The room was clean and the breakfast was good, the negative things were told to me upon arrival. Under construction, water limited certain times, slowest elevator, pool out of commission, but I had booked where I couldn’t cancel so we stayed.

Friendly staff and front desk check in. Property is a bit older with noticeable wear and tear but it is in the process of remodeling. It should be really nice when finished. Although the condition might be a bit worn currently, the rooms, lobby, and breakfast were kept very clean by the maids.

We were attacked in our beds by a swarm of ants and had to wake up from our sleep to change rooms. both rooms were disgusting, mold in shower, toilet was not properly sealed and shaking, toilet bowl was caked in feces and repulsive. shower heads had terrible water spots and entire bathtub just covered in shower scum and mold.

Way overpriced. In January we stayed at IHG Holiday inn, Celebration, FL for less than half what we paid here and the experience was much better. Here, the room smelled musty and damp, there was mold in the bathtub, dirt in corners, the bed was like trying to sleep on jello, there's no restaurant or bar, desk clerk was unable to add $3. + $2.50 + $1.50 = $7. Short-changed me and had attitude when I questioned it. Overall experience was negative. We won't be back.

The property looks run down from the outside. Front desk staff was very nice and accommodating however our room had some concerns. The bed sheets had hair, the bed skirts were stained and the bed was not made up neatly, was wrinkly. The sofa was old and had stains. One of the phones weren’t working. There were no other rooms available and the cleaning staff already left for the day so we decided to leave.

What we loved: VERY clean, very friendly helpful staff. Beds and pillows super comfortable. Breakfast was the usual. Great location with walking trail to nearby park with awesome playground! What was disappointing: the hot water and the shower comes and goes. And when it goes it can take long minutes to get hot again while you’re standing there freezing cold and wet waiting. We stayed here 4 nights and it was the same every time any of us showered. We also heard other guests complaining about it. We weren’t using the pool but did check it out and it was freezing so just fyi. Otherwise would stay here again!

Property was fairly clean. There was no USB adapter in the rooms which is hard to believe considering most hotel rooms now have them built into the lights or the bed itself. Unable to charge my phone. Elevator was very slow and didn’t seem safe. I kept hearing doorbells from other rooms so Room was not very isolated. Shower was nice. Bathroom was clean and bed was clean.

Place was ok for 1 night but definitely not worth $220. It was more like a motel than a hotel. Only booked here because it was a Holiday Inn but not up to par. It was old and looks like they painted it and that was it. Everything else is old

Confused on why I was charged twice for a single night stay that I had already paid for through hotels.com. I was charged approximately $185 by hotels.com and then $173 the day of check in when it was made clear that I only needed to pay the $185.

The Holiday Inn Express in Plant City, FL, canceled my reservation on Hotels.com and didn't inform me the morning of, I got to the hotel the first night of my two-night stay with two children for a cheer competition, to find the booking was canceled and then told me they have nothing available. Proceeds to try and get me a queen suite or a king standard for the same price. My bank never put a hold/or stop on my account... The person at Holiday Inn didn't even let me know the morning of... I drove 2.5 hours to learn that I might not have a place to stay for the weekend. This happened to two other parents I know who were in our group. Added stress that didn't even need to happen. And, beds weren't made, and towels were never replenished. Hotels.com understood and helped me, and this hotel did nothing.

We selected this particular Holiday Inn Express due to the excellent reviews, cleanliness and friendliness of staff and were willing to drive a little further for a high star rating. We only took advantage of the hot breakfast once but it was a full breakfast with fresh items. Wanted to give Aaron a shout out at the front desk for accommodating our request for late check out since we had a late evening flight. He was super friendly and made our stay extra enjoyable. Would we stay here again? Absolutely yes.

Julie at the check in and check out was amazing! She made us laugh! Told us places to go, we wish she was able to be part of our girls trip! She made us want to come back! Mike from maintenance was funny he made us laugh when we were checking out. The whole team that was on during our stay made our first GIRLS TRIP memorable and made us feel like we had made a new family! Thank you so much! The hotel was one of the cleanest and smelled so good from the time you walked into the hotel till the time you left!

