was over worked. Ashame that Courtyard by Marriott doesn’t think their patrons are worthy enough for free coffee (regular & decaf) / tea or hot water

Everyone was very friendly. The room was cold when we arrived, which is just the way we like it! The Bistro in the lobby had fresh Starbucks coffee, which is always a plus!

Not the 1st Marriott Courtyard I’ve stayed & if the can’t properly staff breakfast they shouldn’t offer it. Only a few hours & never more than 2 people working.

No breakfast. Only a starbucks. Had to pay for coffee. Will not stay again. Check in was great. Room was great. But no coffee or juice in morning? Crazy.

Property is clean and tidy. Having huge parking options and sure shopping places to shop and near to restaurants adjacent to this property. Hotel served hot breakfast and it’s fresh and delicious. Highly recommended.

I thought the breakfast was outrageous and would probably stay somewhere with free breakfast or at least reasonably priced. I didn't try the cocktails as I was afraid of what the costs may have been.

Bravo! Worst Marriott stay to-date. Walked up for a coffee, maybe a breakfast sandwich. “sorry, no breakfast today and 10-15 minutes for coffee.” I shared with online chat and their response? Wait for it… go talk to the front desk for a free breakfast. Room was decent. Awkward layout. Room comes with one caff and one decaf coffee packet. Check-in was smooth and courteous, although there were 2 people at the counter and one was doing the customer work while the other was focused on something else other than the customers in line… not even an acknowledgement they have paying customers standing before them. Overall, You can lead a horse to water….