A great stay! Friendly welcome, quick check-in. Carts available at the front door to take things to the room. Room was clean, ready for our stay. Breakfast was excellent. Good variety of fresh and prepackaged items. The biscuits with sausage gravy was very yummy! My compliments to Miss Ann, having made up a special “to go plate” for my grandson, who missed breakfast with me. A very pleasant lady, running the ship at the breakfast buffet. A great stay, we will return on our next visit to the area! Suggestion: For easier cart access to/from the entry and the main parking lot on the west side of the building, I recommend removing the shrubbery and curb at the end of the sidewalk, and pouring a sloping ramp to the parking lot level.

The day check in lady kate was extremely friendly, night desk not so much. Entire baseball team booked beer for our tournament. Our boys were respectful, but boys will be boys and the night desk person felt they should just sit in the rooms from 8pm to 8am, very frustrating how rude she was. Hotel is under construction, so water shut on and off. Was not told that prior to stay being booked. Definitely needs to be upgraded.

Had to give &100.00 deposit from my credit card. When I left I asked for it back. They said it will be returned in a couple days. That was the 27th now it is the 3 still no money. I wanted a room with a king bed. They gave me handicapped room. I offered to pay more for a. Regular room. The answer was. No! They wouldn’t give me receipt !!!

The hotel was extremely clean, and the staff were all friendly and helpful. The location is right off the highway, so it has easy access. I would have liked to have restaurants closer.

Great staff here, pancakes and eggs, super clean, very comfy bed, lots of free parking. Technically Plant City but close to Lakeland with its walkable downtown.

It was easily accessible from I-4. Bed was comfortable. Room was as very clean. They were renovating which was much needed. Just wish they would have cleaned rooms during our stay and provided more towels.

It was close to where my family lives and it was right off the interstate. Low on traffic most days so made traveling easy.

We have stayed at other hotels in the area. The Holiday Express seems to be the most convenient in regards to accessibility to the interstate and there is a convenience store with in walking distance. The rooms are clean and the property around the building is nicely maintained.

What we loved: VERY clean, very friendly helpful staff. Beds and pillows super comfortable. Breakfast was the usual. Great location with walking trail to nearby park with awesome playground! What was disappointing: the hot water and the shower comes and goes. And when it goes it can take long minutes to get hot again while you’re standing there freezing cold and wet waiting. We stayed here 4 nights and it was the same every time any of us showered. We also heard other guests complaining about it. We weren’t using the pool but did check it out and it was freezing so just fyi. Otherwise would stay here again!

Building is aged and shows many areas of wear and tear, within the rooms and also in the public areas. Other than being worn, the room was clean, for the most part. Breakfast was the best I’ve had from hotel’s offering included breakfast

The hotel is well maintained and convenient to I-4. Our room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was better than most, and even with a lot of people trying to make a mess it was kept in order. We will stay there again next time we're in the area.

Our stay at the Holliday Inn Express Suites in Plant City, FL was an excellent one because of the cleanliness, professionalism of the staff, friendliness of the staff and the willingness to make things right that we pointed out. Missing "Do Not Disturb/Clean" our room in our absence. The breakfast was tasty and sufficient. What could not be helped was the other guests children that did not leave the area neat nor left food for the other guests. The chaperones did choral them to be more orderly while they devoured all the pastries. The HIE staff handled the crowd well by tending to the empties as soon as possible and cleaned constantly while the guests were filing their plates. However, the last day, the oven was out of order which caused us to find breakfast in a different establishment.

Chose this hotel specifically to utilize the outdoor pool for a fun end of summer and my last 2 days visiting my grandchildren. No indication of pool being under maintenance anywhere. Asked for extra towels FOR THE POOL at check in. No mention of pool out of order at check in. No signage of pool maintenance. I changed my grandchildren into their swimsuits and put on their swim vests. So much fun trying to wrangle a one and a half year old and a four year old into this attire. I changed into my swimsuit. We gathered up our towels and pool toys and headed to the pool. After exiting the outer door, went to unlock the pool gate. Nope. Back inside to ask if there's an easier way to enter the pool. It was at this time I found out the pool's closed for maintenance. One year olds and four year olds are so understanding when they can't swim after I'd been hyping it up all day. I asked to transfer to a different hotel with a working pool. Can't do that....blah blah blah. Said the only option is to cancel and I find another hotel. I feel the desk person could have told me this at check in. I explained the whole point of our little trip was to swim I asked to be comped for the price of the room for two nights. Can't do that blah blah blah. They could do that. Holiday Inn Express chose not to do this. And for those who may say I should've called ahead to check if the pool is available for use. Nope. Holiday Inn should've alerted me at check in.
